My husband and I bought 2 of these lamps for a bedroom. One came damaged...part of one of the scrolls had not been painted and was raw metal. We sent one back and got another; the replacement one had a chunk of brown paint fall off of a bottom scroll. The lamps also had to be put together; the holes don't line up so the base is not quite symmetrical. Will never buy a Fangio light again.

The lamp is indeed beautiful, very heavy, and just what I'd hope it would be except that the compact flourescent light bulb that came with it is too big for the harp. One of the reasons I bought this lamp is that it has a 3-way switch. I have a 13W CFL in the lamp now, and there's no room for a larger watt bulb that has a bigger base. So this is disappointing, but I'll probably keep the lamp. It's certainly better than what I had!!

I love this lamp and, of course, the shade makes the lamp. It is elegant, beautiful, and provides an extra warmth of gold and subdued green. Don't judge the lamp by the daylight it may give the appearance of being dark and heavy. You really have to wait until dusk, turn it on, and say ahhhhhhhh...now that's the lamp I wanted.

This is the first summer in our new house and my husband and I were looking for some type of exterior lighting that keeps the bugs away while we enjoy an evening on our deck. These torches are perfect! We purchased 4, placed them on the railing of our deck and filled them with citronella oil. My favorite feature is that the oil cans can be removed. This feature makes it so easy to refill the torches and we store them in the garage if there is a chance for bad weather but leave the bases attached to the railing. And they look great! I was looking for a way to get tiki torches on the deck and did not want to drill holes into the deck rails or use the long pole tiki torches that you see at the hardware store. I figured I would give these a go as they were relatively inexpensive and looked nice in the pictures online.

I received the tiki torches (4 of them) very quickly and set them up outside. Within a few minutes, I had all of them installed. I did have to use a little foam as the clamps were a little too loose when fully tightened. The foam did the trick and they have been standing upright since I installed them 6 months ago. I do like that the canisters are easily removable so that you can store them inside to keep them dry and in good shape. I can fill these up and get a full nights use out of one fill up. I do receive a lot of compliments on these torches and would recommend them to anyone that wants to easily add tiki torches to their deck.

After getting a washer or two...I attemepted to assemble the lampshade and lo and behold....there is a knurled knob at the finial screw post on the harp. A few turns of the knob and I was able to line up the shade and tighhten the finial down. I will bump up the stars to three...it would be higher if the craftsmanship was better. I might buy a few more.

I guess I should have clued into the quality by the price. Of course, it's made in China, so that should have been my tip off. The packing, which is styrofoam, stuck to the electrical cord...and I have to now scrape it off. As I assembled it...I discovered that the finial....the top pice that keeps the lampshade attached to the lamp, will not screw down all the way. That means the lampshade flops around. I will have to go to the hardware store and get myself a washer to make the fit tighter. I shouldn't have to do that for what the lamp cost!!

The copperfoil work or what attempts to look like copperfoil is primitve and the hardware that joins the side pieces together is rather crass.

I hope with dim lighting...no one will notice how rough this lamp is. Previously, I had ordered another lamp...a desk lamp and was happy with it. But after this purchase, I don't think I will order these lamps anymore.

There seems to be a raging debate about whether a Proposition 65 Warning is warranted for Dale Tiffany lamps. More on this after I receive feedback from the Company but it seems to be related to the use of lead solder in joining the shade components. It is not clear to me yet whether lead paint is used as well, in which case I would not use this lamp in a child's room and take care to wash my hands or wear gloves if moving the base.

The lamp shade itself is beautiful and majestically towers in height by appearance albeit a desk lamp. Although some have expressed dissatisfaction with the restriction to 15W, the trick is to use a 3W LED 16.5G bulb from say FEIT that gives off in lumens nearly 25W in equivalence, and has plenty of light for any application without overpowering the look of the lamp nor the electronics. I am no longer a fan of CFL bulbs with the high failure rate with frequent use, and would recommend the LED for a long-term investment and for the unmatched beauty of the light color compared with the CFL, which would only degrade the overall appearance and experience in viewing. Yes, pay another 15 for a LED light bulb if you want more than 15W in equivalance. It is worth it.

When I purchased this lamp it was on sale for 54.00 dollars an free shipping. Well what a surprise I got when opening the box. The lamp was big and heavy, not going to tip over, ha. It has a night lite in the bottom which shows the detailing and beauty of lamp.

I have never purchased a lamp with extravagent quality for so small of amount. An the appearance on the table was perfect. Not for a small table either. The price right now is a low price on this lamp. Should be over 100.00 dollar. Goes with about all decor. The base is more of a bronze than black. Very happy!!!!

I bought this for my Mother for Mother's Day and the day it came in she happened to be with me. So instead of waiting a couple weeks to give it to her, she got it early. We unwrapped it together. After putting on the harp, grabbing a bulb, (the nightlight bulb was included) and putting on the shade, we turned it on with delight. The base is a nice warm honey color lit, white with streaks of amber and peach when it's not. The Shade is a satin beige/tan color with a slight hint of a gold sheen to it. It throws plenty of light when it's lit. It's nice and tall and heavy. Not overly heavy that you will have a problem moving it to dust, but heavy enough it shouldn't fall if someone tries to turn it on. Some lamps today are so cheaply made I have found this to be the case. But not with this lamp, high quality all the way. Since my mom loves bead fringe I will probably be taking a trip to the fabric store to add a touch of crystal to it, but with or without it's lovely.

We're always running about of 3-ways, so I bought a big box. First bulb out of the box didn't work, so now I'm worried that I have more duds in the box. I will update if there is. I do like the color of these bulbs for home use (we prefer the golden glow, not that blueish, industrial color in some newer bulbs).

I have replaced ALL my CFL three way bulbs and went back to incedesant, while you can still get them. The three way CFL,s were too expensice and did not last six months. Plus the glass cracked in two. Mercury poisoning risk? It is criminal that government is FORCING the use of these CFL's, the inherant dangers, and the majority of the CFL's are made in China. These incadesant bulbs were made in South America, it is ashamed the GE closed the last incadesant bulb factory in the USA a while ago, to make more profit importing CHEAP CLF's. LED's are too expensive and a awfull light sorce.

The first one I took out was broken. I was able to use the next one. I don't know if there are any more broken ones because I don't want to take them all out of box. I would not ship them back even if there is any more broken just for the bother. The one I am using is working so guess I am okay.

The dimensions on this lamp are correct and for the most part the materials are of good quality. However, the binding on the top of the shade is poorly finished and I contacted the company and got no response. I feel that the workmanship was poor enough to have the shade replaced.

I purchased this desk lamp a little over a year ago. Within six months the plastic knob for the switch broke. This lamp was not treated roughly, just daily use caused the plastic part of the switch to break. The shade part does not stay put. With any type of movement, the shade part constantly falls off. This lamp is certainly the worst product I've ever bought off Amazon. Enough to make me write my first review.

The black plastic ring between the back and the shade doesn't attach properly. I took it off. The black plastic on the arm of the lamp is conduit, and it's not attached at either the top or the bottom, so it looks hideous. So I cut it off.

The switch is a hemisphere on the back of the lamp. It feels very flimsy. This switch can only be turned clockwise to switch the lamp on / off. On the second day of having this, I reached up from my bed and turned it counter-clockwise by mistake. It completely broke the lamp. I figured it couldn't be that hard to fix, so I opened it up and the rotary switch had two tiny plastic tabs which had snapped off. Because I'm an idiot, I'd already thrown out the box, so I couldn't return it. I soldered the connectors together so that the lamp would at least work, but now it's always on. To solve that I just bought a outlet switch to turn it on and off.

The one plus side is that a bulb is actually included, which saves you a couple dollars. Except when I went to the hardware store today to buy the outlet switch, I found this exact lamp for $12.

The lamp itself is as advertised. I do have a design gripe with the lamp. The lamp shade is basically a metal skeleton on to which you have to mount the glass panels. I did not feel comfortable that the glass panels aligned correctly. There is basically a fair amount of wiggle room. It ends up being up to your judgement to determine that you have it right enough. I find it particularly annoying. I'd much rather it fit flush with no wiggle. Yet this is not a big issue I'm sure many people might not mind it at all.

My second and bigger gripe is the packaging. It came in a box which did not have much (if any) protection on the inside. The box was largely empty due to the shape of the product and that empty space was not filled with packaging material (Thermocole or something similar). It was completely smashed out of shape when I received it. When I saw the box I was almost sure that the product would be damaged. It's a miracle that it was usable. I say usable because the metal skeleton was deformed but wasn't bad enough for it not to work or assemble well enough. I guess I'm too lazy to go through the hassle of return / exchange, so I'm keeping it.

Overall aside from the packaging it's mostly fine.
