I can't imagine how anyone could rate this product 5 stars unless they are literally short-sighted. I bought half a dozen of these bulbs 1 month ago to use in 3 ceiling lights. I am now down to my last bulb. They last an average of 2 weeks not 11 months. There is nothing wrong with the wiring since normal tungsten bulbs last nearly a year. This is a ripoff by GE of major proportions. DO NOT BUY THIS BULB. It is more of a slow flash bulb than a normal light.

These are well made low-voltage outdoor path lights. They are entirely metal except for the ground spike which is plastic. They are a notch above the light fixtures found in the home outlet stores. They are also more expensive.

If you're looking for something with that vintage flair that isn't super expensive, but is still cute and useful, this is the lamp for you! It looks great in the kids' room, and although it doesn't put out a tremendous amount of light, it's great as a bedside lamp that gives a nice bright glow. The quality is what you'd expect for the price, but it's still very cute, and well worth the $. I'm very happy with it, and have gotten several compliments. All-in-all, it's a winner!

Cheap Normande Lighting 12W Daylight Desk Lamp w/ Magnifier 17.5" in

I chose this lamp over other magnifying lamps that I was considering because it is advertised as having a "daylight" bulb. This lamb does *not* have a full-spectrum bulb. It is a normal 12-watt fluorescent bulb, type T-4.

The construction is all plastic except for the internal heat shield and glass lens. Even the base housing is plastic, but there is some weight in the base for stability probably the ballast.

I have been looking for a good magnifying lamp for modeling and I found one. This lamp has a very bright light and an excellent magnifier. The lamp has a heavy base and thus will not tip over. It has a long flexable neck and the lamp never gets hot. This is an excellently made product with quality construction. I expect it to last for years. The bulb is easy to replace and readily available. Great price!

I love this lamp! It has a heavy base, great natural light, and wonderful magnifier. I use it for sewing, gluing, and fixing small items. Recently I replaced a worn-out clasp on a gold chain, which couldn't be done with out this light.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program And I wear bifocals so I know of what I speak:-) This is made in China and I suppose that is expected of all we buy nowadays? But this could be a poster boy for "cheap" made in China product. The finish on mine arrived marred with poor paint. The magnification lens is pretty badly distorted in several areas. It may help some but may HURT you if trying to get a splinter out etc? And while it has that magnification it does NOT have that little 1 or 2 inch inset with a "double" magnification for splinter removal type work either. I guess if there is a single good thing I can say about the magnifier is this. It has a built in cover to HIDE all the flaws and deficits it offers......

Warranty is what you may call a scam as well since you pay round trip shipping which I am sure is about what it costs to make this lamp in China. I find that distasteful to say the least. I would give this 2 stars max considering all I see as negatives but at least it doesn't fall over. Although maybe if it does, it will be to commit suicide? The base seems weighted with a ballast to possibly prevent that however. I give this a very shaky 3 stars. If my bulb dies in 3 months I will drop it however since some have reported that being an issue as well. My wife is using it to thread needles. Just what I need, a wife with sharp objects.....

this came with screws stripped, weight broken, but at least it functioned. My wife needed the lamp right away so hot glue came to the rescue.

Hopefully Amazon will remove this IF they fix the issue of their description! If you look on other sites you will find that THIS MODEL NUMBER with this light says on ALL other websites that it is HARDWIRED!! This light does NOT PLUG INTO THE WALL.... Why the caps?? I called Amazon prior to ordering and was told that it does plug into the wall.

The light itself arrived in good condition and it is much better in appearance than the photo. it is large and would work perfectly in my kitchen however I need to plug it in!

I purchased these lamps for a guest bedroom. I didn't want to invest a lot, so I decided to order these two brushed nickel lamps. The postage made them slightly over $60. I had purchased some lamps that I love at Walmart for about the same price, but thought I'd try the ones on Amazon.

I was very disappointed. One was cut on the base. The brushed nickel is actually a thick paint. The shades were very difficult to get alligned. They were crooked and looked awful until I did a lot of twisting and turning and bending to get them right. Once I did, they were okay, but I've never had to work so hard to get a lamp to look decent.

All in all, I was not satisfied, but with the shipping being so high, I just didn't want to return them. I'm keeping them and remembering to NEVER order 2K lamps again.

The lamps are lovely and just as described. However, the harps of the lamps are too short to accommodate a CFL lightbulb.

Contrary to a lot of reviews I read up here, I am a huge fan of these lamps. While they do not compare to a thousand dollar lamp, they are at least at good as any Ashley Furnitiure or Target lamp. I could not be happier with my purchase.

*** About the Blink Issue Read this before purchasing***

Purchased this lamp in March and returned 2 because led bulbs kept burning out in less than a week.

A local electronics store suggested I try a more precise adapter; one that can produce 4.5V with no fluctuations.

I did and so far it's been a week without any issues. Adapter cost me an extra 19$. I'll update if any problems arise.

**It been 4 months since my purchase and I have 2 led bulbs burned out of 26...not perfect.

The metal bar that shows only at the top in the picture runs the entire length of the lamp, so it is not as pretty as pictured. It comes in a very large box with lots of packaging, so I figured it was too difficult to get it all back together again to return and kept it.

Pictures really can't do this lamp justice. It's beautiful. The base is really elegant and the shade doesn't look "cheap". It's also a nice large size. (not sure if the product description gives measurements, but you won't be disappointed. It's not puny.) But in hindsight, it's a tad on the expensive side for what you get. Just my opinion.

Web page said no led's included. Seller told they are included, and they were. Item was a return though which did not make me happy, ie no paperwork inside box. Unit was fine though and works, only thing I did not count on was the bottom swivil is tightend with an allen wrench instead of like the top which used a lever.

I ordered this adapter on Friday night and it arrived Monday. Great!. Unfortunately, as some other customer mention, the hole is too small for some lamps, particularly the ones they sell at IKEA now, that need a 1 and 5/8" inner diameter. Fortunately I have a friend with a lathe and he increased the clearance to fit the socket of the lamp.:) Now it works perfectly!

For people who want to purchase this product, be careful. We purchased these awhile ago and it wouldn't fit on european lamps. The measurements are not indicated and when we got them, we realized that they were, what we called in the business, NewBridge fitters, not Euro. It's like saying about the color grey that it's white. It's not fun to have to return a product we paid shipping for at our own expense because they don't fit.

There's a world of difference between the European lamp system and the NewBridge system. So for future buyers, be aware that you might not get what you need by purchasing this product.

The good thing though is that they were beautifully made, except for a few that were bent but nothing we couldn't fix.

Had a UNO (european) shade attachment. Lighting stores wanted big bucks to redo the lamp to accept a harp shade attachment.

Investigated and found this at a faction of the cost. If you have a Restoration hardware, Ikea, or other european style shade attachment and want to replace the shade you'll need one of these. MEASURE SOCKET CAREFULLY!!!

Forget replacement uno shades in US they don't exist.

First of all BUY BATTERIES. Just a reminder.

Wanted a small LED lantern to light up a room enough to not step on anything. This works just fine, its reasonably bright and lightweight. Extra star since I drop/knock it off the table enough and it holds up.

Its uncomplicated, and good enough for most things. Have to use the spotlight for any detail work but would be ideal for times when you need "just a little light" to see whats around.

Downside, while it provides enough light to see where you're going, it by no means lights up the room.
