Great lamp! The build is very well done. The only thing I think could have a used a little more QC or craftsmanship is the shades themselves. They are not 100% flat/even. So you have to rotate them if you want all there to be level. Otherwise they will lean in slightly different angles and with 3 of them this can make it look pretty bad. You can also use a pair of pliers and gently try to bend the metal frames to straighten them out a bit. I found that rotating them until they were relatively level was a lot easier. The only down side is that the price was ridiculous. I was lucky to get it for less than $100 off amazon's warehouse as a like-new item.

Now the reason why it was not what I was expecting is the dimmer switch. I thought this meant all 3 lights would be continuously dimmable. What wasn't clear in the description is that when they mean dimmable they mean, one of the three lights turn on, two of the three lights turn on and all three lights turn on with rotation of the dial on top of the base plate with distinguishable clicks for each setting. This was a little annoying because it looks pretty bad in my opinion with one or two of the lights off (makes me think "oh, one of your light bulbs have burned out") Either way it was a great product and not worth taking away one star because the description was not clear enough. Over all I would not pay more than $100 for this. I found many others that looks "similar" for much better price. I just like this color and design well enough to splurge for it as a like-new item.

they're slightly shorter than what you'd expect from an endtable, but beside our bed they look gorgeous. They aren't a prime source of light, but will light up a room enough to give it an ambient effect.

If your expecting this product to look exactly like the picture then you will be greatly disappointed, it was delivered with a different base, the base looks like their other cheaper products that have a round base...the only difference is that the round base is bigger maybe, the wood was light colored wood with brown leg pegs, the pyramid was nice but not as orange or that looked anything like the picture (which I expected), also when I got it it had a crack in the switch and when I plugged it in it did not work, so I sent it back and the second one I got the turn style on the switch was popped off but I popped it back on...plugged it in and it worked just fine, I liked it so much that I was willing to keep it and put up with it, so far I have noticed that the air quality seems to be better and it helped get rid of the smell in the room after my husband smoked his cigar, it also sets a nice energy vibe in the room, I am now going to buy more salt lamps for the rest of my house.

My neighbor has horrible allergies which send her to the allergist for treatments twice a week. She was house sitting for me an entire week and she said her doctor wanted to know which HVAC filter I used because her congestion was great that whole week. When I received it, I noticed that it didn't have a dimmer switch. Checking back, it is advertised to come with dimmer. The lamp gives a really warm soothing light. A great feature is the dimmer switch so you can have a brighter mood light with a yellow glow or dim it all the way to give a glowing ember-like golden halo. It is a perfect night light, or the kind of pleasant background light while you're listening to music or meditating. It is surprisingly heavy so will need to be on a solid piece of furniture. The wooden base is good because it is very subtle and doesn't interfere with the visual presence of the light when it is on. I haven't had to change the bulb yet but saved the instructions since it doesn't look like changing the bulb will be simple, but we'll jump off that bridge when we get to it! Enjoy!

This is a wonderful lamp, but I was dismayed to find that the bulbs have been discontinued all over the Internet. They are available only at Holtkoetter.com. I am keeping the lamps only because tinted replacement windows, better for Arizona than leafy NC, have made my living room dreary and dark. These lamps on either side of the mantel are the perfect cure. I just have to hope that the bulbs will continue to be available. I feel a bit snookered and probably would not have placed the order had I known I would be dependent on one web site for speciality bayonet-based replacement bulbs. The bulbs are 2000 hours and cost $24 each. The lamp directions state that using a bulb other than the Osram bulb could cause a fire.

PLEASE NOTE that this is not a review of any experience I have had with Amazon. This is a review of my experince with this particular lamp.

After some husband wife negotiations on which lamp we would purchase we settled on this model. At home, when I took it out of the box and placed it on the table, it was immediately clear that the lamp was not plumb meaning that the top and bottom were not vertically inline with each other. I confirmed this with my framing square and discovered there was about a 1/4 inch difference basically the lamp leans to one side like that famous tower in Italy even though the base was firm and flat on the tabletop.

I took the lamp back for replacement and the staff at the store was very helpful but the new lamp was almost 1/2 an inch out of plumb even worse than the original.

I measured a total of 4 lamps before leaving the store and all of them leaned horribly.

Needless to say the lamp was returned.

This lamp has a fabulous arts & crafts design. However, the lampshade is NOT real or natural mica, it is some kind of plastic immitation. The resin base would be fine except the made-in-China (i'm guessing here) painted highlights in gold (yuck) on it was done by someone who had to be under 8 years old. No paint-between the lines experience to be had here. The paint is on the little round shape on the base. It could have been comletely omitted. I have not decided yet whether or not to keep it.

I received this lamp exactly one week ago as of today. After having owned the lamp for one week and putting it through vigorous tests I have to say that this is by far the best lamp that I have ever owned. I am currently a senior in college majoring in Business Administration Management (BA) which correlates to a huge workload requiring putting in long hours and extensive amounts of reading/studying. It is so easy to read with this lamp in comparison to that of other natural daylight fluorescent lamps because it has an integrated light filtering feature that causes less strain on your eyes. I have used this lamp non-stop for over 7 hours at a time as I crammed for multiple exams and worked on papers and it performed exceptionally well by not giving me a headache as other lamps tend to do. On the main setting that I use (Cool level three bright setting) which according to the lamp manual states that it produces (6500kKelvin) it is as bright as the sun itself. When using the lamp on this setting the light emitted from the lamp honestly feels like I am outside reading in direct natural daylight when in fact I am up at 4am studying. This lamp is absolutely amazing because it has so many features and its light scale is very dynamic ranging from 2500k-6500k on the Kelvin light scale. It has three light settings which include bright, cool, and warm. Each setting can be adjusted on a scale ranging from 1 -producing low light, 2 producing medium light, and 3 being the brightest possible light setting. The lamp itself is very lightweight and maneuverable and can articulate in seemingly any position that you need to which is a very important feature as some lamps are very heavy and cant be adjusted to needed positions. The only thing that I can say that concerned me about this lamp was the packaging. When the lamp arrived via (UPS) it was a bit damaged on the bottom of the box making me think that the product itself was damaged. After opening up the box and analyzing its contents under close inspection I concluded that the lamp was fine and no damage at all was apparent. Before I bought this lamp I did read from other various reviews posts whom had also purchased this lamp to not purchase this product because they thought/assumed that it was used and/or damaged. Please do not let those reviews discourage you from purchasing this lamp you will definitely regret it. As I sated, the outside of the lamp packaging was damaged a bit but the contents inside were perfectly fine. In fact, one reviewer even stated "Unfortunately, I never even plugged it in. I pulled it out of the box and was initially convinced it was used!" Like I said Give this lamp a chance, I promise you if you read and study as much as I do or just need a good natural light source you cant go wrong with this lamp. Also this lamp has a 3 year manufacturer warranty so no worries. It the perfect price for such a great product and besides if you do have an issue Amazon.com is amazing and they really care about their customers and I am sure that they will be happy to assist you if a problem should arise.

Great lamp, especially like the 3 separate settings for different lighting conditions. Works well over my monitor @ work and provides adequate light for a large area of my desk without adding glare. Great to read by and have used it as the only light source in a dark room with very good results. Well worth the money I paid for it.

I purchased this lamp after looking at the vendor's website and noting the higher customer ratings on Amazon. The box arrived heavily damaged by UPS even after I requested it to be sent as a gift and was *NOT* double boxed. The lamp itself is made of plastic (except for the base) and creaks every time you move it. The base does not swivel. The LED portion of the lamp sags down under its own weight. The joints are made of plastic, which look prone to breaking given time. On the other hand, the accuracy of the brightness and color temperatures are great. Unfortunately, I am returning this unit to Amazon for a full refund. There are some other LED lamps out there like the Koncept Z-Bar which cost much more but are built wonderfully. Prism has much redesign to do!

Lamp is very well made, color and lines in the agate stones are beautiful having a rose color when the light is on. Design on the frame of the lamp is a classic pedal pattern that adds to the classic Tiffany look with color pedals that match the shade. Bought to match the table lamp, note that the shade on the floor lamp is much smaller than the table lamp. With that, compare to the other floor lamp style to see which is best for your circumstance. The other style has the lamp shade pointing upward to the ceiling. This style is for a single reading lamp.

The dragon flies in the lamp are all one piece, molded plastic! They look like junk. They ruin the otherwise good looking slices of agate. Tiffany style lamp dragon flies should be composed of several pieces of GLASS, not plastic. It would be worth a little extra cost in the lamp to have the dragon flies done in glass, correctly. They ruin an otherwise attractive lamp!

The lamp is solidly built. The metal leaf accents and amber-colored crystals along with the agate and stained-glass shade make for a beautiful lamp. The lamp takes one standard-size incandescent (100 or 60 watt) or cf bulb. The only thing I would change is the floor switch. I prefer a chain under the shade and find the floor switch inconvenient and unnecessary floor clutter.

I came across Ott products a few years ago and was attracted by the claim by Ott that the light spectrum produced by the bulb is the closest to natural light and therefore more healthy (and producing less eye-strain) than more common incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.

I've since purchased Ott desk lamps and use them at my office and home, and I have Ott floor lamps in both places including by the bedside for reading at night. One of the floor lamps that I own is practically identical to this model except for color it has the same lamp style and flexible arm as this does.

In my experience over this period of several years I am convinced that the Ott bulbs do produce very natural lighting for comfortable reading and I am completely satisfied with them. I have also had no problems with any of my Ott products (2 desk lamps and 3 floor lamps), either with respect to the quality of the lamps or lifespan of the bulbs. (I therefore have no experience with Ott customer support because I have not had reason to make use of it).

(A comment regarding their customer support based upon my reading of other customer reviews here on Amazon. I have noticed that Ott customer support has individually responded via "comments" to many if not all of the negative customer reviews posted to their products here on Amazon, asking that the persons who have had a bad experience contact Ott so that their problems could be corrected. That is something that I have not noticed with other products and suggests to me that they are really paying attention to customer feedback and want to provide good customer support. Based on that I would expect problems to be handled by them in a very good way. It would be helpful if other Amazon customers who have initially had a bad experiences, but subsequently contacted Ott as the company has suggested, could provide an update to their reviews so that others can see how the issues were handled and hopefully resolved).

The only downside to these products as far as I am concerned is that the bulbs and lamps are made to fit each other and you therefore need to purchase replacement Ott bulbs, which of course are not cheap. I would not use them for every light in the house for that reason, but for those lamps that are primarily for reading, they are my preference.

I have found it difficult to quantitatively compare the Ott products to other lamps that make similar claims (Verilux being perhaps the main example). I have been unable to satisfy myself as to whether or not Ott is superior or even different from these others, and I do not have personal experience with any of the competitors to Ott. I do know that when I went to the Ott website to see what information was available on the light spectrum of the light produced by the bulbs, so that I could attempt to make a comparison of the light quality for the Ott bulbs vs their competitors, I could not find that information available from them (yes, I am an engineer). I also did not find such information on the Verilux website. If I am able to come across such a comparison, I will update this review to include it.

Very good lamps for reading use and I feel very comfortable in recommending them.

This lamp does not work well. It's very hard to turn on. Every time I try to turn on the light, the bulb flashes on and off. It always takes more than 10 tries to actually "light up" the bulb. We thought it was because it was a "new bulb" and it takes time to make it work, yet until today we still have problem turning the light on. The order is no longer returnable on Amazon, so I am complaining this problem here. Could you please help us with this issue? We can either ship this back in exchange of a new one or return this lamp and buy another brand. Thank you!
