This is a very pretty fixture, has a mid-century look, but the glass part of the pendant we received was defective. We weren't able to get it straight. After sending a picture to Philips they agreed the glass was "off" and had us return it to Amazon. Amazon didn't have anymore in stock so we had to go with a different fixture.

It gets hot and sticky fast indoors when we lose power here in the subtropics. This sturdy fan, with its three wide blades at an overall 10" diameter, moves more air on low than my 10" O2 Cool fan does on high, and it's so soothingly quiet! Ahhhh...

Its oscillation range is fairly limited, but definitely enough to keep me comfortable while I'm moving around in a room like the kitchen, especially on high, it's a blast! When the power goes, I carry the fan with me by its fold-down handle from room to room. It's a must for the bathroom counter. In fact, that's where I "store" it, plugged in and charging, even though it's fairly large. It's substantially built, measuring 19 1/2" x 15" with a 12" x 6" footprint.

I haven't tested the battery to its limit. Luckily, the power has returned fairly quickly during the couple of outages we've had since I got it. The real test will be when the summer storms come (and we're not going anywhere near that H-word). But I have been running the fan with the included AC adaptor/charger, just for the sheer pleasure of it.

To extend the battery run time, I got a second Gama Sonic 6V 4.5 Ah rechargeable battery from Home Depot online. (Be sure to get the Gama Sonic battery intended for this fan. The Rhino battery listed above does NOT fit I know, I tried it.) The fan comes with one battery, but is designed to hold two. The specs say it runs for 3 to 4 hours on one, 7 to 8 hours on two. We'll see. I'm ready.

The controls (3 sliding buttons and 2 radio dials) seem sturdy. In fact, there is nothing flimsy about this fan. And the radio reception was a pleasant surprise it even pulls in the weak signal from the local NPR station.

I ordered the fan from an external website, Improvements, via the link provided by Amazon Rechargeable Fan with Radio Improvements. The company shipped immediately, and the fan arrived in four days, ready to go right out of the box. With the steamy summer already here, I just ordered a second one. I love this fan!

I bought this fan because excess heat can be a health problem for myself and my dogs. There have been so many storms with power loss this summer and afterwards even if we don't lose power, the electric company shuts off our power to repair the other lines. Now I don't have to worry about the loss of air conditioning and I don't even have to search for the radio. Amazon was the place to search for a fan this large without having to go from store to store. And we received it almost immediately! Thanks!

I live in a country where the local power goes out frequently for severl minutes (to a few hours) for load sharing in the summer months... this fan has made that seem to all go away. Especially if the power goes out in the night. The stock battery is good for 2 hours off of a full charge and if you spring to an additional battery thats 4hrs right there. I love this fan.

Very nice lamp considering the price and design. The design is really eye catching and I get a lot of good comments about its looks. I think it would be difficult to find a lamp with such a unique design at an affordable price anywhere but Amazon.

I give it only four stars because the quality is medicore. The resin base on mine is not quite symmetrical and the whole lamp is a slightly crooked. The light bulb socket was slightly bent on the one I received. However, you would have to look very close to notice any of these flaws.

Also note that the lamp is much darker than most items listed as oil rubbed bronze. It is almost black.

Overall, glad I bought it.

This brushed nickel lamp is a hefty almost 3 pounds. I like the look for my industrial look desk. It is a good desk height lampjust over 2'.

The company's photo that is on the Amazon site does not represent the more shiny actual brushed nickelwhich I much prefer to the picture.

I like the lamp shade, it looks like shantung silk... until you turn on the 60 watt bulb. I switched it out and used a 25 watt bulb which is much more attractive. Unfortunately the shade arrived cracked. They have a 1-800 number that I will be calling sometime Mon. through Fri., 9 AM. -5PM EST I called them and they were very polite, very helpful and will be sending me a replacement with turn around time of less than a day! I am very impressed with their customer service.

The price is very good for a sturdy attractive lamp that comes with a shade.

(So sorry about that sideways video I could not get my computer to rotate it)

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I love this lamp. It's pretty AND it's functional, and like other reviewers have stated, it's much prettier in person. It has a small footprint ~ less 6" in diameter, so it doesn't take up a lot of space, which is great because I'm using it on my worktable where I need to spread out my art supplies. It's very sturdy, and I can use the bottom to display a few small items (the circle base).

I like that it's tall 27" and has a very pretty (and slim) shade. The design is interesting but also simple, and the brushed nickel is very pretty, but not terribly shiny / distracting. The lamp is packed well with the minimal amount of cardboard needed. Also, it does not need a special bulb a regular 60w works just fine.

On another note, there was a slight problem with the first lamp I received. I contacted the company, who provided outstanding customer service and got it fixed.

Recommended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My dictionary defines the word "eclectic" as a mixture of various styles. That's a fair description of the South Beach table lamp, both in appearance and functionality. At almost 27 inches high, it's tall enough for a living room end table, and with a base only 6 inches in diameter, it will fit nicely on a crowded nightstand. And it would look good in either location, with its unusual but attractive silvery brushed metal appearance. The lampshade is a slightly off-white fabric that diffuses the light very nicely. I used a regular 60-watt light bulb (not included), but since the lampshade is supported on its own frame and doesn't sit on the bulb, I also tried a 29-watt CFL bulb, which worked fine.

The lamp on/off switch is on the bulb holder, about 18 inches above the surface that the lamp rests on. There's no problem with that, although if the lamp was used on a bedside nightstand, a rocker switch or pressure switch in the base might be a bit more convenient.

The only assembly required was to insert the metal lampshade support into two grooves in the light bulb receptacle unit, then drop the lampshade onto a screw on the top of the support, tighten a round nut, and that was it about thirty seconds. Having assembled lamps that almost required an electrician to thread wires through tiny openings, I appreciated this.

I really like this lamp. It's attractive, it's versatile enough to use almost anywhere a lamp is needed, and the size and shape make it portable enough to move around the house very easily.

It's a nice heavy lamp base and looks great on my bedside table, however the shade arrived slightly damaged. It's still a great value for the money. Be careful of the delicate shade or a replace it with one you prefer!

Unique design and good quality materials used. However, it does not deliver in terms of brightness and had to return it. It would be a good reading lamp but don't expect it to brighten up even a part of a small bedroom. 4-5 of these might do it in a small bedroom. I really liked the design and uniqueness of this lamp and was ready to order tall floor version for living room and another small one for the bedroom but can't justify the price for the lumens you get. Looking forward to 2nd generation of it using newer, brighter LEDs if they ever make one. More expensive coral lamp from qisdesign supposed to be brighter but looking at pictures online it does not seem that much better.

This light is pretty much perfect. It lets you touch each lighting piece and turn each one on and off individually. This is a very cool design that lets you have different lighting settings in a very neat way. At night, I leave one or two keys on to give me a night light. Impresses everyone. Worth the money!

I bought 6 of these to attach to my deck. They have now gone through a winter, spring showers, hot summer, and monsoon season. The strings have loosened up VERY slightly but they are still holding the cans filled with oil perfectly.

I have had them for almost a year now and I would expect them to last for at least another 2 years before it comes to possibly have to replace them but I might be able to save the money and fix them up myself.

They are not all perfectly perpendicular to the base but to me that just adds character. They arn't so far off that it's ugly or can't stand correctly.

In the end I gave them a 4 star rating only because they are cheaply made in, of course, China but are still worth it since they are "cheap".

I would recommend these to anyone who wants a cheap easy way to spice up their patio or deck.

I purchased two of these from Amazon. Both of these torches barely stood on their own...the base was warped and turned. I returned them both and got replacements. The replacements are fine. I thought the vessel would hold more fuel then it does. It holds about 6-8 oz. I'm constantly refilling them. The wick that came with these is great! It's a nice slow, even burn.

I bought three of these pendants to be placed over a vanity in my remodeled bathroom. When I opened the box and took out the light, I wondered whether the glass would be too thick for the light to show through. I was wrong. The light does glow very nicely through the glass, which highlights the beautiful, blue color. I used three pendants over a five foot vanity that has a black/silver granite top and a huge silver framed mirror between the vanity top and the bottom of the pendants. The effect is stunning. At the last minute in the remodeling process, I decided to put these pendants on a dimmer switch. It was a good move. You get an entirely different look when the lights are dimmed.

Nice light and design. Great on my small home desk.Does what is says it does.

On the down side the light will break easily if you try and adjust it too hard.

You can't twist the light head and make it line up straight. You have to twist the

whole light so it's in a straight line. I guess I'm trying to say it's not easily

adjustable. Hope it holds up and it will be worth the money for sure.

I have this light in my office at work. I work in a cubicle setting with fluorescent lights. I had my overhead lights turned off and just use this as my light source. It gives off great light. and living in Maine, with minimal sunlight during the winter, my moods seem better too.

The design of this lamp is a bit awkward. You use screws at each joint of the lamp to hold it in position. Over time, the lamp tends to lean. I wish the on/off switch wasn't at the back of the light, it would have been better placed at the base of the lamp, which would probably have made the overall structure of the lamp stronger & more stable.

That being said, it's a lower priced lamp than others I was searching for & it does the job without looking too shabby. Recommended for dorms or apartment living.

I ordered this lamp for my brother-in-law. I was a little worried at first because I had never really ordered anything like in on Amazon before and didn't want it to show up and be way smaller than it looked or to end up looking really cheap. Well it arrived at my brother-in-law's house and he opened it up and loved it! A few months later when I went to visit him I went into his room to check it out.
