One Light Accent Lamp in Antique Brass Review

This is a great accent lamp, I use it on top of our intertaiment center, for just a little extra light.

The one thing I really don't care for is the shade, just isn't as nice as I would like it to be, not very well made.

I could not find a replacement shade, so I am struck with this shade.

This was a super cute lamp... until one day I set a metal necklace on the lamp base (it was plugged in but not turned on) connecting the two telescoping ends, connecting some sort of circuit and the lamp started to catch on fire! the base was smoking noxious burning plastic smoke.

I had bought two of these lamps (different batch numbers) and they both spark and start to catch on fire when you connect the two telescoping ends with anything metal. Yeah, the scientist in me wanted to see if it was reproducible.

DO NOT GET THIS LAMP!! I have reported it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the report is posted and searchable on their website.

I bought this lamp to read late at night without disturbing my sleeping spouse. This little lamp casts just enough concentrated light to read, and without the flickering that some earlier "booklights" produced. It works great and takes up very little space on my nightstand.

I bought this for its sleek look. Bad decision. I should have researched a bit more.

Opening the package, I noticed it's a lot smaller than I had thought. Assembly took almost no time, after switching it on --alas --what a big let down. Despite the number of LEDs, the light is still dim, and the area it lightens on the desk is barely able to cover a piece of letter sized paper, even when it's fully extended.

I would give it a one star for I really can't think of any use how to salvage this $30 purchase.

I bought this so I could see my keyboard without putting the main lights on and getting reflections and glare off my screen. Ideal, although another couple of inches of height would be nice. Enough light too to give a pool of light just big enough to read by, without dazzle.

If you want to light up the whole work surface though, this isn't it.

Arrived today in a huge box with lots of Styrofoam packing. It was very secure and came with complete instructions. Lead soldering is black and is not in perfect condition. If you stand and look at it very close you will see lots of imperfections, but from across the room on a table this little beauty shines. I have amber colored bulbs in it and it just enhances the color even more. Couldn't be more pleased with how it changed the whole look of my home.

Distinctive lamp for any space. Relatively easy for one person to put together. If you want a lamp that is elegant and not run of the mill, this is the one to purchase.

The lamp is very nice looking and true to the picture. Assembly was easy as well. However, the bolt at the bottom center of the base (where the cord feeds through) was too long and extends past the bottom of the base. So, the lamp is wobbly. I'm going to have to hacksaw the bolt or get some felt shims for the base so the lamp isn't crooked. Not what I expected for a $275 lamp and I certainly didn't want to go to the trouble of repackaging it and sending it back.

I have received, opened, but not yet assembled this lamp kit. So far, they do not look much like the photos. Description says wood. What's wood, the base? Rest of it, including the "pineapple" detail, is cheap, dust catching metal. Looks like bait and switch to me.

Not a bad product, it provides light like any other lamp, could have shipped with a fluorescent that has whiter light, but nothing a quick trip to home depot cant fix. The only problem I have is that the base is very round and curved so it eats up quite a bit of desktop real estate and it doesnt help that you cant place anything onto the base.

Pretty shade but its' size was wrong for us. It is quite wide, but short, in relation to its diameter. It requires, in my opinion, a large lamp with a wide, shorter base. I have had the need for numerous lamp shades over the past few months, and have bought several Laura Ashley shades--and sent back others. All of the lampshades Ihave seen were classy, and stylish--for the price. I try to buy through warehouse deals to keep costs even lower.

This lamp was recommended to us by our interior designer. We found it about 15% cheaper than her price on Amazon.com and went for it! Pros they are very heavy lamps

Now for the cons , in the picture it looks like red pieces of glass , well no red. Mine is more orange in both the lamps I bought . Disapointed here a little red would have realy set the lamp off. Now on to the base , the base color sucks , in the pick it looks brass and black colors , but in person these are a drab, brown .

I am editing my orignal review, after a week of putting up with these horribal looking lamps I am giving them away , I just cant stand them , they are just plain ugly . The colors in the shade are washed out and pale , cheep plastic glass in the shade, and of course made in china . I would avoid these at all costs

The description says this lamp is 28 inches tall. That's about the size of a large living room table lamp. However, the actual height is 25 and that's to the top of the lamp shade screw. Basically the lamp is more the scale of a bed side lamp and appears undersized in the living room. Other than that, it is well made.

This lamp seems to be of good quality, is quite attractive, and a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to buy it again, except that I thought the coloration of the glass at the bottom of the lampshade was in the green tones when I first looked at the pictures here and purchased it, but it's actually more of a light/aqua blue. I'm sure it varies a little from lamp to lamp. I'm not convinced that the color works in our living room, but if you have a little blue in yours, than this is a great buy!!

This is one of my favorite lamps. It was shipped fast and well packaged. In the picture, the lamp panels look more of a rose tone than it really is.
