Review of Design House Stockholm Block Lamp, Black Cord

Customer Ratings:

I bought this for my spouse and wow is it fabulous.

It comes in three different boxes and it is easy to put together.

It literally looks like a light bulb in glass.

Highly recommend for the person who has everything or the person who just wants something very cool in their home or office.

I am very pleased with this lamp. I am using it as a night light and it comes with a 25 watt bulb, which I plan to replace with a 15 watt bulb whenever it burns out because I would like it to be a little bit dimmer. It appears to be very good quality. I would definitely buy from both the seller and Standard Specialty lighting again.

I have to say, that I'd set my cap for a POLISHED brass pharmacy lamp and NOBODY had one. It appears that POLISHED brass is out of style. Antiqued brass? Nickel? Chrome? No problem! But POLISHED brass? Forget it. Well, amazon.com had one. The price was right and I ordered it. It's OK. I'd wanted something nicer, but this one will be just fine. It's not as if it's going to The White House.

(To this day, I have no idea what a "parabolic tent" is.)

I have two of these lamps and they are well worth the money! Fantastic illumination from a 7 watt bulb. Mine are on each side of my desk and illuminate my desktop wher my keyboard and tacking pad sit. The goose neck feature allow for greater ability to adjust the light stream to precisely where it's needed. Thanks Philips and Amazon for two geat lamps!

This is the best reading light I have owned. It is quality all the way and is able to focus on the book for in bed reading. It was shipped promptly and very protectively. I can't say enough for the packaging. All in all, I would highly recommend this seller and certainly buy from this company again.

BEWARE OF RETURN FEES. The lamps in person have a matte finish that has weird paint spots on it, reminds me of cheap "stone look" spray paint and are a much lighter brown. I think they oiled them down for the photo shoot. They also charge a $99 return fee on freight orders, not sure how large an order is before they consider it freight. I know it would cost me more $$ FEDEX to send these back than I paid for one of the lamps.

They have a note in the box that says you can return to the store, but don't believe that lie.

I have opened an A TO Z with AMAZON and hope that they will see my side of things.

Otherwise look elsewhere for your lamps.

The lamp stands at about 10" high and the base is about 4x2.5 inches oval. It takes 3 AA batteries, and it's plenty bright. Were it just a little larger, and built slightly higher quality, it would be a 5 star item. Build quality is acceptable.

It is a cute little LED desk lamp that runs on three AA batteries. It is small and not very bright, but it is about what you would expect for the price. I actually ordered it as a light for a nightstand in our Chargers-themed guest room. It is a bit underpowered to be a night stand light because you couldn't really read by it, but it will suffice as a bedside lamp for getting in and out of bed in the dark.

The lamp was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it gives off plenty of light. Very cute and my son loves it!

These lamps are beautiful. The shade is a pale taupe, the lamps are matte black with a bit of silver on the edges. They're perfect for my Transitional bedroom. One arrived damaged so they're going back for replacement...hopefully the second set will arrive intact, as I like them. They seem to be a good value for the price paid.

Simple, yet elegant. The shades are outstanding. The base is gorgeous! At every edge of the base, the black is "kissed" with silver. Run, don't walk to buy these lamps!!!!

Buy GE 10042 100-Watt Edison Halogen BT14.5 1CD Light Bulb

Customer Ratings:

I'm replacing standard incandescent lights in my house with halogen bulbs. We have a lot of dimmers, and I don't really care how much I'm spending on electricity for lights. The additional lumens are just what we need.

I've used this style of halogen bulb in my outdoor lights, of which I have 5, for eight years now. I had 95W which is fine, but now I can't find them anywhere. This bulb lasts a long time, makes a great light and all of my outdoor lights have dimmer switches on them, so I leave them on all night a lot.

Nice white light.

Lasts longer than most bulbs.

Honest reviews on GE 10042 100-Watt Edison Halogen BT14.5 1CD Light Bulb

I had one of these previously in my hallway. The light is a bright wonderful pure white light.

The bulb lasted for well over 4 years with normal usage.

When it did burn out it was very difficult to find a replacement due to the government making changes to the bulbs that are allowed to be manufactured.

However I did find this one at a higher price then they used to sell for.

So you can imagine my great disappointment when this bulb burned out after only a month of usage!!

These bulbs give off great light for reading and give the room a clean white glow instead of a diluted yellow glow you get with the newer energy efficient bulbs. Appreciate the energy efficiency but I really need to be able to see what I'm reading and where I'm walking.

I bought a dozen of these for outdoor landscape lighting. They are on for about 4 hours a day. And it feels like they are burning out in 60 days. That is not very good. Except the cost is so low, that it probably makes a reasonable trade off.

I had a landscape light problem in my yard as in no light. Local home center wanted $5.00 for 1 bulb! No thanks big box store! I hit the Amazon trail and in a few short minutes had 12 of these babies heading to a mailbox near me (front yard near actually). Quality? Who knows, it's a light, I took the one that would not light out and put this one in. Viola! Let that light shine in or out I guess. Bottom line, buy 12 for same price and this will handle my lighting needs for quite awhile.

Honest reviews on 12 pcs Halogen JC Type Light Bulb G4 Base 12V 20W Watt

What a bargain!!!!! Rather than paying the local hardware store $10 for one of these bulbs for my microwave, I got 12 for $5 bucks. After reading the reviews I figured if I replaced it frequently I was still ahead. After 3 months the first one is still working fine and it gets a workout daily. The one thing I did before inserting the bulb was to wipe it clean using acetone to be sure to get all the oils off it.

Must have done something right.

My wife's favorite lamp used these G4-base halogen bulbs, but we've been hard-pressed to find them in our area. The few halogen bulbs we could find were too big, and we'd given up looking. However, these bulbs work a treat! We haven't been using them for long enough to know how well they last, but since you get 12 for just 5 bucks, even if they burn out every few months they'll keep your lamp going for years. Great bargain!

September 15th: after 9 months using one of these bulbs, it's still going strong with no sign of dying. The price has gone up a couple of bucks since I bought them, but they're still a great deal.

Best Lite Source CH5125-6 6-Inch Lamp Shade, Burgundy Deals

Customer Ratings:

I really loved the design and color of this shade. I thought it would be perfect for the living. What I didn't realize was that these shades were made for a doll house. So small! Ok, maybe they were built for a dollhouse but they were about 4 inches tall. I think the specs are a little misleading and it might be helpful if there was a picture of the item standing next to a ruler or a quarter even. At least the seller could give us buyers something to compare it to. If you are buying the shade for an extremely small decorative lamp, this may work for you. If you're looking for a full sized shade, you should look elsewhere. I gave the lamp shade 2 stars because it is very cute and seems to be well made but I took away 3 stars because of the incorrect specs. Needless to say, I sent the lamp back to Amazon.

I got this for my son who is decorating his office in a "Dallas" theme, since he grew up there. He really likes the lamp and thinks it has some nice qualities about it. The size is perfect for a desk and each side of the shade displays something different about the team. It doesn't look cheap either. It is a great idea for a Dallas Cowboy fan.

I bought this lamp for my husband and he put it on his nightstand. It looks fantastic! I'm not sure what it is about it, but the light coming through the glass looks really cool. It makes the lamp on my side look very plain and dull and I've asked for a matching lamp as a gift for my birthday or Christmas. While our bedroom isn't done in the Cowboys theme, we have some blue in our bedspread and it blends in nicely. This lamp does not look or feel cheaply made and it seems to be high quality. The on/off switch is on the cord which makes for easy access from the bed. This is a great gift for any Dallas Cowboys fan!

Lite Source C4176 Yale Table Lamp, Aged Gold with Silk Shade Reviews

Customer Ratings:

This lamp is...adequate. The finish is much darker than the photo, as is the shade. The shade is cheaply made, with badly sewn seams that wrinkle (these show up as irregular, bunchy lines when the lamp is lit. Also, the cord on the short side.

After Harry, my klutzy cat, knocked over my very old but serviceable gooseneck floor lamp and broke it,I searched quite awhile for a suitable replacement.

I needed a reliable, adjustable, relatively unobtrusive reading lamp that would take one of those twisty flourescent bulbs (because they produce much less heat).

So far, I like this lamp. It's well-constructed, attractive, and provides direct focused light for reading. The shade is kind of small (about 7 by 4 inches)but that's adequate for my needs.

The base is quite heavy enough to provide good stability. No assembly, other than screwing the base on, is required. It is well-packaged,to prevent damage in shipping.

Note that there are three different finishes available for this product,

although I believe Amazon does not specifically indicate this. I ordered the brass version, not the "bronze" finish Amazon's site pictured. Check "House of Troy" to see all finishes.

This lamp is well made with a good weight. Sometimes the less expensive ones can be tippy. The finish is nice and the multi positioning shade makes it great for reading...the purpose I bought it for.

I use this lamp in the morning above my makeup desk to apply makeup with decent light. Very attractive also

Update: Would not recommend---the knob to turn the light on and off doesn't work well at all so I had to buy a floor surge protector that I can turn on and off down there to operate the lamp----horrible quality

Honest reviews on House of Troy CH825-AS Coach Collection 52-1/2-Inch Adjustable

This House of Troy lamp arrived rapidly, and that is all the good I can say about it. The long upright lamp support wobbles in the base, and the adjustable-height bar that raises and lowers the reading lamp cannot be secured in one position. It slides down, under its own weight.

This isn't even worth the one star it gets, and I am returning it within the next two days. I wouldn't keep it if I'd paid only 40.00 for it.
