Very nice, and a real change from the usual desklamp. It's very pretty and goes well with an old world theme. The only issue I've found is keeping the arm firmly in place with the tightening flange.

I received this lamps yesterday. They were very easy to assemble. They say the shades have a suede finish, was disappointed that they were plastic. The table lamps are a nice height, but the floor lamp could be a few inches taller. The color and metal matches my dining room chairs perfectly.

I was nervous to buy this because I couldn't find any reviews anywhere online, but I took the plunge. It's a great desk lamp for the price. It's sturdy and doesn't feel cheap. The light is very bright and the organizational compartments fit my needs well. I'm able to store paperclips, post-it notes, pens, highlighters, scissors, and tape easily. My wife purchased this here on Amazon because my 20 something year old gooseneck halogen desk lamp with organizer recently died on me. This was the only model I could find that had a tape dispenser as part of the organizer. The photo looked like just what I wanted. It works great as well, however, the on/off switch is a big bulky computer mouse shaped thing about 12 inches down the cord from the lamp. This means it needs its own piece of real estate on my desk. My previous light had the switch built into the base adjacent to the base gooseneck.

As much as I like the storage and the lamp, I am sending it back because I just don't have a place for the switch.

Cute lamp but its tiny. From base to the top of the panel is 8 1/2 inches tall. The panel itself is 6 in tall by 5 in wide. The lamp only has the one panel. It comes with a bulb.

This lamp is basically a gift I gave to myself for my end table by my bed. It is as beautiful as you see in the picture. It brightens my room, and I love it. It doesn't give bright enough light to read much, but it's so pretty.

The light bulb candle is a little crooked inside and the lightbulb hits the sie of the glass at the top so it is not as well made as I was hoping for , but not worth the hassels of returing and the expenses of postage.

This was a purchase for my college freshman. I was surprised to learn that the room they hadwhile very new and ranked highly on the college review boards only had one large wall light for the room they shared. Lots of window light but task lighting was non existent. This was purchased for her desk and I looked at many types of lights. She tends to be very sensitive to lighting and often prefers a dimmer environment to work in stating that the brighter light settings bother her. I chose this lamp because of the variability of settings and the slim design to maximize space. I also chose it to have the docking/charging station fo her phone as the constant looking for a charger means I may not be able to stay in touch! I was a bit concerned over the cost and buying sight unseen sending to Boston from Texas. But.... She loves it! The lighting options were perfect and although the speaker for playing music is not optimal she loves the lamp. Pricey purchase-but perfect for her.

Nice LED table lamp. Love different shades and pretty bright when you are reading and studying.Stylish and folds well. The cons are i can't increase the length as it blocks my imac. The i phone charging doc is nice and you can listen to music but has no stereo effect and is not of good quality.

I've been using this item for about 10 days. I bought an Envelopp battery charger with 4 AA batteries to get it working.

The charge lasts at least three days, using three hours eachnight.

The light is bright and enough to illuminate the laptop while I work in bed and the lights are off for my husband to sleep.

For those who want to buy it, I suggest you locate the same item with a cord supplied so that the batteries can be kept to use when needed away from an electric supply. It is available on Amazon.

Just received my order yesterday and this lamp is doing what it promised... so far. It shines bright and is adjustable for many uses where light is a necessity. I have it on my computer desk and it looks great next to my computer and printer, if that is important to anyone reading this review. Its light weight so it can be taken anywhere as a portable light for camping, traveling, etc. I can imagine it will be handy the next time we lose our electric power. I have bought 3 of these for my house since I don't want too much light at night and this lamp is producing enough light for reading and serve as a nightlight too (it is bright in a complete darkness). The 3 AA batteries can last mostly 12-15 hours wihout reducing the light output. After that, light may be weakened but a compeltely drain-out batteries may take around a full day. I have a bunch of AA rechargeable so I use them for these light, very conveniently.

GE, Sylvania-Osram, Philips... of all the major bulb manufacturing companies, I've never been too particular because they all function the same provide light. If you would come to my house, you'd see bulbs from all 3 different manufacturers. However in this instance, I purchased these bulbs because:

1) Incandescents are now banned and becoming harder to find.

2) CFLs, despite energy efficient, are roughly 400% 800% more per bulb than incandescents

3) The most important, my wife wanted all the bulbs to match in each room. (Because of the price of CFL, I can't afford to spend over $400 to make all the bulbs in my house match.)

When I came across this item on Amazon (the 48-pack), I did my match calculations and saw that these bulbs came down to exactly $1 each. If you buy a 4-pack from Amazon, such as GE 48689 75-Watt A19 Reveal Bulbs, 4-Pack, you're paying $6.98, or $1.75 per bulb. So I saved 75 cents per bulb by buying this in bulk. But I'm questioning if I made the right choice...

You see, when I received my bulbs from Amazon, they came in a box with all 48-bulbs in individual 4-packs tightly fitted to the box. However, there was no padding whatsoever and the box seems to have been slightly abused by the carrier. I already gave a poor review on Amazon's shipping for this particular item but I'm not docking any stars because what I'm reviewing here is the bulbs themselves. But I can't help to think that the impact of the box moving around via the carrier has somehow related to the fact that I received bad bulbs. Yes, I've had bad bulbs already.

I immediately removed 2 4-packs and used 8 bulbs throughout my house to replace the current lighting. 2 of the 8 bulbs were bad the filament was somehow dislodged and you could hear the filament move around in the bulb when you shake the bulb. Furthermore, I know these bulbs were bad because in the case of frosted bulbs (which is just a powder-like coating, I saw the filament remove the coating on the inside as it moved around (looks like an Etch-A-Sketch). So because of this, I'm already down by $2. Again, I'm not docking the review, but just letting you know that 2 of my 8 bulbs tested so far are bad. Makes you wonder how many others are bad too in the box I haven't tested...

Anyway, the bulb itself when lit, is less warm than the standard incandescent light bulbs. I know the Neodymium coating on the inside is supposed to filter the natural yellow color of incandescent lights and it does filter it out to a degree, but not completely. Comparing two bulbs side-by-side, incandescents typically have a color temperature of 2700K to 3000K. Despite my bulbs being advertised as "full spectrum", I don't think they are. I have full-spectrum CFLs and those bulbs look snow white. These GE Reveals appear to be about 3200K 3500K. That range is still yellow and to remove the yellowness without going blue, you have to hover around 4000K.

If you prefer incandescents, I can recommend the Reveal bulbs & they are probably as close as you'll get to "white lights" before you start using CFLs & other lighting technologies.

I bought this years ago for my apartment in New York, it didn't work well...hardly held a charge! I thought to bring it with me to Puerto Rico and WOW!!! Charge it by day and I get FREE VERY BRIGHT LIGHT all night long.

Great to read (yes, it's THAT bright!) by or, just to keep a light on while I'm out for added security.

I can't recommend it enough!!! Guess it was the stronger sun here that made ALL the difference!

Unless you have superb sun, this solar part of this lamp is a dud. (Only the solar part though...)

HOWEVER, if you own these solar lamp and are frustrated with it, I have found a method so you can keep using this lamp! If you unscrew the battery pack, you can lift up the battery pack lid and find three rechargeable batteries. You can charge them and put them back into the lamp. Then the lamp will grow very bright and last at least a couple of hours. This will be cumbersome if you intend to use the lamp for a long span of time, but for those who just need it for maybe half an hour a day for some light reading, this method is great and you don't feel like you wasted your money.

I love how it's portable and doesn't need to be plugged in.

The color of the "stones" is different than the picture; mine has a green hue to it. I'm sure the color varies on each one. However, it is adorable and still works with the decor. You can light just the fireplace light (included), top light or both. I'm using it as a night light in a guest bathroom.

Transportation - Vintage Airplanes Sport Silver Lamp Reviews

This may not be for everyone, but it is perfect for me. I am a retired fighter/commercial pilot. The "man cave" with bedroom has recently been finished. Each room has a theme. The bedroom has an early aircraft aviation theme. The window next to the Queen bed has a Roman shade depicting WWI planes and aircraft similar to the ones on the shade. The lamps are placed on each side of the bed with a large F4U-1A Corsair picture, signed by Pappy Boyington, between them. The decor is perfect. The lamp is not heavy duty, but for the price is an excellent value. The bulbs were replaced to give a softer light. I would definitely recommend this light for a child's room or any aviation themed room.
