This lamp looked much better on the website than when it arrived. Its completely flimsy and extremely bright. I bought this for my massage office thinking it would be a nice, warm, glow in the corner but, its like a spotlight! If you are looking for soothing lighting, this is not the lamp for you! This lamp seems like it would break extremely easily. I am pretty bummed about paying so much for something so cheaply made! Next time I'll go with something more durable.

The lamp is not sturdy, but with a dimmer socket in place, it is an attractive way to light a room. I have several at home. It is easy to put together. It has it switch on the cord which makes it a bit difficult to reach if the cord is directly falling down behind a table where the lamp is situated.

I actually got this as a gift. It was gorgeous for about a week. Then lost two of the colors. So I wouldn't hurt the feelings of the person who gave it to me, I went out and bought a second one. It too lasted only a short time before losing most of the colors. You can't even switch out the bulbs! I am really disappointed, because it started out being exactly what I wanted. This company must make junk. Sad. I too now have a metal paperweight.

Title pretty much states it all. Within a couple days of purchase, the 2nd mode (phase mode) stopped working.

The only somewhat good thing I can say about the product is that it makes a good paper weight more than a lamp.

Very simple. This lamp looks great when it's turned on, but that's where the problem starts. Second time I turned it on, the color changing setting didn't work anymore. Fourth time I turned on the lamp, the solid display setting only worked when I pressed and moved the switch around to find a spot that there wasn't a short. I did return it with no problems, but won't get another as there seems to be a fairly consistent quality issue. Disappointing.

I have to admit I was surprised by how beautiful this turned out to be. It was super easy to set up and was much fluffier than I thought it would be. The colors are gorgeous and I leave it on all the time because it's so pretty. I've had several fiber optic lamps (all the way back to when the fibers were made of glass) and I would put this right up there among the good ones!

I got this lamp about a week ago and the function that allows the lamp to change colors

already only works periodically. This lamp is too expensive to be failing after only having

it for a week. I have purchased hundreds of items from Amazon over the years and this

is only the second time I have ever left negative feedback about an item. I recommend going

with the cheaper battery operated version of this product considering my experience.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm going with four stars for now, to be downgraded later if the quality turns out to be poor. For now, I'd say this is about what you'd expect for twenty or thirty bucks. I would have loved something like this for my big study desk when I was a college student.

I really like the versatility of this lamp. You can set the arm at a lot of different heights, and the housing that holds the bulb swivels up and down and around to just about any angle. The base is very heavy, so you don't have to worry about the lamp falling over. Just be sure to turn the knobs VERY tightly when you set the arm where you want it. Otherwise the whole thing collapses on itself.

Another nice feature is that the lamp swivels on its base, so you can turn it to wherever you need light without moving the whole lamp. You can also clamp the lamp to your table rather than using the base. The clamp is provided, but you have to mess with it to get it put together correctly. The way they put it together to ship it is not the way you'll use it.

I wish the cord were longer. The directions say you can use an extension cord, but I'm always wary when using a light fixture of indeterminate quality, cheaply made in China. I'm also not particularly fond of the on/off switch on the cord. It's more like a wheel than a switch, and doesn't seem like it will hold up well.

The lamp uses a 40 watt bulb. Right now I'm cautiously using a 60 watt bulb, but I don't recommend doing that over the long term, because it could be a fire hazard. I just haven't had a chance to buy any 40 watt bulbs yet.

Overall, a decent enough product for the price. I don't know yet about its longevity, but it does come with a one-year limited warranty. I'll report back if the whole thing falls apart on me or quits working.

It's a good deal. The base is very heavy, thus the lamp can stretch forward and it's still stable with 45 degree inclination. The changeable design makes it convenient to either put on the table or clip to the edge of table, window etc. The only thing I am not satisfied is no bulb included.

I got this lamp for our computer desk. It's got some weight to it, and seems well made. The bottom of the lamp has felt, so it's won't scratch any surfaces. The shade is a nice true bronze color. Its a nice addition to any home.

This is a small lamp, but appears well made. It takes only a 25 watt bulb so it doesn't give out a lot of light but it looks very warm when it is on. It fits in with the Mission style I was going for.

I wanted a little table lamp for my Bonus Room. This is perfect. I borrowed different table lamps from my bedroom and office and put them in the bonus room just to see what they would look like but they were too bright. I was looking for a warm feel, not too bright, and not so dark like a night light either. This was perfect, it gives the room a lovely homey feel with an nice Ember glow and the Lamp also contrasts nicely with the Earth tone furnishings I have in this room.

I just got the pink version of this lamp last night and set it up. It was packaged securely in its box. It assembled easily without any tools being needed. Everything just screws together by hand.

One of the coolest things about this lamp that is unadvertised is how the switch works. It has three positions. Click it once and all five lights come on. Click it again and three go off, leaving two lights on. Click it again and the two lights go off and the other 3 come on. One more click and everything's off. It's a nice alternative to a dimmer switch.

You can put the colored shades on the lamp in any positions you want. They easily are removed but are securely fastened with a nut when in position.

Since there are five bulbs the shadows are softer.

The cord on this lamp is a little short. I didn't measure but I think it's around three or four feet long. The cord is white.

This product is listed as being five feet tall, which it appears to be. When I first saw it together I thought it looked a little short, not that it was shorter than five feet, but just that I didn't realize five feet was that short. I expected this to reach more to the ceiling which it does not. Still, once I got it together and turned on I think it's beautiful and I'm completely satisfied with how it lights up my room. I have it beside my bed with most of the lights pointing up but one pointing down as a reading lamp, which works quite nicely.

You won't be disappointed!

I actually almost purchased this lamp today from Target. I use to own this design in pink, but gave it away after 6 months. It was very cute and sturdy--VERY EASY to put together. My only problem with this particular item is the price! My local Target store here in Michigan is only asking $19.99 for it.

It is pretty, about 5 feet tall, you can have either all 5 or only 2 lights on at the same time (controled by the clicker on the switch). It was easy to assemble without tools. The main attraction for mother was that you can so easily control where the light shines. Sometimes by pointing one of the heads down she reads under it, other times with all shades up it just provides general room lighting.

My mother really liked this lamp, but I had to take it away from her to return to Big Lots due to a recall.

Big Lots stores recalled 43,700 floor lamps because wiring for the light sockets can become exposed which creates a shocking hazzard for the users. In addition, standard 40-watt bulbs, recommended for this lamp, can generate excessive heat and melt the plastic shades. The model number with this problem is G-1843-5, it is located underneath the lamp base. The Big Lots recall recommends that the consumers should immediately stop using the lamps and return them to the store for a refund. You can contact Big Lots at 866-244-5687.

The recall appears to effect only the lights sold in the Big Lots Stores, but because I always consult Amazon reviews no matter where I buy the products, I wanted to post this information here.

He is four years old, and breaks alot of stuff, so I didn't want anything expensive, but I needed a lamp that would give out enough light in his room, and at the same time look nice and dynamic in his room. I like the lamp; the lamps adjustable arms are great for directing light where you want it. My son loves it because it is a fun looking lamp. The package it came in was small, it was easy to assemble. I actually love the lamp.

I just checked out this floor lamp in the Target store. The blue version is not at all like the picture. The picture here looks like it had a brown and a green, two blues and a white. In reality, the shades are navy, medium blue, teal, light aqua and white.

First of all it looks awesome in our kitchen.

The bulbs are sort of special and one of them went out after a few months. I looked at it and one of the prongs was burned out. After cleaning the contacts, plugged it back in and it has been working ever since.

I would recommend it for a stylish look, however it can be a bit expensive for what it is, and the craftsmanship could be better.

I am very happy with the piano lamp. It's just what I was looking for. There were so many choices, but two of the features I'm really glad I decided on were being able to adjust the angle of the light, and the on/off switch on the side of the lamp. It looks lovely on our piano in our living room, and it works beautifully.

I bought 6 of these to attach to my deck. They have now gone through a winter, spring showers, hot summer, and monsoon season. The strings have loosened up VERY slightly but they are still holding the cans filled with oil perfectly.

I have had them for almost a year now and I would expect them to last for at least another 2 years before it comes to possibly have to replace them but I might be able to save the money and fix them up myself.

They are not all perfectly perpendicular to the base but to me that just adds character. They arn't so far off that it's ugly or can't stand correctly.

In the end I gave them a 4 star rating only because they are cheaply made in, of course, China but are still worth it since they are "cheap".

I would recommend these to anyone who wants a cheap easy way to spice up their patio or deck.

I purchased two of these from Amazon. Both of these torches barely stood on their own...the base was warped and turned. I returned them both and got replacements. The replacements are fine. I thought the vessel would hold more fuel then it does. It holds about 6-8 oz. I'm constantly refilling them. The wick that came with these is great! It's a nice slow, even burn.

I bought this lamp because it was like one my gramma had in the hallway. The colors on this product are vibrant and room changing. However, the fit between the finial and the shade is not perfect and so not tight and one of the bulb holders is a bit below the shade. It is still an excellent buy, we'll wrapped and intact. I enjoy it every time the lamp is lighted.

Nice light and design. Great on my small home desk.Does what is says it does.

On the down side the light will break easily if you try and adjust it too hard.

You can't twist the light head and make it line up straight. You have to twist the

whole light so it's in a straight line. I guess I'm trying to say it's not easily

adjustable. Hope it holds up and it will be worth the money for sure.

I have this light in my office at work. I work in a cubicle setting with fluorescent lights. I had my overhead lights turned off and just use this as my light source. It gives off great light. and living in Maine, with minimal sunlight during the winter, my moods seem better too.

The design of this lamp is a bit awkward. You use screws at each joint of the lamp to hold it in position. Over time, the lamp tends to lean. I wish the on/off switch wasn't at the back of the light, it would have been better placed at the base of the lamp, which would probably have made the overall structure of the lamp stronger & more stable.

That being said, it's a lower priced lamp than others I was searching for & it does the job without looking too shabby. Recommended for dorms or apartment living.
