I wanted a decorative floor fan of high quality for my new home in Florida. I could find nothing very attractive locally, so opted to pay big bucks on this model. First, it was in a gazillion pieces and took me way too long to assemble for the price I paid. It should have been designed to put together in 5 minutes but clearly wasn't. Anyhow, once assembled it did look good and seemed to run fine. Used it for a week at night and one morning I discovered a piece of dark plastic lying on the floor at the base of the fan. Turned out to the the knob that is used to turn on/off the oscillating feature. It was clearly broken and had never (not once) been touched my me or my wife (no kids around here). Anyhow, it could not be fixed, short of super glue, which is ridiculous to consider for such an expensive floor fan. I returned it for a full refund. Ended up at Lowe's and found one equally attractive at half the price and I put the thing together in less than 10 minutes. Live and learn...

We were looking for an attractive pedestal fan that would not only replace our big white clunky hardware store bought one but would also go well with our furniture. This fan is not only attractive but produces a great breeze in all speeds and is wonderfully silent. Good hight (not adjustable), great construction and lovely neoclassic lines. Its dark cherry finish (over metal) makes it look great with dark wood furniture. So far best online purchase we have made this year.

This floor lamp is shorter than many floor lamps, making it perfect beside a bed or chair. I used it to replace a torchere that previously stood beside my bed. The old lamp threw more light, but was difficult to turn off from bed due to its height. This shorter lamp puts the pull chain (with attractive contemporary cube-shaped dangle) within easy reach. The light is less bright, but sufficient for bedtime reading, and creates a more peaceful bedtime ambience. It came with a 100 watt (equivalent) compact fluorescent soft white bulb. It is very attractive, with a fusion of contemporary and traditional style elements, just right for my eclectic design. Assembly was a snap. I marked it down to 4 stars rather than 5 due to a couple of minor manufacturing flaws. The underside of the base is covered in felt, a nice touch to protect the floor. However, the glue used to adhere the felt to the metal base was tacky, and the felt slipped right off the base when removing it from the packing box. I will look for a better adhesive to replace it, but in the meantime just tucked the edges of the felt up into the corners of the base underside, which will hold for now. Secondly, the top section of the vertical post (it is broken into 3 sections which screw together) had some slight corrosion on it, although the other two sections were finished perfectly. The flaws aren't bad enough to cause me to return the lamp. Altogether this is a great lamp practical and attractive. A perfect solution for my needs.

The three way switch in this lamp doesn't work properly with 3-way CFLs and runs incandescent 3-way bulbs noticeably dimmer than other three way lamps in the house. If it has any special bulb requirements that I'm missing, it's not listed in the manual. Running a straight 100W replacement CFL didn't work so well either, even on the third switch setting (which should drive a 100W bulb at full power) the light from the CFL was dull and flickered somewhat.

Other than the defective (or just poorly specked) socket it is a very attractive, well made lamp and shade that was very easy to setup. I like it and it looks nice in the room I have it in. Well made 3-way lamp sockets are available several places online for less than $10, rather than deal with a lengthy return process I've just ordered a better socket.

I was really surprised at what I got for what I paid. I wanted a nice light but didn't want to pay 300+. It's bigger then I thought it would be. The lamp shades are plastic but those are replaceable later if I feel the need. It has a small (maybe 3 inch) pull cord on one end. It has a push switch with a three prong plug also but the cord is a bit small so expect to use an extension cord if you're not going to wire into the ceiling. It doesn't weigh very much so a couple of hooks, drywall screws (anchors), or other typical drywall hanging hardware will do just fine. I went with 3 100 watt cfl builbs and that seems perfect. Anything less will probably seem dim.

I love the look of this light. It is much larger than I imagined but looks great over our pool table. My husband hard wired it so it operates with a light switch. It still has a switch on the cord for the option of turning it off or on. The only drawback was installation was very tedious and the lack of instructions no help at all. So... once you finally get it installed, you'll love it.

I came across Ott products a few years ago and was attracted by the claim by Ott that the light spectrum produced by the bulb is the closest to natural light and therefore more healthy (and producing less eye-strain) than more common incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.

I've since purchased Ott desk lamps and use them at my office and home, and I have Ott floor lamps in both places including by the bedside for reading at night. One of the desk lamps that I own is almost identical to this model.

In my experience over this period of several years I am convinced that the Ott bulbs do produce very natural lighting for comfortable reading and I am completely satisfied with them. I have also had no problems with any of my Ott products (2 desk lamps and 3 floor lamps), either with respect to the quality of the lamps or lifespan of the bulbs. (I therefore have no experience with Ott customer support because I have not had reason to make use of it).

(A comment regarding their customer support based upon my reading of other customer reviews here on Amazon. I have noticed that Ott customer support has individually responded via "comments" to many if not all of the negative customer reviews posted to their products here on Amazon, asking that the persons who have had a bad experience contact Ott so that their problems could be corrected. That is something that I have not noticed with other products and suggests to me that they are really paying attention to customer feedback and want to provide good customer support. Based on that I would expect problems to be handled by them in a very good way. It would be helpful if other Amazon customers who have initially had a bad experiences, but subsequently contacted Ott as the company has suggested, could provide an update to their reviews so that others can see how the issues were handled and hopefully resolved).

The only downside to these products as far as I am concerned is that the bulbs and lamps are made to fit each other and you therefore need to purchase replacement Ott bulbs, which of course are not cheap. I would not use them for every light in the house for that reason, but for those lamps that are primarily for reading, they are my preference.

I have found it difficult to quantitatively compare the Ott products to other lamps that make similar claims (Verilux being perhaps the main example). I have been unable to satisfy myself as to whether or not Ott is superior or even different from these others, and I do not have personal experience with any of the competitors to Ott. I do know that when I went to the Ott website to see what information was available on the light spectrum of the light produced by the bulbs, so that I could attempt to make a comparison of the light quality for the Ott bulbs vs their competitors, I could not find that information available from them (yes, I am an engineer). I also did not find such information on the Verilux website. If I am able to come across such a comparison, I will update this review to include it.

Very good lamps for reading use and I feel very comfortable in recommending them.

Firstly, I love how cheap this is, and I'm fine with it being all plastic because I accept that as being a part of how it can be so cheap.

Important Info not yet listed: The max wattage for the E12 bulbs this lamp accepts is 40 watts. I read this on its label but did not see it in the description.

Mini Review on main feature (the light color):

The shade on this lamp causes all light emitted to be red. It would be nice if they had a picture of a dark room being lit by it so people could see (perhaps I'll post one in the future). Also, the light emitted is not powerful enough to light a room. I like to think of it as a powerful night light. If you're close to the lamp, you can do some peaceful night reading. The red color is very relaxing. I've never bothered trying out different colors of light besides regular white light and I must say I find it very relaxing.

2 solvable issues:

Issue 1: There was a lot of heat on the top of the shade that rose up from my incandescent bulb. This can be solved by using a more efficient fluorescent bulb. They are easily found online or at Lowes & Home Depot.

Issue 2: The weight. This thing is extremely light weight. My lamp is on a desk with the cord hanging freely off the desk. Sometimes when I grab for the cord it will completely pull the lamp. I have to be aware of this to make sure the lamp doesn't slide off my desk! I plan to add some sort of weights to the lamp to fix this.

One Concern: It says this lamp has a dimmer feature? As far as I'm aware it's just a switch to turn it on and off. Granted I think it would be real silly to even need a dimmer feature for a lamp of this power, but I guess it would be cool to have. Really curious if there's something I'm missing, but I genuinely doubt there's a dimmer feature on this lamp.

Unless you are throwing a retro themed party and don't mind your room being red, don't buy this. I bought it thinking this would be durable (unbreakable) since it is plastic, and that IS the only benefit.

It lights up the room RED. Who wants a red room? And it's also very dim. We are using this as a night light now.

Design is clean and retro like. Shade is plastic and snaps on and off. Very strange lamp.

I have been trying to get lamps for my bedroom that provide adequate light for me for at least 2 years. I have tried many lamps and if I like their looks, they are never bright enough for me. These Park Madison lamps are nice looking and good value for their price. Although they probably are meant more for a living room, they look fine on my nightstands and more importantly provide low, medium and high lighting which works great for me. I haven't had them for more than a few weeks but so far I am very pleased with them. I will say that if you have small children or pets, you have to be cautious about them tipping over because although they are stable they are fairly light weight. I hope they hold up well because I don't want to have to think about lamps for a very long time.

The first set I received had the glass detail part broken on one. I sent it back thinking it was a fluke and just opened my second one (very carefully) and there is a tiny crack in the glass part of another one. Now I have to decide whether to keep them and hope it doesn't get bigger or ship them back yet again. I am not sure I would get the same ones again if they are that fragile. The glass seems to be as fragile as a light bulb. I will say they are beautiful and exactly the height I have been looking for which is part of while I am torn and gave them two stars instead of 1.

The lamp pair are exactly what I wanted and they are beautiful. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because when I removed them from the box, I thought the lamp shades were welded to the harp crooked but later realized you just have to apply some pressure to slide them back to the proper location for the shades to hang evenly.

Husband accidentally ordered 2 pairs instead of 1 pair but no problem as my Mom loved them so she gets the 2nd pair!

I typically do not write reviews but this recent purchase has me doing so. With that said, the House of Troy has done a great job in producing this hand crafted light. All components are well crafted and solidly built. The switch located on the base of the lamp is very nice compared to those with the wheel switch several feet down the electrical cord. We got these lamps to clip to bookcases on either side of our bed so we could read before going to bed at night. The color blends perfectly with our Espresso colored bookcases and headboard. Ordered this from the Amazon Warehouse where I saved some money because it didn't have the original box. When I ordered this my expectation was not really high, but needed it for a party! I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this was. I did replace the bulb because the included bulb did not work, and I put a 15 watt light in. (Not sure what the included bulb was)

We used it in a very large room, and I could have used two of them, but even the one put out a lot of colored light and it was so much fun. I would recommend it.

The light arrived and was missing a few crystals. I contacted the seller for a few replacements and was told "we are only an ecommerce company, we don't have parts". When I pressed them they then said, I was past the 30 days I had (it took me about 60 days before I opened the box and hung the light). They were no help at all. So I called the manufacturer (World Imports) and they ultimately offered to send me a few crystals. I had to push pretty hard though as they wanted to to return the light and reship another. Well, I had the thing hung already. Just a huge hassle. Also, the wire they provide to hang the crystals has to be rigged and bent. I ended up going to Michaels and buying an earring post and made my own. All that being said, I think the light is very pretty especially at $150. The one star is for the seller not standing behind their product.

I highly recommend this lamp if you are looking for an inexpensive desk lamp. It is solid and very well made, it has three levels of touch controlled light and the highest level is really bright and good for detail work. The lamp arm is adjustable up or down but not side to side. The base footprint is 5 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches front to back. The lamp is 16 inches high when set straight up and down. the light bar section is 14 inches long. The description called it a "Pure white light" but that must be referring to the led light color it sheds because its color is a black base with a silver grey arm and a dark top. It runs off 115vac using a plug in power converter that connects to the lamp using a 6ft cable on the back right side of its base.

This lamp has nice lines and look. The dimmable switch and articulating arm makes it good for reading or a subtle nightlight. Great value. It was delivered very quickly. One hint I wish the plug woud sit a little more flush to the wall outlet. I have the lamp plugged into an outlet behind a bookcase, and had to locate the bookcase a little further away from the wall than I would like. Maybe a lesson learned for future models. Have already recommended this product to others.

Updated: After 2 months the lamp no longer works, would not recommend

Well the lamp is bigger than I thought it would be at first so that was nice. The touch feature is also pretty cool, I mean its only saving you from pressing a button or switch but still its convenient.

The best part is how bright the light is, I was impressed. On its lowest level it is strong enough to light up my desk for homework with all the other lights off, and on its highest setting it actually lights up the room decently. You can also adjust (vertically) the light arm to increase or decrease the area that it covers.

Actually, upon further use there is another best feature in my opinion! I didn't know I could rotate the lamp like this until a few days after having it. You can move the top light bar so its a straight line up and down or rotate it to the sides or up and down! So the light can be facing straight up for some nice ambient lighting, straight down onto a paper for focused light in a dorm/shared room, etc.!

For the past 20 years I have been searching for just the right lamp for my desk, where I spend most of my waking hours. Sometimes I need a really good light for working, sometimes just enough to see my notes while playing a game. I've tried the usual gooseneck types and the ones that clamp. They all break within a year or so and ALL run much too hot, even when using LED bulbs.

Last week I was watching the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie and noticed the lamps on the bridge. Eureka, that is what I needed! So I did an image search on Google and found the lamp here, the LEDwholesalers 3-level Dimmable Touch Switch Folding LED Desk Lamp 6 Watt, Pure White 2403WH. It's perfect! Adjustable lighting, adjustable arms in multiple ways, the light is the blue/white that I require (yellow makes me sleepy), AND it's LED (we haven't used incandescent for many years and even fluorescent bulbs get quite hot). Of course I can't tell how long it will last as I just got it, but I will add a note to this post someday when/if it stops working.

I bought this lamp because it was like one my gramma had in the hallway. The colors on this product are vibrant and room changing. However, the fit between the finial and the shade is not perfect and so not tight and one of the bulb holders is a bit below the shade. It is still an excellent buy, we'll wrapped and intact. I enjoy it every time the lamp is lighted.
