Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I own several of these floor lamps with reading lights and this one is by far the cheapest one-but it's pretty. First it does not look or feel cheap and flimsy its sturdy and seems well constructed you can use one or both lights. I can easily see it lasting many years...oh and the the price is right(abt $39.00 as of right now), so you should definetly give this a try if you need a little extra light somewhere in your home.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I do a tremendous amount of reading in my living room's lounge chair. My brass floor lamp is a traditional one that only offers 60 Watts worth of light; it doesn't have a reading light. Therefore, I was excited when the Amazon Vine Program sent me the floor lamp with reading light from Lightaccents. It has two light bulbs--a 100 Watt light bulb in the main globe and a 40 Watt light bulb in an adjustable reading globe. It provides a tremendous amount of light.
My dad, who was visiting me from Tennessee, helped me assemble this floor lamp. He is more tech savvy than I am. Assembly was fairly easy. Unfortunately, when the lamp was put together, its top, uppermost pole had threads that could still be seen. We could not do anything to hide them. We disassembled the poles and tried reassembling them again but we could not hide the threads. There is no reason for them being there. The floor lamp's beauty is marred by these shiny, gray threads that stand out in stark contrast to the matte black finish. Also, to make matters worse, the lamp's electrical cord is too short (approximately five feet). It would not sit in the same place as my old brass floor lamp, which was bought for me over twenty-five years ago. I have a white extension cord but it would clash with the lamp's black electrical cord and clutter the floor. I have frequent visitors; one of them could trip and fall (and sue me).
I decided to place the new floor lamp in the corner of my bedroom, which needs more light. The lamp shines very brightly and I no longer need a clip-on nightlight for reading in my bed. I was going to give my old brass floor lamp to my parents but decided to keep it for myself. As far as the new floor lamp is concerned, the bedroom's corner is a good home for it. However, another item that disturbs me is the reading lamp. The globe is adjustable but the arm that holds it upright is not. This is fine for me--the owner. However, a visitor might accidentally try to move the arm and damage it. This would be a concern for those who plan on keeping their floor lamps inside their living rooms where visitors are more apt to be.
This floor lamp from Lightaccents is heavy but wobbles on my carpet. Perhaps it would be best suited for a wooden or tiled floor. My old brass floor lamp is much more lightweight but it doesn't wobble. The Lightaccents floor lamp arrived safely and securely packaged in a lot of protective Styrofoam. I was concerned that one of the frosted globes would be cracked or chipped but they weren't. However, we had to vacuum the living room once the floor lamp had been removed. Tiny bits of Styrofoam had gone everywhere.
If I had purchased this floor lamp from Lightaccents, I probably would've asked for a replacement or a refund because of the exposed threads at the top of the post. Everything else I can learn to live with. A lot of people probably aren't as particular as me and wouldn't care. In the future, maybe I can hide the exposed threads with a ribbon. If not for the exposed threads, I would've enjoyed this floor lamp much better. I wish Lightaccents had posted a video showing how this floor lamp is assembled. I don't think Dad and I assembled it in an incorrect manner. A cord runs completely through each separate pole which greatly restricts the owner in how they can assemble it.

Best Deals for Floor Lamp with Reading Light
This lamp is just what I needed for my den---two lights, one that directs lighting upwards if I am watching TV or socializing and one that directs the lighting over my shoulder when I want to read. The styling is simple; it is not especially decorative itself and would therefore blend nicely with a wide variety of furniture.
The lamp was a little harder to assemble than I would have hoped, because the threads were hard to line up, but once it is assembled it is sturdy. The base is heavily weighted and stable.
I got this lamp to replace one that was very similar and slightly more attractive but that had a fatal design flaw---the light switch was at the top of the lamp, so that you had to get up from your chair to change the setting. It also cost 50% more than this lamp.
I am pleased enough with the lamp that it is "almost a 5", but the adjustment of the small reading lamp angle is not as good as my predecessor lamp. On my previous lamp, (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UD4YOK/ref=oh_d etails_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ), the entire arm was adjustable, which gave more versatility on where you could place the lamp in relation to your chair. On this lamp, you can adjust only the angle of the bottom lampshade, much like a little floodlight. However, this seems to be adequate to direct the light where I want it, so I am happy.
For $40 this is a nice versatile functional item that looks like it will serve me for a long time.
PS My lamp arrived with the top globe broken, and Amazon was out of stock, so I called the company. They sent me a whole new lamp! Can't complain about that!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program If you've ever bought a floor lamp in a box and assembled it, then you'll figure out how to put this one together. Enlike some, this one is rather well built, and the threads on the sections work nicely to avoid any wobble or give. The excess cord pulls easily out the bottom, but it's a minor pain to have to deal with. Once put together, it's rather handsome, and it does a good job lighting up the room and a small reading area. If you want either, both, or neither, the switch has you taken care of. The finish arrived in excellent shape, but the glass bits had minor imperfections, which probably shouldn't exist. The packaging seemed sound, both Amazon's efforts and the manufacturers.
All in all, if it looks good on the screen, you'll like it in person.

I purchased this floor lamp for our newly built sun room. At first I was a little cautious as the lamp has to be put together (pipe threading and cross threading)and wasn't sure if it would be strong enough to stand in the base. The top fixture gave me some problems too as it didn't want to secure tightly to the top post and the fixture kept coming loose, but with careful persuading it all came together. The first thing that I did once put together (except the globes) was to spray paint the entire lamp a satin white color, since it only comes in black and black was not what we wanted for our decor. Once painted and put together...it was absolutely beautiful, so we ordered a second one and did the same to it. The second lamp didn't have the pipe threads at the top post that so many pointed out and complained about. (I wonder if that was a fluke or a design change...much better this way). Some have complained about the reading arm not being movable, and at first I was thinking about tinkering with it, because with the right tools, know how, and patience, you could make it adjustable, but I like it just the way it is so I left it alone. I also put a 25 watt bulb in the top fixture, because we are looking more for an accent light than a room brightener. The reading light is 40 watt and ample enough. Now our sun room looks very elegant with two white floor lamps complementing each other in opposing corners.
