Bought these bulbs because the description stated that they were dimmable, but once that they arrived, the box stated that they were not, and once I installed them, they were not.

I Bought these because they were dimmable. They are not. At first I thought there was a problem with my new switch, but no works with other bulbs. Then reading the box it states not intended to be used with dimmers in fine print.

It was the right bulb for me after all

Started off with 60 watt replacement with 900 lumi but was too dime, and then i found 5000k sunlight bulbs very exhausting at night somehow, hence i decided on these 4000k warm sunlight. It works great, with a tiny tint of yellow it is nowhere as exhausting as 5000k, and nonetheless being sunlight

We were very apprehensive of making such a purchase sight unseen, but in researching the Dale Tiffany line we were impressed and decided to give it a shot. Our fears were quickly alleviated when we saw the quality and the "heft" of the fixture.

Our home is "open concept" and the fixture is over our Breakfast Room table, but visible from both the Family Room and the Kitchen. We just completed a remodel on all three rooms and they all look great, but the first comment from all who see it for the first time is "My what a beautiful light fixture!"

We couldn't be more pleased!

Discount OttLite L18336 18W Crane/Clamp Desk Lamp

Customer Ratings:

This lamp was listed as a computer aid but I've seen it listed in all of the sewing magazines that I receive. It is worth every penny that I paid for it. It is large enough that I can rotate it between my craft table and my sewing machine. The light is bright and does not heat the room like some of the halogen lights that I've used. What's even better, it does not distort the fabric colors. I've even used it for matching accessory colors! The brightness and clarify makes tearing stitches out of dark colors a breeze. This lamp is definitely a necessity for anyone who sews or crafts.

I have had this lamp since 2004. In 2007, the wire in back snapped loose. This wire runs upward from the center piece between the bottom legs to the center piece between the lower and upper legs. It snapped because the wire is held in place by s small steel barrel, which fits inside a small receptacle incorporated in that lower center piece. Unfortunately this part is ill-designed because it lacks sufficient metal to counteract the force exerted by the wire. In 2007 Ott-Lite replaced the part and I successfully installed it. Now (January 2011) the metal of this new part gave way again and just like the first one, just broke off. You can see where the metal gave way. It is just poorly designed. I called Ott-Lite and they are not sure they have spare parts of which they could send me one. I am waiting!!!!! Very strange because they are still selling the lamps per their web-site. Unless I hear soon I am going to have to look for an alternative.

Excellent lamp, nice light output. Arm appears flimsy but actually supports lamp quite well. Ballast is in a separate "wall-wart" that does take up a lot of outlet bar space.

Pricey but you get what you pay for. I've been through 2 of the "cheap-os" before buying this one. I'd buy one again.

Honest reviews on OttLite L18336 18W Crane/Clamp Desk Lamp

My Ott-Lite crane lamp had an arm and fixture which sagged under its own weight (which is light) when extended. That problem was not fatal as it was possible, though not particularly easy, to adjust. However, the flourescent lamp would not work unless I held it up or pressed it inside the fixture. The fixture came with one page of instructions on how to install the flourescent lamp but nothing else. Simple on-off switch; no dimming.

Most of the fixture was manufactured in Taiwan with the Ott-Lite flourescent lamp itself made in Thailand. The appearance of the fixture is satisfactory, but quality control is obviously a problem. Very flashy box!

All in all, a disappointment. Better crane lamps can be had at less than half the price.

I should have read the review first, but as others have mentioned, the head of the lamp sags. This is because the screw is made of plastic and as time pass, the plastic wears out and it no longer do its work as a screw. I tried tightening it several times but even when it is at the tightest, it sags. Now, because I have tightened it several times, the screw head because it is such a poor quality soft plastic, the head is messed up from the screw driver. I spent $98.00 on it and very disappointed.

This is a great little desk/work lamp. The blue shade is very calming and cooling, and really protects my eyes (very sensitive to light) but lets me see what I'm doing. It's very sturdy and well-made. The brushed chrome stem has vertical ribbing like an architectural column, and the base has a decorative medallion design around the base of the stem. Also, the base is very weighty to offset the weight of the thick glass shade, so it doesn't budge when you pull the on/off chain. My office is decorated with silver and various shades of blue accents, so this little lamp is a perfect fit. It arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition (good packing), and is a very good value especially for the quality. Highly recommend this product and vendor.

The price was good and delivery was prompt. But: the green glass shade is hard to adjust it flops all the way down instead of staying where you put it. Tried wedging a piece of paper in the joint @ the side, but that doesn't work. Maybe a gob of tacky-stuff?

Honest reviews on Ledu Traditional Bankers Lamp

This came with a small compact fluorescent spiral bulb and therefore, one side has absolutely no light. If you want the kind of lamp that has the long tube that gives light all the way across, this isn't it. Otherwise, it's pretty and was easy to assemble.

The lamp comes exactly as advertised. It's pleasant enough to look at unlit, but truly shines in the evening when illuminated at any of the three lighting levels. It was easy to put together and the touch feature functions perfectly. The lamp was a gift for my mother and, when set to its dimmest level, she uses it as a nightlight. She loves it.

I bought this for my mom for Christmas. She wanted a touch lamp for her bedside, and she's a bird afficionado. Perfect, I thought. Really, it's too large for a night stand, but it's so pretty that she loved it anyway. It was especially well packaged, too.

Best Deals for ORE International K307 Glass Hummingbird Pastel Scene Touch Lamp

I cannot recommend these lamps. They are ADVERTISED as being 360 WATT BULBS. The sockets are clearly labeled 25 WATT BULBS ONLY. I ordered two sight unseen primarily because of the 3X60= 180 watt advertisement. Instead these are 3X25 = 75 watts maximum rating. If you put larger bulbs than they are rated for, then you WILL burn out the TRIAC in the capacitive touch module in the base of the lamp and end up with a lamp that stays on on full light setting all of the time. You can resolder a new triac into the unit to fix this.

The lamps look more like antique brass than they do brushed gold. The base is made from such light metal that the slightest bump will dent the metal material. The shade is made out of something resembling the old "non-rusting" coathanger wire you hang clothes on, and the little metal flowers on the frame arrived with their petal bent. The finger tabs that hold the bottom of the glass were super thin and many were bent double. Not good quality They are that flimsy and cheaply constructed. They come packed in plain brown boxes, instead of the normal retail type boxes. The shade is thrown in the box inside of a plastic bag, and the lamp stand is thrown inside fo the shade also in a plastic bag. The glass panels are curved at the bottom and are only wrapped in paper. The glass has the same scene on each of the six panels and the scene is painted on the inside of the glass, along with some sort of spotty granular coating around some of the white flowers to create a sort of shiny effect when the light shines through. Some of the nuts will not even thread onto the screws, because the threads are not correct, and there are vertical twisted wires between the glass panels, (which arrived bent and out of place), where the glare from the light bulbs shines through into your eyes. There is a warning with the lamp that if the spacing is not correct that there is a danger of starting a fire!!!

NOT RECOMMENDED. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET SOMETHING NICER. THE OLD STYLE LAMPS MADE BY TIMELESS ELEGANCE ARE SO MUCH NICER, and heavier in construction,. and they sold for less than half the price.... I COULD NOT FIND TIMELESS ELEGANCE ANYMORE TO ORDER FROM THEM. Timeless elegance made their touch lamps out of heavier brass, with EIGHT gray colored glass panels packed in styrofoam, with etched floral designs. If held side by side, there is no comparison in the quality of the two lamps.

This lamp is larger than I expected. Pictures on glass shade are beautiful, colors are perfect. Pleased with purchase....... Worth buying for sure..

The glass part of the lamp is pretty and the touch system works well; however, the 3 25watt bulbs aren't throwing enough light to read by. While it was packaged pretty well for shipping, the product is so cheaply and lightly made that it was quite bent up and I had to try and straighten it out as much as possible. The base is very light and has a cheap plastic bottom to it--the weight comes from the glass panels, making it top heavy. A light breeze moving through the front room was making it wobble. I will use for now to replace the broken lamp I had, but I will save my money for a sturdier lamp--I suggest others do likewise.

Review of i-Bar Mini High Power LED Desk Lamp with Warm Light in Metallic

Customer Ratings:

I now own two of these desk lamps. They were purchased to sit on bedside nightstands, to provide a good source of light and, at the same time not over crowd the space. Both of these needs were met. While not throwing as much light as it's big brother (the Z-Bar), it's way more than enough for nighttime reading. The lamp offers four brightness settings that should satisfy most users. The design allows for a wide range of adjustment so light can be focused easily without disturbing others. The matte black finish and sleek design fit well in a contemporary setting. After six months no quality issues have surfaced with my first lamp.

Very fast Shipping from Amazon!! I received the light fixture in 3 days!!! It was a rather large box, but the packaging protected the fixture perfectly. The two bulbs ARE installed in the fixture. The installation was simple and straightforward. "Leveling" the fixture was simple thanks to the one-way adjuster incorporated in the power side mounting cover. The lamp was installed over a workbench in the garage and provides excellent light for detail work. The `daylight' bulbs are bright and the color fits in with the show cars parked in the garage.

After much confusion over this order I must admit that Stack and Stack went up and beyond what you would normally expect to correct the shipping error. I am very impressed with their commitment to being an A+ Amazon provider.

This ceiling lamp is great for office settings. I only wish it was made in a shorter length.

Best Deals for Lite Source LS-19692SILV Bellini Ceiling Lamp, Silver

I purchased this hanging light because I wanted a stylish fluorescent light fixture to mount above our kitchen island. After reviewing several products from other manufacturers (American Fluorescent, Lithonia Lighting) I decided on this Lite Source "Bellini" hanging light.

PROS :

Stylish silver grey aluminum housing

Acceptable light output, even though it uses only two 28W T5/G5 fluorescent tubes

CONS :

Product description is incomplete and confusing :

. no mention that the attachment points for the two cables can be moved on the lamp to any position which is a very nice feature

. I think the "clear acrylic shade" is the mirror like reflector above the fluorescent tubes, the "diffusing grid" are the lamp covers with their ribs

Instruction sheet is incomplete and not very well written :

. no mention how to route and secure cable on the power side of the lamp

. no mention how to remove lamp covers without risking to damage them

. no mention that the blue cellophane foil covering the interior reflector needs to be removed with the plastic foam pieces that protect the fluorescent bulbs during shipping

Lamp covers are very difficult to remove because they fit very tightly; they have to be carefully pried out. These should have been designed with spring locks that can be squeezed for removal. As a result, it is very difficult to change fluorescent tubes when lamp is hung in place; this may require a second person to hold lamp and turn it sideways so one can remover the lamp covers.

Worst feature : attachment point for the cable on the power supply side cannot be moved close enough to the power wire coming out of the lamp (as shown on the illustration) because of two screw heads in the channel. I had to disassemble the lamp on that side to remove the two screws, slide the attachment point for the cable, and then carefully insert the two screws again

All in all : a stylish hanging lamp, although pricey, that is in need of some detailed improvements

One more thing : amazon.com description of this product states that the two fluorescent tubes are not included when in fact the lamp comes with them installed.

Great over the counter modern fixture. Not a lot of light but perfect for a table or work bench. Would like a little bit brighter bulb, I have to check into that and see if we can put in a stronger one.

Please be cautious when ordering this lightnowhere in the description does it state that the crystals are purple!!! I called the manufacturer hoping that we could switch out the crystals, but the gentlemen I spoke with was rude and no help whatsoever. All he could say was "return it". The enlarged picture clearly shows a crystal ball at the top of the crystals, but it was missing. Againcustomer service's "helpful?" response was "we don't ship those with it anymorereturn it if you don't like it".

I would have rated this item higher if the manufacturer had been more helpful and willing to assist this customer. The literature in the package said to call them if there was a problem, but obviously they don't mean it!

Buy Koyal 12-Inch Paper Lantern, Set of 6

Customer Ratings:

I bought these to hang at my Halloween party, they are the perfect pumpkin orange. The size is also exactly what I wanted. I will be paining jack o lantern faces with black acrylic paint on them and lighting them with little LED lights or orange glowsticks. They are a little tight to put together, I ended up ripping a little hole, but I am a first timer with paper lanterns so it was probably user error. Eager to get these up and curious to see how they weather the out side. They do not feel heavy enough to last for weeks, so I will probably just hang them up the day before the party.

Review of Grandrich ES-201 EZ Reader Table Lamp w/ 27w Fluorescent Bulb

Customer Ratings:

I bought a Verilux lamp last year for reading at home and I have this lamp at the salon over my nail table. This lamp is 99% the same as the brand that costs twice as much. It does not have the cheapy grid like reflector to cover the bulb, but I say why spend 35.00 more to get that crappy feature. I put them side by side and they are the same!!!!!

I have been very impressed so far with this lamp. Rock solid design. The goose neck is very flexible, and can be moved away to create more space when not in use. The lamp is VERY bright; I have had to move away from the lamp when reading in order to get to a comfortable reading distance. Overall, an excellent product. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Best Deals for Grandrich ES-201 EZ Reader Table Lamp w/ 27w Fluorescent Bulb

I first want to point out that the main product image does not match the lamp that I received. Check the submitted customer image to see how it really looks. As noted in the product description, the lamp has a computer gray or beige finish. The base and head are beige while the easily flexible neck is a darker shade of gray. The material for the head and the base looks alright, but the flexible neck is sort of ugly and cheap. This is not some stylish executive lamp. I was disappointed with the look of the lamp not matching my black computer system, but I kept it and I am glad that I did.

I have the lamp on top of a small speaker on my desk and next to an LCD monitor. The full spectrum lighting has made reading the screen, books and papers much easier in comparison to my old lamp. The lamp emits little heat and supposedly it is energy efficient. According to the manufacturer, the special bulbs last 5 times longer than normal ones I would take that claim with a grain of salt so you will want to purchase a few replacement bulbs along with the lamp.

Honest reviews on Grandrich ES-201 EZ Reader Table Lamp w/ 27w Fluorescent Bulb

I ll make it simple. The lamp is good. The light is nice white and clear. Much easier for eyes. I do have very sensitive eyes and after working 8 hours by the PC at my work I need real good light to read. This lamp provides me with that. If it lasts according to specs i would say its a very good buy. The price is right. The quality is good. I am a satisfied buyer. Yes, I do recommend this lamp, especially if you read or study a lot. Save your eyes and go with 27w natural spectrum products like this one. I am planning to substitute all my lamps with natural spectrum ones.
