I bought 5 of these for my dining room table chandelier. Immediately out of the box, 2 were clear glass and the other 3 were yellowed. Not terrible to me because my walls are yellow anyhow so you can't tell, but in a different room, this would have been problematic since all 5 were in the same fixture.
Also, previously, I had been using 40watt candle shaped exposed bulbs on an IKEA base. It was plenty of light, and I was able to use a dimmer to the right amount for entertaining. I love the look of the Edison antique bulbs so thought I'd switch them out and add these beauties. They're great, and really cast a nice amber hue/candlelight ambiance to the room. But my dining room table is no longer good for crafting, reading or anything needing a strong light. I couldn't find a 40watt candelabra base Edison light so I settled for these 25watt bulbs. Big mistakeif you need the stronger light, get the right wattage.
On the plus side, they are compatible with a dimmer.First light burnt out in less than an hour after installing it in the socket. A bit disappointment. Look great though.
