I hesitated to pay such a high price for an outdoor fan, but after days of teetering back and forth, I decided to bite the bullet. I am so glad I did! Not only is it a gorgeous piece to add to an outdoor space, it is extremely powerful. You feel the effects of it at least 17 feet away and the oscillating head is thorough at covering large gathering areas. The mechanics of the fan are smooth and relatively quiet. The frame and hardware are sturdy and solid. I assembled this in 15 minutes with no problems. You definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend to those who appreciate and take advantage of outdoor living in the warmer months.

I bought this because I wanted to keep from being eaten alive by the gnats in my yard! Reviews looked good and the fan was very attractive looking to fit in with my yard furniture. I have owned it for a few weeks now and have found it to be fairly loud and not blowing too far, I guess I need 2 fans to put at both ends of the patio. The price is a bit high. They are not built as I thought it should be for $250.00. Not enough power, a bit loud and although fairly easy to put together the instructions are not great and some of the screws didnt match. So I will not buy another one.

We ordered this fan about a month ago, and so far so good. The fan was very easy to put together--it took about 5 minutes and we had no problems with the screws. The fan looks and feels sturdy, and it generates an impressive breeze for its size. It has gone a long way toward making our deck bearable in the Texas summer heat. It also helps with mosquito control, though it can't keep them away from your feet!

I am surprised by the other review posted here--I wonder if the reviewer just got a lemon. I'm also very curious that he says he got a similar Deco Breeze fan at Lowes for 1/2 the price. We comparison-shopped extensively before purchasing this fan, and we saw nothing that was a better value. Also, the Lowes web site does not carry any Deco Breeze products as far as I can tell.

That said, I did take one star off for value. It's a lot of money to spend on a fan, even a good fan.

I just extended my patio and wanted to spend more time outside. I live in GA so the heat and humidity can get pretty bad! I read several reviews on outdoor fans and this one seemed to have the consensus of being very powerful and quiet, and it is!! You can easily carry on a conversation while the fan is on high. My air conditioning unit is louder than the fan!!

My only laugh when reading the instruction booklet it says to keep out of extreme heat and humidity. Really? It's an outdoor fan!! What's the definition of extreme!?!

Oh, the cover that comes with it is useless for being outdoors. While it may work for an enclosed patio it won't last on an outdoor patio as there is no tie to close it and keep it from flying off. The cover just goes as far down as the fan and doesn't cover the stand. I couldn't find any covers online so I purchased a smoker cover for $9 at Home Depot and it fits perfectly over the fan and covers all the way down to the stand base.

I was really disappointed when I received the fan. Some of the screws were missing and some of the screws had stripped threads. Also, when the fan was running, it was very loud. I returned the fan and Amazon was wonderful, they refunded the cost of the fan plus shipping. I could not ask for anything nicer to happen after my dissappointment with the fan. I guess I was just the unlucky person that received a bad quailty piece of merchandize. I did purchase the Deco Breeze Fan at Lowes for half the cost of the one purchased from Amazon.com. The fan quality was very good, it looks good on my patio, and the sound is quiet. I am very pleased with the fan. "Please note: the good experience with Amazon will keep me going back to them for other purchases.

A few years before moving into my last home where I lived for 50 years,I was told that deer roamed freely.Then about 10 years before I left that home (due to overdevelopment of land) deer returned to that same area.You can't help but love the way they look and also how they interact as a family when they bring their young fawns into the world.Seeing this deer lamp with shade in the ad really is a different experience from seeing the deer lamp "face-to-face."The bark of the tree which is positioned behind the deer and anchors the shade is textured to look like a real weathered tree.The lamp and deer look as though it is hand painted.It is a limited edition of 5,000 pieces.The shading of the lamp base's coloring (especially when lit) makes everything stand out.The deer himself is in an "action" pose and you can even witness the expression in his face and even his rear hooves are resting on a piece of wood and he seems to be propelling himself forward off of it.The shade is medium tan/brown in color so that even when the lamp is not lit during the day,you can see the images of the deer in the lampshade.The seller goes out of his/her way to overpack this lamp to protect it and it arrived amazingly fast.The lamp has felt on the bottom to protect your furniture.I "will" tell you to exercise caution on one front;however => before discarding the lamp's box,please make the effort to locate the deer's antlers in the protective solid styrofoam.They must be attached to the deer.To properly position them (i.e. left vs. right placement), please refer to the deer's photo on the box.The antlers simply push in,but they do have a square base so they will stay put.Also,the lamp comes with its own bulb and it can accommodate up to 60 watts safely. The lamp shade was forced into a box that was too small for it. The result... the shade is crushed... I now have to send entire lamp back at my expense. Update: company sent me a new shade! It is in great condition.

On the other hand I am short and so I depend on him to replace bulbs. I generally find LED lights okay if they don't shine right in my face for some reason.

So I have a bathroom fixture over the mirror that has 3 glass shades with spots for 3 bulbs. I have insisted on having the old fashioned light bulbs in there because I really need to be able to see. So when I received this bulb we already had a space for it as the old one had burned out. We tried it right away and found it to give off a satisfactory amount of light without being too bright. Since it shouldn't have to be replaced for 20 years I will be too old to enjoy a new one.

So I am happy, it gives me plenty of light and the right color light. It works great.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program It's well established that LEDs use much less energy than incandescent lights, and even CFLs, and as a result, should save you money. It's a good thing this is well established, because you'd play heck trying to figure it out from the information provided for this bulb.

The box shows "life 25000 hours." The Viribright website says ">25,000 hours." Both also assert that it will last "more than 22.8 years...if used 3 hours per day for 7 days a week." Although math is not my strong suit, it's pretty clear to me that 25,000 hours does not equal 22.8 years.

The box also clarifies that "rated life expectancy is based on engineering testing and probability analysis and is not a guarantee...." If that's not cop-out language designed to avoid replacing bulbs for consumers who don't get 22 years out of their lamp, I don't know what is.

Nevertheless, for the sake of simplicity, let's say 60-watt incandescents are about $7 for a 4-pack (GE Lighting 48308 60-Watt 780-Lumen A19 Double Life Light Bulb, Soft White, 4-Pack), with a life expectancy of about a year apiece (according to the government's Energy Star website). That puts us in the neighborhood of $21 for three years of service. Now subtract your savings for 80% less energy being used, and whether it's 3 years or 22 years, you're going save some money. With the LEDs being mercury-free and recyclable, you gain some environmental credit, as well.

So far, I'm very happy with the performance of this bulb. I don't have it in a dimmable fixture, so I can't speak to that aspect, but it's nice to have it come on at full brightness, and the light is warm, comparable to a warm-light incandescent. It is significantly heavier than an incandescent or CFL, so I would avoid using it in a tippy fixture. It also emits too much heat to use in closed fixtures or ceiling cans.

Overall, I like the bulb enough that it's convinced me that LEDs will be the way I go for replacements as my other bulbs fail.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Brightness/color: Seems a little darker than a normal incandescent 60W bulb. It is a pure white light. A very noticeable (and positive) difference when seen next to a normal incandescent.

Time to get to full brightness: Instant. CFL bulbs can be frustrating as some of them take over a minute to fully warm up. LEDs don't have this problem, but one LED I have takes about a second. This bulb gets to full brightness immediately.

Size/shape: The size and shape is nearly the same as a normal incandescent. It's just a little bit wider in the middle, but that never seems to have an impact. Some LEDs have very different shapes, so they don't work with certain lamp shades.

Function: Like other LED bulbs, this one warns against using in an enclosure. That's too bad, because most of our needs are in enclosed light fixtures. I assume that they are worried about overheating, so I'm not willing to experiment.

Since LED bulbs are so expensive, they better last a long time. I've never had one fail, so only time will tell about that.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Despite being heavier than the regular incandescent bulb of similar wattage, this Benchmark bulb is an aesthetically pleasing LED choice. The "green" factor of LED is well established; though their cost have been trending down, the sticker shock of LED bulbs is still palpable. The main advantage of this model is that it is dimmable (transitions are not often as smooth as regular bulbs), needs no additional fixtures, and is essentially "instant" start the last attribute is an especially welcome improvement since this has been my biggest issue with LED bulbs previously. I have no intent to test the "shatter-proof" claim of the manufacturer... LED bulbs from this brand have gone on sale for much lower than the current price of around $26. A savvy shopper may want to track prices over a few months if there is no urgency and is planning more than a few replacements. A few weeks' experience with regular usage of this model, I decided to invest in Benchmark by Viribright LED T8, 4' (4-foot) Standard Brightness, Single End Powered (SEP) 20W 1500 Lumen 6000K Daylght (Replaces 36W Fluorescent T8) T12 Retrofit for a kitchen fixture that stays on the entire night. Overall, pleased with this brand and the design features. Cost is still a mental barrier...

This is similar to the other 2 Luxo lights that I have. Well made, solid, simple. I bought the first one 46 years ago and it's still my desk lamp and still going strong!

This new one is now, of all things, a workshop lamp. (Older, tired eyes need help in retirement with sharpening saws and other close work!) The lamps duel bulbs add to the intensity and temperature of the light.

The lamp comes with a Mickey-Mouse LED? bulb in the center. I replaced that with a 100w real-live light bulb works well. The LED gave off too little light. My only real gripe is the switch arrangement. The fluorescent ring has to be switched on separately on top of the lamp a minor inconvenience. All and all I'm quite happy with this lamp. Maybe you do sometimes get what you pay for.

I've been using these for 20 years--I have three, and I love them. Of course I have a mother lode of 100W, 1690-lumen incandescents, which you need for these--don't be fooled by the low-wattage one they include in the package. (Since the ban, you can't get normal 100W bulbs easily, but there are places where you can buy 100W halogens that fit normal medium base light sockets like this one. You really want >1500 lumens, trust me.)

The combination of a cool white fluorescent and a 100W incandescent gives a beautiful uniform low-contrast light that's first rate for close work.

Don't be fooled by the cheap 'n' nasty Ledu knockoffs!

It would be five stars, except that the last one of these I bought had springs too weak to hold it up--I had to put another spring in parallel with each one. (I had a big spring assortment from Harbor Freight in my workbench drawer, so this only took a few minutes.)

It is well-built as advertised -I should hope so for the pricebut the circular fluorescent light is very slow to come on and you have to hold down an awkward switch for several seconds until it does. I find it a little bothersome to have to operate two separate switches in separate locations to get full illumination.

Mine came with a self-ballasted 2700 K compact fluorescent for the center light instead of an incandescent.

As with all my past Luxo Lamps I am greatly pleased with just how substantial the lamp is. By comparison to other lamps for fastening to a table (for instance a drafting table)this one will last forever. (As my other ones have.)

But the only kvetch I have is that the silly fluorescent bulb that comes with the lamp is too puny. It adds no increase in the light level of brightness. Considering what an investment the thing is you should use a wonderful 70 watt (converted to) LED. It also adds a bit of warmth to the light that no matter how hard the florescent manufacturing companies try, can't match.

We got these to use as night lights in my son's room. I took a chance on these and I'm really glad I did. These little lights would be best used for ambient light or a night light/emergency light. They don't give off a lot of light, but I feel it's at least equivalent to a standard nightlight you'd plug into a wall socket. The instructions that come with it are rather poor, pictures with no words, so it took a little time to figure out what you do to turn it off (turn it sideways so it's just past parallel with the floor until it turns off, a few seconds, and then bring it upright) and what you do to change colors (turn it sideways and bring it back to upright). There's something in it that you can hear sliding when you do this. I've had absolutely no problems with these little guys holding a charge. They last at least 10 hours, getting dimmer only in the last few hours of battery life. According to the instructions, either the white light or colored light holds a charge longer, but I don't remember which as we use the green light at night while my son sleeps and the white light in the morning when we change his diaper before his morning feeding. To charge simply place them on the charging plate and push the little LED button. It will turn on while charing and off when charging is complete. I charge them during the day while we're at work since it takes hours to recharge. I alternate which one I use every night so they get used evenly. My favorite feature is that these are waterproof (the lanterns not the charging base), so they'll be good for little kids if they have to use the bathroom at night or if the power goes out just when you need to get a shower. I had the power go out on me just when I was finishing up getting ready for work, so I grabbed one of these. I accidentally knocked it into the sink while I was brushing my teeth. No harm done!

Love the lamp...but there is no grey to it. It is yellowish/cream in color. I wanted white but could have used the grey...so, I will have to figure out how to make it white. Maybe the truth about the color would be good...just call it yellowish/cream shutter resin accent lamp. That would be more accurate. Love the lamp, itself...just not the color.

I waited to write a review until it was quite apparent that the Cooper Lighting company had no intention of responding to my inquiries. After two e-mails and one telephone call, my questions are still unanswered.

I contacted the Cooper Lightning company first because, I thought, that a mistake had been made by whomever had assembled the floodlight at the factory, but if not, why is the wiring on this Cooper floodlight so sub standard?

Brand new, right out of the box, it was easy to see that the type of wiring that had been installed in this floodlight for connection to a power source was too small of a gauge and had the wrong type of wire covering. This Chinese manufactured "Industrial Grade" Halogen floodlight that I received is NOT "Industrial Grade." Actually, it is not even safe for consumer home use.

The copper wiring inside of the floodlight does not even compare in quality and gauge to the wiring inside of a standard children's 60 watt table lamp. This floodlight was assembled using 22 gauge copper wire for the neutral, power and ground wires with no heat shield, and is less than half as large as the wiring in a standard home table lamp. The copper wiring will melt when pushing 500 watts through a halogen bulb for any length of time, and the thin plastic outer cover on the wiring will melt before the copper does, creating a fire if against wood.

If the type of wiring and material used in construction of this floodlight was a conscious cost cutting corporate measure instead of a manufacturing error, then I warn all who are thinking of purchasing it to not do so, unless you will rewire it with the correct wiring.

This is the second one I have bought for our subdivison.The first one was used everyday for 3 years before it was vandalized.Other ones I bought before, the casing was to small & the bulbs would burn out often. This product the bulbs last 3 times longer,because the casing is larger & the heat doesn't build up so much.The bulb is easy to change with the one screw removed the door swings open.This is a great product.

This is the most precious lamp! I am an all time FLEETWOOD MAC fan (for close to 40 years) and that makes this lamp PERFECT for me because the penguin is their logo! And it sits next to me and my recliner! I have it on low all day and I can't wait for it to get dark so I can turn it up brighter! In the picture of this pendant lamp, the cord the lamp hangs from appears completely stiff and straight--which fits the angles of the glass. I assumed it was polished steel--it certainly looks like it. However, the cord is actually a black, kinked, plastic power line, much like one you might have on an appliance. It looks pretty ridiculous and sloppy. If the cord would straighten completely, it might work. However, the kinks and bends look too strong for that. A steel cover for the power line is needed. Until this change is made, don't bother with this lamp.

LOVE these lights.

This is a much cheaper copy of the Flos Fuchsia lights, that I used back in the days when I could do $70k remodels and not blink an eye. These give you all the style for much less money.

Yes the cord comes out bent, and even 2 years later the bending never really straightens out. Live with it or spend 10x as much for the Flos lights!

I loved the look of this lamp online. It has a beautiful shade with soft floral glass panels.

The product arrived in a timely manner. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find so many different pieces. The description said "simple assembly is required". Included in the box were the lamp base, metal shade with open panels, glass panels, nuts, bolts, and plastic rings, glass bulbs, and metal rods for attaching lamp shade to base.

To me, this was not simple assembly. I started following the instructions to begin attaching the glass panels to the openings in the lamp shade's metal framework. At the top of each panel is a hole that needs to fit into the hole at the top of the frame. The bottom of the glass panel fits inside a holder at the base that closes on either side with metal clips.

As I placed the first panel inside, I lined up the hole in the glass with the hole in the top of the frame. I attached the plastic rings inside the glass hole. Then I needed to line up the glass to the hole in the top of the framework while getting the bottom of the panel to slide into its holder. This was not easy. When everything was aligned, I put the bolt through the plastic ring working from the inside of the shade to the finished outside. I then attached the nut. Now I had one panel completed.

As I worked on the second panel, I had a harder time aligning top and bottom. As I was working on the fitting, a piece of the glass snapped off at the top. I was not pressing that hard. I think it was the distortion of the framework. My husband tried again using another panel, but the same thing happened.

I am very disappointed,not only in workmanship of the lamp,but also in the product's description of "simple assembly required". It's too bad because this was a pretty lamp.

I have had almost the exact same lamps for over 20 years and these were a great replacement. I remember assembling the first ones and these were really even easier. I hope that they last as long as the ones I had before. I love having the touch feature in my bedroom and the 3 different levels of lighting.

The lamps came in one box and I was charged two frieghts However they have corrected immediately the problems with broken glass and missing parts

Bought this as a Christmas present, assembled nicely, a little shorter than I expected, but it has a nice 3 way bulb, that lasted about 1 week. Put a different bulb in, but for it to work as a 3 way MUST HAVE a special 3 way bulb. So off to the store to replace it before my hubby gets home. But after 2 hrs of searching the only 3 way bulbs that can be found are too tall for this lamp. So we are having to cut the cord to put a switch on the lamp, so much for the 3 way feature. If you want this lamp for 3 way lighting I don't recommend, but if you just like eagles it is fine. Fast shipping.
