If you're looking for something with that vintage flair that isn't super expensive, but is still cute and useful, this is the lamp for you! It looks great in the kids' room, and although it doesn't put out a tremendous amount of light, it's great as a bedside lamp that gives a nice bright glow. The quality is what you'd expect for the price, but it's still very cute, and well worth the $. I'm very happy with it, and have gotten several compliments. All-in-all, it's a winner!

Cheap Room Essentials® 5-Head Floor Lamp - Blue

I just got the pink version of this lamp last night and set it up. It was packaged securely in its box. It assembled easily without any tools being needed. Everything just screws together by hand.

One of the coolest things about this lamp that is unadvertised is how the switch works. It has three positions. Click it once and all five lights come on. Click it again and three go off, leaving two lights on. Click it again and the two lights go off and the other 3 come on. One more click and everything's off. It's a nice alternative to a dimmer switch.

You can put the colored shades on the lamp in any positions you want. They easily are removed but are securely fastened with a nut when in position.

Since there are five bulbs the shadows are softer.

The cord on this lamp is a little short. I didn't measure but I think it's around three or four feet long. The cord is white.

This product is listed as being five feet tall, which it appears to be. When I first saw it together I thought it looked a little short, not that it was shorter than five feet, but just that I didn't realize five feet was that short. I expected this to reach more to the ceiling which it does not. Still, once I got it together and turned on I think it's beautiful and I'm completely satisfied with how it lights up my room. I have it beside my bed with most of the lights pointing up but one pointing down as a reading lamp, which works quite nicely.

I actually almost purchased this lamp today from Target. I use to own this design in pink, but gave it away after 6 months. It was very cute and sturdy--VERY EASY to put together. My only problem with this particular item is the price! My local Target store here in Michigan is only asking $19.99 for it.

(#1 REVIEWER)I bought this pretty Five Light Floor lamp in the Big Lots store as a present for my mother.

It is pretty, about 5 feet tall, you can have either all 5 or only 2 lights on at the same time (controled by the clicker on the switch). It was easy to assemble without tools. The main attraction for mother was that you can so easily control where the light shines. Sometimes by pointing one of the heads down she reads under it, other times with all shades up it just provides general room lighting.

My mother really liked this lamp, but I had to take it away from her to return to Big Lots due to a recall.

Big Lots stores recalled 43,700 floor lamps because wiring for the light sockets can become exposed which creates a shocking hazzard for the users. In addition, standard 40-watt bulbs, recommended for this lamp, can generate excessive heat and melt the plastic shades. The model number with this problem is G-1843-5, it is located underneath the lamp base. The Big Lots recall recommends that the consumers should immediately stop using the lamps and return them to the store for a refund. You can contact Big Lots at 866-244-5687.

The recall appears to effect only the lights sold in the Big Lots Stores, but because I always consult Amazon reviews no matter where I buy the products, I wanted to post this information here.

I bought this lamp for my sons room. He is four years old, and breaks alot of stuff, so I didn't want anything expensive, but I needed a lamp that would give out enough light in his room, and at the same time look nice and dynamic in his room. I like the lamp; the lamps adjustable arms are great for directing light where you want it. My son loves it because it is a fun looking lamp. The package it came in was small, it was easy to assemble. I actually love the lamp.

I just checked out this floor lamp in the Target store. The blue version is not at all like the picture. The picture here looks like it had a brown and a green, two blues and a white. In reality, the shades are navy, medium blue, teal, light aqua and white.

The best part of this lamp is the shade, it is stunning. I was looking for a lamp with a southwestern flair but not one that was "over the top" This is just subtle enough and the light it emits is great! I had another lamp in the space I put this one and you couldn't see anything--with this one there isn't problem. The packing of this lamp was unbelievably great. All is all, I am more than pleased.

This inline power switch really does its job well. The instructions are there for the rookie, and the only thing you need to concern yourself about is choosing the hot wire to cut into. In my case, the hot wire was marked so that you could easily tell that it was hot. I recently purchased a food dehydrator, and to my surprise, the only way to turn it off is to pull the plug. The new switch was a no-brainer, and I am very pleased with the results!

There always seems to be a spot in the kitchen where you need more light to work or read a recipe. This lamp does that and fits perfectly under my new cabinets (14" overall height) If you've been looking at accent lamps, you know it's hard to find one that takes a 60watt bulb...this one does! It's so much more appealing than a retina-frying spotlight-style lamp. And, it has a 2-position switch that allows for partial or full wattage. It lends a cozy glow to the room when used alone, too. The lamp is small but has a nice balance. The painted birds and berries are done in subtle shades with a rich texture. Can you tell I'm happy with it? Delivery was prompt and packaging was adequate.

I don't get as much natural light as I'd like so I decided to bring the outdoors indoors by letting nature dictate my decorating choices. I thought this lamp would add to that motiff from the look of it in the photos so I ordered it. It will be sitting on a dresser near a drape panel that reminds me of the banding around the lamp as well as the tree branches. The lamp is attractive and I like the fact that the way the bottom is made, the cord can be pulled through either of the four sides. The lamp shade is very attractive and expensive looking. This lamp is the perfect size for my purposes.

Two things to note however. It is listed in the description here as being 60 watt bulb compatible but there is a sticker on the bulb screw in place that clearly states NOT to exceed 40 watts. This was a disappointment since the shade is the clip on style (as opposed to the screw on fial style) so one has to use bulbs shaped like the old incandescent bulbs. I need to do further research as I think more traditional style energy efficient bulbs are being sold but so far all my energy saving bulbs are looped so I cannot use them in this lamp. I mention this so one can take both points into consideration when making a decision.

The final comment is about the banding around the lamp. The description does not say this lamp is hand painted so the fact that the pics are decals does not bother me. However, the banding was not applied as carefully as it should have been and does not meet properly. I finally decided to keep the lamp as I'm hopeful no one will notice but consumers need to stop doing this. As it becomes more and more likely that we'll be doing all our shopping on line (I practically already do!) so that we cannot see the product, then we have to consider that the "trouble" to send items back is more than compensated by the convenience of sitting at a computer to research thousands of items we couldn't find in stores even if we ran around all day! Just saying as I passed the lamp recently without my glasses and I saw the spot where the lines didn't meet but I did know the spot was there.

Overall it seems to be well made lamp, looks expensive and is attractive IMO. I'm glad I have it and it looks so nice on my smallish dresser. I'lll repost if it gives me any trouble as I bought another lamp last year that turned on six times, then froze! For now, this would be a five star item if it wasn't for the two items mentioned. Still four stars though.

Edited to add: after writing this review I went shopping for a shower curtain, right here at amazon.com of course. I found the Lenox Chirp Shower Curtain which looks beautiful. I'll review when I get it. It will be perfect for my nature theme and will pick up on this pretty lamp. These two items wouldn't please everyone but I'm going into 2013 happy!

Nice lamp; it brightens up a dark corner with a bit of light (put in a 25 watt bulb) Note that it only accepts candelabra size bulbs, and not standard size bulbs. You can see the bulb fitting however thru the clear parts of the lamp on the sides; I wish that it had either some frosting or more decorative glass to hide the bulb fitting.

This lamp is really cool. It's not huge and not small, really great proportions. I have it on a timer so it goes on at night to light my office. Really fun. I would have given this 5 stars, except the bulb burned out and there aren't factory replacements. Kind of a bummer. I did find something that would fit (a Satco 40-watt/120v Candelabra Base Model #S3847 Satco S3847 120V Candelabra Base 40-Watt G12.5 Light Bulb, Clear). I works the lava correctly, but it's not bright enough to have the wax color come through (looks black). I would wait to buy this until the vendor's site has replacement bulbs available.

My four year old simply loves this lamp, as do we. Build quality is fantastic and looks amazing lit-up. Its aluminium construction and size are what makes this rocket shaped lava-lamp stand out from all the cheaper versions around. I would highly recommend this to anyone. If buy from overseas (as I did) make sure you check the bulb to see that it's installed correctly before turning on. The bulb that came with my unit was 240v compatible but installed slightly off-skew and burnt out within a couple of minutes, easy fix with a replacement bulb. I also removed the lower portion of the power cable (switch to socket) and replaced it with an Australian version for simpler and adapter-free usage.

I have been looking for years for the perfect light fixture to put above my kitchen sink. This one is perfect. It is open end, so I can change light bulbs easily, and I don't have to climb a ladder to do it. It uses regular light bulbs instead of specialty bulbs. It uses up to 100 watt bulbs, but I have 60 watt in each side and that is plenty of light. Looks pretty and matches my kitchen faucet. The first one arrived with both globes shattered, but another one arrived within a week and it was ok. Packaging is good, so I assume it was thrown around a lot in delivery. I would highly recommend this item.
