This is a very pretty fixture, has a mid-century look, but the glass part of the pendant we received was defective. We weren't able to get it straight. After sending a picture to Philips they agreed the glass was "off" and had us return it to Amazon. Amazon didn't have anymore in stock so we had to go with a different fixture.

Well I gotta say, it's pretty dim compared to my previous 20W lamp. But at ~3W of consumption (estimated) it may be worth it. It illuminates my keyboard, which is really all I wanted. It doesn't get hot like my previous lamp. The styling is not great; it's a little bloated... not exactly sleek or modern. It also has a pretty big wall-wart for a power supply (that generates some heat).

If you have to have a table fan in your well decorated room this is the one to have. It looks like I paid twice the price. The glass base is beautiful especially when you turn on the base night light within. I have yet to take it off the first of the 3 speed fan, so you know it will move the air.

I have purchased 2 of these fans and they are replacing the ugly white fans in my master br and guest room. They are stylish, quiet, have 3 speeds, oscillate and you even get the nightlight. I cannot sleep without a fan and this does the trick! I love it... designer fans.... who'd a thunk it??? :-)

As mentioned by the other reviews there is a fair bit of assembling required . But once assembled it works and looks great . A curious thing I found out about the light and why its not very bright . It has a 15 watt bulb in it which is fine . But it's 230 volts not 110 volts .... This explains the poor light . A 230 volt bulb will last extremely long time on 110 volt power but won't be very bright . Simply exchange the bulb for a 15 watt 110 volt bulb and ya laughing .

This fan is simply lovely, works very well, and will be treasured. It is relatively quiet (it is a fan, after all), the light is very soft and perfect for a night light, and it is a lovely piece of work. The only negative response relates to the assembly instructions which needs to be addressed by the company, Deco Breeze. I noticed a few other buyers commented about the same oversight, so it would be good for Deco Breeze to re-write their manual. The instruction manual that arrived in the box only described inserting the "assembled" fan head into the fan base. Those instructions were clear, however the fan head (fan blade and front and back grills) did not arrive "fully assembled" and no instructions were included. I also had to Google the company, find the instructions on their web site, download to a PDF file, and proceed with putting the fan head together. Once that was completed, the downloaded instructions did not direct me on the method of inserting the fan head into the fan base. Basically, there are two separate instructions for both the fan head and the fan base. The company simply needs to combine the two into one manual and place it in the box. Not rocket science.

Overall, this is a lovely product and I am very pleased so far with its operation, efficiency and appearance. It was a surprise for my husband and he loves it as well. A nice addition to our home.

Cheap Wireless Appliance Remote Control Lamp Light Switch

The package I ordered from Amazon looks like the illustration except that the main unit has DSI shown on the face. I have had several frustrations with this item. It was necessary to click the remote unit several times before the receiver would turn on the light. Thinking that was caused by the surge suppresser it was plugged into, I plugged it directly into the wall AC-DC. Same behavior. Thinking it was delivered with a weak battery, I replaced that too. No improvement.

The remote and the sensor are in the same room but divided by a wall. The signal does not require flowing thru a wall or door. I have another unit that I bought several years ago which, by the way is much smaller, and that works beautifully with just one press of the remote.

No more DSI products for me.

I bought this product so that I would be able to turn off my sound amplifier from the opposite side of my 2-story house. I play music using a Sonos system controlled wirelessly by an iPod Touch. At the end of the day, when I'm upstairs and it's time to retire, I can turn the Sonos system off wirelessly, but the amplifier that the Sonos is connected to will stay on all night, drawing a lot of electricity. I now keep the remote control for this gizmo at my bedside. When I want to turn off the amplifier, I simply push the button on the remote. It works instantly and perfectly every time through all the walls and floors that separate my second-story bedroom from the amplifier on the first floor.

I wish I could say that I can also turn the amplifier back on using this gizmo, but unfortunately my Harmon Karmon amplifier doesn't work that way. Pushing the button on the remote control for this controller just puts the amplifier back into standby mode, and I then need to either use the Harmon Karmon remote or press a button on the amplifier to turn the amplifier back on. Also, in order to avoid having to carry the remote for this controller back downstairs again the next morning, I had to plug the mother unit for this device into a plug where it's easily accessible (not hidden behind the entertainment cabinet), so that I can press a button on the mother unit itself to turn the power back on the next day.

I bought 3 of these several years ago. The first thing I did was take off the cage around the light. I know it's there for safety reasons but it really gets in the way. I love the lamp because it clamps on to most table fairly easy. It's well constructed. I have bent them into tons of shapes and haven't broken them yet. I have a display at a trade show and I can direct the bright lights where I need them the most. I do have to say that the light gets very hot (thus the cages) but I always tell people not to touch them. I did bake an apple with one once! It was delicious. I teach drawing class and had the light on an apple for about an hour and it cooked it!

This lamp won my heart from the moment it emerged from the box. After trying many, many clampand gooseneck-lamps throughout my life, at last a winner!! This lamp is made of heavy-duty metal parts, so has enough heft to feel really sturdy (no horrid, flimsy plastic clamp on this item!). The clamp is both strong and well-designed: it opens wide enough to attach to a thick table or shelf (1 1/4 inches thick is about ideal--see my photograph) and its pads are well-placed -unlike some clamps, in my too-vast experience, which are placed such that they actually hinder the proper grip rather than help it. The gooseneck is strong enough to hold up its own weight without moving so much as an INCH; it is infinitely adjustable, allowing the finest degree of control, without sagging or springing back into some default position. I have tried "professional" architectural drafting lamps whose clamps and adjustability absolutely pale in comparison to this one. Buck up and spend the money on this item: it will last and last, and will prove to you how excellent a product this is. Highly recommended for both craft projects and reading. (I too removed the guard; see my photo.)

I have had these lights for sometime now and they work with my display at trade shows very well. I also use them when teaching drawing to shine a light on my subjects. I removed the safety cage because they were falling off anyway and I didn't like the look of them. They run rather hot thought so I warn people not to touch them. I really like these lights as they provide a good light where I need it. However, don't expect the clamp to hold up while you

adjust the gooseneck. I ended up drilling a hole in one side of the clamp, and affixing it to the backboard with a big screw.

I also removed the pansy guard at the front of the light. Otherwise, I like it. Good, hefty-size flexible stem material.

I've been searching for a sewing light that's bright, adjustable, won't obstruct my view, doesn't take up a lot of room or get super hot. I've tried many different lights, nothing really comes close to this one. Pros: 1) Flexible you can adjust the arm so it can "bend" over and go up and down, 2) No Obstructions does not obstruct my view, I can see the needle and stitch plate clearly without obstruction or shadows, 3) Takes up very little room you just clamp the lamp to the right of your sewing table, hardly takes up any room, 4) Stays cool not hot to the touch. Cons: 1) Fairly bright, but could be brighter, 2) Overpriced I think $50-$60 would be a fair price.

I really like the Slimine Table Light it is just what I needed for sewing. I have bought many other lights, but this one is the best. I put it to the right of my machine, and it never gets in mt way. I love the way you can push it up and out of the way when you put a new spool on, or rewind a bobbin. The clamp seems very secure. Happy after 2 years I found the one that works for me. Bye Bye old lights.

I loved this lamp while it worked!! Which was 2 days from the time I installed it. It shorted out so I called Amazon and ordered another one hoping it was just a fluke. Turns out it wasn't. The second lamp NEVER worked from the second I plugged it in. Another nail tech in my salon saw I bought this lamp and said one she had bought lasted about 9 months and died. Very disappointed as it fit the purpose of being a nail tech lamp so well.

I bought these to hang at my Halloween party, they are the perfect pumpkin orange. The size is also exactly what I wanted. I will be paining jack o lantern faces with black acrylic paint on them and lighting them with little LED lights or orange glowsticks. They are a little tight to put together, I ended up ripping a little hole, but I am a first timer with paper lanterns so it was probably user error. Eager to get these up and curious to see how they weather the out side. They do not feel heavy enough to last for weeks, so I will probably just hang them up the day before the party.

When I first received these, I opened the packaging and wanted to see what the lanterns would look like. On the very first one, the steel support pieces that are used to hold the lanterns open broke in a visible place and no extra's were sent from manufacturer in case something like that happens.

The price was great. However, in the last two months, two of them have stopped working within two weeks of installation while the others in similar fixtures with a different manufacturer's bulb have now worked for several years. I will not buy the Hikari bulbs any more.

We have two 12V pendant fixtures above the stove, and one has a Sylvania 12V/50W bulb, the other one of these.

Standing between them, there is a distinct buzz coming from the Higuchi.

Might be from the Lutron dimmer switch, but doesn't matter. The other bulb is silent.

Not good for quiet spaces or places where humans hang out.

We have been using this brand for many years roughly 10 years and they are inexpensive. They seem to last about 3 years but we leave these lights on 24/7. They are on a dimmer and are turned down at night but rarely ever are they turned off. I just bough a few more but so far so good.

These lamps are really the perfect size and fit for my night tables. The blue is a really nice color. They take candelabra bulbs for those of you that are unsure which to buy. I used the same globe shaped bulbs for these lamps as I did for my bathroom vanity and they work perfect.

These lamps are aesthetically pleasing. They are the right size and a really nice shade of blue... if only they would work correctly. I actually purchased two different sets because I really was pleased with their look. Not one out of the four lamps dimmed and one of the lamps wouldn't turn back on after turning it on/off and trying to turn it on again. It only turned back on if you unplugged it and then plugged it back in. The other three stayed at the same level of brightness, although once you've turned them on, you have to touch them three more times to turn them off. If you don't care about whether they dim or not, then I say go for it. Otherwise I would sugest buying a different lamp.
