The chandelier itself is not huge but not tiny. It's a beautiful creamy color, a little darker than shown in the picture. I set it up in my salon with a dimmer and people would not stop complimenting me on it. Everyone that passes by says that my chandelier is stunning. It has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. And for the price, it was a deal! Definitely recommend this!

This lamp is very small and very dim. We could hardly see a thing, had to return it. If you need only a small amount of light for atmosphere, it may be ok. It only takes 60 watts and the shade filters out a lot it.

I bought two. Very nice. Only one issue though...the cord cover is 3 separate 1 foot pieces and the cord for the lamp is about 6 feet long. I ended up using Cordmate covers and painting them the color of the wall.

The sconces look great in my bedroom and create the exact amount of mood lighting a person would want in their bedroom. My problem with these China made sconces is the GIANT WHITE sticker stating "Made in China and required bulb wattage" placed directly in the front, center of the bronze bulb holder! The sticker is a huge eye sore from any distance in the room and cannot be removed without pulling off some of the bronze finish. I even attempted warming the glue with a hot towel before removing the sticker it still pulled off some of the finish. I'm willing to live with the ruined finish for now, rather than see a giant white sticker each time I enter the room, but I would not recommend these sconces because of that issue alone.

Arrived in your typical china-made cheap box with styrofoam packing. All parts present, including a small wrench. Assembles easily. Was very much what I expected for the price and catalog picture. The metal construction is all one piece that attaches to the small metal base with built in bolts. I was hoping it was not two or three pieces like some lamps this tall. The finish is matte black and no scratches. The chain looks nice. It is heavy enough to not feel cheap.

The seam on the back of the lampshade shows more than I would like.

Overall, a welcome addition to my home.

This lamp is well manufactured with an all metal body and is a good light source. If you are using a drafting table or have the lamp clamped to any angled surface, it will not be able to maintain position and the head will drag down under its own weight. To solve this problem it is necessary to also buy a separate adjustable table clamp such as this Adjustable Lamp Clamp Black in order to align the lamp to properly maintain its position. The springs that hold tension on the joints are also only held on by a groove and can easily come off. I've read elsewhere that the housing of the florescent bulb's starter will burn up and not function after about a year of use and is hard to replace, but I have not used the lamp long enough to experience this.

Inside Out Review:

Received today, and after a careful looking over it looks to be a nice solid lamp for any kids room. Bulb mount shade over a standard "A" bulb. There was a tag on in that stated "This lamp has a night light feature". I have yet to determine what that entails after careful inspection. There was a dark spot near one of the dino feet which I thought might be a photo-electric cell but could just be a "drill error fill" but nothing to draw the eye to outright.

The arms, well they dont have much detail, as a matter of fact I had feared they were broken during my unpacking inspection. Fear not, they appear to be nothing but nubs, probably to prevent possible damage. I am ever the optimist, but to get past it, you must remember, it is meant for a kid.

Packaging. There is no "box in a box" package. What you order is directly inside with a styrofoam mold up to the neck of the item and a pic of the item on the outside of the box. The shade is resting on top just under the lid. Could have been damaged if overturned aggresively. White sealstrap enclosing the box.

If this is a gift you intend to wrap make sure the recepient is not at home. I got lucky, he was at grandmas!

In all I think this a quality gift for any kid, not just an ordinary lamp, but something they will smile at and enjoy. Feels nice, and weighty for its size. Will see how it holds up to use.

Worth the money "I" spent! (approx $50 hence the "star" rating) I would never have paid the crossed off listing price. It's not up to "that" quality.

This ceiling light is alot prettier than the picture shows. The leaf design is green, not gold, and there are clear-glass cabochons in the leaves. The mosaic tiles are pastel-colored iridescent; pale lavender, sea green and pale blue tinted. It sparkles even when the light is not turned on. At night, the mosaic tiles look more white when lit. This is a beautiful light, and it will go with any decor. I recommend it. I love it.

This ceiling light is high quality but i just did not like the effect of light coming through the glass. It was not as transparent as the picture showed. In fact, the shade looked better without the light on than it did with the light. You might want to see it in a store before opting to buy through mail order. Other reviewers really liked it so I don't want to discourage anyone to buy it.

I bought this lamp for my son's desk and it pretty much does the job. Couple of things, though: (1) even a 40 watt bulb makes the plastic pretty hot and (2) the switch located on the back that turns the light on and off is very stiff. Half the time, I have to remove the metal cover over the switch to turn the lamp off. But, all in all, I am happy with the purchase. It is pretty heavy-duty and doesn't fall over, which is good.

Well constructed. Except that the rotary switch handle is very long making it difficult to grasp because it almost touches the inside of the shade. It would be easy to grasp if it had faced sideways on the long axis of the shade. In any case, its length caused the thin switch stem to bend after a few uses.

I solved both problems and made the lamp dimmable by adding a good quality, but inexpensive, dimmer inside the base. The dimmer (Westek 00182 6077B Light Fixture Dimmer) is available from Amazon.

Lamp was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition, except for a tiny flaw in the shade, which was not worth returning the lamp for, as I just turned it to the back. The lamp looks taller than I expected it to, probably because the base is an "open" design. It's worth noting that there is a shorter, wider version of the same lamp available 23" high as opposed to 31" high for this one (actually 33" total to the top of the finial). This lamp is probably one of the coolest Star Wars pieces I've ever owned. The lamp itself is about 2 feet tall and the picture inserts are all glass and beautifully designed. To turn it on you simply touch the lamp anywhere metal. Once touch for a nightlight, twice for the energy saver (medium) setting, and a third time for the brightest setting. The fourth touch will turn it off. It uses 3 candelabra bulbs, up to 25W max. for each bulb.

This thing is a great conversation piece that doubles as a perfectly functioning light source. It's perfect for people like myself, who prefer mood lighting in a room as opposed to bright overhead lights. Turn on the lowest setting while watching a movie, medium setting for when visitors are over and the brightest setting when reading or working on other things in the room.

This is a great deal on a very unique and well made item. If you're a Star Wars fan in need of some extra lighting in your house, this is the item for you! You will not regret this purchase, guaranteed! I've posted some of my own photos of the lamp with a few notes to better show you, the future buyer, all the features this item has to offer.

This lamp looks awesome, but why they decided to mix the PT images of Darth Vader and Yoda with the OT images of Leia, Han and Luke, I'll never know. Easy pass for that reason. :(
