This is the first summer in our new house and my husband and I were looking for some type of exterior lighting that keeps the bugs away while we enjoy an evening on our deck. These torches are perfect! We purchased 4, placed them on the railing of our deck and filled them with citronella oil. My favorite feature is that the oil cans can be removed. This feature makes it so easy to refill the torches and we store them in the garage if there is a chance for bad weather but leave the bases attached to the railing. And they look great! Love love love them!

I was looking for a way to get tiki torches on the deck and did not want to drill holes into the deck rails or use the long pole tiki torches that you see at the hardware store. I figured I would give these a go as they were relatively inexpensive and looked nice in the pictures online.

I received the tiki torches (4 of them) very quickly and set them up outside. Within a few minutes, I had all of them installed. I did have to use a little foam as the clamps were a little too loose when fully tightened. The foam did the trick and they have been standing upright since I installed them 6 months ago. I do like that the canisters are easily removable so that you can store them inside to keep them dry and in good shape. I can fill these up and get a full nights use out of one fill up. I do receive a lot of compliments on these torches and would recommend them to anyone that wants to easily add tiki torches to their deck.

I now own two of these desk lamps. They were purchased to sit on bedside nightstands, to provide a good source of light and, at the same time not over crowd the space. Both of these needs were met. While not throwing as much light as it's big brother (the Z-Bar), it's way more than enough for nighttime reading. The lamp offers four brightness settings that should satisfy most users. The design allows for a wide range of adjustment so light can be focused easily without disturbing others. The matte black finish and sleek design fit well in a contemporary setting. After six months no quality issues have surfaced with my first lamp.

Because of the lack of details in the description, we were quite apprehensive when we ordered it. We weren't sure if it would be a "swag" set up we'd need to plug into the wall or a true "ceiling" fixture. Contrary to appearance in the pix, it DOES attatch to the ceiling! YEAH! We also weren't sure if the colors would be as bright and distinct as in the pix. They ARE! Just an FYI: the stained "glass" is textured plastic, which works out great for us, and overall makes it lighter, easier and less worrisome to handle while putting it up! We would have appreciated more details in the description, but looks FABULOUS, gives great light and we're VERY happy with it.

I had read the comments of others and questioned what this was made of (plastic or glass). One person said it was plastic but others swore it was glass. Well the one I got is PLASTIC!!!!!!! It also did not match the picture online. A true stained glass light would have the pieces of glass soldered together the one I got has plastic parts glued in place. I am going to live with this light but I just want to warn others that you may get a plastic one. I had looked at others at various lighting studios and the true glass Tiffany are $400 to $500. So I got what I paid for!!!!

This lamp is a little smaller than I expected, but it is a beautiful lamp. I use it on my dresser and it just brightens up the room. Would love to have the table lamp, but everywhere I try, it is sold out.. I also have the same light fixture over my dining room table.

Very attractive lamp which looks slightly art deco to me. Excellent source of light takes 2 x 100 watt bulbs. Looks sophisticated. I've given 4 stars rather than 5 because the shade was dented in a few places due to insufficient packaging. This was also the case with the matching floor lamp I bought previously. Fortunately, in both cases, the dents were not too major and only on one side, so you can just turn the shade around, so they're not visible. I'd definitely recommend these lamps they're well packaged (apart from the shade) and arrived promptly too.

It is well made and pretty, but something is wrong with the steel stand, different from what is shown in the instruction. so the bulbs are not totally concealed by the shade when you are standing closer to the lamp. it is also a large lamp.

This is a great extra feature for my older model, one-speed scrollsaw. There is a sticker on the box that says "2-step on/off" ... and at first I thought I bought the wrong thing. I had wanted the kind that you press your foot on to operate, and then it automatically turns off when you release the foot pressure. THIS IS NOT THAT TYPE OF FOOTSWITCH. (I think that's called a deadman switch). But, lucky for me ... I like this one better. I prefer to work standing up and be able to move around a little for a better view or grip ... which means I can't always keep my foot on the pedal.

This is the switch where you step on it once to turn it on, and it stays on. You have to click it again, in order to turn the power off. As it turned out, this works better for me. Either way, you can turn it on or off and keep your hands on your woodwork.

It would be great if I could get a variable speed foot switch that would allow me to speed up or slow down the blade as I worked. My Scrollsaw is a Delta 40-530, which has only one speed, which is pretty dang fast. (The saw is over 10 years old. 1/10 HP, 120 volts, 1.8 Amps). If anyone knows if a variable switch would allow me to slow the speed down, the way a sewing machine pedal works, I would really appreciate your advice in the comments. Thanks!

I have just returned this product. The switch was working well until, after less than a month of use, it quit. I took the unit apart and found that a tiny REALLY TINY white piece of plastic was what connected the top of the foot switch to the electrical device. It was the trigger that make the switch go on and off. That pice of plastic had broke. IF they had made the switch with a metal piece instead of plastic the thing might have lasted a lifetime. This will forever be a mystery to me. Why would a designer make a critical part that will take stress both small and plastic? Why not increase the diameter of the part (in this case very easy to do) and make it out of something that will last? The plastic part was about 1/16 of an inch square, maybe less. Why? A 1/4 inch piece of good plastic would probably last 10 years. A 1/4 inch piece of quality metal would last forever. What would that cost? Maybe another dollar or two max? Incredible.

This is a simple review because it's a simple product. You plug any standard electrical plug (either grounded or not) into this pedal, and then plug the pedal's cord into the wall, and when you step on the pedal it turns your device on or off. It's perfect and I've used it for all sorts of projects. I think it was made for a Bridgeport machine or some other machine-shop device, but it works great for just about anything.

This reading light is very bright and works well. I really like that it can be opened up and the clip also functions as a mini stand. I actually never clip it to my book. Instead I just rest the light on my stomach/chest while reading in bed. Works so well my little girls always want to use it so I'm going to buy two more. Would have given it 5 stars but I've only had it for a month or so so I can't vouch for it's durability although it seems decent.

I ordered a set of these lamps for my bedroom. The lamps are obviously well made. They sit solidly on my night stands. The mica panels in the lamp shade seem durable for such a delicate material. The on and off function of the pull chains is very smooth and has a well built feel to it.

The lamps have two bulb sockets per lamp and a pull chain for each socket. I hadn't wanted two bulbs in each lamp, but then I realized it's perfect for my needs. I have a low wattage bulb in the socket closest to the bed for late night reading and a higher wattage bulb in the other socket for illuminating the bedroom.

The light shining through the mica gives the mica the appearance of illuminated papyrus. It's a very attractive effect.

I'm very pleased with the lamps.

Nice lamp. A little pricey, but it does dress up my room. I wish there were other items like it to make a matching set. It doesn't produce as much light as I would have hoped. Looks like it is well made though. I like how it adds a contemporary feel, but also has classic lines.

The description on this lamp reads "White Mica panels." When the lamp came, I was very disappointed to see that the panels were not white, but a dark tan color. I had ordered this lamp thinking it would give me bright lighting for the study, but that was not the case with tan panels! In addition, returning this lamp was a nightmare, with 7 emails to the seller before I could get a return label for the manufacturer, Cal Lighting. FedEx tracking showed that the lamp arrived over a week ago, but I haven't heard about crediting my account yet. I called Cal Lighting Customer Service and left my name and phone number, but no one has returned my call. Finally had to file an A-Z Guarantee Claim for reimbursement. A total disaster and much frustration!

This is, without question, the best lamp I have ever had for close up work, crafting and reading. I can adjust it to just about any height and angle. My only regret is that I didn't find this lamp sooner!

pros: really nice heavy base, sleek look

cons: the top joint loosens up very quickly from the wieght of the reflector and you cannot tighten it by hand. You have to use a flat head screwdriver and you have to be careful not to strip the plastic bolt. The quality of the light is overrated! This bulb flickers more than I've ever seen.

For this price, I would certainly not recommend this product to anyone. You can find many similar work lamps with nice heavy bases and the much more versatile type a bulb socket. You can get just as good or even better quality light from a daylight spectrum cfl or led bulb. Ottlite also offers their own brand of cfl bulbs which I currently use in my tattoo studio. I recommend those.

this is another poorly made lamp with critical flaws. The big flaw with this lamp is the crane arm. The arm itself is solid but the joints where the lamp bends are seriously weak and no matter how much you tighten the elbow knobs the crane arms fold with just a mild touch...

I would not recommend this lamp or the Koncepts Z lamp...Both of this lamps are very poorly designed

We were looking for an outdoor rated floor lamp to go on a screend porch and this one fits the bill. It is heavy so it won't blow over in a breeze and it appears to be weather resistant as well. The box came with a package slip from Hunter which said that one large washer was supposed to be included although the instructions said nothing about where it was to go. Hunter does not stock these as replacement parts but it does not appear we need one. If we do, we will get it from a hardware store.

This lamp is attractive and well made. It's a keeper.

I love the look and quality of this lamp and the two shades, glass etc. but it has never worked properly. I'd have to describe it as "intermittent" == works sometimes, sometimes not. I thought it might be the GFC -detecting moisture causing the problem but I've tried it in and out and various outlets and it has the same problem. I'll try rewiring, but that's a lot of work for this lamp.

So after two years, I'm throwing mine away.

Very attractive lamp, with two light levels. The glass case for the bulb and on/off switch work well. I had it located on the bottom of a double-decker porch.

Unfortunately the base is not heavy enough -blew over in a strong wind. The connections between the segments are weak and it quickly developed a noticeable wobble and flimsiness. The frame of the shade rusted through after eighteen months and thus the shade can no longer be hung on the bulb.

And they've raised the price by 50% since my purchase. Off to find another vendor.

I really like this lamp, but like the other outdoor Hunter lamp I ordered at the same time, the glass globe was broken in both. There was no information included to advise as to where I can get replacement items. I really would like to replace the glass globes on both lamps, and do not want to go through the hassle of packaging them up for a return. I need someone to advise me on this, and can't find an appropriate place to get the info I need. I am even willing to pay for the globes, but hope I don't have to.

A pain in the neck to assemble -and some pieces not cut perfectly, so my lamp bends a bit in the middle. But it is solid, attractive and withstood strong winds on my screened porch. It's attractive enough that I have brought it inside for the winter. Getting two shades is a nice bonus.
