I think the first thing with any repair product is to be realistic about what the finished results are going to be like. Obviously in an ideal world I would want there to be no evidence that there was ever a chip in the granite. However, I am cynical enough to realize that a 10-minute quick fix kit just ain't gonna make this happen, so all I really want is for this to be a pretty good repair (pretty being the operative word here).

That being said this kit does indeed do a pretty good job.

The instructions are easy to follow, although be careful not to lose the "curing strip", as this is only a transparent square of flexible plastic and I was expecting more.

We had a chip on the corner of a sink top and this has done a good job of repairing it (see photos) despite it being in what I would consider a difficult place to repair. I think the kit would be excellent for a more straightforward chip away from an edge. The whole repair took about 30 minutes.

Also be aware that you will need alcohol or acetone to clean the repair as this is not supplied. It was not a problem for me as my kids seem to paint and repaint their nails almost daily so we are awash with acetone-containing nail polish remover.

I had about a 1/2 inch chip on my granite counter top, this stuff filled and sealed it. I had to do it twice, the first time I followed the directions, but when I removed the film the filler came up with it. The second time I left the film off, just used the curing light, took about an hour to dry and hardend, guess because it was a deep chip, once I sanded and polished it, looks almost perfect and undetectable. Glad I tried it, repair person wanted to charge $200 to fix it.

You can't notice the patched area. This product worked as advertised. Though the switch on the light that was intended to keep,the light on did not work. We were forced to press the button switch for the amount of time required to harden the patch. Things to be aware of is that you may need to keep the light on for longer than the time in the instructions. For us, we needed to patch an edge which required that we apply multiple applications of the patching material. The end result is more than acceptable.

I just used the product today, so I cannot tell how long it will last, but it filled in three tiny chips (less than 1/4 inch each) in the bathroom sink and counter fairly smooth and invisible. The surface is not as shiny as the original sink, but you can only see that at certain angles, and the repair looks much better than the holes. Expensive, yes, but worth it for me.

I have only had this lamp for two days, so this is a preliminary review, but so far I am VERY impressed. NO BUZZING, and I mean zero buzzing. NO FLICKERING. None. The ability to turn on one bulb, two, or all three, is awesome. When using this lamp, I don't have to blind myself with excessive glare in trying to see fine detail in my artwork and sewing. I can adjust the light level to meet my needs. The construction is extremely solid--so solid that I hope the joints loosen up just a tiny little bit in time. When I position this lamp, its adjustable joint clamps lock it into place so that it is not sagging or drooping or tilting. It isn't going anywhere but where I put it. It lights a large work area. It is perfect, and exactly what I hoped it might be. The price--well, not as perfect; but I have another drafting lamp of the more common type, and while it gives me bright light, it buzzes a lot, and can't be positioned with great precision. And yes, it flickers with that rapid oscillation that makes my eyes tired. The Aven Magna Deluxe is a far better light source, and I will probably bite the bullet and buy another to replace the less satisfactory drafting lamp now that I know there is a much better product out there. If you are looking for a well-made and solid superior light source for fine detail work, and you don't want to put up with that HORRIBLE BUZZING NOISE and flicker while you use it, this is the lamp. And although it is brand new, the construction is so impressive that I don't expect it to degrade. I'll update later.

when I saw the width of the lamp, I thought it'd be too big for my drafting table, boy was I mistaken. it's the perfect size and the clean white light, brings everything to life. I can get the details now without accidentally getting oily nose prints on my paper. Light goes on immediately and stays a consistent but not overly bright white. Stays exactly where it's positioned and the coverage area is enough so that I don't have to constantly adjust. I can now work late at night and not run the overhead lights. For me it was expensive but worth it.

Love the way the lamp looks, but it wasn't easy to get the globes in place. There were extra "rings" around the base of the lamp holders. My husband had to remove those before the glass globes would fit on.

This lamp is basically a gift I gave to myself for my end table by my bed. It is as beautiful as you see in the picture. It brightens my room, and I love it. It doesn't give bright enough light to read much, but it's so pretty.

This fan works well. It does a very good job of clearing the bathroom of steamy air (the bathroom is about 5'x 14'). It is very quiet. The grill is extremely difficult to attach. The slots are quite small and hard to see and the clips are large and very hard to squeeze together enough to fit into the slots. Be prepared to spend several frustrating minutes working on it. The lamp it takes is a hard to find 4 pin compact fluorescent. Good luck if you need to replace it. The reason it is Energy Star qualified is that you have to use a fluorescent lamp. If you are handy you could replace the socket. Air King has a comparable non-Energy Star model which takes a conventional lamp but the specifications show it is somewhat noisier. Those who whine about the quality of fluorescent light will not like the lamp that is included. It is very blue. A warm white lamp is available (again, good luck finding it). At least one is included. We considered a Nutone fan that had a different, but equally difficult to find lamp, and it did not include the the lamp. The thing that irks me about the lamp is that it takes several minutes to reach full brightness. The instructions are not very good but unless you are totally hopeless when it comes to home improvement you don't really need them. The damper is not easily removable. I didn't need the damper since it exhausts into an air exchanger. It is a butterfly valve and I just used a paperclip to pin the two flaps together. One essential piece was missing. There was no bushing/cable clamp included. This clamps the wires as they go into the housing and keeps them from rubbing on the sharp edge of the opening. It is required by the electrical code. You can pick one up at any hardware or home improvement store. If you are replacing a fan, the old one almost certainly has one that you can salvage, assuming it was properly installed. It would have only cost the manufacturer about a quarter to include one.

I would recommend the fan. The cons are minor and easily remedied.

Only fan that could be found which has a side exhaust, great for horizontally mounted fans. Fan is quite and all functions work great. Only pain is the clips that hold the cover in place. After and hour of battle and frustration the only way I was able to get the clips in was to tie the spring together so I could get each side mounted.

Electrician puts up a good number of these and was impressed with the quality of the rough in box and after hooking up the electrical had to check to see if it was running since it was so quiet. Will be switching out the other bath fans in the house with the Air King option as it is much nicer than the competitors after researching them extensively. Just wish they were looked at the local home improvement stores to bring down the prices and allow you to see them in action. (Guessing the HI stores don't want to have them displayed since they wouldn't end up selling any of the cheaper/louder choices.

Does exactly what it needs to, pulls all the moisture out and is super quiet in the process. I have about a 80sqft bathroom which is pretty long, somewhat narrow, and only when three or four people take showers will moisture reach the mirrors. Great value and looks pretty good too.

I have one of these in my living room, I filled it with potpourri. I am now looking for instructions on how to tighten it down again. The lamp works fine but became disconnected both on the top and bottom. Never really tightened right to begin with, but was okay. The cord twists and then unscrews the base.

I hope you have better luck with this. I bought mine at target on sale for 25.00, so it's not like I'm out 100.00

Unfortunately when I purchased this shade, I had never heard of a clip-on attachment. This attachment limits the type of bulb you can use with the shade. I am energy-conscious and like to use CFL bulbs but I could not find one that this shade can clip on to. Also note that a 25 watt bulb is recommended and you have to use the ones with the tiny screw-in base. I picked up a 7-inch lamp shade so the shade would be proportionate and it looks really good on a shelf in my nursery.

I got 2 of these lamp shades for green frosted vintage lamps I picked up. Spent a little more than I usually do but Laura Ashley items have never let me down in the past. The product was delivered on time and is not defective in any way.

But I am not crazy about the way they implemented the gooseneck.

It only works if you put the clamp onto a horizontal surface (e.g. the edge of a table).

I wanted to clip it to the headboard of the bed and that just doesn't work. It just flops down if clipped to something vertical like a headboard.

But it works OK if we clip it to the bedside table but that means only one of us can use it.

Apart from the clamp orientation issue, the product is fine. Bright enough and presumably draws less power and produces less heat since it is an LED.

I have owned 2 of these lamps for about 4 months.

I really like

1. the goose neck clip on

2. the initial brightness

3. The ability to direct light in a focused area

I don't like:

1. The quality of the LED. Both lamps, over time have dimmed intermittently and sometimes flicker. Both no longer give off the strong white color, it has become amber.

2. There is no way to change out the LED, so I have to buy new lamps.

Beautiful and very functional, but really disappointed in the LED quality.

We've owned 5 of these: I've had 3 of them, and my wife two. The problem is that after a year or so of nearly daily use, the switch goes bad and the light flickers and/or dims. I've replaced a couple of mine, and the same thing always happens. My wife uses hers maybe once a week, or even less, and they're still in good working order. So unless you need something for just occasional use, I don't recommend this product.

It clips on easily.

The LED is efficient.

BUT it is a little too much of a spotlight for reading, especially with a kindle. It must be aimed off center or it is too bright and causes reflection on the kindle.

If you are doing some kind of detail work where an easy to aim bright light is a plus this might be perfect.
