Highly recommend this light, especially for the price.

Note: There is no filter. There is no screen. However, with that said, based on the height of your pole, then bulb is not easily seen unless you angle yourself underneath the light. When the lights are on, it illuminates the entire can giving you the impression that there is a filter/screen.

We installed three of these lights and really like them. Will post some photos.

AWESOME pendant for the price. I looked for MONTHS for a pendant of this style that was better priced than the nearly identical Benson pendant from Restoration Hardware. We are extremely happy with them. Was a little concerned about the finish since I ordered them online but they are a beautiful chrome. Would highly recommend.

Kathy Ireland Amor Collection 26" High Accent Table LampThis lamp had good reviews, and I liked the style of it, but in the photo of it it showed "regular" light bulbs. When I received the lamp it had been reworked to use the "new" type bulbs that are very expensive. Also the light bulbs almost touch the glass shade. I didn't want to bother to send it back since I had used my Amazon points to purchase it. It looks nice, but if I'd bought it at a local store, I would probably have returned it. I really don't like being forced away from using the type of bulbs I prefer. I don't care for the look of the ones they want you to switch to. It is fine to offer the option, but the consumer should be able to choose and not have to pay $5 for a bulb! Pretty lamp, but the description should state what bulbs to use.

Not a bad product, it provides light like any other lamp, could have shipped with a fluorescent that has whiter light, but nothing a quick trip to home depot cant fix. The only problem I have is that the base is very round and curved so it eats up quite a bit of desktop real estate and it doesnt help that you cant place anything onto the base.

These are attractive and well built torches. The canisters come out easily for refilling. I would like to have had a larger canister -the ones I am replacing were larger which meant less refilling. I also liked the clear canisters in my old ones better than these black ones.The clear made them easier to fill. With these I have to pour out the contents into a measuring cup then fill the cup up to 16 ounces and pour the contents back into the canister. Not too much trouble but still prefer the clear containers so that I could see the contents as I filled them.

These are much nicer looking than my old ones and I believe they will last longer. I use one of them without the pole and will point out that the wick cover that is used to snuff out the flame and protect the wick from getting wet in the rain is attached to the top section of the pole so it has to be unhooked and used without the little chain that secures it to the pole. Loosing it is a possibility since it is not attached. The chains connected to the pole were loose so I wrapped them with black electrical tape to keep secured to the pole. I was afraid to bend the little hook too much because it looked so fragile.

These do help reduce the amount of insects flying around the patio and add to the ambiance in the evening. Sadly the price of fuel is very high now, more than doubled in about two years, so that is a factor when it comes to how many of these things you might want to use. it takes about $15 worth of fuel to fill four of these. I estimate that they will burn for 6-8 hours if the wick is set at about one inch.

I received one of the torches that was damaged and returned it. I think that if one of these falls over and lands on the hard surface of the patio it will crack. The outside container is fragile.

I have always had the cheaper tiki torches that are wooden and only last a season or two. I was looking for something of higher quality, but didn't want to invest the $20+/apiece into a full metal or glass tiki torch, as I wanted 6 around my patio. These are great; have been outside for a month or two, through 2 very large thunderstorms that brought down trees, and through some very intense sun and heat days. There is no fading, the resin still looks brand new, and the metal poles they attach to are of good quality-the tiki torches withstood the high winds that some of my trees didn't! I'm sure they would be fine to leave out in the winter, but just for safety's sake I store all of my things in the shed on the off season. They are incredibly versatile, as well; can be put in the ground at multiple height adjustments, can be attached to the deck without being put into the ground, and the top can be unscrewed and used as a table top torch if you wish. I have tried all of the ways to use them, and all are very secure. Would definitely recommend them for the price; Amazon prime shipping got them there in 2 days all in one piece, took about 10 mins to have them all set up.

I love the flexibility of these torches! I bought them to clip to my deck, but I have also used them on a table and staked in the ground (full height). I've received may complements on them this summer. I even bought colored fuel for the 4th of July celebration so the flames were red and green. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for deck torches.

I purchased my first Tizio Artemide over 20 years ago, and that one is still running in my household. At the time, it was one of the first Halogen low-voltages lamps, and the bulb itself was taken directly from a car headlamp. I loved the lamp, as it's design is a rare mix of sheer design beauty and functionality. The light given off by the lamp can be glaring, which is why the transformer has two settings (low/high). It took me a while (about 5 years), but I found out that these lamps are equally great at giving light not only as a 'Task Lamp' (i.e. shining down on your desk), but also as an indirect light source (by turning the head so that it illuminates towards the ceiling).

Earlier models of this lamp had neither the small handle, nor the glass plate that prevents a white-hot bulb from accidentally falling out, and some fires have reportedly started that way. Also, earlier models suffered from spark erosion, making the internal wires in the head brittle over time. Also, the white version of this lamp used to be the black model, painted white with a rather sub-par paint job. I've never purchased the white version, and haven't seen them available lately.

Over time, I have purchased four of these lamps, and the design improvements are subtle, but notable. The aforementioned glass plate and handle are great additions, and a better internal wiring promises to delay the on-set of wire fatigue.

Twenty years of constant use (with the occasional lamp change, about once every two to three years) have not disappointed. I still think that this is one of the best-looking, best designed lamps, and just today I purchased the fifth (in medium size). I can wholeheartedly recommend this lamp to anyone who is looking for a timeless lamp with great functional design.

I looked long and hard to find a contemporary design and functional desk lamp. This is a good option. The problem is the connectors don't hold the lamp up any longer. It's a design flaw. To find a fix, I checked Artemide's website, I called their tel. line and I emailed them, but got no answer to the "customer service" line, got one email saying I must utilize another email for my query but that email didn't elicit a reply at all. TERRIBLE customer service. As much as I'd like to recommend this item, you can't count on the quality of the construction, you can't rely on the company to fix the defective product and you can't even get guidance from them on how to fix it yourself. Spend your money elsewhere.

I got what I expected and I think it was worth the money. The only thing I didn't like was the cheap bulb sent with it. The paint on the light bulb fell off and the helmet looked too light. And I think it would look better with a special very dark blue bulb instead of an old christmas light.

I purchased 2 of these lamps for my dog related bedroom. The detail on them is really nice. Far better looking in person then I ever thought possible. They are a nice size. I like the fact that the base isn't too big to take up too much room on my night stand. It's tall enough to read by and cast a good light in the room. My shades look a tad bit different in person as far as color. Mine are more of a wine color, but they match my bedroom perfectly. My monitor shows the shades being more of a brown, so if the shade color is important to you, I'd find out what color you'd be getting before ordering them. The seller shipped them right away. I got them very quickly. Overall, the lamps are fantastic and the seller is wonderful to deal with!

This is an extremely beautiful lamp. Even the box containing it had an elegant shape, and I was really excited to open it when I saw the slim figure of the lamp. However, two fundamental problems exist.

First, the light is not bright enough. This wouldn't be much of the trouble if you can better adjust the angle; however, as I will mention below, it does not fully cover the big textbook. Second, which relates to the first problem, is that you can't adjust the angle of the light. You can only vertically lift the neck from 0 degree angle to up; you can't twist it left or right. You might have the same urge as I did to breake it a bit to better light the book...

The switch to turn it on/off is another disappointment as well, as it feels fragile and cheaply made. I am probably going to keep this as I already have another lamp, but serioously consider the brightness issue plus its angle problem before you buy it.

Experience:

As a college student, this is a great lamp especially if you have little desk space and poor lighting. The awesome feature about this lamp is that is can fold down when you are not using it and takes up a small corner of your desk. It seems people have been stressing the lamp brightness (or lack thereof) which made me hesitant in buying this at first, but there are no problems with brightness. I actually think anything brighter would hurt my eyes. It does get pretty warm when on for an extensive period of time, but I wouldn't really say it gets hot.

Night Light:

It's like a bonus. Just don't get this lamp exclusively for its night light feature. It helps when you're watching a movie on the computer and you still want to see the keyboard to chat or something.

Look and Feel:

The matte texture of the neck and stand is finely grained (for those of you who own a Playstation 2 or 3, it feels like that), and the head is a glossy black. A pretty minimalist and modern design--it looks very professional.

Pros:

-The light is diffused uniformly unlike other LED lamps with a cone of light.

-Low-profile and detachable power cord. It resembles a phone charger.

-Decent price. Although it looks like the price went up a little since I bought it, if you're looking for a good quality LED lamp (especially on Amazon) for a good price, this might be your best bet. Lamps are expensive ):

Possible Cons:

-When opening and folding the lamp, it may be a little stiff.

-For some reason the power cord plugs into the top-back of the lamp. The cord can be tucked behind the neck.

-Which brings up another con: the back of the neck is open/hollow. This makes the lamp in the picture look nicer than it really is, but don't get me wrong, its a nice lamp and the plastic is thick.

This is an elegant LED lamp with a beautifully curved neck that resembles a swan. I like that instead of using several high powered large LEDs like the Z-bar, they opted for clusters of smaller low powered LEDs that offers the same overall brightness. This allows the lamp to deliver a uniform light without bright spots, and run cooler thus less energy being wasted to heat, a true green product at heart!

They have also added several minute nuances such as the dimmer night light, ruff surface on the base to avoid unwanted light reflection into the eye, and Apple-esque finish on the lamp head which in my opinion, projects the product to a new level of completeness not often seen in an emerging product.

If you are going to own any green product, this would definitely be the one to own.

This is a terrific lamp! I like the modern look and its light is extremely focused for reading. That means I can sneak downstairs at night and read without disturbing my dogs who enjoy sleeping in the dark family room! I also like the way this lamp's head folds down for storage. The folding design makes it smaller and seems to help protect the light from damage.

We purchased two of these lamps and love them both. One has perfect lines going around it (the black on the shade) and the other has choppier lines going around--you can tell they were probably hand applied, which makes each lamp unique. In a dark room, one lamp will light up the entire room enough to read. The only reason I gave this lamp 4 stars, is because the on/off switch is on the cord, which means you have to reach behind the night stand to turn it off. Otherwise, great lamp!

(In the technical details it says bulb not included, but in the product description, it says it is included. Ours DID come with bulbs included.)

I've had this lamp for a few months now. I like it. A lot. It has an art deco feel. Simple, yet not boring or cookie cutter. Each shade appears to be somewhat unique (the process of blowing the glass and applying the intersecting lines is not robotic which results in some small and charming variances from shade to shade).

Purchased the lamp for a bed side table that was small so wanted something that was just the right size plus be a good light source for bedtime reading. Hit a home run with this lamp. It is the perfect size, puts out the right amount of light for bedside reading and is a very nice looking addition to the table. Love the switch on the cord which makes it more convenient to reach to turn off/on. Was glad I read other reviews before I purchased the lamp since they were correct in saying the light bulb does come with the lamp in spite of what the lamp description says. Am definitely pleased with this purchase.

I'm currently using it with a iPad controlled Phillips color changing LED bulb & the frosted glass becomes saturated with color. The stainless steel base is made with somewhat thin gauge metal but it has sufficient mass that I don't worry about knocking it over. The glass arrived in perfect condition.

The product itself seems sturdy and the pewter looks much better than my old 'gold' but be aware that 2 piece does not mean two harps. It means the bottom detaches from the top and you get only 1 harp in the package. Also it took a long time to arrive and I could have got them locally for a lesser price had I understood that it was only 1 harp.
