This lamp exceeded my expectations. It is not too big or too small......just the right size for the tea table I purchased it for. It takes regular light bulbs (not candlebra) and has two pull chains so either one or both lights can be turned on easily. Shade is very pretty but has a tan hue, which gives it a more masculine feel than many other Tiffany-style lamps. Lamp seems welll made, which is what I would expect from Quoizel.

The finish on the metal is a dark bronze that looks black from across the room. The lamp puts off a good amount of light and is easy to adjust or to "swing" the top half of it to illuminate another section of the desk. If you're looking for something sturdy and stylish, this lamp is a great pick.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I like this lamp a lot. I guess I didn't look at the product description too closely when I ordered it, and I assumed it was black from the picture. It's actually a burnished brown (bronze) color. It's dark, but definitely brown and not black.

The lamp is also quite heavy which allows the arm to bend down very low without the lamp threatening to tip. I really dislike staring directly at a light source, so the depth to which I can lower the head is a definite plus.

Overall, a great lamp. Definitely solid and dependable so far.

The overhead light just isn't enough and I have tried several lights, trying to brighten my workspace, none really have fit the area perfectly. This lamp does it. It is high enough you can work under it, easily maneuverable, including raising it up and down. The shade, with the white inside reflective colour radiates out light perfectly

The lamp had to be put together, but it snapped together easily. You just need to make sure that it is seated all the way down in its base and it will be very stable. A 13W CFL Bulb is included. If one is not familiar with these bulbs, the packaging can be confusing. It says in big letters 60 watts and then in smaller...equivalent. Only the 13 watt CFL bulbs can be used. The lamp will lower, but at its highest point it is 24".

We really like the handsome dark bronze colourall together an excellent lamp for a desk, reading or table area where you need light to work.

Sturdy, not gaudy at all...expensive looking, very affordable...I have seen lights like this in boutiques in Capitola, California where I live and they're average looking for quality if they are anywhere near something I could afford. The prices varied from $100-$150 + for a little butterfly stained glass lamp....

This butterfly is vibrant, heavy, * real glass*, and I keep it on all the time....I love it on...even when it is off it's a delight to look at and a perfect size....

Now my experiance with Lighting Pavilion was exceptional....I can't even tell you enough. The first one I received came direct from the manufacturer damaged, delivered UPS....it was not their fault UPS tossed this thing around like a soccer ball, whether it left the manufacturer damaged or not, it was evident this box had been through the ringer and tossed about. So who was to blame, who knew? Point is I was sad because I wanted this butterfly as a gift to myself and I wasn't satisfied. Lighting Pavilion did not even hesitate to kindly and rapidly have a new one sent to me....it's on it's way and I cannot wait!

I appreciate their understanding and addressing the matter without question or haggle. And I'm 1OO% satisfied....

They even said I could keep the damaged one. How kind! Now I'll have two butterflies to enjoy and even though the other is damaged I glued it with gorilla glue, and turned it to the side to not be noticed. Everyone wants one now that see's it....when I say what I paid for it, I simply say ''nothing like you'd pay for one at the boutiques or specialty lighting stores around here on the beach like Bunny's and pretty Mama''....super expensive! I also tell them Amazon.com Lighting Pavilion.....

Cheap!!!!! Battery operated plastic lamp!!! Packaging was opened and ripped and the lamp doesn't even fit in the packaging! I am so disappointed !!!! After getting a washer or two...I attemepted to assemble the lampshade and lo and behold....there is a knurled knob at the finial screw post on the harp. A few turns of the knob and I was able to line up the shade and tighhten the finial down. I will bump up the stars to three...it would be higher if the craftsmanship was better. I might buy a few more.

I guess I should have clued into the quality by the price. Of course, it's made in China, so that should have been my tip off. The packing, which is styrofoam, stuck to the electrical cord...and I have to now scrape it off. As I assembled it...I discovered that the finial....the top pice that keeps the lampshade attached to the lamp, will not screw down all the way. That means the lampshade flops around. I will have to go to the hardware store and get myself a washer to make the fit tighter. I shouldn't have to do that for what the lamp cost!!

The copperfoil work or what attempts to look like copperfoil is primitve and the hardware that joins the side pieces together is rather crass.

I hope with dim lighting...no one will notice how rough this lamp is. Previously, I had ordered another lamp...a desk lamp and was happy with it. But after this purchase, I don't think I will order these lamps anymore.

There seems to be a raging debate about whether a Proposition 65 Warning is warranted for Dale Tiffany lamps. More on this after I receive feedback from the Company but it seems to be related to the use of lead solder in joining the shade components. It is not clear to me yet whether lead paint is used as well, in which case I would not use this lamp in a child's room and take care to wash my hands or wear gloves if moving the base.

The lamp shade itself is beautiful and majestically towers in height by appearance albeit a desk lamp. Although some have expressed dissatisfaction with the restriction to 15W, the trick is to use a 3W LED 16.5G bulb from say FEIT that gives off in lumens nearly 25W in equivalence, and has plenty of light for any application without overpowering the look of the lamp nor the electronics. I am no longer a fan of CFL bulbs with the high failure rate with frequent use, and would recommend the LED for a long-term investment and for the unmatched beauty of the light color compared with the CFL, which would only degrade the overall appearance and experience in viewing. Yes, pay another 15 for a LED light bulb if you want more than 15W in equivalance. It is worth it.

I ordered this fixture with the intention of using paper lanterns instead of the glass shades included. It looks great. The cord lengths are adjustable, and you will likely need to adjust them as the entire length is over 5 feet. Unless you plan to cut and splice, the excess cord will be loopy and drapey, as shown in the picture, but much more so. I am pleased with the installation and the quality, especially for the price.

I love this salt lamp. It looks absolutely beautiful in my bedroom. The amber light is extremely soothing , even during the day. I can't wait till tonight to view it in the dark. I am currently studying for another credential to further my career goals. I use textbooks as well a online content to study. My ordinary old desklamp would add to eye fatigue going from screen to text while creating shadows in the books binding. I recently purchased this lamp as a replacement for an older lamp in my home office. I trade stocks from home so I needed something that casts the proper lighting for keyboards and monitors. This lamp has four lighting modes, brightness control, and a timer. I was able to quickly select the proper lighting mode and brightness for my environment. This is by far the one of best LED desk lamp I have ever used. The Conoco® Smart TT-DL01 (Piano Black) LED Desk Lamp is very sleek and has a glossy black finish all over. This lamp has 4 different modes of light (reading, study, relax and sleep modes). You can choose how bright or dim the light is on each setting. This lamp also has a sleep timer button that turns off automatically after 1 hour and a 1 amp/5 volts USB charging port. It has 2 moveable "arms" for adjusting the lamp angle to your personal preference. I really like that I can put this on my desk and study using the lamp while having my iPhone charging next to me using the USB port on the lamp. This is a very modern designed desk lamp.

Light mode descriptions (color temperatures):

-Reading mode (4,500-5,500k): This is the brightest the lamp can go and is great for reading. It uses all the white LED's and the incandescent light tone with it.

-Study mode (5,500-6,500k): Not quite as bright as the reading mode but only uses the white LED's to give a more white bright light.

-Relax mode (3,500-4,500k): This mode uses the incandescent light tone and the white LED's but are very dim and is good for relaxing in bed and looking through a magazine without the need for a bright light. I like this mode for reading in bed.

-Sleep mode (2,000-3,000k): This mode only uses the incandescent light tone and is great for providing light while relaxing. This mode does not stain your eyes if you turn it on when you wake up from sleep. This is my personal favorite mode.

This lamp is great for the environment because they barely use any electricity and they are rated to last more than 40,000 hours of being on. It uses 75% less power than typical fluorescent light.

Specifications:

-This lamp uses 14 watts and operates on DC 12 volts/ 1.5 amps.

-This light can produce a max of 530 lumens which is high and great for this desk lamp and is great for doing homework.

-The USB port on the lamp next to the control touch panel is 1 amp/ 5 volts.

-The lamp fully assembled without the power adapter weighs 2 lb. and 4.3 oz.

Few things/ features I would add to the lamp:

I would like the control panel to be able to spin without having the lamp spinning with it. I want the control panel facing my bed so I can see it and want the lamp facing a different direction.

I would also like the actual light to be able to spin 360 degrees so I face it to the roof if I wanted too.

Overall this desk lamp is outstanding and will be using it a lot for studying, reading and the USB port for charging my iPhone while doing those activities. This is the best designed lamp I have ever seen.

I love that the lamp has three different light frequency settings, along with various stages of brightness. This makes it quite adaptable to varying daylight, cloudy days, night, etc. The swivel base is simple plastic and not very smooth to turn. But those darn controls. It shouldn't take a ton of concentration to turn on the lamp, or adjust the brightness... heck, it should take the bare minimum! But the touch controls on this thing aren't very sensitive. It's like an old microwave where you have to keep pressing "3" to get it to register... same thing here. Thankfully, it seems to remember the last setting so there are days where this isn't an issue. Still Conoco really cheaped-out on this aspect.

I work from home and need a natural light lamp on my desk. I like that this lamp has several light setting. I usually use the study mode during work and relax mode when I read. The design is very sleek and it does not take much space. The material is black glossy plastic, but looks durable. This is my favorite lamp that I have ever owned so far. With this bargain price on Amazon, it is definitely a great buy for me.

I have bought 3 of these lamps so that ought to tell you how much I like them. I bought one for myself for sewing projects and love it so I bought two more as gifts for a crafter and a jewelry maker. Purchased this lamp to use when we do crafts. Our home is not well lit and this is quite helpful. I light is bright, but does not bother my eyes, the caddy is ok. I have not used it much. The lamp arm does not extend so much, so dont expect it to light up a huge area.

The light is also very nice as Ott bulbs usually are and it is bright enough to work by alone, better in conjunction with natural lighting. The bulb lasted one day and then popped and died. The lamp had not been touched except to turn it off once and turn it back on. Rather than try to get a refund or replacement. I just bought a new bulb that has worked great. I took off one star for the bad bulb.

Needless to say its going back, wasted time and money on this effort.

Works great in my kitchen. We've had the lights in for five months now. We took out the flourescent and put in canned lights with four of these hanging Pendants. I think it's a huge improvement and the pendants are a nice design feature, but definitely needed the canned lights also for bright kitchen light. We have pendants on a dimmer, which makes for nice mood lighting. Definitely recommend.

Despite the 6 pieces of glass, this item arrived at my door step with not defects. Assembling it was easy, took about 10 minutes. This lamp has no switch, touch any metal part to switch between 4 modes... off/dim/medium/bright. Very beautiful, effective, nice lamp. (I minused 1 star because the lamp shade will never fully block light coming directly from the three light bulbs, at any angle... and it's not compatible with florescents.)

Item came exactly as pictured. All dragons are exactly alike on each pane. Definitely a touch lamp. Has 3 light settingsdim, moderate, and bright. The fourth touch will turn it off. Mine required assembly when received but all parts to it were there and intact. Building it myself gave me more of a feeling that It was mine and gave sentimental value to it immediately. Like a craftsman carving a wooden horse feels after its been completed. The lamp itself is made out of metal but whether it's pewter or not I can not say as I have no idea how to test that. To me that detail really doesn't matter the thing is awesome. The dragon is a red spikey dragon which appears to be in a lightning storm. I definitely recommend this lamp especially if your in to dragon themes.

it's made of cast latex so it's basically plastic. so i think it's overpriced at $280 and the shade isn't amber brown and gorgeous like in the sample photo at all. it's more terra cotta and the wash technique was poorly executed. luckily i'm artistic and can give it an amber wash which should make it more to my liking. but unfortunately most people who buy it may be disappointed in what they get. maybe amber bulbs will help. if it were around $175 i'd have given this lamp 5 stars.

My office is done in Art Nouveau style and I needed a replacement for what was the perfect Art Nouveau amber banker's lamp that I realized wasn't UL-listed after it tried to electrocute me. I didn't think I could find anything in that style that I liked as much, but after a long search I found this one and may even like it better. It's compact enough to use as a desk lamp, and plenty bright enough to read by while still delivering soft, warm light, even with CFL bulbs. One warning: the shade is not nearly as dark or mottled looking as the picture here depicts. In the picture it almost looks like a mica shade, but it is not. When not lit, the shade is an even amber color. When lit, it is lighter (duh), and unlike other reviewers, I wouldn't describe it as "pink" at all, just a lighter amber color accented by the same red-brown color as the base. This lamp is sold by many other online retailers and other sites' pictures more accurately represent the shade's color. I'd look at other sites' pictures first before buying here, since Amazon's price is the the same or lower as other retailers I found.

Despite cautionary warning about delivery promptness, this item arrived immediately and was packaged compactly. As it is nine pieces, it has to be assembled. Although a largely intuitive process, better directions should have been provided. Assembly of all pieces took 12 minutes and resulted in a sturdy 6' stylish floor lamp. This lamp model had silver finish [one of three finishes offered] that mimics brushed metal. The two screw-in light shades have an appearance of frosted glass [but are made of moderately thick plastic]. Although the lamp instructions suggest the use of incandescent bulbs: a 3-way 50-100-150 watt bulb [in the top globe] and a 60-watt bulb in the flexible side reading lamp, the manufacturer also endorsed the use of CFL bulbs that give the same light output [at far reduced wattage]. With superb results, I used a 13-watt CFL bulb in the adjustable reading lamp and the newest 3-way CFL bulb in the torchiere (top) globe socket.

Overall, this floor lamp was not bad expenditure, looking far more expensive than its modest cost. The weakest feature of this lamp are the two frosted plastic globes, which likely will be the first components to show wear, stress, or breakage. Indeed, the top globe [about 10.5" diameter], although packed seemingly secure in its box, arrived with a 2.5" crack/split near its lip edge (we merely have turned this slightly damaged section of the frosted globe to the wall); had it been easy to dissemble and return the lamp after assembly, that may have been done. As it was, Amazon granted a partial credit on the low-cost purchase price. Once again, it paid to shop Amazon!

For the price, this is an " ok " light, it throws a good amount of light due to the white plastic shades and will light up a

small to medium room very nicely. My problem with this light is the base is so cheaply made the whole light leans towards

the side which has the reading light. I have tightened the bottom nut that holds the light pole to the base but it is so

cheaply made that the tightening did not help at all....It still leans...The base is made of a plastic round mold with a very thin piece

of medal on top that the pole goes through.... I am most certainly not a perfectionist but it bugs me to no

first off-the shipping. i received an email stating that this item would be shipped much sooner than advertised-about a week. even using our usps during the christmas season, it still came earlier than even promised! nice surprise. now about this big little floor lamp...another surprise. i assembled this in about 10 minutes without reading the instructions so i know you can too. i like the smaller circumference of this lamp. my old one had that "chunky" look. i noticed in a few other reviews there were complaints concerning the plastic globes. actually this is a plus. another negative about my old floor lamp was the metal globes quickly became extremely hot using the advised wattage bulbs. when using the reading lamp over your shoulder this becomes a problem for obvious reasons. using the same advised wattage bulbs with this lamp i found i can easily touch the lamp globes without burning myself. that's a comfort as i wouldn't dare do this with my other 2 floor lamps (1 with a glass globe). also keep in mind that with a clear instead of a metal globe, you'll get more room light. the metal globe on the floor lamp will only reflect light off of the ceiling, while these globes light the entire room so much better. both on-off switches work reasonably well and are easy on the fingers. along with a very reasonable price this is a great all-around lamp at a bargain price.

This is great lamp for an economical price. I gave it 4 stars because the quality is not up to 5 stars. It works well, but the construction shows signs of being just adequate rather than being built sturdy and built to last.

I would purchase it again...in fact, I purchased 3 of these to light my living room. They look good and work well.

Good product. No complaints at all. But here's a tip: read the instructions about which pieces to put together first. I didn't, and had to undo it and start all over.
