Okay, first you have to know what you are buying. If you are looking for lights that replace common light bulbs, this will not be for you. If you are looking for path lights that are actually bright for path lights, these will please you. The other reviews are not really fair to the product. It's like saying my scooter can't tow my boat and then giving the scooter a rating of 1 star.

These are solar lights for less than $2 a piece. You couldn't buy the solar cell, battery and LED's for that, let alone put together. That is a amazing.

The kit comes with everything you need. They even come with 16 holders so you can double their height if you wish. I might suggest that the first time you use them, throw the batteries into a nicad charger. That way you can really see how well they work and give them a fair review on how well they charge over an entire day of sunlight.

I'm glad I bought these.

This is an updated review. When I first received these lights I was very satisfied. Only about 3 out of 64 were broken on delivery and the rest worked great so for the price they were a bargain. Then after the first month issues started. I noticed in the rain about half filled with water. Upon inspection I noticed there were supposed to be drain holes and in about half the lights they had not been drilled out, so I did that myself. It only took about an hour. Next I noticed several lights stopped lighting at all. So I brought them in and charged the batteries and they lit up fine. However many of them never turned off. Not sure what happened but for some reason the light sensor appeared to go bad so they always though it was dark...well with solar powered batteries that's an issue because they won't stay charged long when running constantly. By October 2012, I bought them in early June 2012, and only 17 out of the 64 I bought are still working, so they don't look like such a good deal any more. A year after purchase I am down to 2 working lights and they only stay on for a few hours, and the plastic has become very brittle. Just touching them is enough to break the lamp off. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

I am still not sure what the bad reviews mean when they say they are not bright, or don't stay lit very long. In my experience they either worked great, or not at all. When I initially got them, I charged all the batteries in a charger before I noticed they have an on/off switch which had I known I would have let them charge outside for a couple days instead.(I bought 8 sets of 8 lights so took a while to charge all 64 batteries). The on/off switch was well described in the instructions, which being a man, I did not read. After charging them in my cheapo NiCad charger I then reinstalled the batteries, turned the switches to "on" and placed them outside, they ran all night. As to brightness...for Pete's sake! They're accent lights, designed to enhance the appeal of landscaping or provide decorative lighting for a walkway. If you want security lights or lights that light up the area for parties do not get these(of course if you have half a brain and read the description you should already know that) They are sturdy and have not moved after 4 days of rain with some storms giving wind gusts to 50 mph.

I read the reviews and did become a bit leary about the negative comments, but went ahead and purchased them. They arrived safe and sound and in a timely manner. I did as someone suggested turn them on, set them up and give them a day to absorb the sun-light. Since then my sidewalk has been quite illuminated EVERY night.

I suppose I should have realized that for $20 I wasn't getting great lights, but this was worse than that. They are made from very light plastic, have no substance, and 3 of the 8 had the bulbs mangled in packaging and do not work. It's not worth it to me to bother returning them, but maybe I can spare you a mistake!

These lights are not too bright, but work very well. You just have to remember to turn the on switch on, when you buy these. I have read some reviews saying that some of these don;t. So far these work fine, just look for the flip switch under the base of the lamp. Good deal, no regrets

Review of Granite & Marble Chip & Nick Repair Kit - Clear LCA

I think the first thing with any repair product is to be realistic about what the finished results are going to be like. Obviously in an ideal world I would want there to be no evidence that there was ever a chip in the granite. However, I am cynical enough to realize that a 10-minute quick fix kit just ain't gonna make this happen, so all I really want is for this to be a pretty good repair (pretty being the operative word here).

That being said this kit does indeed do a pretty good job.

The instructions are easy to follow, although be careful not to lose the "curing strip", as this is only a transparent square of flexible plastic and I was expecting more.

We had a chip on the corner of a sink top and this has done a good job of repairing it (see photos) despite it being in what I would consider a difficult place to repair. I think the kit would be excellent for a more straightforward chip away from an edge. The whole repair took about 30 minutes.

Also be aware that you will need alcohol or acetone to clean the repair as this is not supplied. It was not a problem for me as my kids seem to paint and repaint their nails almost daily so we are awash with acetone-containing nail polish remover.

I had about a 1/2 inch chip on my granite counter top, this stuff filled and sealed it. I had to do it twice, the first time I followed the directions, but when I removed the film the filler came up with it. The second time I left the film off, just used the curing light, took about an hour to dry and hardend, guess because it was a deep chip, once I sanded and polished it, looks almost perfect and undetectable. Glad I tried it, repair person wanted to charge $200 to fix it.

You can't notice the patched area. This product worked as advertised. Though the switch on the light that was intended to keep,the light on did not work. We were forced to press the button switch for the amount of time required to harden the patch. Things to be aware of is that you may need to keep the light on for longer than the time in the instructions. For us, we needed to patch an edge which required that we apply multiple applications of the patching material. The end result is more than acceptable.

I just used the product today, so I cannot tell how long it will last, but it filled in three tiny chips (less than 1/4 inch each) in the bathroom sink and counter fairly smooth and invisible. The surface is not as shiny as the original sink, but you can only see that at certain angles, and the repair looks much better than the holes. Expensive, yes, but worth it for me.

I've had this light for a couple of years as a behind-the-monitor ambient light to lessen eye strain. It worked as a lamp should -until the bulb went out. And there are ZERO sources for replacing this bulb. Sure, you can find 13 watt fluorescent desk lamps, but you WILL NOT find them in a four-prong linear arrangement.

This lamp really helps me see part numbers, and printing in general that is too small for my old eyes to be able to identify. The lamp is real easy to position over your work. I love this lamp! I chose this one based on the reviews of others. It's the perfect height for a nightstand. It doesn't take up too much room due to the narrow base. It's has a good weight, not flimsy. It seems well made and I've seen others with this pineapple design for 3 times the price. Just a caveat The description says "2" lamps but there is only 1 lamp due to Amazon consolidating descriptions. Even for one lamp the price of $49.00 is worth it. I recently purchased this item to use in a long, darkish hallway to help my half-blind old cat (17 years and still going)get around better. It is as cute as a button, bright for it's size, and well-made for being a night-light. Yes, the "glass" portion of the lantern has a transparent yellow tint, but it doesn't bother me. Perhaps because I placed mine in a floor outlet and thus it's not noticeable. It came very well-packaged. I may have to purchase another one for his "litter" bathroom!

Not as good with the light off! They are made of plastic and the faux glass is yellow when the light is off. This isn't as noticeable when the light is on, but doesn't look the best during the day. Other than that, it is very cute, sturdy and I like that it has an on/off switch.

I have looked at 100's of lamps, both online and offline, and this one is one of the best, in many respects.

One Note: This is a shorter lamp, so probably not best for a Living Room end table.

Works best as a desk lamp and as a bedside lamp (where it bumps your bedroom up to nice hotel room status!).

Good Things About This Lamp:

1. Excellent classic design sleek black body with chrome accent, nicely balanced black rectangular shade.

2. Good weight so many lamps weigh so little that they tip over with very little provocation.

Not this one nice and sturdy.

3. Black on black one of the few lamps that offers a black body with a black shade.

Bonus: The rectangular shade is the perfect balance to the body; any other shape bell, etc. would not have provided the modern silhouette that this shade does.

4. Very well packaged so well packaged that shade did not have a single dent!

Quite an accomplishment!

5. Very fair price $52. I have paid twice that for inferior lamps.

Good To Know: Lite Source provides many lamps to Target's online store.

Many of those same lamps are available here on Amazon for 20% 25% less (plus free 2-day shipping if you are an Amazon Prime member).

I'm not knocking Target because they are a really good store, but the fact that they have online stores to support and Amazon does not probably accounts for the price difference, so check Amazon first for best price!

Overall, the quality is excellent. The only criticism is that more care should be given to both Nova and Amazon in the package it was shipped. Nova uses staple to close the box, almost tearing through and damaging the shade. It was just luck that it was not damaged. I was glad to see the box was not previously opened. However, there was a deep gouge on the base that appears to been there before it was packaged. The Amazon packaging was too big for all the contents I ordered. Despite all the extra movement, no additional damage to this light fixture. Amazon is great. It was replaced quickly and without any hassles...One of the reasons I order throught Amazon...Quality of the lamp was better than I expected, fitting a contemporary living style extremely well...I would order a Nova fixture again, without hesitation.

We bought this lamp online with a little trepidation, but we'd not found anything in stores that suited our living room. It arrived well packed. It had a small ding in the base, but was easily covered up with a little black magic marker. We love the lamp and it suits our decor perfectly. The light switch allow dimming, and this was a nice surprise.

I absolutely love these lamps. I wouldn't necessarily call them "dark red" though. They are definitely on the espresso side of things with that natural red tint that most espresso furniture has. Also, as a previous reviewer stated, the lamp shades do not have black lines that frame each panel. The "black lines" appear when the light is turned on and the lamp shade frame blocks the passage of light through the lamp shade. The lamps were extremely simple to put together and I think the quality is excellent thus far. I highly recommend! :)

I received my order very quickly. The lamps were very securely packaged and arrived in perfect shape. These lamps are absolutely gorgeous! I am so happy with them. I have an oak paneled family room with dark wood tables these lamps look wonderful with the decor. I love everything about these lamps! Assembly was quick and easy. They give off a great amount of light. I am using a 30-70-100 3-way bulb. I have both lamps on the 30 watt setting and they give off plenty of light for watching tv, working on laptop; etc. I would refer to the color as a deep cherrywood. Deep brown with red hue, just gorgeous. When I walk past the room or into the room, I'm just amazed at how much I love these lamps! Thank you for such a wonderful product.
