This lamp works just like I wanted it to. Wanted something for the head of the bed so we didn't have to search for a switch to turn it on or off. Bonus was that it has several brightness settings. Love it!

The lamp itself is as advertised. I do have a design gripe with the lamp. The lamp shade is basically a metal skeleton on to which you have to mount the glass panels. I did not feel comfortable that the glass panels aligned correctly. There is basically a fair amount of wiggle room. It ends up being up to your judgement to determine that you have it right enough. I find it particularly annoying. I'd much rather it fit flush with no wiggle. Yet this is not a big issue I'm sure many people might not mind it at all.

My second and bigger gripe is the packaging. It came in a box which did not have much (if any) protection on the inside. The box was largely empty due to the shape of the product and that empty space was not filled with packaging material (Thermocole or something similar). It was completely smashed out of shape when I received it. When I saw the box I was almost sure that the product would be damaged. It's a miracle that it was usable. I say usable because the metal skeleton was deformed but wasn't bad enough for it not to work or assemble well enough. I guess I'm too lazy to go through the hassle of return / exchange, so I'm keeping it.

Overall aside from the packaging it's mostly fine.
