The lamps were delivered rather fast, there was some damage to the lamp shades but didn't bother to contact seller in regards to the damage. The way they packed the lamps was excellent. I am not sure if I would suggest these lamps. I rated them a 3 for it wasn't what I expected for the price in which I paid. They are still nice lamps don't get me wrong.

Nice set of lamps but the lamp shades were far darker than in the picture. Found minor damage on the Lamp shades but I intend to keep them anyway. I rated them a 3 for good reasons, but the were delivered to us rather fast. Over all I would still suggest these lamps to my friends. I wish that they would have had a more finished product, I wouldn't suggest buying this lamp if your looking for some thing different but vintage looking. They don't make things that good anymore it would seem.

I bought a pair of these lamps for the bedroom tables and they are a good size for the bed tables. The stained glass shades have a nice design with colors that are not too bright and not too muted. I was especially impressed with the careful packaging; they arrived in perfect shape. (Several years ago I ordered stained glass lamps for the living room from a different company. The boxes were thin, the foam was insufficient and the lamps arrived damaged.)

I purchased these lamps from visiondecor.com directly, but they do not allow anyone to review unreviewed items, even members (very curious indeed). After many lies, excuses, broken promises; I received my order after 38 days. The box packing (inside and out)was some of the best I have ever seen from anyone. Past that, the product was very poor. I really like the idea of the lamps, but the execution as a product is appalling. The paint on the product looks like it was done in a 5th grade art class, many unpainted spots, painted spots with the wrong color, scratches, paint drips (I'm not kidding, at the base there are dried drips). The shade is not a reddish color as the pictures indicate, it is a brown. It is a very thin cloth which upon examination shows that it will not last very long and will burn and rip (from bulb heat). The main lighting stem is crooked and cannot be bent straight, about a 10-15 degree deviation from vertical. The top screw down decorative piece for the shade is set crooked, about a 35 degree deviation from vertical and will not screw flat to secure the shade from movement. The shade supporting snap in bars are very VERY thin, they wobble, shake, and rattle around. If you blow hard at the shade itself, it will sway and shake because of this. Look somewhere else if you are looking for something decent, this is not even close. I was not expecting anything fantastic and perfect, but for the price, this product should be much better. I am in the process of sending these back. This is an unbiased review, I am not nit picking; just stating the facts. (:

I like these lamps and they were a very good price on sale. The shades come collapsed and that leaves wrinkles, but I thought I could iron them out (or steam). The beading around the bottom of the shade is a bit flimsy, but over all I think that I got a good deal and I like the way they look.

A great little accent lamp; seems to be well made. The shade on mine has a sort of pattern to it that makes it look a little like alabaster and not just like plain white glass. I think it looks more expensive than it was. One thing. The picture looks like the solid band on the base is dark navy blue, but it's black.

This is the second lamp of this type that I have purchased. I consider the purchase an excellent choice. The lamp is the right height and the adjustments are suitable for my needs. I use the magnification to work on watches and find it indispensable for my use. The brightness is just right for magnified viewing. The only drawback is that the light bulb is hard to find and requires perseverance in the search. For the price, it can not be beat.

My 85 year old Mother loves Touch Lamps (makes life a little easier for her). But when the one we had purchased 4 months ago from a large chain home improvement store (for the second time) burned out, I found it a challenge to find many stores that carry much of a selection of Touch Lamps. I searched on line through all of the large lamp stores and outlets, until I finally found this one on Amazon. It was a bit tricky getting together and we have only had it for a short time, but Mom loves it!! The lamp throws a very warm light. However, the shade is a bit underwhelming. It's a burlap material which kind of "junks it down". Immediately disappointed upon opening the package. This was purchased to replace an $18 lamp in which the table clamp had broke on it(the lamp is about a year old & still works great). The replacement clamp cost as much as a new lamp so we decided to try this $52.00 LEDU lamp. This was a mistake. All the joints, base, and the lamp itself are all plastic. The head for the light is very flimsy feeling. It's a lightweight plastic, and sags down putting strain on the plastic post that holds the whole thing up. I don't expect the post to hold the weight of the lamp for very long. The arms are the only metal pieces on the unit. The one positive is that the amount of light and quality of light it gives off is really nice.

The $18.00 lamp that this replaced was totally metal except for the clamp. Why do these companies make plastic clamps? This seems so silly since the clamps are the part that needs to be able to stand up to the weight of the lamp. Very frustrating.

So my advice is to buy the $18.00 Alvin G2540-B Swing Arm Lamp, Black, and also the metal $15.00 Adjustable Lamp Clamp Black .

UPDATE 1-2012 : The light part of the lamp will not stay up. It consistently falls down to within 8 inches of the desk with no way to make it stay up in the correct position. Very expensive garbage.

I ordered 2 of these beautiful lamps for my bedroom. There are two bulbs with a chain switch for each bulb. I use 2 small 40 watt clear bulbs. When both bulbs are on there is plenty of light. With one bulb on it gives a dimmer effect but still plenty of light. I was concerned when I received the shippment because both boxes were badly damaged and one was actually wet. It was so wet, the lamp was also damp. I thought about returning them on the spot. I'm glad I didn't. I washed the shades in warm soapy water, dried the base and made sure the sockets were completely dry. I love the lamps and they work just fine.

The lamp itself was mostly as described on the website, however when it arrived it had no protective outer box and was shipped in the flimsy cardboard box that it came in. When I opened it the bottom was broken in half. Also the lamp comes not assembled. The globe is somewhat yellow which I didn't expect. I returned it.

I'd been shopping for a pair of lamps for our Asian-styled bedroom when I came across the Kenroy Vail. I am a mid-range shopper and the cost was much less than I'd intended to spend, so I was concerned the quality & overall appearance wouldn't measure up. I was pleasantly surprised when I found them to be quite solidly built for the price. I thought the slate base may appear too 'tacky', but I do love natural stone and use it throughout my home. The slate and other materials used nicely complement our Asian theme. Although I'm not sure I would feel comfortable displaying them in the main living area of my home; on the bdrm nightstands, they are perfect! The linen shade casts a pleasant, cozy glow, but is also bright enough to read a favorite novel before dozing.

The items arrived sooner than anticipated and were packed very well, resulting in damage-free shipping. Thanks Kenroy Home, and thanks again Amazon, for a great product!
