First one had a cracked piece in the shade. Problem was it was in the front and at the bottom of the shade. Just bad enough that it had to go back. The packing was ok and there was no damage to the carton. The replacement has no cracks but the shade is no where near as nice looking as the first lamps shade was. I'll keep it but I wish the 1st one was not damaged. Needed Amazon to help me with the return to The Renovators Supply as they were not pleasant to deal with.

This lamp is solidly put together and shines light on a specific work area. The glass shade is greatly adjustable so you can control how much light is needed for different tasks. Also, it is heavy lamp, which doesn't slide or sway. The new long-life energy saving florescent bulbs work very well. I use a 10w which gives lots of light. For my situation, I debated between buying a LED lamp and this older fashion design. I'm glad I chose this one. I find the lamp and the shade to be attractive. Delivery time was excellent. I am very satisfied with this desk lamp.

Kichler Bankers Desk Lamp We have a roll top desk and the top is about 10 inches wide. This lamp sits perfectly on the top corner and with it's adjustable shade, we can shine the light right where it's needed. Base is heavy enough to keep the lamp in place when pulling the chain to turn it on or off. Good quality and value for the price.

I received this item expecting a brand new lighting fixture. Somehow a fixture with a crack in the lens was shipped to me in error. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me a replacement and said that I should keep the broken unit for spare parts. Now that's the way customer service should work! I would highly recommend this fixture and this seller. I use the desk lamp on my desk next to my large monitor and it gives perfect light to the area without interfering with my screen. The fixture itself is a solid, very high quality unit. I had another green banker's lamp prior to this that was no where near the quality of this unit.

Cheap, bright, clippable. What's not to like? Only downside (for some) is that it must be plugged into a USB port. I use the extra USB port on my phone charger, which works perfectly.

In fact,... it's so bright,... it's almost blinding.

I clipped it to the screen, but had to pitch the light at a 'scaped angle to the keyboard. As long as you don't mind the shadows in pitch blackness,... it's an awesome light :-D

I purchased two lamps for my living room to replace some that were dated. One of the two lamps that was shipped only worked on one side, but of course I didn't know this before I assembled the lamp and turned it on for the first time.

Amazon makes returns easy and fast, and I had a replacement quickly.

The weird thing is that my old lamps took 100 watt bulbs. These take two 60 watt bulbs. But instead of being brighter, I actually seem to have less light. The shades are light enough that this shouldn't be the reason. Can't explain it.

The lamp is nice, but I have a suspicion this model will not hold up as long as my previous lamps did. (The old lamps worked perfectly but were simply out of style.) Some of the parts had dings and gouges. Because these are in places that no one will notice but me, I decided to keep the lamps. I thought Kichler was a quality product. FYI-these are manufactured in China.

So I'm still very happy with Amazon, but won't feel the same about the Kichler brand as I once did.

I have to say, that I'd set my cap for a POLISHED brass pharmacy lamp and NOBODY had one. It appears that POLISHED brass is out of style. Antiqued brass? Nickel? Chrome? No problem! But POLISHED brass? Forget it. Well, amazon.com had one. The price was right and I ordered it. It's OK. I'd wanted something nicer, but this one will be just fine. It's not as if it's going to The White House.

(To this day, I have no idea what a "parabolic tent" is.)

Easy to assemble, packaged nicely. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. Put them (I bought 2) together in less than 10 minutes.

they're slightly shorter than what you'd expect from an endtable, but beside our bed they look gorgeous. They aren't a prime source of light, but will light up a room enough to give it an ambient effect.

I absolutely love them. I am more than likely going to purchase more for our livingroom.

Overall a nice lamp for the money, but the picture is a little deceiving. The colors are not accurate. I was expecting a maroon/gold lamp and it's actually brown/olive green. Dark brown. When the lamp is off, it's quite dark (almost black). Lit, it's just fine.

Well, I wish the photo for this item did not look so good, as the lamp in real life

is quite dull (with even light shining through). I am trying to decide to return or not.

The small bulb that should be included is not, and the packaging looks like at

least one person opened this before. Think twice, unless you don't mind a lamp

of less color no red in it more neutral colors.

it was a little bigger than thought to be, it takes up a big part of the table at shade height. base and glass are beautiful but hardware to put together is of poor quality and if not tightened properly will lean bad to the side and be wobbly. i had to take it apart after a few attempts and solder the nut to the bottom side so i could crank down on top acorn nut to secure to my liking. for $140 i would like to have seen something more than two 1/8" threaded rods with a nut on the bottom side and acorn nuts on top to hold it together

I ordered the lam pin based on the picture. The lamp I received is yellow and brown, there is no red anywhere in it. Out of the box, it smells bad, sort of like used motor oil. The "leading" is uneven and looks broken in places. The little light bulb for the base was broken during delivery. If I was this lamp in a store, I might have paid $20 for it. This is not the quality or color that I expected. I am not happy with this purchase.

I use these 26 watt CFL light bulbs in a lamp where I only desire a little light..... more than a little night light, but if all of the CFL bulb makers are trying to trick us into believing or accepting these as yielding as much light as a 100 watt incandescent lightbulb, they're not fooling me! Like I mentioned I use this as a step above a night light and they are just fine for my purpose. Truthfully, comparing the brightness of these 26 CFLs to an incandescent bulb, it would be equal to about 40 watts of light. I'm giving this a 4 Star rating only because it is serving one particular purpose for me, not because of it's brightness.

This light is bright with only 2 13w bulbs. A little difficult to self-install; I needed my wife to hold unit while I connected it, so it's easier a a 2-person install job. It states to reuse old insulation, however there wasn't room enough to do soand still be able to moun lamp on wall. If it needs insulation, the manufacturer should have included it as part of the installation supplies

This lamp is great. However, it is probably smaller than what you expect it to be. Although it is 17 inches tall as advertised, it seems 17 inches is much smaller than I had thought. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.

It can take up to a 60 watt bulb, that's what I have in it now. Puts out quite a bit of like for such a small lamp.

You have to assembly it. You bolt the shaft to the base which is the longest part of the assembly and can take quite a few minutes because you have to turn the bolt many times with short strokes. The rest of the assembly is pretty smooth. You attach two pieces which act as a frame for the shade and then put the shade on. The shade is definitely made of paper. So I'm hoping they're not allowed to sell something that can catch fire easily.

The pull chain that turns that lamp on/off takes a little more force than your standard pull chain. Which is a little problematic because the lamp is so small and is extremely light. I use to have to hold the lamp down when I pulled the chain. But now I use a remote power socket so I turn it on/off that way.

This lamp looks very nice... if you don't actually set it up the way it's supposed to be set up. Sadly, the paper lantern part is a bit small for the frame that's supposed to hold it; when I received my first one, it ripped just as I got it stretched to the correct length (the company sent me a new lantern free of charge).

With the second, I just let the paper lantern sit on the frame, and it's fine. A few creases are still visible from where it was folded, but those are fading with time. Other than a too-small lantern cover (or too-large frame), it's well-made, sturdy, and attractive.

UPDATE: Two years later, the creases never hung out. I still like the look of the lantern, but all in all, I'd probably get on that fit its design from the start.

Perhaps I should have taken the "inexpensive cheap" title as a hint. Don't purchase this lamp, unless you want to constantly be putting it back up from flopping over. It has NO weight on the bottom, so when my child pulls the knob to turn it on, it falls over. I threw it away. It's cute, but it's awful.

After struggling for sometime to assemble the lamp, the rod would not secure tightly to the base of the lamp causing the lamp to lean, slightly, to one side. I'm disappointed since this lamp, visually, is quite nice and the size, as mentioned by others, is ideal.

The photo and the description was of a beautiful lamp, what I received was quite different.

The Tiffany shade looked cheap and the description of the base was supposed to be a brass, it was not but an ugly

I bought this table light to place on a sideboard in my living area. Above the sideboard is a mixed media group of wall art. This small but very powerfull light washes the entire grouping. I have had numerous friends inquire and comment about it after seeing it work. It's a very modern design but, one that would fit well with any decor. The small wattage LED bulb is very powerfull and does a great job with the adjustable diffuser which helps direct the light exactly where you want it. You can't go wrong with this little gem!
