I have been looking (on-line) at this lamp for over 2 years. Finally found the $$ in my budget to buy it. It is a beautiful lamp. It has a foot dimmer switch, so you can leave it on low if you would like a night light effect, or turn it up all the way for use as a room lamp.

I am extremely pleased with the quality, however, it does come in two pieces and it is heavy (think quality) so you need two people to hold the 'tree trunk' to enable hand screwing it together. The shade on this is a beautiful golden hue to it and gives off nice warm glow.

We set this in the corner of the room, so the dogs and kids wouldn't knock it down. As stable as any other tall lamp, so don't be concerned. This is a high quality light and worth its cost.

Looks very 'real' from across the room.

This lamp exceeded my expectations. It is not too big or too small......just the right size for the tea table I purchased it for. It takes regular light bulbs (not candlebra) and has two pull chains so either one or both lights can be turned on easily. Shade is very pretty but has a tan hue, which gives it a more masculine feel than many other Tiffany-style lamps. Lamp seems welll made, which is what I would expect from Quoizel.

Discount Ikea Sparsam E12 7 Watt Bulbs

I love IKEA, and their products are generally inexpensive. I too bought a cool cheap lamp there, only to discover that it needs very odd bulbs, in terms of the tiny E12 base and a narrow shape to fit inside the fixture and shade connection. I think IKEA sells the lamp cheap to hook you into paying for these outrageously priced specialty bulbs. HOWEVER you can instead visit that well-known auction site and pay 99 cents for a E12-to-E27 socket converter that will allow you to use incandescent or fluorescent bulbs with a standard size base. The converter is cheap and shipped for free. Easy to find on that "bay" well-known auction site.

I have a pretty paper Ikea lamp that looks a bit like a woman's torso got combined with a Japanese paper lantern by some evil scientist. It's a floor lamp and it sits in the corner of the bedroom to provide some soft lighting and a nice decorative effect along with my Chinese paintings.

However, you need a special light bulb for the lamp; not a standard socket and these are what you need. The name "Sparsam" seems to be Swedish for "save money" but you don't on the price of the bulb that is for sure. You do save on energy. And on light output; they are dim bulbs, indeed. I just can't cotton to the new non-incandescent lighting. None of it seems to really work for me and for reading, I have an Ott-Lite to really give me enough to see by.

One other issue; the textured coating of the bulbs gathers dust in a big way. I have to wipe these down with a dampish cloth rather frequently.

I don't love these bulbs, but as long as I own this decorative lamp, I'm kind of stuck. At least I can find them here and not have to trudge 100 miles to the nearest Ikea and wander through its vastness.

Nothing much to say. I bought some bulbs, the bulbs I bought arrived. They work great.

Apparently I have to say more...these CFL bulbs are low wattage while being bright. I generally don't like the harsh white lighting from fluorescents, and these are no exception. However, since they're mounted in an Ikea Orgel lamp the light passes through a layer of paper which changes it to a soft and gentle autumnal glow.

When it first arrived, it looked horrifically cloudy, you can't see anything through the liquid at all, however once it warms up, it does get a fair bit less cloudy(although still way too cloudy for my tastes). On top of this, the wax seems to like sticking to the sides of the glass, making it flow up weirdly. Overall it's not THE WORST lava lamp, but its certainly not good, either.

The lamp arrived on time and in good condition. I own many Tiffany style lamps and had my doubts before ordering, even after reading all the reviews that gave the lamp 4-5 stars. A lamp like this usually goes for $500-$800 so you can understand my doubts when the price was just $127.68 including shipping. The description of the lamp color was pink and green and I wanted blue but ordered it anyway. The lamp I received was most definitely blue and not green and pink (wonderful). The lamp and shade was covered in an oily film that was easily removed with a paper towel. The base of the lamp is base metal and not bronze or bronze coated like other Tiffany style lamps I own, but acceptable from a distance. The metal base easily attaches to the lamp base using two thumb screws. I did not use the included bulb in the lighted base and substituted a 40 watt compact fluorescent bulb with a small base that uses only 7 watts (very little heat and lots of light in the enclosed base). I leave the base on all the time as a night light (7W*24H*30D*.065/KWH=0.32/month) (yes, I only pay 0.065/KWH, unlimited, for electricity). I also used two 60 watt warm compact fluorescent bulbs in the top section that are turned on with two pull chains. The bulbs went into the plastic sockets without any problem. The base light is turned on with a switch on the cord and the upper part of the lamp lights with two pull chains. When this lamp is on, the colors and the light output are just amazing. This is not a little lamp, but a full size lamp that can fill up a room with light. Is this equivalent to an $800.00 Tiffany Style lamp? Yes, from 3 feet away, no if you look closer. The metal parts are just colored base metal. The glass pieces are claimed to be soldered together with copper foil. The glass connections look like black plastic. I need to do a scrape test to see if I can detect copper. The more expensive lamps use bronze to connect the pieces of glass. The shade and base are very solid and sturdy with this black material. Overall, this lamp does not compare to a high end Tiffany style lamp at $800.00, but at $127.68 this lamp is a real steal. If you are looking for a Tiffany style, blue, red, green and yellow color and light, this lamp is for you at twice the price. Another company "CK Stained Glass" is offering this lamp at $157.95 plus shipping of $4.95 plus 28lbs*$.50/pound called "Blue American Handmade Dragonfly Tiffany Style Stained Glass Table Lamp Lamps with Lit Base". The one from Amazon has a shipping weight of only 15.8lbs (very strange this weight difference). I don't know where the glass comes from (America or China), but I do know this lamp was NOT made in the US. The lamp has 400 pieces of glass, soldered together with three sockets, pull chains, small bulb and power cord and switch. The packing material (Styrofoam and cardboard plus shipping) would cost over $40.00 alone. This is another example of China building something at $.50/hour and selling below cost while undercutting our labor rates and environmental laws. We cannot compete with this type of business practice. Buy yours while you can, but when all our businesses close because they can't compete, where will we work and get the money to buy their products?

Everyone visiting my home for the first time immediately "ooohs" and "aaahs" when they see my dragonfly lamp adding how much they wish they could afford one. Needless to say, I just say "Thank you. We love it, too." Why not? They wouldn't believe me anyway if I told them I purchased it on Amazon.com. It's been almost a year now and I still am happy we chose this lamp. It's beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this lamp actually looks better than the photo. Perhaps the reason the photo doesn't do it justice is that it appears the picture was taken while the lamp was turned off. This makes the lamp look darker and greener than it appears when turned on. The lamp seems more blue and very iridescent when illuminated. This lamp is very much worth the money even without the 25 watt bulb for the lower section that was included. It is the star of the room when lit and a beautiful feature otherwise. The lamp was packed well and arrived within 3 business days. The only caveat would be that the bolts that mount the stained glass pedestal section to the metal base needed some gentle coaxing (re-alignment) before the holes in the base would line up. This was easily accomplished without the need of any tool other than fingers. For this, I would have only subtracted half a star if I could. Bottomline, if I had the room I would not hesitate to buy a couple more of these beauties.

I think this lamp was a gift for the price!! It looks really beautiful, was really easy to assemble, they well nicely packed (although one of them came full of the white stuff the use to protect it so I had to wipe it). This lamp brightens up any corner. I purchased two of them for every side of a big red velvet sofa I have and they look awesome! The only downside I would say is that now I have to decorate around them and kind of tone everything else down, also when they arrived they were cover in some kind of oily stuff... they were kind of slippery, I guess it's some kind of product they give to it to protect the material or something like that, I'm not sure but I took it as a good sign they were fresh out of the oven!!

I was surprised at the appearance of this lamp. First of all, the base is plastic.

It is also a large lamp and the shade i quite wide. I cannot tell if it looks nice

lit up, as it arrived with missing parts and cannot be assembled. It looks prettier

in the photo than it does sitting here in front of me. I would say it looks somewhat

hunky and gaudy. But as I mentioned, I cannot see it lit up.

The only thing to mention is the picture shows one thing, and you get something else. You will receive an opaque black bottle, and the liquid inside is blue, not yellow. It's a nice shade of blue though, not electric or bright, not real dark.... I will purchase this again because of the surprising color actually. But if you want yellow... not so much.

I purchased this lamp mainly because it folded up flat for easy moving (as I'm in college, space is important). The lamp has 5 different brightness levels (controlled via TOUCHPAD!). The LEDs are very bright and light up my entire desk quite well.

Con:

The only con I have is that the lamp head is kind of loose, so it's hard to keep it from folding down on itself sometimes. It takes a few times to get it to stay at your preferred angle. Not too much of a con, but can be annoying if a nudge the lamp hard enough and the head just folds in.

Overall a good purchase (as I desperately needed to get a desk lamp), and I definitely recommend this lamp!

Styling: Aesthetic and functional style of this lamp is amazing. I love the accent colors along the top and the colored touch pad. The ac to dc transformer is small enough that it doesn't obstruct other plugs, a huge plus. Did I mention it has a touch pad? Fancy!

Efficiency/ Energy use: My killawat measures a 12 watt pull at full power a bit more than the description claims but still just a fraction of the pull from its halogen powered predecessor.

Potential negatives:

Light colorThe light has a definite blue color to it. I don't see this as a problem, but buyers should be aware as many have a strong preference toward warm light spectrum, this is most certainly on the cold side.

FingerprintsThe entire black surface of the lamp is high gloss, and a finger print magnet. After only a day of use it's covered in them. I don't see this as a problem but again, that's personal preference.

CostDang, this thing is costly, I mean yeah, it looks great, but it's a desk lamp. I'm still trying to justify to myself why I spent this much.

All in all, I'm satisfied. I reserve 5 star ratings only for phenomenal products. Don't get me wrong, this is a great product and I'm very satisfied and would recommend it.

The good? This is a bright LED lamp with modern styling. The multiple dim settings are nice. The bad? Dollar store quality manufacturing (made in China of course)... The case is made of cheap, glossy black plastic. The arm doesn't lock in place and is very loose and easy to knock out of position. The power connector is also loose and moving the lamp can easily shut it off (even if the power adapter is connected). The touch controls are kind of neat, but that also makes it easy to hit the wrong thing.

I bought this through Amazon.Com. The color of the lamp is a little misleading, as it appears a shaded bronze. Possibly the lamp was lit when the photo was taken and the shading made it look darker. The lamp is a light gold, with a great looking light brown lamp shade. The shade is the focal point of the lamp. Now seeing the lamp base (resin), I probably would not have bought it, but I plan on using it in my livingroom. It is relatively tall for a table lamp.

High quality CONOCO Piano Lamp does a great job of lighting my sheet music with just the right amount of brilliance. The light extends at least a couple of feet beyond the ends of my 88 key piano. I'm very, very pleased with this lamp and would recommend it to a friend without reservation (the lamp pictured here is not the actual lamp I received search on "conoco piano lamp 19" to see the actual lamp I received). UPDATE: CONOCO contacted me and asked that I write a review. I originally wrote a five star review (the first three sentences of this paragraph). Ironically, the CONOCO Piano Lamp stopped working after I wrote the initial five star review. I changed this to a one star review after my experience with CONOCO. The lamp stopped working because of a defective AC adapter. CONOCO advised me that 99% of the failures they have encountered are due to defective adapters, which seems to comfirm to me that this is an ongoing problem that they are very aware of. It also confirms that I'm not the only one who has contacted them about the problem with their defective adapters. After exchanging a number of emails, CONOCO agreed to send me a replacement adapter. The new replacement adapter that they sent me also burned out and failed very quickly. I have used the lamp for a total of two hours, and I have spent several hours communicating with the CONOCO representative concerning this problem. I finally advised CONOCO that I can't afford to spend more time exchanging emails, and I don't want to continue to replace old defective adapters with new defective adapters. I requested a return mailing label and a refund. The CONOCO representative replied that this is not their refund policy (so I never got a refund). I returned the Piano Lamp to CONOCO with a note saying that I do not want to experiment with additional adapters. I also told CONOCO that they can do whatever they want with the lamp that I returned to them, and that I never want to see it again. My experience with the CONOCO Piano Lamp and with the CONOCO representative has given me a headache! Maybe you'll have better luck with CONOCO, maybe not. LED lights generally have a life expectancy of 50,000 hours, so I was surprised when the CONOCO lamp failed, and I certainly wouldn't have expected adapter after adapter to fail (I've never had an adapter fail on any of my electronics before). Maybe CONOCO is getting a run of bad adapters from their supplier and are using their customers as beta testers I'm not sure, but it doesn't make much difference. I'm now using a Mighty Bright Orchestra Light that's reliable and that I'm very happy with. The Mighty Bright Orchestra Light has two brightness settings, and the bright setting is about the same as the CONOCO lamp. It's now time for me to leave behind CONOCO's problem with their defective adapters and their uncompromising attitude and concentrate on playing music.

No glare, perfect lighting for our piano. And it's not huge so as not to be an eye sore on the piano. For some reason, I thought it was battery powered. Really wasn't wanting to mess with a power cord across the floor. But it's not that bad. I unplug it when I'm not using it.

This is a nice piano lamp. Well made, bright LEDs, and it looks good. The big issue is that it will not work on an upright/console pianos. The description on the Conoco web site says it is for grand pianos but the Amazon description omits that part. There is no place to clamp the light on an upright. I had always wanted a Tiffany-style lamp and chose this one because the purple in it goes nicely with my bedroom colors. It is resin, not glass, but I don't think that takes away from how attractive it is. Maximum wattage is 60, but I use a 40 watt, which is cozier. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the on-off swtich is on the electric cord, not on the socket. I don't think the product description mentioned that.

I have owned and own several Woods "Yellow Jacket" extension cords. I purchased this one to replace a stolen one. They're popular with thieves too! Its well-constructed plug and socket separate it from the look-alike cords. The Woods cord is well worth the extra money. Also, it doesn't get stiff in cold weather. If you are using this for a weed whacker or leaf blower only, you can get by with the Woods 12/3 cord for about half the price. If you are running an air compressor or anything that has a high current requirement, a 100' 12/3 cord just isn't enough get this one.

If you know how to use a 10 gauge cord this cord is great, and flexibility is great in sub-zero temps.

If you are like everybody else with previous reviews:

A 10/3 cord works very well if you need to run high amperage (i.e. air compressor, table saw, etc), or you are using the 100ft 10 gauge cord for a lead on a job-site for other cords to plug into.

So, why not use it for everything...

If you are using electrical power, power should only be used in one direction. The power that comes into your house comes from a number 4 wire, from there it goes to your sub-panel where it splits to different circuits in a residential standard 12 gauge. Then you plug in your band-new 10/3 cord which violates the direction. The power coming from the smaller 12 gauge does not carry enough power to properly use a 10 gauge cord, it would be the same amount of power you would get from a good 12/3. To plug your 10/3 into the proper outlet you need to find a construction twist lock 20amp (with a 10 gauge adapter) or you need to plug-in to a properly wired 20 amp outlet aka "winking man"

If that doesn't change your mind, go to the store and look at the price of a 10/3 and a 12/3 of the same length; then pick both of them up. You'll know when your dragging a 10/3 cable around behind you as you run a leaf blower or skill saw. Personally, I only use a 10/3 as a lead-cord or high amp and sitting still equipment like a compressor or table saw.

This extension cord is simply awesome. It's #10 wire, so it will safely carry a load around 30 amps (though the electrical connector on the end is only rated for around 15 amps.) Voltage drop over 100 ft is greatly lowered by virtue of the oversized conductors, so it's perfect for running a big load like an air compressor or welder. I use it to run a Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder and it works like a charm. It stays flexible in low temperatures and is very pliable, and the jacket is attractive and tough.

I ordered this cord from Boston Industrial through Amazon ,and they sent me an alternative cord without notifying me. The alternative cord is just fine, but it was annoying not to receive what I ordered. Be cautious when ordering through Boston Industrial....you may get an another brand without notification.
