this lamp is very appealing on line but in reality is very cheap looking. Most of the lamp looks like it was painted on not individual pieces of glass. The worst part of it is that is cost me $47.00 to return!! Be wary before you buy!!

I was very disappointed in the actual lamp vs. the representation online. The colors on the globe do not match the base and are not the colors represented online. Instead of subtle goldish yellow, green and blue to match the bottom part of the lamp, the colors on the globe are bright orange, red, yellow, and blue. Frankly, if I could return it hassle free, I would. The reason I bought this lamp was because of it's subtle colors and what I have is gawky and tacky looking. I had been looking for a lamp like this for some time. Every time I thought I found one it was either too small or cost 4 to 5 times what this one did. I was reluctant to buy this one because for the price, I was afraid it would look cheap or be of poor quality. The other review here convinced me to take a chance and am I glad I did. From the moment I opened the box I realized that this lamp was something special. The fit and finish are superb. It's large and heavy (13lbs.) The glass colors are true to the picture shown. It has dual pull-chain sockets. It gives off a warm inviting glow when lit and is still very attractive unlit. If you're looking for a lamp that captures that classic "Tiffany" look, but don't have a fortune to spend, then look no further, this is it!

This mosaic lamp is beautiful! Your eye is drawn to it at night due to its spectacular colors: yellow, red, orange, and purple in the shade and green on the base. It really brightens up a dark spot in the home. It's short, compact size makes it ideal for a small table. I put mine on a timer so it automatically turns on and off--no pulling on the chains. It's lovely!

We love this lamp and ours looks exactly like the one in the picture. Someone posted 3 pics of a bluer lamp that is clearly not the same lamp. The one we received has a green base and rich warm tones in the shade. It is solid and too heavy for our cat to knock off the end table as she is prone to do with lesser lamps. Like others we thought the price seemed too low for a quality lamp but have been very impressed with what we received.

I found this in Warehouse deals, for 22.50; I would've returned it if I'd paid the 124.96 price showing currently. The Warehouse deal indicated minor damage to front, back, side of item, but I figured for 22.50 I could live with or fix whatever the blemishes were.

Lamp arrived in a giant box, wrapped in bubble wrap. There were no visible damages to the lamp YAY! However, there's a fairly significant design flaw, if the finial provided is the one actually intended for the lamp. There's not enough room between the finial end and the socket for a regular light bulb to fit seriously! The finial points downward, to hold the shade up no way to get a regular bulb in there. I'm sure I could find a plain nut, at Lowe's, so that a regular bulb would work, but as it is, I'll have to use an appliance bulb.

Other than that, it's a very cute lamp especially for 22.50 just not designed for regular light bulbs.

10,000 hours = 416 days. In other words, more than a year.

I bought this replacement bulb on Oct 6, 2005. Today is the first of Feb. 2006--it died. Assuming that I never turned off the lamp during those 3 months, my math tells me that in order for the bulb to burn out I must have had the lamp on for 111 hours/day for five months. (111 hours x 30 days x 3 months = 9990 hours.) Only, I never quite lived a 111 hour day yet.

If I figure I used the lamp for no more than 6 hrs/day for those 3 months. I only got 540 hours out of it. However you look at it, it seems this bulb missed the mark on the 10,000 in a premature death.

I have had a Grandrich floor lamp for a couple of years. Went through one bulb in that time. The last time it flickered and died, I ordered a replacement bulb from Amazon. That one still didn't work. It turned out to be a bad electrical outlet in my apartment. After the manager replaced the outlet...no problems! I don't want to say that others with bad results had electrical problems, but that was true in my case. I will not hesitate to order replacement bulbs from Amazon.

I have owned several tabletop timers like the one pictured but they were by Intermatic. When I needed a couple of more I saw this one but it was by Woods. I thought that this was another example of another company using the same model but with a different name and colored them white. The Intermatics I owned in the past performed great. To my surprise when the timers showed up they did not look like the picture on the Amazon web site. They were white and about the same size as my Intermatics. Both Intermatic and Woods suffer from the same problem of having to plug your appliance (a lamp) straight into the timer plug causing the entire plug(s)to be extended from the wall by about 3 1/2 inches. It would have been better if the engineers could have designed the receptable to be on the side of the plug so everything wouldn't protrude out so much. The Woods timer tells time in 24 hour time instead of the 12 hour version of Intermatic. That's not a bad thing, just be aware of it. For example if you want the timer to come on at 5:00 PM, you will have to set it for 1700. On the Intermatic one of the four buttons is much larger than the other three. That is convenient when you want to manually turn on/off the light. On the Woods the on/off manual button is the same size as the other three. No big deal, but not as convenient as the Intermatic. That's the reason I gave the review four stars instead of three. All of my Intermatics are at least 4 years old and I hope the Woods can last that long as well. I've only had them a month.

The timing works and works correctly. My biggest concern is that it's limited to a 24-hour readout and does not have a 12 hour option that I can fine. Otherwise it's a good product.

I looked long and hard locally (Home Depot, Lowe's) to find a switch like this where you could keep the switch on a table instead of plugged directly into the outlet, and I found this one on Amazon. I needed to be able to manually turn it on and off easily, which you can't do with the kind that plug directly into the outlet. This one did exactly what I needed. It is easy to program and works as advertised, and the price was very competitive. Highly recommended.

Easy to use, reliable. Shows times military style: 8:00 PM = 20:00, which I like but may not be your cup of tea.

Only allows you to have two on/off times.

Has buttons for both up and down adjustments while you're setting it, which is superior to many similar products.

One minor drawback is that the "set" and "on/off" switches are side-by-side and identically shaped. I glued a button on the on/off switch so I could turn it on and off without looking. If you push "set" by accident, it won't turn on or off until you've pushed the set switch three more times.

I have several of the older models of the timer and they are very easy to use. I only gave it 4 stars, because the older model has a 3 prong plug, has a more neutral, bronze color and a 12 hour clock. These are all minor, but compared to the original, it looses 1 star.

I got it in time and well packed, was easy to install. Can use luminescent bulbs. Both lamps have separate switch, easily operated. Lower lamp was getting hot with 60 W regular bulb, but now with save-energy one works perfectly. It is stable, but not too heavy, so I can bring it from room to room if I need.

While reading the reviews I expected the biggest problem to be the cord, because it's a heavy duty black one. Why the manufacturer wouldn't have used a smaller, clear cord is beyond me! I partially solved the cord issue because of the bigger problem...a very short arm!

Originally I planned to use these lights on either side of our four post king sized bed but the arms were too short to reach the area that we needed illuminated while in bed. This necessitated moving them to the inside of the posts, just above the headboard, which in turn hid most of the ugly black cord. I will still need to purchase cord covers to mitigate the eyesore of what does show.

The thought of having to return them & start over was a bigger factor in deciding to keep them than was how much I like the lights. They look really nice, provide great light & seem sturdy so if the arms were longer & the cord less noticeable these would sell like crazy!

Liked the look and design online. Looked as good when I received the lamps. Being very handy I began to install the lights and found one of the ground wires had come loose from the fitting. The fitting was so small I could not bend the fitting to reinsert the ground wire. Went shopping to replace and could not find a substitution fitting. Ended up using the existing fitting the best I could. It seems to work just fine and I really like the look.

We bought two of these to replace lamps that were taking up too much space on our bedside tables. What a great choice! They're attractive and well made with a nice, brushed bronze finish. The dimmers are perfect and while the shade is easy to adjust it's not too loose and holds its position. A friend wall-mounted them for us but used screws that were a little bulkier than what they came with. We're really pleased at the quality and the look.

This lamp is very heavy. Might need help in placing it. I has met my every expectation and more. I have placed five salt lamps of various sized throughou my house. My family and I have noticed a remarkable improvement in the air quality. The dust has almost dissappeared. Everything drops to the floor and a quick dust mopping (we do not have carpet) is all it takes. I know there are some skeptics concernin the benefits of these beautiful lamps, however, I can say with complete confidence that they are wonderful.
