I bought the E-Wall Wash in hopes that I could use as an up-lighting fixture for my DJ business and found out quickly that this light is more for use in smaller areas. The ad I had found online for the E-Wall wash was misleading, showing a set of lights (in pink) to up-light a kids party. Although my initial thought was to return the E-Wall Wash, I ended up keeping it and used it to highlight cakes and smaller walls. Not bad if you need a bright light for a 4ft shot, more than that, you will probably be disappointed.

I had some concerns about a few things, just based on other LED products I've got. But this one has no LED issues and we're getting a few more for the office.

1: On max brightness this will light up an entire work surface. This new unit, with only 6 LEDs, is bright on max level. I'd say it's brighter a standard fluorescent desk light, and covers a larger area.

2: The Daylight White still looks like a high quality high Kelvin light source it is not too "blue-ish" I had been concerned about that based on cheaper led products.

3: On low brightness it does not have any flicker. As you may know, LEDs are usually dimmed by cycling them on and off, and as a result, many LED products have a high frequency flicker that I can usually see. I'm pretty sensitive to flicker, maybe due to my eye condition (albinism), and I can usually see the flicker in indirect tube TV light and cheap LED Christmas lights, but I cannot see it here at all on any brightness level.

Low brightness is also nice for generic background lighting. I tend to use just off, low and high, and ignore brightness levels 2 and 3.

4: The AC adapter is pleasantly tiny you could mistake it for a cell phone charger very efficient light source I guess. The light also returns to the same brightness level if you disconnect it from AC (at least for short periods, did not test overnight) This one thin wire is the only wire you'll see all other electricity travels through the secure mechanical connections.

5: If you have a smaller workspace, like just a phone and notepad, you might want to check out the mini 4 LED version. This full sized one is for a larger work surface.

Very impressed.

My only suggestion, and this is tiny, is that the on and off press buttons could be a bit lower down on the neck. There's a slight wobble when you press the on button any similar design would have that and it would be minimized if they moved the buttons down an inch.

And I guess it could have buttons for each power level, but then that would be 5 buttons instead of 2, and that makes it more complicated, so never mind. Or just have 2 brightness levels, low and high, and off, requiring only 3 buttons. When you turn it on, you do need to cycle through the 3 lower brightness levels to get to max. And then to turn it off, you go back down through those 3 other levels. Not a big deal, this is a TINY and possibly bad suggestion.

While it may seem expensive, you are paying for the technology, design and quality of this fixture. It uses new generation high power white l.e.d. bulbs as opposed to older l.e.d.'s which put out fewer lumens. I also recommend you go with the bright white as opposed to the warm white bulbs which produce a less intense yellow light. This lamp goes together in minutes, is infinately adjustable and comes with a solid as well as bracket base. You have 4 levels of brightness as opposed to an on/off switch. It produces very little heat as compared to halogen or incandescent bulbs. If Porsche made a desk lamp, this would be it.

I did a whole lot of research on nice desk lamps before I ended up buying this one. What I found was that the desk lamps that you can find in Staples and Office Depot stores (at least around here) are sorely lacking in configurability, style, power consumption, and appeal. There is a large gap in price between the desk lamps I found at Staples/Office Depot/Target/etc. and the nice ones I found online. This Z-Bar LED light, was at the lower end of that price gap and I was happy about that.

In addition, I knew that I didn't want another halogen desk light, having had previous really bad experiences with energy usage, cost, and burns from the high heat. I wanted something stylish and classy-looking, so from what I saw, that meant that the old CFL/Incandescent lamps were out too.

I found some good online desk lamp reviews and it looked like LED lights were very long lasting, very low energy/electricity users, very stylish, and didn't get hot to the touch. Unfortunately, they're also the most expensive right now.

Having looked in stores, and done the research, I settled myself on spending more than $100 on a new desk lamp. I work 100% from home, so I viewed it as a good investment and another step in making my home office a place where I like to be for 8+ hours a day. My two favorite LED lamps were the Koncept Z-Bar High Power LED lamp and the Humanscale Element LED Lamp. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $340+ for the Humanscale Element, but the Koncept Z-Bar's $160 price was a little bit more palatable.

Next came trying to figure out whether I wanted the Daylight or Warm White LED lights, and I read a lot of differing opinions that didn't really help me decide. In the end, it seemed to me like the Daylight LED lights would offer the ability to be brighter, so I went with them. I was worried that the light would be blue-tinted as I'd read in some customer reviews, but if it is (I can't tell?), it certainly doesn't bother me at all. I also read people complaining about flickering LED lights at lower lighting levels, but thankfully I have not seen any of this and think that it's a problem that might have existed in older models.

Koncept does a really nice job on packaging and finish and attention to detail, and my first thought on unpacking and assembling the Z-Bar was that it was very much like something you'd get from Apple.

I am extremely satisfied with my Koncept Z-Bar High Power LED Lamp. The price was not too high, especially considering the current price range for other LED desk lamps, and the quality is truly stunning. I have no problems at all with it, no complaints, and haven't seen any flickering or other sub-par behavior. Would definitely buy again. The only other problem I found was that these lamps are extremely popular right now and hard to find available online. I think Koncept themselves are out of stock on these for at least another month. So if you can find a retailer who still has these in stock, buy one quickly, because chances are, in another hour they'll be sold out too. =:)

When I purchased this lamp I thought it was great. Great flexibility in position and lighting intensity.

9 months after I purchased it, it stopped working altogether.....none of the lights lit...nothing.

I contacted the seller to see if there was a fuse or something that could have gone bad but no. I even thought that maybe there was a short internally.

The seller responded that since it was past their warranty period through Amazon, I needed to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturers warranty was one year and I was less than a year (9 months )of ownership.

I did contact the manufacturer but could never get a response. It is now 2 days past the one year manufacturers warranty period and still no response. I have to assume that I'll just throw the thing out.

Great lamp if it works. Terrible customer service if it doesn't.

Electrically, there is poor contact between the LED bar plug and its socket, this causes the lamp to flicker a few times per hour annoying. The flicker would have caused me to return the lamp, but being in the UK, I modified the lamp to fix it. Lack of electromechanical design skills are evident, LEDs take 900mA, all connectors need to be up rated for lifetime use. Design appearance is good. Mechanically the operation is a bit plastic and not 100% smooth, but acceptable. Works on 240V.

I purchased my Dainolite Adjustable floor lamp in December 2011 and I love it. It is sitting in my office next to my easy chair for perfect reading. I purchased this lamp because of its' ability to adjust the light from dim to bright as well as adjust the height. I have not had to change the bulb yet, therefore cannot say whether this function is easy or not. Overall, I would recommend this fixture to a friend.

These bulbs are a great example of what CFL bulbs can do nowadays. Remember the times when you switched on an energy saving bulb, and it would take several seconds to turn on, followed by about 10 minutes of ridiculously dim light, until it had reached its full brightness? These times are over. These bulbs switch on instantly and are also instantly bright.

The light temperature (hue) is also very pleasant and not "hospital-like".

I definitely recommend these bulbs for anyone who hates spending half their electricity bill on light...

But be careful where you buy: I have seen these as low as $4.20 in local home improvement stores. At their retail price of $9 each, they are way overpriced.

Side-by-side with a 40 watt incandscent bulb in an identical lamp, this light puts out a surprisingly bright and warm light. Many CFLs are advertised to have a "warm soft" light, but most do not compare to incandescent light. I've purchased numerous bulbs for these very lamps, and I've never been satisfied with the overall look before now. I definitely recommend these.

It's very hard to find this kind of "enclosed" CF bulb in the same shape as a traditional A19 edison-base bulb. I was confident that GE would have a good design and that it would be reliable. The design is indeed great the neck of the bulb is the "normal" shape, so this will fit in older and vintage light fixtures without a problem. It also looks just like a regular bulb. The color temperature is better than most CF bulbs. The downfall of this bulb, like many CF bulbs I've tested, is that it does not last anywhere near as long as claimed. The package says "Lasts 5 Years" I installed this bulb in my breakfast room in August 2011 and just over a year later in Oct 2012 it burned out. Disappointing.

I ordered these bulbs a while ago and it was a 2-bulb set. I decided to reorder and, seeing 2 bulbs in the picture, ordered again. However, the title clearly states that it is now 1-bulb. Please update the picture to accurately illustrate the product.

Otherwise, the product provides very nice light, but at 1 bulb for $10, too expensive.

This is a beautiful lamp, especially by mainland standards. It does have a few problems, which I will deal with below.

1) This lamp is a bit larger than I expected. It makes a real statement, with its dark wood and chrome accents, so don't expect it to blend into the background unless the rest of your decor is modern/chrome and the like. Don't expect it to go well with Ethan Allen.

2) The parts aren't really fixed to each other all that well. The black part swivels slightly on the chrome rod. I've noticed this lack of fixed attachment on other mainland lamps. It's really not an issue unless you bang into it a lot.

3) The shade is just a tad small for the size of the lamp, and the off white color isn't, in my opinion at least, appropriate for the base. I was planning all along to order (from Fenchel Shades) a black linen replacement to match my other lamps, so this was never an issue for me. The base does seem to require a rectangular shade, the base being wider in one dimension than the other. Round just won't cut it, though I considered oval, which is available from replacement shade manufacturers as well.

The switch is on the lamp, where it belongs, and not on the wire.

The lamp comes with a 13-watt flourescent (equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent) to keep it in compliance with California law, though it will take a brighter flourescent and even a regular bulb. I generally use 23-watt fluorescents. And, despite the blurb, unless I'm missing something, this lamp is not dimmable.

For $50 this should be better quality. The issue I have is that the two lines of string the connect the matchstick bamboo are not very straight and are glued in place. This isn't a huge issue for me and I'm happy with my purchase but the quality seems more a $20 dollar lamp. I would buy more of them if they cost less.

I have seen similar items in little Tokyo in Los Angeles for about 35 dollars but they are smaller and the covering is some type of paper with a design or lettering on it. What I like about this one is that it is taller and the thing that you really cannot see from the picture is that the covering is bamboo. You can barely see that there are approximately 100 plus bamboo strands tied together by string horizontally on each side which I find very attractive. the light it gives off is enough to give a 8 x 10 room enough light but remember, you are limited to the socket size which is about a 60 watt light. I have several Bonsai trees in my room in one corner and when I turn the light on( a one and off switch), it adds a real subtle ambiance. If you have any questions about this item. I must say that when I saw this I fell in love....when it arrived I loved it even more, however, as Olson mentioned it is not a perfect product. As I was looking at mine I also noticed that some of the bamboo strands were not even, noticeably so, this is right out of the box mind you, and for the 50ish that was paid for it you would expect them to be straight on all sides. That said, one side is great, and I have put that side facing out (the product is against a wall) so you can't even really see the crooked bamboo strands on the sides or the back unless you look at it closely. Oh and when the light is on, it makes seeing the flaws harder as most people won't stare at it for more than a few seconds at a time with the light on. In short, the product would be perfect without the flaws...I expected better quality for the amount I paid, but, it is a great product and it meets my needs, so I won't be bothering with the return process or anything.....though I was very much tempted to do so. I would buy this same product from them again, and possibly other products as well....so far at least.

I purchased this lamp because of the long lasting Halogen lamps and the ability to dim the lights when necessary. I do a lot of video editing out of my office and needed a light that would not affect the color temperature of the screen but did not want to spend the money for an electrician to come in and run track lighting. This lamp did everything that I needed it to. When I received the unit one of the glass globes was broken but after speaking with Customer Service they sent a brand new light the next business day. Since then i have not had any issues with the light. One thing to be aware of though when purchasing this lamp is that in the Product Features, it states that it "Requires 1 x 40 Watt E27-socket A-type bulb (not included)" which is actually not needed. other than that the information is correct. 6 Halogen lamps are provided for the unit and 5 glass globes. Hope this helps in your purchase of this lamp. I would recommend this lamp and maybe buy another one if I needed.

For the price, these are a great deal! Very easy to put together. We love the soft lighting that they give to our bedroom and the light is very unobtrusive if one has to turn a light on when the other is sleeping. We also like the height of these particular nightstands, since our bed has the taller boxspring and mattress. Only disappointments (but, we were looking for inexpensive) is that the wood is not really an "oak" look (there isn't any woodgrain) and the top isn't all that big -you can only fit a small clock radio and, say, a tissue box, but all-in-all, we're happy with our purchase (because we were looking for inexpensive nightstands).

Gives off a lovely low diffuse light, and was the perfect height for next to our platform bed. Finish is good quality, and the paper screens inside the lamp are sturdy and a nice natural color. The top was made to come on and off, but wouldn't seat properly, so my husband had to do something to make it stay still not sure if he put a couple of penny nails, or used putty or something, but he made it so it doesn't rock any more. Floor on/off step switch broke after a year and he bought a new switch (same type) at Target and rewired the lamp. We didn't expect perfection for $99, so no gripes, just a heads-up.

Super Easy assembly. I shouldn't even call it assembly. The four sides are all ready together you just go from flat to square by opening it up, put in a bulb and put the top on. The top is a strong heavy wood. The light is from 25w up to 60w. Gives great effect.

The quality of the paint is medium-low... but what is worse is the quality of the paper (if it is paper indeed), which is too thin so instead of diffusing the light, you can see directly the bulb glowing. Claiming that this lamp is "excellent quality" is a big, fat lie!

Only reason I didn't give this lamp a 5 star rating is because of the included bulbs that came with it. 3 low wattage nightlight bulbs were included with the lamp and were useless to try to read by. Luckily I had some 25 watt bulbs that fit the cantalabra bases this lamp has, swapped them out and now have a useful light to read by on my bed headboard. Really nice when I get sleepy just to reach up and touch the lamp and it's off to dreamland for me. I have had several folks compliment me on the shade this lamp has also. It's porpoise design and really goes will with the blue theme in my bedroom. Update---07/12/2013---The very first time a bulb blew out, the lamp quit working. I went back online and purchased a replacement dimmer control and when I opened the base of this lamp I found out why it went bad so quick. The dimmer control that comes with this lamp is only rated for 100 watts. Since I'm using 3 bulbs of 25 watts each, when 1 blew it caused a surge which took the dimmer out with it. I have replaced the dimmer control with one rated for 300 watts and it should last forever. I've used the same 300 watt dimmer on another touch lamp I have for about 3 years now and haven't had a lick of trouble with it. Even though the lamp is rated for 3 bulbs of up to 25 watts each, be aware that when I was working on the lamp tonight replacing the dimmer, I also noticed that 2 of the 3 bulb bases are now cracked. I don't expect this lamp to last very much longer and when it does crap out again, it's going to wind up in the trash and I'll get something more substantial. Don't buy this piece of junk unless you are capable of rewiring it and replacing shoddy parts.

The lamps I purchased had to be put together, which took about 10 minutes for each. They came with everything needed and were quite simple to put togther. They look even better at home than they do online and the black chrome finish is attractive. I have heard that touch lamps can turn on by themselves but that had never happened to me until one night the one on the opposite side of the bed turned on. I know my cats have turned them on before but there was no cat in sight. Oh, and I've had a cat knock one of them down without any damage to the lamp or glass pieces. Great product.

Requires a minor amount of assembly but very little and probably for the best as it is real glass and would not survive the shipping otherwise. Took maybe 5 minutes at the most to insert the glass and pieces together, so cant really complain. Felt it was a good gift for a dolphin lover! She had everything else under the sun with dolphins on it, so this was a no brainer to add to the mix.
