Double check measurements before you buy--this lamp is really big. It's gorgeous--rectangular pieces of slate tile placed all over the base, and a shade that's wonderfully rich and warm with flecks of fiber running through. The base looks homemade, but not in a grade school way. The shade curves in a wave, which makes it hard to butt the lamp up against a wall (not that you would, but still...)

Overall very nice, but not the size for a bedside table. Definitely needs a lot of space.

It is a beautiful lamp, great shade, three way bulb, well made. We have in the waiting room of a psychotherapy suite and all of the therapists (10) and the clients love it. We use a full spectrum bulb in it which help the plants grow in a windowless room.

I love the base of the lamp, rustic, but elegant. I have been looking for a slate lamp for a long time. However, the shade is a little strange, is curves and has fabric flecks that you can't see in the photograph. FYI the lamp is really heavy.

The product is fine and easy to install. I put it up in just 5 minutes. It looked nice. The only problem I found after using it for a while is the base is too light. It's so easy to fall down. If it could add some weight onto the base, it would be prefect and be worthy to its money.

10,000 hours = 416 days. In other words, more than a year.

I bought this replacement bulb on Oct 6, 2005. Today is the first of Feb. 2006--it died. Assuming that I never turned off the lamp during those 3 months, my math tells me that in order for the bulb to burn out I must have had the lamp on for 111 hours/day for five months. (111 hours x 30 days x 3 months = 9990 hours.) Only, I never quite lived a 111 hour day yet.

If I figure I used the lamp for no more than 6 hrs/day for those 3 months. I only got 540 hours out of it. However you look at it, it seems this bulb missed the mark on the 10,000 in a premature death.

I have had a Grandrich floor lamp for a couple of years. Went through one bulb in that time. The last time it flickered and died, I ordered a replacement bulb from Amazon. That one still didn't work. It turned out to be a bad electrical outlet in my apartment. After the manager replaced the outlet...no problems! I don't want to say that others with bad results had electrical problems, but that was true in my case. I will not hesitate to order replacement bulbs from Amazon.

When I bought this product I thought it was a wall switch with remote extension. But when it arrived, it is actually one piece that may be controlled by Lutron remote switch and also can be controlled by the attached switch (looks just like the wall switch by Lutron -thus the confusion)

You can still pair it with a Lutron wireless remote and that part worked flawlessly.

I was looking for an airplane lamp with a night light option. This one fit the bill. The shade was super cheap with ugly, red ribbon on it....not like the one shown in the picture. And it arrived smashed since the box was smashed. However, I found a replacement shade that I like for about $10. The windows of the airplane were clear which made the night light super bright so I painted them a frosty white. Also, the pole is white and curved not silver and straight. I still gave it 4 stars because after I made some changes I love it!

This lamp is pretty cute, but it is VERY different compared to the picture. First, there is a line of bright red trim on the top and bottom of the lampshade. This doesn't match the dark maroon red of the plane and isn't shown in the picture. Also, there is a lot of red paint on the windows of the plane. I should be able to scrape it off, but it takes away from the look. I was also disappointed that the "Stick" part of the lamp is white, not silver and curved, not straight. This is one of the only "non-biplane" lamps I could find, and I do like the nightlight feature, but it is different than pictured.

This lamp is very heavy. Might need help in placing it. I has met my every expectation and more. I have placed five salt lamps of various sized throughou my house. My family and I have noticed a remarkable improvement in the air quality. The dust has almost dissappeared. Everything drops to the floor and a quick dust mopping (we do not have carpet) is all it takes. These are excellent lights for places where you can't readily install a powered light fixture, or for emergency preparations (in the car, with your home emergency supplies, for power outages, etc.). Each light is powered with three AAA batteries, and have five LED bulbs inside. The front cover is such that the light is evenly distributed, not as five individual light dots. The battery life on LED lights are far superior to the halogen light bulbs. I'm using 1.2V NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries and they work just fine (one word of advice: If you do decide to use rechargeable batteries, go for the Sanyo Eneloop batteries that hold their charges for a long, long time--the Eneloops are supposed to hold 85% of their charges after 1 year in storage; most NiMH batteries lose their charge in weeks).

We live in Miami and are plagued with power outages related to bad weather and hurricanes. These lights are great and make my son feel secure that if the power does go out, he can always have an emergency light in every room. We also have used these to illuminate areas during hurricane related outages so that our pets, who are quite old, can find their way around the house. I first got these at Costco right after Hurricane Wilma (no power for 8 days....) and continue to stock up on them. They are definitely worth the price.

This is 3-pack of lights each puck light has 5 lights operated by 3 AAA batteries. I'm not crazy about the bluish tinge that LED lights produce, but that is not a reflection of this product it is an LED product. These come with 2 ways to hand them by screw or sticky backing, both work well. They turn on and off with a push of the dome and dim once as well. These lights are easy to use and very handy if you need some light in a dark space. I would not recommend them for mood lighting in bookshelves or under cabinets simply because of the bluish light.

These lights work wellthey arent as bright as a 'normal' closet light might be, but I put three in my coat closet where there is no light and it works well. I have one closer to the floor so we can see what is there and what is behind the coats (we have shelves back there).

You can angle the light to shine in the direction you prefer. This was a good choice.
