I was impressed with the communication and the quick shipment, it arrived in time for Christmas.

I was not impressed with the fact that many of the glass panes were chipped and some were a hard fit while putting it together.

My daughter loves the lamp because of the horses and because of the touch feature, which is why I bought it. That made it all worth it and the chips somewhat easily overlooked. It was a gift from Santa so I very well couldn't send it back!

Very nice, and a real change from the usual desklamp. It's very pretty and goes well with an old world theme. The only issue I've found is keeping the arm firmly in place with the tightening flange.

At first I thought that the lamp couldn't be left in the straight position, but after a good tug, I was able to straighten it completely or swing it out. There were a couple of issues, however. When 150W incandescent bulbs are used, the bulb in the higher position sticks up above the glass. I had to put a 150W in the bottom holder and a smaller 100W bulb in the higher socket. The lamp is meant to hold two 150 W bulbs, so this is silly. A glass bowl that was a bit higher would have solved this. Also, a silver cap near the top is crooked. This part came preassembled and cannot be straightened. This is minor, however. If CFLs are used, the company recommends that they only be used on the high setting, so if you're planning to use those bulbs, be aware that you will not have the option of using a lower setting. The price at this site was the lowest I found for this lamp. I originally bought it at a local store for $179. Fortunately, I hadn't opened the box yet and was able to return it when I found the lamp on Amazon.

We were looking for a bright lamp and since they no longer sell 500W halogen lamps, this was the next best alternative. The lamp is attractive, in a coquettish way, and the light is bright (though not as bright as the stars deep in the heart of Texas) for a non-halogen lamp. I would recommend this product.

There always seems to be a spot in the kitchen where you need more light to work or read a recipe. This lamp does that and fits perfectly under my new cabinets (14" overall height) If you've been looking at accent lamps, you know it's hard to find one that takes a 60watt bulb...this one does! It's so much more appealing than a retina-frying spotlight-style lamp. And, it has a 2-position switch that allows for partial or full wattage. It lends a cozy glow to the room when used alone, too. The lamp is small but has a nice balance. The painted birds and berries are done in subtle shades with a rich texture. Can you tell I'm happy with it? Delivery was prompt and packaging was adequate.

I don't get as much natural light as I'd like so I decided to bring the outdoors indoors by letting nature dictate my decorating choices. I thought this lamp would add to that motiff from the look of it in the photos so I ordered it. It will be sitting on a dresser near a drape panel that reminds me of the banding around the lamp as well as the tree branches. The lamp is attractive and I like the fact that the way the bottom is made, the cord can be pulled through either of the four sides. The lamp shade is very attractive and expensive looking. This lamp is the perfect size for my purposes.

Two things to note however. It is listed in the description here as being 60 watt bulb compatible but there is a sticker on the bulb screw in place that clearly states NOT to exceed 40 watts. This was a disappointment since the shade is the clip on style (as opposed to the screw on fial style) so one has to use bulbs shaped like the old incandescent bulbs. I need to do further research as I think more traditional style energy efficient bulbs are being sold but so far all my energy saving bulbs are looped so I cannot use them in this lamp. I mention this so one can take both points into consideration when making a decision.

The final comment is about the banding around the lamp. The description does not say this lamp is hand painted so the fact that the pics are decals does not bother me. However, the banding was not applied as carefully as it should have been and does not meet properly. I finally decided to keep the lamp as I'm hopeful no one will notice but consumers need to stop doing this. As it becomes more and more likely that we'll be doing all our shopping on line (I practically already do!) so that we cannot see the product, then we have to consider that the "trouble" to send items back is more than compensated by the convenience of sitting at a computer to research thousands of items we couldn't find in stores even if we ran around all day! Just saying as I passed the lamp recently without my glasses and I saw the spot where the lines didn't meet but I did know the spot was there.

Overall it seems to be well made lamp, looks expensive and is attractive IMO. I'm glad I have it and it looks so nice on my smallish dresser. I'lll repost if it gives me any trouble as I bought another lamp last year that turned on six times, then froze! For now, this would be a five star item if it wasn't for the two items mentioned. Still four stars though.

Edited to add: after writing this review I went shopping for a shower curtain, right here at amazon.com of course. I found the Lenox Chirp Shower Curtain which looks beautiful. I'll review when I get it. It will be perfect for my nature theme and will pick up on this pretty lamp. These two items wouldn't please everyone but I'm going into 2013 happy!

This is a great extra feature for my older model, one-speed scrollsaw. There is a sticker on the box that says "2-step on/off" ... and at first I thought I bought the wrong thing. I had wanted the kind that you press your foot on to operate, and then it automatically turns off when you release the foot pressure. THIS IS NOT THAT TYPE OF FOOTSWITCH. (I think that's called a deadman switch). But, lucky for me ... I like this one better. I prefer to work standing up and be able to move around a little for a better view or grip ... which means I can't always keep my foot on the pedal.

This is the switch where you step on it once to turn it on, and it stays on. You have to click it again, in order to turn the power off. As it turned out, this works better for me. Either way, you can turn it on or off and keep your hands on your woodwork.

It would be great if I could get a variable speed foot switch that would allow me to speed up or slow down the blade as I worked. My Scrollsaw is a Delta 40-530, which has only one speed, which is pretty dang fast. (The saw is over 10 years old. 1/10 HP, 120 volts, 1.8 Amps). If anyone knows if a variable switch would allow me to slow the speed down, the way a sewing machine pedal works, I would really appreciate your advice in the comments. Thanks!

I have just returned this product. The switch was working well until, after less than a month of use, it quit. I took the unit apart and found that a tiny REALLY TINY white piece of plastic was what connected the top of the foot switch to the electrical device. It was the trigger that make the switch go on and off. That pice of plastic had broke. IF they had made the switch with a metal piece instead of plastic the thing might have lasted a lifetime. This will forever be a mystery to me. Why would a designer make a critical part that will take stress both small and plastic? Why not increase the diameter of the part (in this case very easy to do) and make it out of something that will last? The plastic part was about 1/16 of an inch square, maybe less. Why? A 1/4 inch piece of good plastic would probably last 10 years. A 1/4 inch piece of quality metal would last forever. What would that cost? Maybe another dollar or two max? Incredible.

The light construction of these switches is their Achilles heel. The press on press off version by design has the user tromping on the switch as opposed to merely pressing it. The switch is very easy to break. At great idea but it needs to be redesigned.

This is a simple review because it's a simple product. You plug any standard electrical plug (either grounded or not) into this pedal, and then plug the pedal's cord into the wall, and when you step on the pedal it turns your device on or off. It's perfect and I've used it for all sorts of projects. I think it was made for a Bridgeport machine or some other machine-shop device, but it works great for just about anything.

I highly recommend this lamp if you are looking for an inexpensive desk lamp. It is solid and very well made, it has three levels of touch controlled light and the highest level is really bright and good for detail work. The lamp arm is adjustable up or down but not side to side. The base footprint is 5 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches front to back. The lamp is 16 inches high when set straight up and down. the light bar section is 14 inches long. The description called it a "Pure white light" but that must be referring to the led light color it sheds because its color is a black base with a silver grey arm and a dark top. It runs off 115vac using a plug in power converter that connects to the lamp using a 6ft cable on the back right side of its base.

This lamp has nice lines and look. The dimmable switch and articulating arm makes it good for reading or a subtle nightlight. Great value. It was delivered very quickly. One hint I wish the plug woud sit a little more flush to the wall outlet. I have the lamp plugged into an outlet behind a bookcase, and had to locate the bookcase a little further away from the wall than I would like. Maybe a lesson learned for future models. Have already recommended this product to others.

Well the lamp is bigger than I thought it would be at first so that was nice. The touch feature is also pretty cool, I mean its only saving you from pressing a button or switch but still its convenient.

The best part is how bright the light is, I was impressed. On its lowest level it is strong enough to light up my desk for homework with all the other lights off, and on its highest setting it actually lights up the room decently. You can also adjust (vertically) the light arm to increase or decrease the area that it covers.

Actually, upon further use there is another best feature in my opinion! I didn't know I could rotate the lamp like this until a few days after having it. You can move the top light bar so its a straight line up and down or rotate it to the sides or up and down! So the light can be facing straight up for some nice ambient lighting, straight down onto a paper for focused light in a dorm/shared room, etc.!

For the past 20 years I have been searching for just the right lamp for my desk, where I spend most of my waking hours. Sometimes I need a really good light for working, sometimes just enough to see my notes while playing a game. I've tried the usual gooseneck types and the ones that clamp. They all break within a year or so and ALL run much too hot, even when using LED bulbs.

Last week I was watching the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie and noticed the lamps on the bridge. Eureka, that is what I needed! So I did an image search on Google and found the lamp here, the LEDwholesalers 3-level Dimmable Touch Switch Folding LED Desk Lamp 6 Watt, Pure White 2403WH. It's perfect! Adjustable lighting, adjustable arms in multiple ways, the light is the blue/white that I require (yellow makes me sleepy), AND it's LED (we haven't used incandescent for many years and even fluorescent bulbs get quite hot). Of course I can't tell how long it will last as I just got it, but I will add a note to this post someday when/if it stops working.

I purchased this product so I could turn on my living room light before I entered the house. Though it claims it will work up to 80' away, that must be an unobstructed path. It would work 10' away in the house, sometimes right outside the front door if you pointed exactly in the right spot. Very sporadic. If my garage door opener can work a 100' away, why can't they make lamp control work? I returned the product.

The product has a unique feature that allows you not only to turn lights on and off but also to dim lights. Unfortunately, it seems there is a quality control issue with the product. The unit I purchase never really worked even when holding the remote less than an inch from the receiver (also after replacing batteries for new ones). I guess that is why the entire line has been on clearance before. Hope Zenith improves the product for future releases as I still thing the dimming feature is worthwhile.

We recently expanded a screen porch and lightly furnished with a few party lights and a lamp. Problem is that at night, there is no switch to turn lights on/off; this is a great fix and is secure.

We can turn the lights on/off from inside the house which is especially helpful for the midnight bathroom run by the dogs.

What I thought was an added benefit (didn't know until we already purchased) was the dimmer feature so we can dim the lights to our liking.

This kit comes with one transmitter that is capable of driving two different devices, but only one receiver. Keep this in mind!

I previously used the Lutron MIR-603THW-WH, but had to "downgrade" to this when I moved because the wall switch doesn't control the socket I want. So this item is pretty straightforward, but I really hate it. The remote is pretty junky, the buttons don't work very reliably (maybe 6 out of 10 pushes). The "dim" function on the remote steps through discrete levels 1-5 instead of smooth transition, but if you switch on/off it doesn't remember your dimmer level. Also, there is no transition off, it's just abruptly off. And finally, the device doesn't accept a 3-pronged plug (w/ ground) which makes it difficult to run an extension cord. This device may work for someone else, but I'm going to keep searching.

I purchased a few of these over 10 years ago and they still work great! Unlike other systems that come preset to a frequency YOU can customize these units for any frequency! They have "dip switches" so when we recently bought more units and we can simply set them to correspond with our 10 year old units!! The kids have them in their rooms on separate switch settings so they dont interfere with the downstairs lights either.

We have a number of decorative lamps and display cabinet lights that would take forever to switch on manually. All we need to do is hit the button and it lights up or turns off all 12 at once! We have the second circuit set up for our dining room displays/accent lighting so when company comes over we can enter an entertaining mode immediately from the same controller 20 feet away.

The Dimmer function does NOT work with regular CFL's but does with new dimmable CFL's. The dimming feature DOES work with Halogen display lighting (someone mentioned in another review of similar product that it didnt).

Truly a 5 star product!

This is such a beautiful lamp, and it is very fragile. When you first receive this product, you first need to assemble it which is very easy and a breeze! My mom loves owls so she had to get this wonderful lamp. The only down side, which I'm sure is not the sellers fault, is that one light bulb was broken when it arrived. It was easily replaced but it's still a let down. All in all I do not regret this purchase one bit!

I had seen the lamp at a department store and looked online and found it much cheaper at Amazon. The lamp box arrived like it had been on a shelf for years, very, very dusty. After unpacking, i found three or four of the circles in the box, no longer stuck to the lamp. Rather than send it back, I used hot glue to glue them back where they came off. After repairing, I have it in my wet bar area and it looks very nice.

Pricey, but as a bachelor even I know a nice lamp when I see it. I can understand the price when I look at the work that went into making it. It might not be original Tiffany, but it doesn't have that made with baked pellet assembled in china look either. (I didn't check to see where it's made).
