I saw this lamp in a high-end catalog at a higher price. When I spotted in on Amazon at a lower price, I decided to give it a try. This little lamp gives off some decent light. It does take 4 "C" batteries, which are not included. Originally, I had planned to use it in my basement, but I have found it to be a great size for the shelves that are on either side of my kitchen sink. In fact, I like this little lamp so much that I just ordered a 2nd one so that I have a matching set. The lamp would also be very good in a power outage and you can actually hang it up from the top. Very pleased overall.

We got this to light my mom's windowless bathroom at night. There's no ideally located outlet for a plug-in motion-detecting nightlight, and we also wanted her to not be left in pitch-darkness in the event of a power-outage during a late-night bathroom break, so we needed something that runs on batteries. The light this puts out is very white maybe an estimated 5000K or so. The motion-detector has enough sensitivity and range to activate when anyone walks in or even near the bathroom door, which is about 10' from where the lamp is.

It's not really bright enough to read by unless you're right next to it, so it can't replace a standard table lamp, but it's brighter than any motion-detecting night light that I've seen except for maybe the Sentina Zen Light LED Motion Sensor Light, and that's exactly what we use it for -a very bright night light.

This little lamp does exactly what it's made to do. Very nice soft light. Lamp turns on only if it is dark which saves the batteries from being used in the daytime.

I keep this cute little lamp in my laundry room on the shelf above my washer/dryer. I go through my laundry room from the garage to get into the house. This little lamp is great for when I'm coming home with groceries through my pitch black laundry room. It comes on, lights the room nicely/softly and I don't have to worry about turning it off. The batteries just went out so I'd estimate with daily usage the batteries lasted about 6 months. I thought it was a bit pricey but I'm so happy with it totally worth it.

I purchased one of these for my parents three years and have to say that it is a very striking piece. The lamp is made well and the workmanship is excellent. It is still working well as you'd imagine a lamp should. Just based on the look and design and what I've seen other lamps go for I would expect this to sell for quite a bit more, it really is a bargain at the price.

I am so pleased with this product. It was imperative that I find one as the oldest son had one in his office, the younger son did not. So, for his birthday, I set out to find one just like his brother's. And VOILA!!!! Amazon had it for me. This lamp is simply beautiful! The fact that it is a three-way 50-100-150 is very helpful for reading. The picture indicates that the background is a little more cream colored than it really is. It definitely has more gold in it and is a bit on the iridescent side.

missing parts to attach lamp shade to lamp base...so basically useless as shipped

Amazon's only solution (since product was packaged by the lighting company, not them) is to package it all back up & send it back...or contact the manufacturer. There is absolutely no contact information for the company included in the packaging, not even a mailing address. So, I found the compnay's website via Google and submitted on online comment/request for parts...but of course received no response. I ended up going to Wal-Mart and buying a lamp kit which contained parts to construct an entire lamp yourself, way more parts than what I needed. However, it was less than $10, so I figured it was the easiest solution to just fix the lamp myself...basically just what I would've paid had I not gotten free shipping for my original order, I guess.

I had looked forward to receiving this lamp and paid extra for 2 day shipping as I had wanted it in time for a party I am hosting. The lamp is pretty, but is totally useless to me as 2 major parts are missing so it is impossible to put together. In addition, the finial for the top is missing. Given the elaborate packing, it will be extremely difficult to return. There is no address or website for the company included. I am extremely disappointed and appalled by the lack of quality control. I will not order from Amazon again.

The body color is a bit more yellow than tan, but these lamps are gorgeous and diffuse the light beautifully. Highly recommend.

This shade, while beautiful, has two deceptive photos from Serena d'Italia. The top photo shows a shade that has glass all the way up to the finial. The bottom photo shows a 12" circular open "grille" at the top, letting the light cast an upward shadow of the grillework on the walls.

Serena insists they only make and sell the "bottom" shade, which is the one I received, but I would have preferred the "top" shade, which they claim they have NEVER made! Then WHY show the photograph of the [non-existent] shade?

I bought two of these lamps and they are beautiful. The lamp shade is attractive and just right for the lamp. My surprise was the color of the base. The base is "very" green.....a surprise for me as my monitor showed it as being more of a taupe color with green tones. The green is a dark "Christmas" green. All turned out well as these were a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a "green freak" and loved the lamps.

I have a few different models form this company and they are all high quality with clever designs. Before I found these, I thought that solar lights were just for lighting. These products really take it to the next level allowing you to decorate your nighttime out door space.

These lights are great for your patio table as you turn them over during the day and then back again at night and they illuminate like a tea light. They are sturdy and can hold up to many drops (believe me I have dropped them a lot!) Great looking design too.

The one down side though is if you forget to turn them over for charging, you are out of luck the next night.

I was looking for an economical floor lamp with a small footprint for a small space. After much research, I decided to purchase this lamp and, overall, am pleased with the product.

It was easy to assemble with straightforward directions. It is lightweight and the design is minimalist so it can blend with many decors. It is comprised of plastic materials, painted to look like metal, and the paint on the lamp base was scratched in a few places which was a bit of a disappointment. For the price, however, it is a decent floor lamp.

It would be ideal for a dorm, utility or craft room or other small space where ample light is required but budget constraints preclude a Tiffany torchiere.

I have had this type of lamp before and it was ok.. This particular lamp exceeds my expectations. Even with just a 75 watt bulb it gives off a great deal of light in an area that is very dark in my dining area.. We can actually see what we are eating. lol

It had very heavy base so I don't have to worry about grandkids tipping it over..and it looks nice!!

I needed to replace a lamp in my living room but didn't want to spend a ton of money. This lamp was a perfect solution. Affordable, easy to assemble, and puts out nice light. The upright pole is a little thin, and I was afraid once it was together it would lean funny but everything screwed together nice and tight and I haven't had a single problem.

I like the price and quality enough that I plan on buying 1-2 more very soon.

I have had a pretty little candelabra sized lamp for some time, but have been unable to use it because the shade with which it came was simply too small to use anything other than a night light bulb. So I was delighted when I found this lampshade. The harp can be stretched out to fit over one of the new CF candelabra bulbs, which are much larger in diameter than the originals, and it's long enough to cover the entire bulb. At 7 watts, the CF candelabra bulbs are not hot enough to pose a fire risk with this shade, so I can leave it on in the hallway all the time. It's pretty, and good for safety no one's getting up in the dark any more!
