The product itself is great and from a distance looks like a real flame. Perfect for the use I was purchasing it for. Unfortunately the packaging for the product was insufficient and the product came broken. The plastic body split in half. I actually sent it back and ordered another one. Unfortunately that one came broken as well. One of the lights had broken off. I was still able to use it for the one time event since I didn't have time to order a 3rd one, but overall I was bummed because when plugged in it really does look like a real flame. I think purchasing it from a local party store would be a better bet, since the company packaging may not be aware of their packing issues.

In my Table Top Flame Lamp Review I have a few things to say you may be interested in if you want to get one...

I super like these lamps as they give a feeling of a warm fire (visually of course) and I've had 2 so far.

The 1st one was a gift and it had an amber flame just as the color appears in the Amazon ads you see. This is a warm flame and very realistic to have in a room. It adds color and character to your environment all year around, not just Halloween or winter.

However, beware that with some of the news ones, they may ship with not an amber flame color, but a red flame.

This is a vastly different effect from the amber flame. My daughter liked it so I kept it but I did 2 things to it to make it better.

I frayed the silk flame fabric with scissors to add a more realistic flame effect to it and I also added in 2 amber strips of fabric in with the red. You can find it in any fabric store.

Of course, use your own discretion on that as you will void any return policy when you modify it like I did. However, it sure made the red flame lamp look so much better with the mixed flame effect.

I secured it to the bottom of the lamp with a little duct tape strip to the bottom of each added flame. It's a fan that blows the air upward so it runs cool and sticks well and is hidden from view.

My best advice is to contact the seller and see if you can verify which color it ships in but the best of the 2 colors by far is the amber flame color.

Ugh I have less than 10 days till my halloween party. Bought them to stand on the snack table.im so disappointed. Well that's how the cookie crumbles! I'm sending them back. ASAP. Never again with this company.

I got this lamp for my grandson at Christmas time and there's no off/on switch on the cord, like one that I own. It's dangerous for a child to unplug a lamp over & over. There's hardly any material on top to resemble a flame (it's so cheap they could have put much more) I had to 'add' more to make it look like fire! And the fan that propells the 'flame' was blowing one side well but not the other. Spend more and order a better one. I gave him mine.

This lamp is so pretty and special with its night light. My daughter uses it daily, and sleeps with the night light on. The lamp gives great light. One warning if the lampshade becomes tilted, the bulb can burn it (it happened to us). I turned that side to the back, but it wasn't really a solution. Since there are so few lamps with night lights built in, I think we were lucky to find it. Now if I can only get another shade...

I received this lamps yesterday. They were very easy to assemble. They say the shades have a suede finish, was disappointed that they were plastic. The table lamps are a nice height, but the floor lamp could be a few inches taller. The color and metal matches my dining room chairs perfectly.

Basically it's just about what I expected, but better. The stand comes in three pieces that screw right into each other. It's fast and easy to set up and looks seamless when completed. This was perfect for my use: a directional reading lamp that can also be used to light bookshelves for browsing and brighten up a dark corner. The lamp is sturdy and the base heavy so it doestn't tip easily, but it also can be lifted and moved around when needed. Each lamp housing swivels all the way around so I can direct it anywhere: to focus on a picture on the wall or on the bookshelves. I am using compact fluorescent bulbs in the lamp so the housings stay cool to the touch while I have plenty of light to ready by. Love the lamp.

Do not have anything negative to say about this lamp. My favorite things about the lamp are:

-Sturdy nice study metal

-Easy to Assemble!

-Great Price

-Love that you can adjust amount of light by turning on 1, 2 or all 3 lights

-Adjustable light the heads adjust so you can direct the light just where you want it

-Sleek design not too big so it fits almost anywhere

-Came well packed in nice box.

I would suggest using energy light bulbs. At first I had regular 60 watt light bulb and it got really hot, but I switched to the spiral energy saving bulbs and the heads do not get nearly as hot and the light is a lot nicer cooler light all around.

I was very pleased when I saw it come out of the box. It looks very nice and had a sturdy base that could even stand up on a carpet. On the first day I used the maximum allowed 60 watt bulbs. A horrible smell filled the room and gave me a headache. I found the center lamp could not be turned off. The reason why is because the rotating switches were held on with glue. The glue melted on the center lamp, and spinning the switch would not turn the small cylindrical piece inside that was covered in melted glue. Apparently I was also breathing in the fumes from hot glue.

I figured 60 watts was too much so after the glue solidified again (after I unplugged it to turn it off) I tried using only 40 watts in all lamp fixtures. The same problem came back. It took twice as long for the glue to melt, but the problem was still there.

I won't use 20 watts because I wanted to use it to read. I am going to attempt to send it back asap if it is not too late.

The worst part of it all is that it is so obvious that you should not be putting glue at the top of a lamp that gets too hot to touch. I am not an engineer, but even I can figure out that making the switches screw on like the top of a bottle would be much better than using a glue which melts and releases horrible fumes.

I am surprised none of the other reviewers had this problem. I wonder if I am the only one unlucky enough to have gotten one which had glue switches instead of some other model they were using. I noticed some of the other reviewers mentioned the smell and heat, but not this problem.

I will not buy from this company again.

It's easy enough to put together and looks fine. The problem is that there are no diffusers on the lamp which makes the bulbs blinding and the spread of light very narrow.

This Brewers lamp is hard to rate. I LOVE how it LOOKS, but the quality is just ok. It's a bit smaller than I pictured it would be. The lamp shade is connected to the base VERY poorly and after a few months the lamp shade already fell off, there is not a way to fix it, I'll have to take it in some where. So, because of the shade and having to deal with finding a place to fix it, I would have to say that I wouldn't have bought it (even though I still think it's the nicest looking one out there).

This gift for my grandson is a simple old fashioned wooden single bulb lamp. The colors are bold and the quality is good. Mine came with the shade damaged, but the seller could not provide a replacement only a refund. Too bad!

Amazon did send an email stating they would provide a refund on the item.

This item was a disappointment to my mom. She was delighted with the idea of a lava lamp, but surprised that this one did not move as expected. As it warmed up, a slow blob moved into place and stayed put. Also we had to put the lamp on a timer so that it would not overheat. She loves watching the movement of things and had hoped this would work all day. It did arrive promptly and as described, but did not function like we had understood a lava lamp would.

Love the lava lamp! Beautiful color, and so calming! After a stressful day of work, I switch it on, let it warm up and just watch it move. It has the same calming effect of watching goldfish, taking a hot bath or meditating. What a wonderful discovery.

The only downside is that it takes up to 1 1/2 hours to get going (the colder my apartment, the longer it takes).

I teach college-level Geology courses and I'm always seeking ways to illustrate certain geological principles while amusing the students at the same time. Well, I can't think of anything much better than a lava lamp. I first spotted this fairly large lava lamp at Target and I just had to have it. The cost was over twice that listed here, but it was worth it for my purposes. I use it when I talk about the igneous rocks (rocks formed from a melt). I talk about the origin of melts and how and why they rise up within the earth and can erupt at the surface as volcanoes. While I'm talking I have the Lava Lamp functioning on the front table and I make occasional remarks and jokes about it. I always have the students' rapt attention. It's a classic design and, I know, was used for other purposes in the 60s (I joke about that too), but I find it a good attention getter in my beginning geology courses.

The lamp may take up the better part of a hour to heat up, so I give it a preliminary heating and get it functioning in my office. Then when I start it up in the classroom it doesn't take very long to begin performing. This is quite a quality lamp, I might add, much better than many of those in the 60s.

Review of Danray Products LLC LMP-18M 18-Inch Snake-Arm Lamp with Magnetic

The Danray is a quality lamp. I got the magnetic base, which is good and strong. I find the 18" model is just right for my lathe work. Seems very similar to the Moffatt light. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. My old Delta light was $17 and lasted for about 6 7 years of occasional home use. I can't complain about that, but I'm hoping the Danray will last a good bit longer. I am happy to recommend this lamp.

Very satisfied with the quality of the lamp. Very strong magnet for sure hold. I inadvertently let it fall over on the work table and it broke the base inside which holds the bulb...impossible to repair so I sadly had to dispose it. However if you avoid such an accident I believe it is a very good lamp. Wish I could afford another one.

Received the lamp well within the time frame specified and discovered it was packed extremely well. The lamp is beautiful and pretty much exactly as the picture. I would not call the finish a nickel, though. It is more like an pale antique gold with silver nickel finial and accents. It really makes a statement.

These are truly pretty lamps and I like them. Here is the problem. The minute I got them and put them in place it was clear the the size of the lamp overwhelmed the application. I measured for height, so height was right--but it's hard to anticipate bulk--and that was the problem. I immediately contacted the seller and had to "ask" to return them. I received an automated response saying that once they were "installed" they were not returnable. I assumed that "installation" would refer to wall and ceiling fixtures, but since these are table lamps--so my mind the "installation" proviso didn't apply. I expected to get a follow up response. I am still waiting...waiting...waiting. At this point I suspect the seller considers "installation" the removing of the lamp from it's packing, and assembling it.

The packing was secure and the lamps arrived in perfect shape. There is a problem with this though--the styrofoam used is the kind that crumbles and fractures easily--so even if the company had given me "permission" to return them repacking them would have been difficult. I would have had to spend time taping together the styrofoam, to secure the lamp well. And, I have to vacuum because of all the little bits and pieces, whether I return them or not.

Bottom line. These are pretty lamps,very good quality lamps, and I like them--I'll find a way to make them work somewhere. But they don't work in the intended place with the intended look. I'm happy enough to keep them--but I do have a problem with a company that requires that they give me "permission" for a return. So, lamps good, company weirdly "1984".
