This lamp looks great! It is well made and a little heavy, but that is a good thing. I would recommend this product with one draw back for me. I wish it was about 2 inches taller so it would light my writing area better. I am not able to move the lamp to another location since my desk area is small. Brighter bulbs would help but that is not an option. This is the right size for a desk and is high quality so I would still recommend it.

If you want uber modern without wanting to feel like you're in a Starship Captain's living room or the 1980s, this lamp is perfect.

This was my first "post Ikea 20something life" lamp purchase. I wanted a grown-up bachelorette pad that is very minimalist with only a few pieces with interesting details, everyone else sparse, with only one or spots of femininity. This lamp definitely is for those who want a Bahaus-styled living room.

It reminds me of the polar opposite (new science) of Restoration Hardware's Focault's Gyroscope lamp (dawn of early science), which is a chandelier, around metal gyroscope rings, which is over $1,500 and totally out of my budget range. At $170ish-$300 (Amazon's third party vendors sells it in more reasonable ranges than places elsewhere charging $300 for it).

The shade is actually metallic silver when the lamp is off, which looks great in living rooms of both men and women, because it looks like a stainless steel lamp with a stainless steel lampshade. I was concerned it wouldn't be bright or how proportioned it would be because I couldn't find photos of the lamp in a room vignette. It's very bright. Once the lamp is on, the shade turns opaque and has a greyish tinge with 12-silvery orbs and 12-light bulbs---it looks like a central atom bound to a 12-molecule membered ring floating in an opaque grey box.

The lamp shade does get hot really quickly. I had it on for 3 minutes and it was super hot already. If this lamp lasts without issues for a while, I'll get another floor lamp or a table lamp,to place on a clear acrylic side coffee table (like the ghost chair) or a mirrored Parsons end table.

This is probably not a lamp for a home with lots of clumsy people (ie: people in roommates situations with roommates who bring random people over to "hang out") or children. The lampshade can dent or scratch easily, as it feels like a thicker sheet of metallic sheet or foil.

I'm very happy I discovered Adesso. The company seem to produce moderately priced, great modern lamps without looking too gaudy or so modern it looks like it came from the 1980s.

However, the replacement lightbulbs are very hard to find, even in NYC. Many don't sell incandescent G12 size bulbs---most G12 bulbs are opaque (beige) or clear.

Even Home Depot doesn't carry G12s size bulbs. Online sources can be unreliable when it comes to light bulbs though (broken during transit/shipment).

So make sure you have a reliable source of bulbs if you intend to get this.

Lamp is stunning, provides a nice illumination source and functionality while having a very unique and attractive style. I have had numerous comments and compliments as it immediately grabs attention for its unique style and appeal. The triangular lit area in the center looks very deep and provides a nice "night light" while the main light is perfect for reading or illuminating an area within a room. The quality is very good. For someone seeking contemporary decor, this lamp is ideal. I was initially skeptical and on the fence to order this without first seeing it in person. However, I liked it so much I bought a second one, and will buy a third as a gift for a friend who was very fond of the lamp, but would be unable to afford it. I found one on Ruelala for under $200, but for $250 on Amazon, the price is very reasonable for such a unique and beautiful lamp. I simply have never seen another table lamp quite like this one.

This lamp is somewhat different than what i expected but over all it works well. It has a plastic base and the lamp shade itself is also plastic. It pops off to reveal a 40 watt candelabra style light bulb. It has a toggle switch on the cord to turn it on and off. The brightness level is not high but works well for watching TV, perhaps a little brighter would be nice for reading. Overall I consider it a good purchase for the price.

I love these lamps. I looked for quite a while because I wanted white lamp shades. The only problem I have is that the glass on the 2 lamps is different. In one the glass swirls and the other is straight up and down. Unfortunately, I had disposed of the packaging because I was having a crowd for Thanksgiving. My Mom noticed it the day before Thanksgiving. Most people can't tell. One of the lamps was shipped from amazon and the other factory direct.

bought this lamp about 1 month ago and have been using it regularly since then.

The lamp has a lot of reach and flexibility, can be easily clamped to the end of a table. The tension in the springs is good and each joint can be tightened further to lock motion. The electrical components like the switch and wire seem to be of a good quality and should last.

Overall a it is a good deal especially compared to other similar products that are priced much higher

This lamp, like so many cheaply-made products from China, only _resembles_ the product you want. It does produce light, and it can be adjusted to shine it where you want. However, the bulb is NOT a screw-in CFL, the switch is in the cord, and the overall build-quality seems awfully low.

Update: May 28 Dead now, lamp just flickers. Ballast must be shot. $23/5 months is about $4.50 a month. Pretty darn sad.

These little lights are adorable. They are quite small little flowers. The purple is bright and vibrant. But they burn through batteries like you wouldn't believe. Brand new out of the package energizer AAs lasted ONE DAY! If that. I hung them in my toddler's room and left them on over night. I went into her room the next morning thinking my husband shut them off. NOPE. They sucked all the juice out in around 12 hours. So if you plan on leaving them on for a lengthy amount of time. FORGET IT. Get those little mini tea lights or something. These lights? Not worth it.

When I saw the lights on line I thought they were perfect for my wedding. Unfortunately the light color is deceptive cause its not nearly a purple. It reflects a very light lavender. Almost white with a hint of lavender. I needed the color it advertises. The lights themselves were pretty so I will use them but am very disappointed with the color. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Dont buy anything until your 100% positive on the product.

Bright lights that I thought looked enough like snowflakes that I used them for a Christmas play. The picture shows the lights as the color actually looks. There are similar lights available in local home stores, but the strands are much shorter.

I only gave them four stars because I didnt actually use them yet, but I did turn them on right after they were delivered to me to make sure that every light worked. I was pleasantly surprised to see how bright they were because of previous reviews. The packaging could have been a lot better, but would I definitely give it one thumb up.

This is, without question, the best lamp I have ever had for close up work, crafting and reading. I can adjust it to just about any height and angle. My only regret is that I didn't find this lamp sooner!

pros: really nice heavy base, sleek look

cons: the top joint loosens up very quickly from the wieght of the reflector and you cannot tighten it by hand. You have to use a flat head screwdriver and you have to be careful not to strip the plastic bolt. The quality of the light is overrated! This bulb flickers more than I've ever seen.

For this price, I would certainly not recommend this product to anyone. You can find many similar work lamps with nice heavy bases and the much more versatile type a bulb socket. You can get just as good or even better quality light from a daylight spectrum cfl or led bulb. Ottlite also offers their own brand of cfl bulbs which I currently use in my tattoo studio. I recommend those.

this is another poorly made lamp with critical flaws. The big flaw with this lamp is the crane arm. The arm itself is solid but the joints where the lamp bends are seriously weak and no matter how much you tighten the elbow knobs the crane arms fold with just a mild touch...

I would not recommend this lamp or the Koncepts Z lamp...Both of this lamps are very poorly designed

This pendant is beautiful and seems very well made. However, the color was not what I was expecting from the pic online (it's so hard to tell for sure) ... it's slightly more 'lime' than it appears online. This, unfortunately, made it so it wouldn't blend as well as expected in my kitchen so I am returning. Am considering re-buying in the clear seeded glass or mercury glass, but will take my time to be sure. These pendants are also fairly large -the description/measurements listed are accurate, but just wanted to point that out in case someone is expecting this to be a 'mini' pendant, which it is not.
