I collect Tiffany-type lamps and I ordered this Angel Lamp to use as a bedside lamp on my nightstand. I will start by saying that the lamp arrived with lightning speed. I ordered it one day, and had it in my possession the next. I will also say that, in my vast experience with Amazon over many years, the fact that I am not returning the lamp is not at all the fault of Amazon. Returns are easy and efficient. I thought about returning the lamp, but I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of repackaging such a fragile item. I have chosen, instead, to use the lamp in a room other than that for which it was intended.

Here are the issues:

1. In the description of the item, and also evident in the photo, the lamp is clearly described as having two pull-chains beneath the shade and accommodate two bulbs. In actuality, the lamp requires only one (60-watt or less) flame-type bulb, and has no chain operation. It has an inline switch which makes it very difficult to turn it on and off when in bed as the switch is behind my bed. As a bedside lamp, the pull chains would have been far more convenient and are the main reason I ordered this particular lamp. Another reason for choosing this one was the angel theme. The angel theme appealed to me for use in the bedroom as a sort of "Guardian Angel." However...

2. The colors of the glass in this lamp are very, very dark when the lamp is not illuminated. The wings of the angel are actually a very dark shade of navy blue. When the lamp is off, the wings are practically invisible which makes the angel just look like a girl in a pink dress.

3. Lastly, the joints of the pieces of stained glass are extremely rough. I tried to dust the styrofoam particles off the lampshade when I first unpacked it and it was a bit of a chore as the cloth kept snagging on the roughness of the wire/solder (not sure what to call this.) I do not have this problem with any of my other stained glass lamps. They are very smooth and easy to care for.

As I said, I am keeping the lamp. I am reviewing it solely as a "heads up" to those who may be considering ordering it and expecting a two-bulb, two-chain lamp.

I haven't done this before but will try to post a few pictures.

Cheap ORE International 6117IV 27-Inch 60-Watt Ceramic Table Lamp, Ivory

First of all, the 6117BK lamp I received only measured 25.75 inches tall with the shade stuck on the socket, not the advertised 27 inches tall. The black two prong power cord measures 60 inches. There is a thin beige colored cardboard piece that sits between the black ceramic piece and the bottom gold metal piece. You can't see it from across the room, but it is noticeable closer up. The shade construction is adequate. It has three thin rods starting from the top ring, equidistant, angling inward/downward converging onto a small ring (1.5 inches) which then simply pressure fits onto the plastic bulb socket, just above the plastic knob turn switch. I had to turn the shade so that the shade mounting ring/rods would not interfere with being able to turn the switch. If the lamp were to fall over onto the shade, chances are good that the plastic bulb socket will crack, or break. There is a felt-like bottom glued onto the base. My lamp came with gold colored top and bottom, not silver like in the photo. The description does state gold accents. I was hoping for the silver. The listing advertises this lamp as 60 watt. The safety sticker stuck on the bulb socket says max 100 watt bulb. At only 5 lbs, it's a little on the light side. The base is not weighted. This lamp is really a $19.95 value, but due to the huge box it ships in, we pay more for the higher cost of shipping. The Chinese manufacturer box my lamp came in measures 26" x 21" x 13". Amazon shipped it inside an even bigger outer second box. The lamp box contained a barely protected shade, and a bubble wrapped lamp base, able to roll around or hit the shade cardboard packing. My shade arrived dented, but I was able to push it back out. No additional pieces, or instruction/information sheet is included. There is tons of empty space inside the box. Easily fit four stacked shades, and four lamp bases IMO. I would have been happier if it was actually 27" tall, and happier still had it been the silver color accents. I'm debating a return.

I really like these lamps. Ordered two for my bedroom. I didn't feel like driving around shopping for lamps so I took a chance ordering online and couldn't be happier. The lamps themselves are very nice are have a high quality appearance. The lamp shades are great. They are just large enough to add enough substance to these smallish lamps. It really is great to be able to get lamps delivered the next day with Amazon Prime for $3.99 shipping cost after you accidentally break your current lamp and need a quick replacement.

Lamp is okay but the lampshade was delivered misshapen due to the packaging. I didn't spend a lot on the lamp but I am disappointed in the condition of the lampshade. I will have to purchase another shade. I contacted the company.

First off let me say that the lamp and it's shade were purchased in Burgundy and they arrived in perfect condition & matched. The base was bubble wrapped to within an inch of it's life so it would have taken alot to damage it lol. The shade came wrapped in thin plastic, no damage but it could have been packaged in a sturdier box. Another possible is that they need to put FRAGILE stickers on the boxes.

The shade and lamp are perfect for what I needed it for. A simple end table size/type of lamp for my living room. My one and only complaint about the lamp itself is that the cord is on the short side but that seems to be the norm for lamps these days. I wish they cords were a tad bit longer. I don't like having the cord stretched along the wall for 3ft or so. I will more than likely order an extension cord so it can run along the floorboards instead.

The quality of the product is very good, but given its 27 inch height, it is too broad. It might be perfect for a large night stand in your bedroom but certainly not for small spaces.

The light itself is cool but the brightness is intense, and adjustable to five levels each of three lighting modes. The flexible neck puts the light right where you need it. My wife is a quilter and it has really made her work much easier. Now I want every lamp and light in our home to be this good.

I expected more for $55 plus $8 shipping. Yes, it is cute, my wife loves it, and it is small which I like. But the lamp is crooked. The pedestal is not plumb, and the upper part is crooked relative to the pedestal. It even rocks a little on the base. It seems very cheaply made (in India by the way). I had to take out the standard 60 watt bulb and use a CFL instead, because it got way too hot. I started to smell it, and I think the paint would have scorched had I not changed the bulb. If I could have had my way I'd have gone with the Normande Lighting AM3-624A Compact Fluorescent Banker's Lamp, only $44 AND FREE SHIPPING! But my wife did not want green. The wife likes it so I give it two stars.

This light is great for use on a music stand. With two light bulbs, it easily casts light over the entire music stand. I don't like the blue light that you get from LED lamps. The bulbs that you use in this lamp can be either clear for lots of bright light, or soft for a more subtle light. I personally buy the clear bulbs for my aging eyes.

It is expensive compared to most clip on LED stand lights but you won't buy another one after you have used this lamp. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I use this lamp on sturdy Manhasset music stands.

after two years of use, one of the two sockets become defective and inoperative. It provided good light when both sockets were operative but less so when only one is functioning. Also, it is a little tight to insert(or remove) the bulbs. Overall, I would buy another if I could expect that it would not half fail after another two years.

I absolutely ADORE this lamp. I have a Steinway Baby Grand, size M and have played classical music for years. I have used lamps, all kinds and never got around to getting a proper light to read music by. The minute I received the lamp and plugged it in and used it,I could see the notes better than ever before. My friends who have proper lights on their grand piano do not have a lamp as perfect as this one, the house of Troy. It is not too 5 stars for sure large, (the black one blends in well with a black piano). I can turn this light on in a completely dark room and see the music perfectly. 5 stars for sure.

This lamp looks great on my grand piano and provides ample light. It was easy to install onto the piano, and easy to insert the lightbulbs. I would have preferred a switch on the end of the lamp housing itself rather than the in-line switch, but it works fine. The description seems to imply that there is a clamp near the in-line switch, presumably to keep the wire from dangling into the piano, but there isn't one on mine.

Update after a few months of use: I've noticed that when playing the piano, certain bass notes cause a resonance frequency that makes this lamp vibrate and buzz. I have meen unable to adjust the lamp in a way that it will not buzz.

I ordered two of these "Cheap Simple Table Lamp" wood and matchstick lanterns and was absolutely stunned when they arrived! They are large and exquisitely made! All of the woodwork is finished like fine furniture so smooth and fine-grained you can't believe you're touching wood, and the rice-paper and matchstick shades produce the loveliest soft warm glow. I use plug-in lamp dimmers on mine so I can adjust the light to any level of intensity. The photos do NOT do them justice at all, and you really have to see them in person to appreciate the artistry, craftmanship, and quality of these "Cheap Simple" lanterns.
