I love my salt lamp.

Whether or not it actually provides physical environmental benefits, I do not know.

What I do know is that the glow it gives off is very soothing. It is somewhat a rose/peach glow.

I haven't had any issues with it "sweating" or getting wet as other reviewers have said, so I am limited in that aspect.

I would put one of these in every room if it weren't for the cost.

Goodness gracious! I have never seen such a beautiful product packaged so poorly. My lamps were stuffed into one medium sized box that was clearly damaged. The boxes that contained my lamps were severely damaged. The lamps themselves were almost out of the box. Also, with one of my lamps, the bulb was damaged and I am unable to replace it. I paid good money for shipping and I expect to receive my items in a respectable manner. Get it together people!

The lamp is a breeze to assemble. How hard is it to unfold and pop the top on? The person who rated the product as 1 star is really pushing it. This lamp is lovely, gives a nice warm glow (I use a CFL fixture in it) and just needs occasional dusting. If you want a great gift, this is it.

Pretty shade but its' size was wrong for us. It is quite wide, but short, in relation to its diameter. It requires, in my opinion, a large lamp with a wide, shorter base. I have had the need for numerous lamp shades over the past few months, and have bought several Laura Ashley shades--and sent back others. All of the lampshades Ihave seen were classy, and stylish--for the price. I try to buy through warehouse deals to keep costs even lower.

Nice quality, perfect for space! The only downside is the bulb is a small non standard base(candelabra). It is the type of fixture that the bulb is very visable. A vintagage style bulb shows well in this type of light...none availible in the candelabra style base.

After searching on line for a side table with lamp attached, I chose the Leick table. It was more expensive than 2 others I was considering but I really liked the look of this table. It looks great, but the construction of the lamp attachment is very poor. The instructions to put the table together were not that good. The instructions for the lamp portion consisted of a picture with numbers. Very poorly done. it seemed that a piece to keep the lamp stable was missing. I e-mailed the Leick contact to Check on this and a prompt reply told me how to finish the construction. I followed the instructions to the letter, but the lamp is still unstable. I wrote them back inquiring about any missing pieces, but got no reply. I wish I had bought one of the other tables at 1/4 the price.

Solid construction, easy assembly, this was the perfect fit for the space. The wood finish matches the other pieces in the room, and was true to the photos on the internet warm tones and not too dark.

Just put it together yesterday not too difficult but the directions are pretty scarce. Be aware that the clip that holds the lampshade base in may be filled with chunks of metal and your clip wont go in took a while and a good flashlight to determine this problem.

It looks good, but is China quality. The drawer stop is a piece of flexible plastic. The shelf is held in place by four metal push pins much like what is used in bookshelves and the force of the legs pushing against it. I think it is sturdy, but seems expensive for the size.

I like the side lamp table, it slide into a narrow space and provides the light for reading that I need. I do think that the item is overpriced for the size of the table. It does what I want it to do, so overall I am happy with the purchase. When the two tables arrived one of the lampshades was crushed, but the product was replaced right away without question and I was very happy with that.

Lets start with the positives! They look awesome! Very sleek and modern! Other people have mentioned the size...I thought they looked the same size in person as they did in the picture.

Onto the negatives (which weren't bad enough to return them though). The lampshades do sit a little wonky! I discovered this is because the shade sits on the bulb and the bulb doesn't screw in straight! Easy enough fix though! Put a small magnet on the high side and it levels right out! Also they do kind of take in a life of their own...turning on and off by themselves. Slightly annoying! Over all I feel like the positives out weigh the negatives!

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is at its best here. On this album, they pay tribute to William Levi Dawson and Duke Ellington, with great, intelligent compositions and performances. The "Negro Folk Symphony" is a deep, ear-pleasing performance with great horn work and the strings sound great. However, one of my favorites is Duke Ellington's "The River Suite". I, myself have played this piece and it is just as much fun to play as it is to listen to. My personal favorite movements are "Meander", "Giggling Rapids" and "Vortex". The whole piece is extremely soulful and still well-written. A definite favorite of mine, and it segways into a great performance of another one of Ellington's greatest pieces, "Solitude". However, the real show stopper here is "Harlem", originally written for trumpeter Cootie Williams. This features William Lucas and Walter White, two of the best all-around trumpet players today. They effortlessly extend into the stratosphere and play beautifully through this challenging arrangement. As the review from the critic says, "Talk about musicians knowing their chops!"

Fans of orchestral music and big band music will enjoy this one equally. The DSO is constantly blurring the line between the two styles and this particular outing works wonderfully. It's great to hear an album like this.

I bought this lamp for use while building scale models. For the cost, this is definitely a great asset to any model builder. Not only does it provide me with directed light, but the magnifier glass can be useful too. The only minor complaint would be while trying to get the magnifier very close the model it does not provide a lot of room for your tools sticking up out of your hand. Generally I wear a magnifying visor anyhow so this is only a minor issue for me. The light is bright white which helps for seeing true colors. You'll need to find a good place to mount the light so it'll be out of the way and have room for it to fully articulate to your needs. That being said, it does fold up on itself for the most part and takes up very little real estate. Regarding articulation, it moves very easily and is sturdy. You can make small adjustments to the light's position and it will hold in place. The springs that support the arm are heavy duty and it seems to be solidly built.

Price was good, shipping was quick and the 2 lamps were delivered in perfect condition. However, the lamp is incorrectly listed on Amazon as being 8-Diopter when it is a 5-Diopter. That is the reason for my lower rating. It clearly states on the boxes the lamps came in that they are 5-Diopter and the product number on the boxes and lamps matches the number ordered. The lower magnification works okay for my use, but some who order this item may not be able to use the 5-Diopter.

The daylight or natural light of the lamp is great for artists, as it shows the true colors of whatever you're working on. As a jewelry designer & beader, at times I need a magnifier to see tiny details & the magnifier in this lamp is extremely helpful for that. The head is very differcult to adjust. You have to make the bolt very tight otherwise it goes all over the place. The cover that goes over the lens to keep the dust off the lens will not stay up unless the head is level. I took it off. It is useless!. The light itself is very good. Would I buy in again? No !!
