These lamps are beautiful. The shade is a pale taupe, the lamps are matte black with a bit of silver on the edges. They're perfect for my Transitional bedroom. One arrived damaged so they're going back for replacement...hopefully the second set will arrive intact, as I like them. They seem to be a good value for the price paid.Simple, yet elegant. The shades are outstanding. The base is gorgeous! At every edge of the base, the black is "kissed" with silver. Run, don't walk to buy these lamps!!!!
