I have these in my master bath because I was looking for something alittle out of the ordinary. They are very attractive. Note they do not take regular light bulbs which for some people may be an inconvenience. I purchased two three bulb fixtures and one two bulb fixture it is a very large bathroom. Item description is not correct on the bulb size. The instructions with the lamp say 60W max (or 13W CF), not 100W. There is a concrete weight within the base but the bottom edge of the concrete is visible when the lamp is on the table. The concrete has been painted black but it is definitely noticable and detracts from the appearance. Either the concrete weight should have been thinner or the metal lamp base deeper so that it covered it completely. Also, the item description does not mention that the switch for the lamp is on the cord, rather than a typical lamp switch up near the bulb. It is also odd that there is almost 2 feet of cord between the lamp base and the cord switch. With the lamp on a table, the switch is almost on the floor. The lamp is decent but probably not worth the price. I may end up sending it back.

This lamp is unique and very pretty. It can go well with either a traditional or slightly modern decor. There are three settings: night light only, main light only, or both. The night light is just that -it provides a soft hue of light (and looks very pretty when lit). In the picture, the dark bronze portions of the shade look like metal, however I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they, too, are stained glass. I highly recommend this lamp. It is truly beautiful! My Mom liked mine so much that I'm getting her one for Christmas.

Even with the challenges after Blizzard Charlotte, my replacement shades arrived promptly. I love tyhese shades even though they are quite fragile. I have had to replace two of them in my large lamp. It is helpful to have extras on hand in case breakage occurs again. It is not the shades that are the problem wiith my lamp; it is a design flaw in one of the shade holders that has made the glass shade unstable and easily broken.

These beautiful replacement shades arrived more quickly than expected. Packed very well no breakage whatsoever :-) I have ordered replacement shades in the past only to find they were much lower quality then the orginals these are every bit as lovely as the originals. I could no longer match my amber and purple the lamp came with so I ordered 14 of these, my lamp requires 12, just so I would have extra matching shades on hand just in case.

These are high quality, well made, and beautiful :-) super happy!

My lamps arrived after 16 days and the shades were damaged (both). Also, those shades look too big to me, it covers the ball underneath. Lamps are really big, but they look nice, and I like the bottom part more, the wood oval looks cool in the bedroom and matches to my furniture. Warm color wood plus modern look. I just hope they will replace the shades and I will get them in a good condition, otherwise, I will return them back.

This is a small lamp that puts out 3 different light settings. It doesn't take up much room on the night stand. It's not hard to assemble it either. I would recommend it.

Just today I received my black,Ledu L745BK Fluorescent Swing Arm Magnifying Lamp and I am happy as a Lark! I'd bought the same Ledu light some 25 yeqrs ago, in white, and after years of heavy service the plastic lens mounting clamps deteriorated. Fortunately, I located the Ledu Mfg. name and Model # and Amazon had one in stock. It's quite an amazing device and I just don't fathom how some other reviewers felt the device was poorly constructed! It's nearly all metal, has a vigorous heavy duty clamp and additional electrical 3-prong outlet at the base for computer or typewriter. There are 4 heavy-duty jointed segments with swivels that can be tightened to maintain its stance. The 5 inch biconvex lens and 22 Watt circular fluorescent tube provides ample illuminated magnification for diverse uses: in my case for forensic examination of photographs & documents, but also for checking microcircuitry on computer components, repair of jewelry items, watch bands, etc. When not in use it easily swings out of the way. I also find it very useful for examination of cuts, bruises and facilitates the removal of splinters ( I am a physician).

The improvements I noted over that of my previous light is that this lamp has more spectral white, and it lights immediately, no longer in need of holding the button down for a few seconds.

My biggest complaint is definitely with the strength of the c-clamp style base and the post that is used to hold the lamp in the clamp. Plastic and metal combination are pretty flimsy. It's not a great fitment either and is shaky, flexible, and a seems a bit weak and fragile. I've got to remind myself not to grab and pull it from a folded, resting position too quickly as it's likely to bend or break under the pressure. Except for this short-coming, the rest of the lamp works well.

Initially, I was well satisfied with this lamp. At first glance it wasn't quite as well constructed as the previous swing arm lamp I got in the late 90s, however, it worked just as well.

However, I began to notice some flickering, and finally, and today it just stopped working. I played around a bit with the bulb, but got nothing. However, after disassembling the case around the circuit board in the light fixture, I found what appears to be a burnt out capacitor (a CD11G 15uf 250V 105C made in China capacitor). I'm pretty sure it's the culprit since there's some brown markings on the plastic casing and on the capacitor itself, while the identical capacitor next to it looks fine.

Needless to say, I'd expect more than 2 months of life for a new lamp. This seems like a case of low quality materials to me.

Got the lamp but no mount, after alot of emails, phone calls and hassle returned lamp. The company ignored me after that...no refund, no replacement lamp, no communication worth a damn. Amazon.com looked out for my satisfaction though and refunded my money which i eventually applied to the purchase of another lamp from a different company. Alot of hassle around christmas time.

This is an investment that will pay for itself very quickly. I read a review earlier that the plastic clamp doesn't hold the rest of the lamp very well. BULL. This thing clamps nice and solid. I have a desk about 1.5" thick and the only time this lamp shakes is when I'm slamming the desk.

If you do any kind of tedious work that requires good lighting that's easily manipulated, DON'T THINK -JUST BUY. You will not be disappointed with this. Great BUY!!!

Cheap Extra Bright Clip-on Light (Kindle Version) Silver

I have had this light for about two weeks and I really love it. I replaced a clip on light with a single bulb that started having problems maintaining brightness and the flex arm was starting to droop.

This light has a much sturdier flex arm and being able to vary the light intensity is a very welcome addition. The old single bulb light worked pretty well with my Kindle but with print books I was constantly repositioning the head to get light where I needed it. This new light has multiple bulbs controlled through a dimmer and provides a good lateral spread of light. That means that once I clip the light into position I don't have to move it again. Even though there is a good spread on the light pattern it does not intrude into my bedmates area and distrub or keep her awake.

In addition to the clip the lamp has a sturdy and flat enough base that it may easily be used as a "table" lamp. I have taken it into the bathroom in the middle of the night and it provides sufficient light that there is no need to blind myself by turning on the overhead lights.

It is a simple but extremely well designed multi-purpose light that will easily fit many functions.

I use this light at my DJ shows to help put a spotlight on one thing but not draw attention away from the show. The light brightness is variable which made it a perfect fit for me. After doing alot of research to keep from buying a light that would just break after the first use, I feel I bought the perfect one and I've yet to have any issues.

I got my levitron lamp 4 days ago. Went to youtube to see how other people got the magnet to levitate. It was a little frustrating at first, trying to get the magnet to levitate, but after about five minutes of saying "this is B@#! S^*!@" I got it floating in midair. very cool really. The top started to spin slowly, turned on both sets of LED lights and then, found there was no way the lamp provided enough light to read by, the main reason I bought it. So, if you want to use it for a cool conversation piece or mood lighting or something else, it's great. But if you need a reading type lamp.... nevermind!!! I am returning it today. I also found some scratches on the base of the lamp, called the seller and was told when the unit was returned they would check the damage and reimburse the shipping cost. ($26.00) A few days later got e-mail refusing to re-pay me the shipping. So, they send me damaged goods I return it and they think it's justified to refuse to reimburse me. That is total B@#$ S^%^#

I bought this lamp because it was like one my gramma had in the hallway. The colors on this product are vibrant and room changing. However, the fit between the finial and the shade is not perfect and so not tight and one of the bulb holders is a bit below the shade. It is still an excellent buy, we'll wrapped and intact. I enjoy it every time the lamp is lighted.

I have always love the Ottlite because the light doesn't hurt your eyes like a lot of white lights out there that are desk size.

Ottlites are usually really expensive at the craft store for at least twice as much as what Amazon is selling them for (for the same model lamps).

So the price (when I purchased them) were great!

The lights is white and doesn't hurt your eyes.

Now on to the bad stuff:

I wish that the light was either brighter or longer (sideways) to cover more workspace. I ended up having to purchase 2 of these lights to cover my small little desk space (about 2 feet deep by 4 feet long table).

One light was not giving me enough light source that I need. The lights do not hurt my eyes after working under it for a long time. But because it wasn't long enough, and it was a small desk light, it wasn't lighting enough surface areas for me.

The design is not very stable so it has fallen off my desk a few times. And each fall, the lamp would come to pieces. But the pieces do snap back together.

The pen holder area in the front area of the lamp is a joke. It is not deep enough to hold anything (not even a pen) very well. Because it was too shallow, my pens keep falling out. I don't keep anything in there but coins, and even those fall out.

Still is a great lamp because there is nothing out there that is better. Not the best, but this is all that I was able to find for the price.

I'm giving it 4 stars because it does what it is supposed to do and love that it doesn't hurt my eyes. But it doesn't deserve the 5 stars because it needs to be better built for quality and the light source should be longer to cover more work area space. And because I have to purchase 2 lights instead of just one to cover a small area.
