Most desk lamps won't fit under a shelf above my desk but this one does! You can expand it to be taller,

but for my need (about 12 1/2 inches) it's just right at the shortest height. Works great for me!

I have had this lamp now for almost a year. While it is a good lamp for on a desk, there are a few problems I've encountered. First, there is a small fuse in the base of the lamp, while a lot of lamps have this, over the 10 months that I've had this lamp, 2 of those fuses have blown, and the only place I could find replacement fuses was at one of the area electic supply places, but had to go to several of them to find one who carried them. Also, on occasion the lamp will not turn on, so I check and it seems that the holder for the fuse has loosened up enough that the contacts have to be squeezed together for a good connection. Secondly, halogen lamps usually don't need to have the bulb replaced very often, I have had to replace the bulb 6 times since I've had it, buying the bulbs in a retail store you're going to pay $4-$6 for one bulb. So I would recommend purching extra bulbs with this lamp if you buy it. As with all halogen lamps this one does get warm when it is on, that's a normal thing so be aware that it does happen. While this lamp does provide adequeate lighting for you desk, I am only giving it 2 stars since it goes through so many bulbs in a short period of time, as well as the fuses and the fuse holder.

As far as LED lights go this is quite dim, and not nearly as bright as other LED lights I have in this style. However, the base and arm are very solid metal, it is very low energy usage, the light lasts forever, and it's easy to use.

This lamp, along with the green and lavender ones I bought, add a beautiful ambiance to my study. They produce a low light and the colors of the glass shades are distinct, and do not lose their color when they are lit. If I had more room, I would get more. I am thinking about getting one of the triple lamps in this style for my bedroom. I recommend these for anyone who wants to add a bit of by gone ambiance to a special room in their home.

I had bought a ceiling light at Lowe's and loved it. The colors were vivid and beautiful and matched my room perfectly. When I saw this lamp I was so excited because it looked exactly like the ceiling light. I was disappointed when it arrived tho. It's not made as well and the bluish gray you see in the pic isn't on the lamp I got. It also looks as though some of the squares of mother of pearl are burnt around the edges. It gives off an odd odor that I'm hoping will go away over time.

This lamp is even more beautiful than the picture. The one problem I have with it is that the top is attached by the cord running through the lamp to the bottom and I can not get it to attach tightly or completely level...it could just be me or this particular lamp but it does bother me that it is never exactly straight. It is so pretty though that I still would not return it but if knew about the connection in advance I probably would not have purchased in the first place.

The color was a little darker than I expected and not as glossy, although when the lamp is on it appears much more like the picture...but still darker, and more light blue than turquoise. The shades (I ordered 2) are a tad bit dented, but I just rotated the dented areas to the wall. I think the price is a little steep, but the style and color are perfect for my bedroom, so it was worth it for me. They are lovely little lamps...my husband likes them as well.

I purchased 2 of these lamps. I love them! One thing wrong about them is they chip very easily, one of mine came chipped and when the Orange paint chips it's white underneath and looks tacky. I have had these lamps on either side of my bed with matching Orange pillows. I loved them! I don't have these any longer as my "modern" phase was overlooked by my always love for rustic/moose/bear etc. theme. But these are great lamps!

We bought this light for its turquoise color as needed a match for our family room. Buying a "used" light for around $16.00, so well worth the money. I would suggest if you buy "new" you may be disappointed. As the base and shade are very small, indeed the overall size is rather underwhelming. Check sizes in the description to see if this light is right for you.

I had originally ordered one of these lamps from a major retailer. It was a little pricey, but it was perfect for my daughter's room. When it arrived, my daughter loved it, so naturally we decided she needed a 2nd one. The problem was that the major retailer had no more stock! So, I Googled "Viko Table Lamp" and found it on Amazon.com. AND, it was nearly HALF the price of the first one I bought. Amazon's lamp came in perfect condition, looks great in the room, and I saved money. Does shopping get any better? I don't think so!

This ceiling light is alot prettier than the picture shows. The leaf design is green, not gold, and there are clear-glass cabochons in the leaves. The mosaic tiles are pastel-colored iridescent; pale lavender, sea green and pale blue tinted. It sparkles even when the light is not turned on. At night, the mosaic tiles look more white when lit. This is a beautiful light, and it will go with any decor. I recommend it. I love it.

This ceiling light is high quality but i just did not like the effect of light coming through the glass. It was not as transparent as the picture showed. In fact, the shade looked better without the light on than it did with the light. You might want to see it in a store before opting to buy through mail order. Other reviewers really liked it so I don't want to discourage anyone to buy it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This lamp looks just like the picture and it's beautiful. The bronze-tone finish is warm and the classic style would look well in any room, from the bedroom to the office. I like the relatively narrow, off-white fabric shade.

The only way it could be better would be to allow bulbs larger than 60W, but really, I enjoy it as it is. And the price is quite reasonable; in most stores you'd pay this much for just the lamp base, and here you get the base, harp, finial, and shade included. The packaging is very sturdy and the lamp arrived without a scratch.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a basic candlestick base table lamp. The finish is in antique bronze though the base is made of resin. The finish looks metallic unless you are really closely inspecting the lamp base. The shade is a light tan fabric.

If you have a nice, open place to put this lamp, it is an attractive addition to any room or space. The lamp is tall and the shade is about the size you would expect from a table lamp. The fabric seems to be of fairly good quality.

Note that the shade is not interchangeable like many candlestick base lamps. The lamp is restricted to a 60-watt bulb maximum and it has a single on-off switch, not a three-way. If 60 watts is not bright enough for you, you can easily utilize a 100 watt CFL or LED bulb which draws far less than 60 watts but has a greater light output.

The neutral tan shade matches with most decor although the antique bronze finish might not be a match for everything. Overall a solid lamp for the price.

Bought this lamp over a year ago, and although it serves it's purpose well, I would not buy this lamp again.

First, the lamp switch constantly jams, such that it takes me forever to turn the lamp on/off. It seems that switch thread was a cheap piece with no threads, so the switch just turns around and around.

Also, the lamp head cannot stand up on its own-the bolts to tighten it do not go far enough to keep it in place, so the head just droops. I at one point super-glued the hinge to keep it in place, but it's pretty ridiculous.

If you are in the market for a piano lamp, look elsewhere before coming back to this one. It is simply not worth the price.

I am a piano teacher. This lamp seemed like a good value ($49) so I bought it for my second piano and used it very rarely. Nonetheless, about two months after buying it, I noticed that no matter how tightly I turned one of its screws, it would fall to its lowest position. I regret having bought it and suggest that you look elsewhere and perhaps pay a little more.
