Discount Lite Source CH5217-5 5-Inch Lamp Shade

Customer Ratings:

Probably would work fine for the type of bulb that fits it BUT they don't bother to tell you it does not fit a standard size bulb. The bulb fitting ring is much smaller than standard, so i don't know what bulb it was actually built to fit.

I purchased two of these lamps for my entertainment room and I adore them. The light they provide is warm and cozy and they work well in a modern setting (especially an Asian-inspired modern setting, which is how I've decorated my home). The price was quite reasonable for such good-quality lamps.

Love these incandescent bulbs I can see clearly with these for both reading and working around the house. I don't have to worry about any dangerous and hazardous chemicals in my home to clean up if one breaks, and to depose of I can just throw it in the trash (not driving 10 miles to a special disposal locations).

In my experience, if you turn one of these on in a dark room, you will then be able to see the things in the room. I couldn't be happier.

Well, I finally used up the last of the whale oil that I inherited from my great grandpappy, and I found that the only gadget giving off light in my house was this here computer monitor. But computer monitors are way too expensive to put in every room, so I went looking for another way to get light into my house at night.

For years I had marvelled at these strange looking socket type thingies with what look like screw threads, only bigger, sticking out of the ceiling of many of the rooms of my house. What were they for? I desperately started searching the Internet until I stumbled on these here "lamps". They look awful funny for lamps. My lamps are way bigger and have pedestals and openings for lighting the wicks, but not these. These are like bulbs, flower bulbs, but they supposedly give light. "Gee", I thought. Maybe they should be called "light bulbs". Just an idea.

So, I ordered a big box of these "lamps" and as soon as I got 'em I started screwing them into these funny socket things in my ceiling. Some of them went on as I got them screwed all the way in, and some only went on after I jiggled these little plastic things that stick out of many of the walls in my house. Guess I figured out what they're for too!

Anyhoo, now I've got light wherever I want it an whenever I want it. Some of my friends are into electrically generated light too, but they get their light from these piggy tail looking things. They're envious of the fact that my bulbs have much softer light and come on immediately and don't make strange buzzy noises. They're amazed to find out that when I accidentally break one of these new "lamps", I can just sweep it up and throw it away without worrying about the gas inside them. Maybe they should switch to these! Now that I have, I don't know what I'd do without them.

Honest reviews on GE Lighting 41028 60-Watt A19, Soft White, 4-Pack

I was looking for some inexpensive bulbs for bedside lamps, so I didn't want a harsh type of light. I found these and so far have been happy with them.

Brightness: Because they are a bit dim, I'd say they're great for bedside use but in general you might want the option of a brighter light elsewhere in the room. On the box GE lists the range of 600-1049 lumens as "comfortable, inviting light". These bulbs are 840 lumens. In my experience it's light enough for, say, reading a book before falling asleep, but for doing your homework late into the night you'll probably want a brighter bulb.

Packaging: The bulbs came with adequate packaging to ensure they aren't likely to be broken in transit. However, I found them a little it difficult to remove from the box, and sometimes had to actually tear the retaining piece of cardboard off to remove a bulb. It's not a big deal for me, but someone with arthritis (for example) might have some difficulty.

The box says these bulbs are made in China. The word "China" is also stamped directly onto each bulb along with the other general information on wattage and lumens.

All in all not much to say about these bulbs. They do what you expect them to do and at $5.99 are a pretty good deal. Let me know if you found this info helpful!

Despite the other reviews, these bulbs burn out almost as fast as they are put in. Get some Phillips 40W LEDS. I highly recommend picking some up, if you have the means.

Dale Tiffany 8655/551 Edmund Mission Style Table Lamp, Antique Reviews

Customer Ratings:

I bought a pair of these lamps for the bedroom tables and they are a good size for the bed tables. The stained glass shades have a nice design with colors that are not too bright and not too muted. I was especially impressed with the careful packaging; they arrived in perfect shape. (Several years ago I ordered stained glass lamps for the living room from a different company. The boxes were thin, the foam was insufficient and the lamps arrived damaged.)

I love this lamp. The colors are so peaceful. The design so comforting and symmetrical. I wish it were a little taller though as I use it on an end table with large furniture surrounding it....

This is our first Dale Tiffany purchase, so we really didn't know what to expect in terms of finish, and quality. While the lamp we received is okay, it's not nearly as nice as we were expecting for the money. In fact, we feel it is way more expensive than it should be for the way it is finished. My husband commented that it looks like stain glass beginners put the shade together. Now, if you stand back several feet, it looks great. We will not purchase another Dale Tiffany.

Simple Unique Good Gift Idea Her Him - 18" Japanese Double Cross Review

Customer Ratings:

This lamp is a bit expensive for the category that it is in. However, it is quite beautiful and much more elegant than the accompanying photo wood indicate. While I can't speak for the other finishes, the cherry rosewood choice is very striking. This is more mood lighting than practical lighting for a room, but if you are trying to create an elegant Asian feel, you can't go wrong here. For the quality level, it's a bit pricey, but aesthetically I am very satisfied.

Its a pretty enough piece at a distance, however soon as i took it out of the box it was obvious how poorly it was constructed and of what cheap materials. Its very cheap looking within 5ft or so. i got 2 of them as gifts if i cant return them then i will simply throw them away.

These were a gift to my mother for her birthday she had some older ones Shoji Japanese Latterns which were black, the kids polked wholes into the rice paper, which ruined them. Grandchildren for you... I bought 3 to replace for my mother, she loved them.

They were very easy to assemble, from the outside they are perfect, from the inside I noticed some flaws. But no one would know or see... Definite wonderful buy, very nice quality...

Discount Lite Source LS-113WHT Pin-Up Wall Lamp, White

Customer Ratings:

My computer keyboard sits in a corner, which is fine during daylight, but at night, none of the other lights and lamps reached well enough to allow me to see the keyboard clearly. It's also a fairly crowded corner, so the pinup is perfect, not taking up space on the horizontal surface of my desk. The price was right, and with Prime, it was delivered within 2 days. (I'm one of those 'can't wait' people!) I like it in white, but I think it comes in black, too. Anyway, I do recommend it, especially if you have a tiny apartment with dark corners!

Life savers.

I used them on the patio, indoor, as spots, as reading, as ad-hock on floor' mounted \ standing on anything. This thing goes 360 and made of VERY strong material that stays put. Simple mounting hole on the back that's adjustable as well.

The only con is that the switch on the wire on one of the lamps broke when caught between the door hinges, but I guess you cannot make a switch from metal due to safety reasons. a must have.

I needed a pin-up light for a dim area in my kitchen, between the fridge and the stove. Lights appropriate for that use are hard to find. This light is very attractive and mounted easily. It is a little larger than I expected, and also a little larger than I wanted, but it does the job well and was reasonably priced. I am very please with it, and would recommend it to friends without hesitation.

Found this heater on , bought it with free 2-day Amazon Prime shipping, and put it together yesterday. Easy as pie! Another reviewer said that despite the sand in the base that his GardenSun blew over and dented the reflector, so I bought 4 long bolts to replace the ones that shipped with it, and put the bolts all the way through the wooden deck and secured it underneath. Now it's solid like a rock, who wants to move theirs around anyway? Starting the pilot light the first time can be a bit tricky, read the included instructions & you'll be fine.

EDIT----

Who ever designed this should get an award. Not only is it a desk lamp and a rechargeable flashlight, the flashlight has a kick stand! All flashlights should have a kickstand!!! Comes in handy when I'm in the garage under my cars and the light lasts a while so I can work and not worry about eating batteries.

as it says in the title, it's very bright. It's a blue/white light so not a cozy lighting but great for my daughter who reads before bedtime. She loves the flashlight option and in the week that we've had it, it's been incredibly handy.

A great lamp and a very nice shade for the price. A little smaller than expected, but you can't beat the look of the lamp at this price. Instead of high tech lamps at your local commercial retail store, I bought 4 of these lamps for the office to give it more of a outdoorsy feel. You can't beat it. A great buy and the office looks great now.

Love the base of the lamp but I feel the lamp shade is quite cheap. I really enjoy the nautical look it provides to the room and it is a great piece. Just feel it is a bit overpriced overall.
