I collect Tiffany-type lamps and I ordered this Angel Lamp to use as a bedside lamp on my nightstand. I will start by saying that the lamp arrived with lightning speed. I ordered it one day, and had it in my possession the next. I will also say that, in my vast experience with Amazon over many years, the fact that I am not returning the lamp is not at all the fault of Amazon. Returns are easy and efficient. I thought about returning the lamp, but I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of repackaging such a fragile item. I have chosen, instead, to use the lamp in a room other than that for which it was intended.

Here are the issues:

1. In the description of the item, and also evident in the photo, the lamp is clearly described as having two pull-chains beneath the shade and accommodate two bulbs. In actuality, the lamp requires only one (60-watt or less) flame-type bulb, and has no chain operation. It has an inline switch which makes it very difficult to turn it on and off when in bed as the switch is behind my bed. As a bedside lamp, the pull chains would have been far more convenient and are the main reason I ordered this particular lamp. Another reason for choosing this one was the angel theme. The angel theme appealed to me for use in the bedroom as a sort of "Guardian Angel." However...

2. The colors of the glass in this lamp are very, very dark when the lamp is not illuminated. The wings of the angel are actually a very dark shade of navy blue. When the lamp is off, the wings are practically invisible which makes the angel just look like a girl in a pink dress.

3. Lastly, the joints of the pieces of stained glass are extremely rough. I tried to dust the styrofoam particles off the lampshade when I first unpacked it and it was a bit of a chore as the cloth kept snagging on the roughness of the wire/solder (not sure what to call this.) I do not have this problem with any of my other stained glass lamps. They are very smooth and easy to care for.

As I said, I am keeping the lamp. I am reviewing it solely as a "heads up" to those who may be considering ordering it and expecting a two-bulb, two-chain lamp.

I haven't done this before but will try to post a few pictures.

Catalina Green Banker's Lamp Review

What a shame! I order this specifically because it was listed as 100 watts. What do I find after I ordered two of them just another cheap ass lamp that is ONLY 60 watts! Talk about bait and switch. It will be too much of a pain in the butt to return, especially getting it back in the box and having to pay shipment because it is not sold by Amazon. I will however file a complaint with Amazon about this shoddy deception from Officemax. I will never buy from them ever again!

My step dad had a lamp just like this in his office for years and he loved it but last Christmas it wasn't turning on anymore. So I found this one and it is so close to the old one you can't tell a difference. It puts off a great green glow when it is the only light on in the room and offers plenty white light below the shade.

Only issue was with putting one of the lamps together. It was crooked at first so took it apart again & receiving thread in bottom of main tube was inn to far. One star off for that. Was able to unscrew it so it was placed properly and lamp was perfect after that! Assembly was simple otherwise and wrench was included.

Product arrived very promptly, packaged well, and was exactly what I was hoping for. Good quality slate pieces match my slate tile tables well. Shades are actually a nice microfiber texture, better quality than I had expected.

Very nice lamp considering the price and design. The design is really eye catching and I get a lot of good comments about its looks. I think it would be difficult to find a lamp with such a unique design at an affordable price anywhere but Amazon.

I give it only four stars because the quality is medicore. The resin base on mine is not quite symmetrical and the whole lamp is a slightly crooked. The light bulb socket was slightly bent on the one I received. However, you would have to look very close to notice any of these flaws.

Also note that the lamp is much darker than most items listed as oil rubbed bronze. It is almost black.

Overall, glad I bought it.

It's really difficult to find Tiffany lamps in these colors (much less in the hanging dragonfly pattern!) at an affordable price, making this is an incredible find! Most lamps in these colors are Mission-styled, which can be beautiful, but are generally very large and/or extremely expensive. I've always wanted a dragonfly Tiffany lamp for my bedroom, but could never find one that would match, which, IMHO, detracts from the beauty of the lamp. This is now on my bedroom dresser, which needs a medium-sized, not TOO large, lamp. The 18hx12w size is perfect, and when the lamp is on, the dragonflies seem to glow. I believe this shade/lamp style also comes in very small accent and large living room sizes, and there's a hanging shade too.

The colors are exactly as shown, and the workmanship is excellent. While I didn't get this lamp here on Amazon (finding it at a significantly lower price elsewhere at "Perfume 'n Things", but with an option for an Amazon checkout (which I used)), it came quickly and was perfectly packaged and in perfect shape. I emailed customer service once with a question, and was answered very quickly.

For me, this is the perfect lamp the right size, color, design, shape and price. I've been looking for this lamp for 20 years, lol, and I'm ecstatic to have finally found it (in case you couldn't tell), and have no qualms recommending both the lamp and the store.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program If you are looking for a fairly sturdy table lamp with a low price point, you found one. This light does the job, but don't expect many features.

First off, the picture is misleading. There is no green or yellow on this lamp. The power cord is black and the inside of the lampshade is white, but everything else is a sky blue.

The switch to turn the lamp on and off is on the cord, about a foot away from the lamp. A switch on the base or neck of the lamp would have worked much better. Speaking of the base, it has some heft to it, so this lamp is steady until the entire lamp head is about two inches away from being over the base.

There is a 13-watt CFL bulb included, which is the equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent. I like this, but don't buy this lamp if you are not going to stick with CFLs, because 13 watts is the max output this lamp is rated for.

The lampshade itself looks nice when the lamp is off, but feels rather cheap almost like a thick poster board. It does a decent job spreading the light while preventing you from looking at the blinding light coming from the bulb, but there is a very noticeable 1/2-inch wide seam on one side that looks like a black stripe when the light is on.

For under $20, I'm not disappointed, but this is a pretty bare-bones product. Buy it if you need a gooseneck light and don't care about looks or a line switch; otherwise, move along.

I gave this lamp 5 Stars because for a $14 lamp it is great: the base is weighty, the gooseneck is firm and it takes energy saving bulbs. Like most right handed artists, I need light coming across from my left to reduce my own shadows, and this does the job well. Far better than the $15 book lights I was using with varied success before. The lampshade is a treat, as I cannot tolerate looking at a bare bulb. It's rare that I can find a little light that is adjustable, and doesn't require the bare bulb shining at you for it to be effective. Is it a lamp to light up a room? Of course not. Will it light up your immediate area fairly well? It will.

Like pretty much every other low-wattage lamp on earth, it does have a cord switch on it. I really don't understand why some people would complain about such a universally common thing. I personally find it handy to have the switch closer to you than the lamp is. You don't have to reach as far, which is more of a convenience than a hinderance to me. I guess if you have enough time and space in your life to complain about where light switches exist, you're doing pretty good.

The gooseneck stem is a little bit difficult to manipulate. Be careful when unpacking the lamp, or the shade may crease or dent.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic little lamp! It's quite small, but very bright, and throws off a strong, warm light that is sufficient for a medium-sized bedroom.

Although small, it's very sturdy, and actually quite heavy for its size. It stays in place, and won't slip around on a table or topple over if you have it on the carpet.

Be aware that it is very blue. There are no green, yellow, or pale tones. From the shade to the base, the lamp is a vibrant, single-toned sky blue.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this lamp. Based on my experience with this lamp, I'll gladly recommend it and I'll certainly be on the lookout for Normande products in the future.

The best part of this lamp is the shade, it is stunning. I was looking for a lamp with a southwestern flair but not one that was "over the top" This is just subtle enough and the light it emits is great! Wow! Amazing! I love this lamp! It's trendy with out being too crazy. I really wanted this in front of my teal accent wall. It really stands out. I wasn't willing to spend waaaay more for the chandelier on other sites. I figure a table lamp will be easier to reach to dust anyways. Which you will have to do often.
