I am an elementary music teacher and this lamp is perfect for my classroom. It is sitting on my desk. When we turn the lights out and the lamp is on the notes really stand out. It gives me just enough light to still see when the regular lights are off. The color is great and the base is sturdy. It was simple to assemble out of the box.

I set this lamp out as soon as I received it. It was for my son's rock and roll themed bedroom. He loved it. (He's 8.) The only drawback (if you want to call it a drawback) is that when it is lit, it emits a reddish pinkish tent through the lampshade. This was no big deal to us. Overall, this was a great purchase! :)
