The lamp's screw thread connections are poorly manufactured and the lamp stands crooked. Also, the light shades were dinged and deformed during delivery. Delivery damages aside, I'm very disappointed with the overall poor quality of this product.

An oldie-but-goodie lamp concept that I remember fondly from the 1950s. The cool retro look works in my living room for reading, needlework and ambient lighting. It works just as well in my office, where I have one "bullet" pointed at the computer, one at the desk and one straight up. The brushed steel has a quality look and the swivel heads work smoothly so far and stay where you put them, unlike some much fancier and more expensive task lights where the arms collapse under the weight of the shade (I'm talking about you, Tolomeo). These are simple, practical, versatile lighting tools that, to my mind, are worth more than the price.

I looked at nearly every tree lamp on Amazon and chose this one based on the relatively high reviews. The one prior review about the poor packaging gave me pause, but I figured it was a fluke. It was not. The box arrived falling apart, the stryfoam inside was crumbling, taped together, and supplemented with styrofoam peanuts. One of the three lamps was broken completely off the pole. Even if it were not broken, I would not have liked this lamp. The shades are thin and cheap looking and appear to be plastic, not metal. I do give five starts to Amazon for their excellent return policies they refunded my money right away and told me to dispose of the broken lamp (rather than having to send it back).

This floor lamp was just what I was looking for. The glass table made it even better, just right for a glass, or reading glasses. I use it for the end table between sofa and chair.

I like the hight, and that it uses a 3 way bulb. The lamp is simple and elegant, goes with any decor.

Delivery was fast, and setup was easy. The shade can be changed, but I like the one that came with the lamp. For me, the price was right, and free shipping. A great purchase for me.

First of all I'm pissed!!!!!!! I bought this lamp like couple of weeks ago for 230$!!!! And look at this now it's a hundred $ less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crazy! My wife and I received the pans in this set for our wedding over 3 years ago. They have been excellent despite very heavy use from us. The non-stick still doesn't stick and there is almost no discoloration. They are very easy to clean because the entire pan is non-stick, not just the inside. The silicon on the handle does an excellent job of protecting your hand from being burnt even at high temperatures.

The only problem we've had is that on a few of the pans the silicon part of the handle came loose. I submitted a request to their customer service department on the web and had brand new pans within a week at no cost to me.

Hot oatmeal can stick to the sides of some pans like concrete. The Anolon 1 1/2 quart saucepan is perfect for two people and is extremely easy to clean. The glass lid allows me to view the erupting oatmeal and turn down the heat before the stove is covered with oatmeal lava.

I purchased the Anolon Advanced cookware set for my wife two years ago and it is still going strong. The non-stick surface is durable and each piece has held up beautifully. I will say, we do not put the pans in the dishwasher. We have only hand wash them so I don't know what the detergent might do to the finish over time. But I will say that I am (and my wife) very happy with the Anolon set and have purchased extra items to add to our cookware arsenal.

The product arrived on time and packaged very well. The glass is as pictured minus that metal rim. It diffuses the light as it is a linen color. It worked well for my ceiling fan, but I still think $48 is steep since tey are very basic.

We ordered 2 lamps through Amazon at the same cost we could have purchased them locally because we would have had to wait 3 months to special order them. The lamps came within a week or so. The lamps are GREAT. The lamp shades had glue on one and a wire protruding out on the other. Amazon replaced both with no problem. The lamps are very detailed and appear to be well made.

These are very nice fiber optics that you can use for all sorts of different things. They are advertised for bottles, but I plan on using mine for some different crafts. The battery base, which you can't see behind the bottle in the picture, is not very big so it can be easily concealed.

only 1 of the 3 actually works properly, the other 2 are very dim, as the batteries seem to be dead. also when opening the battery compartment, there seems to be some corrosion on the batteries themselves.

Home Depot has these for literally half this price! They stock them in clear in my store and also have them available online. Not sure if they have the colors, though. Check them out before spending this much!

1. The surface is full of imperfections, not the kind that enhances the hand made quality, but something that just says poor craftsmanship.

2. There is a metal ring which you can see in the photo, that screams "cheap"

3. Comes with no instructions and is not easy to hang.

4. This should have been priced at $30, considering its poor quality and craftsmanship.

Needless to say its going back, wasted time and money on this effort.

Works great in my kitchen. We've had the lights in for five months now. We took out the flourescent and put in canned lights with four of these hanging Pendants. I think it's a huge improvement and the pendants are a nice design feature, but definitely needed the canned lights also for bright kitchen light. We have pendants on a dimmer, which makes for nice mood lighting. Definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful lamp and well-made. I haven't brought this lamp to my beach home and when I do I hope it looks good in my room and with my decor. I gave it four stars because even though the lamp was packaged very well my bottom starfish was loose. There are rods that stick out from the reef that attaches the shell items to the lamp. I discovered the bottom starfish was not firmly attached and came off the rod. I called Lamps Plus Customer Service to tell them about my situation. I did ask what the best glue would be to attach the starfish because I didn't want to send the lamp back when everything else was fine. I was told to purchase some Gorilla Glue to glue the piece back on. When I asked if they would send me the glue, I was told they don't carry it. Since I already paid almost $200 for this lamp it ticks me off that I would have to shell out more money to repair this lamp myself. I was not even offered a discount because the lamp was not all intact. Since this lamp was so expensive I am disappointed that it was not inspected before shipping. If it had, this imperfection would have been discovered and I wouldn't have to be repairing a brand new lamp.

Great price for such a beautiful lamp! Granted, it's taller than most table lamps, but I put this one on my nightstand and it looks so chic. The light is soft, yet bright enough for me to read. It has a little roll switch on the wire, which makes it effortless to turn off. I'll be getting the floor lamp next!

I ordered 2 of these as nightstand lights. They really add a nice compliment to our bedroom decor. We use the 13 watt fluorescent bulbs for brighter light than the 40 watt incandescent.

I've read complaints about the switch location. Buyers must be aware that the switch is on the cord. And honestly, with this kind of light, where else could it possibly be?

I actually bought this from the Verilux website (sorry Amazon...) but wanted to put in my 2 cents. Although I agree with other reviewers that it seems quite cheaply made, it's handy, lightweight and compact. Plus Verilux lets you return it for a full refund (postage paid) within 30 days if it doesn't work. The woman I spoke to at Verilux said I'd know within the first hour if it would work for me. I've been using it for just a few days, but it helps give me energy and seems to make me happier. Not that I've been depressed really (lots of good things in my life just now). But it's been a dreary winter so far and I was finding myself just dragging around and feeling generally unmotivated and very irritated. PLUS, all I want to do is eat carbs (sugar!) all day. Hence the dreaded holiday/winter weight gain! Since using this lamp, all my symptoms have eased a bit. Which is pretty amazing considering it's nearly Christmas -a hyper stressful time for me and no opportunity to do much exercise! I say try it and see. You've got nothing to lose.

I live in central new york and couldn't stand to be without this in the winter. Have had it for a year now and use it every day, sometimes for hours in the summer I keep it up on top of my fridge to brighten up my dark kitchen, and in the winter it supplies the ambient light for my office. I rarely put it directly in front of me because that would cut down on the time I could use it. So it gets a ton of use, and after a year the original bulbs are still going strong. Also it seems to be far more durable than it looks it has fallen to the floor a couple of times (bad kitty!) and held up perfectly.

I agree with the other reviewers that the lamp is made very cheaply and durability is questionable, but it does have a 3yr. warranty. I was fortunate to buy one when there was a promotion, so basically BOGOF and for that reason kept it at a 5 star rating. If I'd paid $90 a piece, then I would rate it a 3. As for the light, I was amazed at how bright and white it was at the high setting, which I like for my office while working on the computer. I placed the other one on my nightstand and use the lower setting. It's perfect for reading and really seems to give my BR a calming ambience. I haven't used them long enough to determine if it will help w/ the winter blues, but think it might. Also one of its best features is flicker-free illumination without generating EMFs. For those of you that use feng shui, this is very important.

I saw this exact same lamp while shopping in a medium to high-end, independent furniture store (i.e. not a chain store where everything is cookie cutter style), and fell in love with it. It was priced at a bit more than I wanted to pay for a floor lamp so I wrote the model number down and decided to think about it for a few days. I checked Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had it and the price was $40 less than what the furniture store was asking plus free shipping so I decided to order it and cross my fingers that it really was the same lamp I saw in the store. It just arrived today (less than 48 hours after I ordered it!!!!) I put it together in a matter of minutes, stuck a light bulb in and am absolutely thrilled with my purchase. Everything is sturdy and well made right from the base and "stem" down to the on/off pull chain. The shade is very unique which is one of the things that attracted me it's made of rice paper with a subtle leaf pattern embedded in it. Highly recommend this!
