It is very well made. Heavy,sturdy, and very pretty. The shades are handmade so the only thing is when lit even with the same wattage bulb the one shade looks darker.the one shade has more fabric "scrunched" on it. Therefore, it appears darker when lit. I've only had the lamps a month and have no regrets in purchasing them.

Cheap 72" Metal Black Finish Pool Table Light Billiard lamp

The look of this thing is awesome... We put it in our church pool room above the pool table and it looks great... There are really just two minor complaints I have...

The first is that the actual wiring wire was fairly short. Our connection point in the ceiling wasn't in the center of the room, so we have the two chains that go straight up, and then there is this goofy wire that kinda goes the opposite way... Thankfully our ceiling is black so it does hide pretty well.

The second thing is that the lamp shades start to get a bit uneven if they get bumped this is a very small nit pick, and shouldn't be a big deal to most, but again, this is in a youth room at a church, and it gets banged up probably way more than most people ever would.

Overall though a decent HUGE light!

I use these in my bathroom vanity mirror, and they are much nicer than the bluish glass incandescent variety. Only problem is Amazon's price is about double what Home Depot regularly charges for a pair of these. Shop around.

These bulbs are a great example of what CFL bulbs can do nowadays. Remember the times when you switched on an energy saving bulb, and it would take several seconds to turn on, followed by about 10 minutes of ridiculously dim light, until it had reached its full brightness? These times are over. These bulbs switch on instantly and are also instantly bright.

The light temperature (hue) is also very pleasant and not "hospital-like".

I definitely recommend these bulbs for anyone who hates spending half their electricity bill on light...

But be careful where you buy: I have seen these as low as $4.20 in local home improvement stores. At their retail price of $9 each, they are way overpriced.

Side-by-side with a 40 watt incandscent bulb in an identical lamp, this light puts out a surprisingly bright and warm light. Many CFLs are advertised to have a "warm soft" light, but most do not compare to incandescent light. I've purchased numerous bulbs for these very lamps, and I've never been satisfied with the overall look before now. I definitely recommend these.

It's very hard to find this kind of "enclosed" CF bulb in the same shape as a traditional A19 edison-base bulb. I was confident that GE would have a good design and that it would be reliable. The design is indeed great the neck of the bulb is the "normal" shape, so this will fit in older and vintage light fixtures without a problem. It also looks just like a regular bulb. The color temperature is better than most CF bulbs. The downfall of this bulb, like many CF bulbs I've tested, is that it does not last anywhere near as long as claimed. The package says "Lasts 5 Years" I installed this bulb in my breakfast room in August 2011 and just over a year later in Oct 2012 it burned out. Disappointing.

I ordered these bulbs a while ago and it was a 2-bulb set. I decided to reorder and, seeing 2 bulbs in the picture, ordered again. However, the title clearly states that it is now 1-bulb. Please update the picture to accurately illustrate the product.

Otherwise, the product provides very nice light, but at 1 bulb for $10, too expensive.

I set this lamp out as soon as I received it. It was for my son's rock and roll themed bedroom. He loved it. (He's 8.) The only drawback (if you want to call it a drawback) is that when it is lit, it emits a reddish pinkish tent through the lampshade. This was no big deal to us. Overall, this was a great purchase! :)

This desk lamp is even nicer than I'd hoped. Glossy black finish and a nicely weighted base so gooseneck lamp doesn't tip over. And it doesn't get hot, just slightly warm after being on for awhile. If you have to have a table fan in your well decorated room this is the one to have. It looks like I paid twice the price. The glass base is beautiful especially when you turn on the base night light within. I have yet to take it off the first of the 3 speed fan, so you know it will move the air.

I have purchased 2 of these fans and they are replacing the ugly white fans in my master br and guest room. They are stylish, quiet, have 3 speeds, oscillate and you even get the nightlight. I cannot sleep without a fan and this does the trick! I love it... designer fans.... who'd a thunk it??? :-)

As mentioned by the other reviews there is a fair bit of assembling required . But once assembled it works and looks great . A curious thing I found out about the light and why its not very bright . It has a 15 watt bulb in it which is fine . But it's 230 volts not 110 volts .... This explains the poor light . A 230 volt bulb will last extremely long time on 110 volt power but won't be very bright . Simply exchange the bulb for a 15 watt 110 volt bulb and ya laughing .

This fan is simply lovely, works very well, and will be treasured. It is relatively quiet (it is a fan, after all), the light is very soft and perfect for a night light, and it is a lovely piece of work. The only negative response relates to the assembly instructions which needs to be addressed by the company, Deco Breeze. I noticed a few other buyers commented about the same oversight, so it would be good for Deco Breeze to re-write their manual. The instruction manual that arrived in the box only described inserting the "assembled" fan head into the fan base. Those instructions were clear, however the fan head (fan blade and front and back grills) did not arrive "fully assembled" and no instructions were included. I also had to Google the company, find the instructions on their web site, download to a PDF file, and proceed with putting the fan head together. Once that was completed, the downloaded instructions did not direct me on the method of inserting the fan head into the fan base. Basically, there are two separate instructions for both the fan head and the fan base. The company simply needs to combine the two into one manual and place it in the box. Not rocket science.

Overall, this is a lovely product and I am very pleased so far with its operation, efficiency and appearance. It was a surprise for my husband and he loves it as well. A nice addition to our home.

Ok so it's hard not to love Castiglioni's design for the Flos Arco. It's a classic. When I ordered the Kardiel I was skeptical. I hate knockoffs. But I also hate ripoffs! and paying $2900 for a Flos Arco just didn't sit right. It's just a lamp! The Kardiel is an amazing replica. The marble base weights 140lbs and it's a nice cut. It has done wonders to dress up my living area.

So the question for you is do you believe in paying $2400 extra just for a brand? Or do you want a high quality stainless steel and marble replica that works the same at a price that is much closer to its *true* cost. My only beef could be that they recommend using a 60W bulb would be nice to put in 100W.

We got these as a gift and weren't sure how much we'd use them but they made for great nightlights when we had overnight guests with 7-year-old twin girls who slept in the loft--away from all the adults. I bought 2 of these lamps. I received one while the other one was in back order. I returned the lamp that I received because it was broken and damaged because of the unproper packaging. The box was severely damaged impacting on the content (the lamp), particularly the lamp shade which was broken. Consequently, I have cancelled the purchase of both lamps. As a matter of fact, the quality of the shade did not match that of the rest of the lamp. I bought 5 of these for my dining room table chandelier. Immediately out of the box, 2 were clear glass and the other 3 were yellowed. Not terrible to me because my walls are yellow anyhow so you can't tell, but in a different room, this would have been problematic since all 5 were in the same fixture.

Also, previously, I had been using 40watt candle shaped exposed bulbs on an IKEA base. It was plenty of light, and I was able to use a dimmer to the right amount for entertaining. I love the look of the Edison antique bulbs so thought I'd switch them out and add these beauties. They're great, and really cast a nice amber hue/candlelight ambiance to the room. But my dining room table is no longer good for crafting, reading or anything needing a strong light. I couldn't find a 40watt candelabra base Edison light so I settled for these 25watt bulbs. Big mistakeif you need the stronger light, get the right wattage.

On the plus side, they are compatible with a dimmer.

The lamp arrived well packaged and in almost perfect condition. The shipper had poked a hole in the box and luckily that didn't destroy anything. The way the styrofoam packaging is made, a few of the small projections on the bottom rim of the shade (which are the heads of the dragon flies) were bent. I was able to carefully form them back to where they should be with my fingers.

The lamp requires two regular base light bulbs up to 60W and one small based bulb inside the base or main body of the lamp no larger than 25W. Smaller may even be better. I installed a small base 60W candleabra bulb in there and the lamp started to smoke as it got hotter. I'm thinking that perhaps a regular small base night light bulb would be sufficient.

Even though the lamp is advertised as being "American Made" the box says it came from China (as most everything seems to be these days). It may very well be American made glass but the lamp is made in China.

UPDATE! 01-11-2011

My original lamp got knocked over by my nephew during Christmas. I took the lamp to a local stained glass maker and repair shop. They figured that I must have paid at least $500 for the lamp. Although no glass was broken, the cone that supports the lamp shade was badly bent and the insides of the lamp base got knocked loose. The repair shop wanted $250 to repair it! I decided to just buy a brand new one for $150 instead.

I'm actually glad this happened. The new lamp is of a much higher quality than the original lamp was. The glass is formed a lot nicer and it's not flimsy like the original lamp seemed. The manufacturer must have increased their quality control or mine was just made by a Chinese guy that was much better at it.

Anyway, I'm well satisfied with the newest version and would highly recommend them. The packaging was much better also!

It's prettier than the photo. It comes with the lamp in the base. There is a main switch on the cord. The max. watt is 60 each for the lamps under the shade.

When you walk around it the light pattern changes. Wonderful.
