Discount 14 Inch Kittens Touch Lamp_14 Inch Cat Touch Lamp
My Mom loves the lamp, but I almost had a heart attack when it arrived and the box it was packed in was crushed on one side and ripped.
If you are not handy or have problems handling small parts, you might want to get someone to help you put this together....I imagine anyone with arthritis or difficulty handling small parts *could* have a litle difficulty putting this together. Also keep in mind that the panels of the lamp are glass, so this lamp is breakable.

The measurements were accurate in the product description and the lamp works as expected. Discount Barefoot Power Firefly Lamp
These are good lights, when they work... I bought one first generation light and it lasted less than a year; didn't recharge well and didn't make more than about an hour of light.
Thinking it might be a lemon, I bought three more second generation lamps (my bad).
On the pro side they charge more readily on less light, but that's where the good news ends. My newbies didn't do much better than the oldie one 2nd gen light died a few weeks after I got it.
The other two work, but I'm leery, as in, how long will they last?
And when you consider they're made in Australia and you live, say, in America customer service is a long way off...
I live off grid in a northern climate lots of darkness from late fall till spring. I bought these to read by, to provide area lighting and to replace kerosene lanterns. To that extent, when I first received them they seemed like great, clean alternatives to the "old tech" stuff I'd been using (for years).
And maybe they will be, but for now...
The kerosene lanterns are still my mainstay for area lighting. And frankly, I can't wait till something better comes along!

Small Steps Solar's rep got in touch following my negative review above. They were concerned that I was having problems and wanted to fix things as soon as possible. After a brief exchange of emails in which I described the problems, they offered to exchange the faulty one and send me a new battery pack for the other.
I received both yesterday. The battery change out took a little work, but not many minutes to get done. The new lamp and the newly rebatteried old one are both charging happily in my window as I write.
We were impressed with the prompt service and response. If you're holding out because the lamps are made in Australia, don't. The folks at Small Steps stand behind their product.
Final comment I'm using mine (I have 4) daily one at a time and rotating them so they can recharge in the limited winter sunlight. So far so good!
I think these lamps are promising alternatives to the smokey lanterns off-griders like me are used to!
3/11/13 Update:
Unfortunately yet another one of the lights is malfunctioning runs for a little while (15-30 minutes) and then the center LED goes out (second light this has happened to). Thinking (hoping) at first it was because of low sun light (winter in the Northwest) I left it in the window for a couple of weeks to charge. First time I used it, out goes the LED :(
I'll contact customer service...

In March, I was pretty dependent on my Aladdin lamp and rotated the firefly lamps (2) every other day for about an hour a day. The rest of the day they were charging.
In June the 2 that were malfunctioning in March, began it again. I contacted Mark Newell at Small Steps Solar on June 6 and he said he would "remedy" it and asked a couple questions. Another email exchange on June 10 and I sent off the two bad lamps within a day or two.
I'll update this as soon as I hear from them. Meanwhile, I had to downgrade my rating, and, frankly, I think the lamps are best used a little and not depended on as a substitute lighting source, like Aladdin lamps or simple kerosene lamps.

I contacted Small Steps Solar (SSS)on June 6, '13, returned two lamps, answered several questions by SSS. So far, no lamps. I wrote and asked when I might see the lamps (they tell me that my lamps are fine and are going to return the units I sent them); and so far have heard nothing... I'll update when I do.
I use my Firefly Light for ambient light, a night light, a reading light, flashlight, camping & backpacking light. Around my house I find using my solar light instead of turning on a light switch every time I enter a room very satisfying. For the future I am doing my Christmas shopping by giving this wonderful solar light to my friends and family.

I just purchased the new model of the Solar Firefly Light. I have had the old model for 3 years and simply loved it. When the new model was available, without hesitation, I bought it. The new model has two settings instead of three, which I find an improvement. I never used the middle setting. Love my new little Firefly12! Worth the wait for the new model with the more powerful lithium ion battery to be manufactured and stocked. It worked right out of the box--no delayed gratification. Its light weight and small size belie its bright and flexible light (adjusts to different light levels). Besides the holier-than-thou green footprint we can brag about, it's great for places where you don't have a plug or don't want wires, but need light--kitchen, porch, bathtub--or want a low-level light (on the lower setting) so as not to bother anyone. Might even take it on trips as one of my pet peeves is not having a lamp on both sides of the bed. Got a second for my son to take camping, but not sure I want to part with it! This is going to be a go-to gift item. Can't imagine anyone who couldn't find a use for it. BTW, was going to get the unit with the phone charger until I realized it might not work on my (Android) smart phone. This is a very small, light-weight lamp. It did not work well as a table lamp. I then tried hanging it above my bed (it has a hook for hanging), but the light was just not bright enough for reading in a dark room. Also, it must be charged OUTSIDE for a good charge! I accomplish this by putting the lamp in the mailbox, attaching the charger, and then setting the solar panel on the sunny doorstep. Found this heater on , bought it with free 2-day Amazon Prime shipping, and put it together yesterday. Easy as pie! Another reviewer said that despite the sand in the base that his GardenSun blew over and dented the reflector, so I bought 4 long bolts to replace the ones that shipped with it, and put the bolts all the way through the wooden deck and secured it underneath. Now it's solid like a rock, who wants to move theirs around anyway? Starting the pilot light the first time can be a bit tricky, read the included instructions & you'll be fine.

Review of Tiffany Style Dragonfly Green Lava Lamp
I like this light very much. It has a great stained glass layout and the green lantern below has a nice glow. Together the light works well for lighting the surface of my desk. Great for reading. Nice ambiant light. The only issue was the visual picture that came as the instructions showed a "neck" for the stained glass shade but there wasn't one included. The 4 metal corners of the base are actually better support for the shade and more stable than other stained glass lights that I have.
It assembles in only a few minutes. It does have a little stem that goes from the top to the inside that holds the shade in place. Grab it while you can. I have not seen this lamp anywhere else but here at Amazon. The dragonflies look very cool when lit. There red eyes light up, very cool. The two lights at the top can be pull chained separately if you want a dimmer look. Shipping was fast and packaging was perfect, although the styro foam will make a mess so get your vacuum ready.

I bought this lamp from amazon. I received it within a weeks time frame, shipping was free. I have to say that the lamp is incredible, it is such a cool lamp that I have it on my desk. It is enjoyable to look at. I will say the quality isn't the best, but that is made up in the price. Had it been really high quality I would have been paying 4 times the amount paid maybe even more. the lamp shade does not sit on the base of the lamp properly, there are four arms the shade rest on but it only sits on three missing the forth one completely causing the shade to sit at an angle also one of the feet is shorter then the others so when you go to turn on the light it whobbles back and fourth,so sorry to say it has to go back. hopefully it's replacement won't have these problems.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tiffany Style Dragonfly Green Lava Lamp

These arrived packed very carefully and completely without damage. The base of the lamp has more of a brown tone, as does the glass portion of the stem, than the photo appears. For my purposes they are perfect and match the leather head/footboard nicely. They aren't very heavy but they are very stable.

What can I say about this lampshade that it doesn't say about itself? It is a lampshade. It's square and each side is 12 inches long. The faux silk material is pleated as shown in the picture, looks very classy.

This lamp is lovely and well-made, but between the dark brown shade and the 100w max bulb, it isn't suitable for reading. It is also smaller than I expected. The silvered mirror base is 8" wide by 3" deep at it's widest point. It would be most suitable for a contemporary room with modest sized furnishings. The shade is a dark copper brown inside and out. When the light is on, the shade is a rich burgundy color. Note that if you return the lamp, you will pay shipping to and from the seller (two lamps cost $30 total shipping).

This lava lamp works well for a while, but if you leave it on for a long time the wax just seems to glob in the middle and float there without flowing. If you shake it to get the wax to move, it breaks up into tiny bubbles and looks cloudy. My suggestion is to only leave it on for about two to three hours at most and then let it cool down before using it again.

Deco Breeze has such beautiful fans that I decided to get one for my living area. I decided on this fan because it is adjustable and can be used as a standing fan or a table fan. It does not arrive ready to use and was not easy to put together. It took me quite a while to do so. The Deco Breeze emblem was dented and I do not think the way the head attaches to the pole is well designed. A word to the wise, the set screw that holds the blades in place must really be torqued down to secure it well. It squeaks at one end of its oscillation and that is annoying, however, it creates a terrific breeze even on low and is capable of cooling a large area. This is a beautiful fan that seems sturdy and creates a lot of air movement. However, for use in our living room where we watch television, it was way too noisy, even at the lowest speed. I should have been forewarned by reviews that said it created good white noise. Be aware also that it is quite heavy and takes up a bit of room. My husband is a retired electronics engineer, and he says if it had five curved blades instead of four straight ones, it would have provided plenty of air at a lower speed. We regretfully returned it (Amazon makes it fairly easy). I subsequently happened across and purchased a lovely Hawaiian Breeze brand, 5-blade, quiet, 12" table fan in a beautiful pewter finish, at Wal-Mart for $32. After wading through gobs of ugly plastic fans at local stores I went online an found the Deco Breeze fans. And of course Amazon carries some. Assembly was easy and now I own a stylish and powerful fan. Those of you who find the sound of a fan to be important will like this one as well. A nice and even white noisy airy sound across all speeds.With plenty of power and a great look I am very satisfied with this product.

Clip-On LED Book Light Reviews
