Bought these bulbs because I had used them in past years and had good service out of them. After receiving and visually comparing these bulbs against 2 other types of bulbs, the element has an extra support, helping the bulb to last longer(in theory)

Why can't I find these in store any more? Light bulbs were not designed to be expensive. CFL's produce horrible light, the LEDs still catch on fire too often; these Feit lights are perfect for normal use household applications and I hope they never go away.

I absolutely hate the new spiral bulbs. I have Tiffany lamps, and these bulbs light them beautifully. Long lasting is another plus.

Brilliant white light that allows me to use my Nikon stereo microscope at high magnifications at last!

In fact, it's so intense that you don't have to have the bulbs very close to the subject. Don't look into these beams! When directed at the ceiling, or at a wall, or even at a building across the way, you'll see clear discs of light; this thing is really powerful. In fact, I'm going to use it to throw some hot spots here and there to make my photography look more interesting too. For other tasks, such as eyeballing a bit or a tool tip, it's just too bright.

Build and feel are very good. The lights switch on and off by the lightest touch, and when turned off there are pretty red rings at the base. These not only direct your attention to the on/off switches, but look great too.

Buying items like these can be a crapshoot because there's just a photo to go on. This product here makes up for several really crap products that I was dumb enough to buy recently. Highly recommended.

I do a lot of micro electronics repair under microscope, and fine detail painting on miniature models. This light has helped quite a bit with both. The only thing holding this back from a perfect 5 is that there is no intesity adjust. Reflective objects can look TOO bright.

This lamp is a great addition to any room, but especially a mancave! I have two set up in there and they work great to set the mood just right. These will not be good to shed tons of light throughout the room normally, but tiffany lamps, in general, I think, are more for decorative purposes, and these look, and work great!

this lamp is the coolest purchase i've gotten lately. the lamp is so detailed, i feel like i could pick it up and battle with it. i don't have a blue bulb in it, but the regular light shines so beautiful against the wall. the design on the shade is perfect when lit up at night. i am going to buy the other lamp for the same room because it is such good quality.

Lamp looks great and is a must for any Star Wars fan. Overall the paint and chrome looks good and the laser cut shade really compliments the piece. It is a medium sized lamp, it lights up a decent sized bedroom or office.

I needed a new bedroom lamp and I have been collection STAR WARS since 1977 so I decided I may as well get a lamp that fits into my collection. The shade is well made and laser cut perfectly the SABER HILT is life size and beautifully manufactured the switch for the lamp is smooth working. Overall it's taller than I thought which is ok because it spreads more light... I am really glad I got this cool lamp !

Arrived in your typical china-made cheap box with styrofoam packing. All parts present, including a small wrench. Assembles easily. Was very much what I expected for the price and catalog picture. The metal construction is all one piece that attaches to the small metal base with built in bolts. I was hoping it was not two or three pieces like some lamps this tall. The finish is matte black and no scratches. The chain looks nice. It is heavy enough to not feel cheap.

The seam on the back of the lampshade shows more than I would like.

Overall, a welcome addition to my home.

Originally I had a traditional 40 watt bulb in the hanging light fixture over my kitchen table and felt it wasn't bright enough so I replaced it with a traditional 60 watt bulb. While that was bright enough, it also kind of blinded us as we eat dinner. Then I found these "sliver bowl" light bulbs thinking they would solve the problem of the light being too bright coming straight down. It did solve that problem, but the 60 watt silver bowl bulb was dimmer than the original 40 watt traditional bulb so I purchased a 100 watt version of the silver bowl bulb. The 100 watt bulb is maybe as bright as the 40 watt traditional bulb (i.e. still not bright enough).

So, bottom line, the silver bowl cuts out a LOT of the light.

Slide note: I purchased 4 of the 100 watt bulbs, the first one I installed burn out in 10 minutes!

The lampshade is disproportionately large for the base of the lamp. Luckily, we had a perfect shade to substitute. The painting of the lamp was poor. Had to repaint the base. Still in all, we are happy with purchase.

While the lamps in the picture appeared to be nice, I will never know how nice they might be. I placed my order on March 17 and received a response that I should have them between March 26th and 29th. I had guests coming around that time and I was redecorating my family room, so I thought they would be perfect. On March 28th, I received an email from Home and Living, telling me that the lamps were on back-order until MAY 31st!!! They offered a meager 10% discount for the inconvenience. Since my guests were arriving on the 30th, I did not have time to go shopping for lamps and had to "make do" with the lamps I already had. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and cancelled the order. If I had received a notification of the back order sooner, I would have had time to go out and find some lamps locally. I will never order from this company again and I would advise anyone else not to order unless you have two or three months to wait around for what you need. You might be better off buying from another seller, or finding what you need locally. I hope which ever way you go, you'll have better success than I did.

Lamps are very nice. The pictures don't tell the quality but it is very good. Packaging was done right and shipping was fast. All in all very satisfied wit the purchase. Just as a precaution, make sure to check the height. These lamps are tall which is not so evident by the pictures.

This company has been the best that I have ever ordered from. I had ordered these lamps and I unpacked them (they were packaged great) the first lamp I plugged in was fine I went to plug in the other one and sparks went flying I knew it was not my plug in because I had a lamp plugged in the socket before so I tried another socket same thing. The next day I called them and left a message about the lamp they tried calling back but I was at work and could not answer they sent me an email and wanted to know what was wrong I explained to them they emailed back and said no problem they would have get another set out by fedex the next day. I received my new lamps they both work great. I am so impressed with how this company responded rigth away and took care of me. The lamp is beautiful, however it was difficult to attach the socket. It arrived with about 6 inches of wiring needing to be fed into the lamp which was difficult to do considering the design of the lamp. I had to take it to a store to get it done. Also you only get one level of light with the 3-way bulb, instead of 3. But the lamp is really beautiful. I love it.

This item is horrible. It doesn't work. I thought maybe the light was not fully charged, so I left it in the sun for a week. Then I tried it thinking it would work, and it did, for less than 3 minutes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I actually turned it upside down and put a candle in it.

Bought this as a Christmas present, assembled nicely, a little shorter than I expected, but it has a nice 3 way bulb, that lasted about 1 week. Put a different bulb in, but for it to work as a 3 way MUST HAVE a special 3 way bulb. So off to the store to replace it before my hubby gets home. But after 2 hrs of searching the only 3 way bulbs that can be found are too tall for this lamp. So we are having to cut the cord to put a switch on the lamp, so much for the 3 way feature. If you want this lamp for 3 way lighting I don't recommend, but if you just like eagles it is fine. Fast shipping.
