This was purchased as a Christmas present and silly me, I did not open the box before giving it. It was discovered upon opening that it did not have the lamp shades, only the metal part. Amazon will not just send shades, so in order to get what was ordered, the whole huge thing would have to be sent back so a replacement could be sent.

Just save yourself the hassle and spend a little extra to get something quality, or go to a store and buy something similar to this where you will end up with what you purchased.

There are issues, the light itself is not bad, the install however is more tricky than some may like. No directions for starters. The round cover plate which attaches to the ceiling is not large enough to cover my standard round ceiling electrical box??? I need to go and get a new cover plate in chrome to make it work. That's annoying. That said the price was untouchable and if I can get the cover plate for 3-4 bucks it will not bother me too much. Using it over a pool table

These are nice as a whole, however when cutting and soldering them I've found they often don't work, guessing the cutting does something to the contacts inside. I'm very good at soldering so I don't question that, I've got over six rolls (with many solder points) of the clear installed at my house plus many more that I have installed in kitchens, living rooms and many other applications on side jobs.

This green I used as interior lights in my car, love the look, just be aware of the possible waste of non working strips when you have to cut.

Finally the sticky on the back of these is the worst I've had, paper often pulls off the adhesive off the stip, paper rips and isn't as sticky as most, they may not be using 3M like others are (like the clear I've used before).

I have ordered many products through the years from Amazon and have always been pleased; yet, I have never written a review since the other reviews generally reflected my opinion. In reading the one review written on this product (which was very negative), I had great hesitancy in ordering the product even though I liked the way it looked in the picture and the description.

After speaking to CS about it, I was assured that I could easily return the lamp if it did not meet my expectations. So, I decided to take a chance and ordered it.

It just arrived today, and I absolutely love it!. It is quality built and perfect for a porch. The shade is definitely wicker with PVC coating for weather protection. I could not be more pleased. It is absolutely worth the money, and looks great on the porch. A nice plus is the two way switch on the light. The lamp is truly a beautiful addition on the porch!

I just purchased one of these originally. I was not happy with the packing it came in. It was obviously a return, and the wrapping was pretty sloppy, and sand that was loaded in the base that keeps the lamp upright during high winds was leaking, and there was sand everywhere. But I cleaned it all up, the lamp itself was okay. It is all plastic, but for an outdoor lamp, I would think that's what you want. I would agree, though, it is pretty pricey for a plastic lamp. I did order another one to complete the patio arrangement I have. It looks nice, I have no complaints. My patio furniture has bronze frames, so it goes pretty well with that. I wouldn't want this inside the house, but like I said, for outside, it's ideal. Moisture cannot penetrate the bulb area anywhere because of the way it's made. I have another older outdoor floor lamp, and it has a glass globe that surrounds the bulb, and has been knocked over with high winds and has broken, so the plastic on this will hopefully protect it from getting broken.

I now have two of these. The lighter shade one is more natural looking (like wicker) than the other. Downside is the very plastic looking lamp stand/pedestal. Shade is actually attractive all things considered. Overall this works just fine for the job. I am not disappointed. The main negative I would say is the price, but I looked for comparable and could not find at a lower price. So, overall, I recommend it and would recommend even stronger if the price was lower.

This lamp is not as advertised. The wicker shade is plastic. The lamp has a cheap appearance. The pole is not bronze; it is bronze color. And for the oddity that it is, it is way, way overpriced.

Don't get me wrong, i LOVE the lamp!!! It is quite unique (with that adorable little lantern deal) and is perfect in my little stone house, or for those who enjoy just a touch of whimsy. The finish is pretty, but I didn't really see any resemblance to "bark"... or maybe I got that confused with the lamp that looks like tree limbs (also a Kichler lamp, in the same Woodlands Collection.) To me, the finish seems like kind of an "oil-rubbed bronze" but not quite that dark. It's just paint, folks. No moss or lichen growing, no mushrooms cropping up next to it (yet.) I don't think it resembles a tree, or anything else growing outside. In retrospect, I am not sure what I was expecting. I was just sooooo enchanted with the "lantern", I guess I just thought the lamp was going to transport me back to childhood or something. And on that note, I expected it to be biGGer. But, again I think this was a psychological issue; the lamp measures as described. I love that you can turn it on 3 ways just the little lantern, the lantern and the lamp, or just the lamp. I have just a little white "night light" in the lantern, but for even more "whimsy" a green (or any coloured light) might be fun. I REALLY appreciate having the "turn on/off" knob actually ON the lamp, and not on the cord (cheesy.) The shade is VERY nice, both colour and fabric. It's satin-ish, as described...& "oyster." (NOT "cream" like lots of cheap shades.) Actually the lamp is as described, and I DID get that "shopper's shiver" of delight when I finally got it out of the box(es). I think I was just expecting a Disneyland Experience. Everyone (well, girlfriends only, really) who had visited since I got it has said "Oooh, Cute!!". Oh, also, the lantern does not come off, it's wired to the lamp, but not obviously. Yeah, I love it. I would have loved it a little more if it had been about $100.00

I LOVE what these two lamps do to my living room! When I'm no in there, the little lantern lights give a wonderful ambience. During the day when they are off, their simple beauty makes the room special. And in the evening when I'm enjoying reading time they are so welcoming. This lamp looks nice and I like that it can be bright, dim or in between.

Other than that, it was somewhat hard to put together but not too bad. Also the screws that hold the glass over the bulbs don't line up correctly with the holes, so we kind of had to push, fudge, stretch and they are not really all the way in.... didn't like that, so it didn't get five stars.

I really like these lamps. They are stylish, sleek and the foot dimmer allows for nice options to achieve the optimal lighting effect for your space. It also has a small metal plate as the weight in its base, unlike the torchieres I bought at Home depot which had concrete wrapped in a plastic coating. One day, the plastic coating disintegrated and the concrete fell apart all over my floor. What a disastrous mess. Concrete?...really?

Anyway, as far as these lamps go, I only gave it 4 stars for the following reasons:

A: One needs to take extra care in assembling these and getting the tubes to line up correctly. Not a big deal if you have a little patience. It takes about 10-15 minutes to assemble. In fact, getting the parts out of the stupid packaging takes almost as long.

B: The foot dimmer is a little awkward to adjust without actually getting down on the floor and adjusting it by hand. It would have been a better design if they had the dimmer switch on the main body instead of the floor. What are you going to do if you have these behind an end table or couch?

Looks great. Everyone who has seen it likes it. Quality of construction could have been a little better but what can you expect nowadays from Chinese products. Still worth the money if you want a nice looking Tiffany style ceiling lamp without spending a fortune. Better than anything at Home Depot or Lowes. You have to watch out what type of bulbs you use since there it not much clearance between the sockets and the shade. 60W CFL bulbs will fit, just barely.

We are very happy with this purchase. The fixture is very solid and the light that filters through the glass is beautiful. We have several Tiffany style fixtures and this one is our favorite.

For the price this is a great looking light fixture, definitely upgraded the look of the room. Had to cut some screws with a Dremel tool to make it fit but that might be just my type of electrical box, once I did that it was a snap to install. The only reason it did not get five stars is it hangs crooked. Didn't want to risk breaking the fixture by bending it so it will have to do. It looks so good I'm sure I'll forget about it by tomorrow.

Worth the money, no need to spend a fortune on a fixture, everyone likes it, made pretty well even though it's from China, feels solid, installed easily since it replaced an existing fixture, came packed really well, takes 3 60w CFLs, gives a nice soft light with plenty of colors, used in a room that was a dining room, I highly recommend this fixture.

I love these lamps. I looked for quite a while because I wanted white lamp shades. The only problem I have is that the glass on the 2 lamps is different. In one the glass swirls and the other is straight up and down. Unfortunately, I had disposed of the packaging because I was having a crowd for Thanksgiving. I gave my mother this pretty lamp on her 86th birthday and she simply loved it. She likes to use it on the low setting for a gentle glow in her living room at night. It is also bright enough for her to read by. I especially liked the color of the base, it looks quite rich!

This is a beautiful lamp as you can see from my customer images. I found out right away that the bulbs it comes with don't provide enough light for the room I have it in, but I changed them with some 25 watt bulbs that I got at walmart for cheap which are larger and provide a lot more light! It works perfectly!! Note: A word of CAUTION Don't use a higher watt bulb, I found this out the hard way as it started to turn off on it's own and then it would not go off! The 25 watt bulbs are fine and any stronger than that is a fire risk. Once I replaced the bulbs with the proper 25 watt, the issues went away and I am really enjoying my pretty lamp!

I've spent years working & living with fluorescent & regular bulbs & have been happiest & more relaxed under these bulbs! I can't afford the true full spectrum bulbs (which are paradise for the eyes & brain!) so I tried these "Reveal" bulbs. What a difference it has made to me! The eye strain I used to feel is gone, the dull head feeling is gone; the colors stand out much more brightly & so make me even feel happier. I now use only "Reveal" bulbs in my home. Not everyone will notice a difference as not everyone is affected by color & light the same ways. If you ARE feeling eye strain, that 'dull' feeling in the head or even the winter blues from lack of sunlight, these may help! These bulbs do exactly what they are meant to do. On my ceiling fan/light, I have 2 ordinary soft whites and two Reveals. The difference is clear. The soft whites give everything an obvious yellow tint. The Reveal bulbs do not. More colors come out. My eyes are more relaxed.

I often spend hours at my home computer, so anything that reduces eye strain is welcomed. One issue that the previous rater mentioned is true their light is somewhat dimmer than of the soft white bulb of same wattage. It does not feel different enough to require a 60W instead of 40W, or to require a 75W instead of 60W. I'm fine with the same Wattage as before.

btw, I previously used a similar bulb from Philips. It may have been called "Natural Spectrum". It performed in the same way.

I've used GE Reveal bulbs almost everywhere in my home for several years now. I love the way they bring out and enhance colors and mood. The only major drawback to these, is the EXTREMELY short lifespan. It is not untypical for bulbs to last barely a month or two with infrequent usage. Sadly other 'normal' incandescents will last years with the same amount of usage.

Suspecting an issue with bulb life but not having any proof, I loaded a two-light fixture with one Reveal and one standard GE incandescent. Sure enough, the Reveal lasted barely 1/4 of the time of the standard incandescent. This wouldn't be so much a problem if the bulbs were affordable, but of course the fetch a premium price. So I'm paying double (or more) the money, and get 1/4 the life of a normal bulb. Simply not worth it in the final analysis. I am now slowly switching back to standard incandescents as I blow through the final stock of my Reveals.

I have to give this product 2 of 4 stars, simply for the lifespan issue. Sad, unfortunately.

I have been using Reveal as well as other full-spectrum bulbs. I generally get these because they give off a great light and tend to be about half the price of the Verilux and other full-spectrums I like.

However, they seem to last about 2/3's as long, sometimes half as long as the Verilux and I spent the last year installing them side-by-side with the Verilux to give them equal testing in the same light array(I have a 4 bulb light array in my office and they all answer to one switch).

I do love how much easier it is on the eyes to read under this light, and everything, including my art and carpet, look much better with this.

I am reluctant to switch to compact fluorescent due to the pollution they cause and the rare earth metals that are being depleted by their use and I am starting to stockpile the incandescent bulbs and picture a time when they will only be available "speakeasy" style after the law takes effect.

Compact Florescent light is harsh, white and I find causes eye strain when reading under it.

I was skeptical that these would have a significant improvement over the usual soft white bulbs, but wow, the difference is amazing! The light is much cleaner, and less glare inducing, the 'whiteness' is incredible. It's very pleasing, I was impressed.

As a result, I've replaced every single bulb in my house, and am heading back to the store tomorrow to get more reveal bulbs!

I bought these to hang at my Halloween party, they are the perfect pumpkin orange. The size is also exactly what I wanted. I will be paining jack o lantern faces with black acrylic paint on them and lighting them with little LED lights or orange glowsticks. They are a little tight to put together, I ended up ripping a little hole, but I am a first timer with paper lanterns so it was probably user error. Eager to get these up and curious to see how they weather the out side. They do not feel heavy enough to last for weeks, so I will probably just hang them up the day before the party.

When I first received these, I opened the packaging and wanted to see what the lanterns would look like. On the very first one, the steel support pieces that are used to hold the lanterns open broke in a visible place and no extra's were sent from manufacturer in case something like that happens.

What more do u need if you're looking for what is pictured? The Ceramic base of this should tolerate the heat from any reasonably sized incandescent/halogen flood (which runs HOT) as well as CCFL's & LED bulbs (which run cool!) The wire cage is sturdy and doesn't get bent out of shape easily, the wiring is solid and the clamp holds sturdy. I bought 2 more!
