This lamp is as described in the product details. That being said I should have paid more attention to the description and maybe looked at a ruler. It is resin which isn't really a problem but the lamp was more diminutive than I had expected which puts the light source lower than I had intended. The color looks good with taupe and burgundy and the shade looks like a grainy silk shantung. I am guessing its polyester. The shade is too nice for the lamp itself as the detail on the lamp is a bit rough. The finial at the tip is 2 inches tall, the lamp from base to top of shade is 23 inches. The circumference of the widest area of the shank of the lamp is about 9 inches with maybe a diameter of around 3 inches or a little less. The lamp has decent hardware and the bulb screwed in without problem and stays solidly lit. It looks good where I put it in a bedroom beside a bed but not sized for a living room. The lamp shade came collapsed and I had to insert the metal spines which wasn't hard as every thing just snaps in place as expected. Every thing was well packaged for shipping and prime made the shipping easy.

From the picture online, the lamp looks really good, but in person it looks extremely cheap, like I should have only paid $10 for it. The thing is dimmer than my $15 lamp. The light that is not being covered by the shade is intense while the shaded like is dark enough that a noticeable light ring appears at about a 2 to 2 1/2 foot radius.

I Bought these because they were dimmable. They are not. At first I thought there was a problem with my new switch, but no works with other bulbs. Then reading the box it states not intended to be used with dimmers in fine print.

I purchased this light fixture for my kids play room and since I was going for the lime green and blue color pallette, I thought it was great that the fixture included these colors and that I could take the peach and yellow ones out and put more blue and green ones in, but It turned out not to be that easy. It is very difficult to change the colors because they are made out of paper and bend easily, and when they do bend they do not look good at all-I wasted so many of them trying to create the look I wanted. When I was done it looked awesome, but It was very hard to do! If I knew it was going to be that way, I would have just left it the way it was. I would recommend this only to someone who doesnt want to change the colors, otherwise its not worth the effort or the money for that matter.

I spotted this lamp on myhabit.com but noticed that it was less expensive on amazon.com so I bought it here. (The price on amazon has since gone up.) I wanted a masculine lamp with two bulbs, as a bedside table lamp. This fits the bill perfectly I love how it looks, and the light it produces. The hardware is sturdy and the lamp pulls have a nice look and feel.

The first lamp that arrived was assembled incorrectly; all the parts in the "pole" were loose against each other, making the lamp wobbly and the parts didn't line up. I called Amazon and they shipped a new one overnight, and paid for the return shipping. The new lamp was assembled correctly, and I've been enjoying it for a month or so.

I have two complaints about the final lamp. The first is that the shade was a little dented from shipping (so it seemed) and I wasn't able to get the dents out 100%. (The first lamp had this same issue.) I just turned the (slightly) dented side to the wall, and it hasn't been a problem. The second problem is that the inside of the shade is white, which makes the light from the lamp very white. When I bought the lamp, I was expecting the light to look like my wife's, which has a gold lining on the inside, which makes the light very "soft". The light from this one looks very "hard". Over time, I've come to really like the light for reading by, but it makes the room feel brighter than I'd like.

The shade was nice and I probably would have liked it had it arrived in decent condition. Sorry to say that the packaging was inadequate. The box was received smashed and the shade was not protected at all. I ordered two shades. They were shoved together and were very difficult to pull apart. Both were smashed beyond use.

We needed these for a parade float. (Actually needed four.) The first one we ordered came in but a few of the mirrors on the disco ball were broken where it had apparently been dropped. Because it wouldn't be seen close-up, we simply kept it.

Then we ordered several more. Two of the next four that arrived had problems with the motor. One made a clicking sound but didn't turn (dead on arrival) and the second one didn't make any noise at all. It simply didn't work. The other two worked fine. So now we have three that turn and two defective ones. We need four, so we ordered two more.

I'll up date this once the two new ones arrive. (We ordered two because we need one that works. With our track record so far we're hoping that at least one that arrives is good.)

I'll also let you know if the company takes a return back on the two units that arrived with no working motor.

And the reason we gave it four stars, even though so many have arrived broken? Because the ones that arrived working, really do look cool and we're excited how they appear on our float.

This mirror ball doesn't give the effect you expect. The box was so lightweight, I couldn't believe the ball was inside. Spend a little extra on a different one so you're not disappointed.

This is a really neat, large disco ball if you plan to rest it safely on a table. Unfortunately, I had bought it hoping to maximise the battery-operated mobility function. But the disco ball is quite heavy relative to the base and I ended up using something else on the night. So I haven't actually used it yet, but am sure will find a fun use for it soon. This torchiere floor lamp is a good buy for the price. Although I would have prefered a halogen powered lamb with a dimmer switch. This is a suitable alternative that provide sufficient lighting with two 75 watt bulbs or you can go higher with 100 watt bulbs. The attached reading lamp is handy if want a little less lighting in the room with it's 60 watt bulb. I only wish that the main lamb and reading lamp had separate switches instead there is a single 4 phase switch (off-reading-main-both). The design is stylish although the top shade barely covers the light bulbs. Overall it's was a good purchase.

I've had mine for many years and now buying a second.

Doesn't take up much space, but lights up the room nicely and warmly without creating a blinding glare. The gooseneck lamp is very handy when I just want a focused light for reading. You can turn on the top light and goosneck lamp separately or both on at the same time.

Read reviews on this lamp before buying it. One repeated comment was that it did not stand up straight. I found this to be true but just put a piece of carpet under one side and it is straight. It gives off great light and I like the small lamp for reading. It looks good in the room. The first one I got did not work and I had no problem with amazon replacing it. I looked at a lot of lamps before chosing this one and I am happy with this purchase.

I bought this lamp along with the "Kenroy Suspension Slate Table Lamp" and they make a lovely couple. This one is quite striking. The slate is real, which is what I wanted. Some "slate" lamps are resin or other man-made material -read carefully. The real slate and the heavy metal base make this a sturdy lamp. And, despite its slim profile, it does give the appearance of a full-sized table lamp. I have dogs and cats and need robust lamps that stay put. These do. The shades seem smaller and slightly darker in color in person, but still go nicely. Granted, it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for with this one. Very nice quality. Oh, and the slate slab actually does hang in "free fall" it can swing back and forth slightly within the iron frame.

For the price...or even had it been higher priced, this is a really attractive, solid lamp. I liked the look of it in the pictures, but was still a little wary about how sturdy it may be. I was so pleased when it arrived (very quickly!) and was such good quality.

I did end up changing the shade, because the bright white of the shade was a little glaring, but that's a personal preference. I wish now that they offered the same design in a standing lamp. Love it!!

The only way it could be better would be to allow bulbs larger than 60W, but really, I enjoy it as it is. And the price is quite reasonable; in most stores you'd pay this much for just the lamp base, and here you get the base, harp, finial, and shade included. The packaging is very sturdy and the lamp arrived without a scratch.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a basic candlestick base table lamp. The finish is in antique bronze though the base is made of resin. The finish looks metallic unless you are really closely inspecting the lamp base. The shade is a light tan fabric.

If you have a nice, open place to put this lamp, it is an attractive addition to any room or space. The lamp is tall and the shade is about the size you would expect from a table lamp. The fabric seems to be of fairly good quality.

Note that the shade is not interchangeable like many candlestick base lamps. The lamp is restricted to a 60-watt bulb maximum and it has a single on-off switch, not a three-way. If 60 watts is not bright enough for you, you can easily utilize a 100 watt CFL or LED bulb which draws far less than 60 watts but has a greater light output.

The neutral tan shade matches with most decor although the antique bronze finish might not be a match for everything. Overall a solid lamp for the price.

Pros: This light looks great on my son's desk and I like that the switch (sliding kind) is on the unit

Cons: Not very bright if you need it for more intensive task-light (e.g., reading, sewing, etc) function, but I suppose it would be OK if you just need some extra lighting when working on the computer. Also, though the slider light switch on the unit is nice, it is not very easy to slide it to the precise location for the night light setting.

It has a click on switch instead of a turn switch...small thing but makes it a milisecond faster to turn on. Consumer Reports rated Air King fans pretty high, but I didn't feel this way after installing it. It felt cheaply made, and the steel used wasn't welded together quite right. I think this resulted in reduced air flow, because it really didn't seem to pull much air out of the bathroom, and if my shower went longer than 5 minutes it started dripping water out of the grill onto my bathroom floor. And I don't believe the sones advertised were accurate as it was louder than expected. Maybe this particular fan wasn't caught during quality control, but I didn't want to take another chance.

I returned it for a Panasonic fan which I can't rave enough about. The Panasonic just felt solid, didn't drop water, kept the mirror clear and was incredibly quiet. And it included the hardware I needed to complete the job. Buy a Panasonic.
