When I pulled this from the box my heart nearly flopped. I thought I had broke the frill off of the top of the peacock's head. Luckily enough, due to the material used it just bent over and was easy to straighten back up. No worries! This is indeed a beautiful decorative lamp and has added a nice touch to a center piece where it was placed between several house plants in a living room window. I've noticed neighbors looking at it and catchs their attention. My one and only concern I'd like to voice is the fact the top light bulb inside does not sit high enough to illuminate the upper portion of the peacock's body. Slight disappointment, but it's minor. This is the only reason why I did not give this lamp a 5 star rating.

The lamp was pretty, but small and. comes unassembled.The pieces don"t fit together so well. So, I decided to send it back. Now comes the hard part. It has to be shipped to Thailand! It costs almost as much as the price of the lamp to send it at the lowest price USPS, plus you have to fill out a customs form. The shipper was very nice, sending me emails and refunding my purchase price, but I was still out the cost of shipping to Thailand. Would not purchase again.

First, I want to say that the seller of this item is a total sweetheart. The paper "lantern" comes from Thailand (or possibly China, I forget which) and is sent USPS. Because of its size/shape and the way it is mailed, if you are not home to receive the package, the post office will hold it (and possibly put a slip in your mail indicating that you have something waiting for you). Unfortunately, my post office failed to notify me, but did message the seller indicating that, unless the package was picked up, it would be sent back.

The seller got in contact with me right away. They let me know that if I couldn't find the package, they'd be more than happy to work with me, but they were very concerned about the package being delivered to me.

About the lantern, itself, I would say this-I was a little disappointed with the overall... overall-ness of it. The lamp is definitely made of paper, and while the design is pretty (and feminine), it's ... not as attractive as it appears here. There's more of a depth here to the design. Everything about the lamp is 100% represented here, don't get me wrong, but "in person" the lamp isn't quite as three dimensional (this is hard to describe, sorry!).

Also, and this might be part of my problem, my lamp did not come with any instructions. Keep in mind that this is not assembled when it arrives. It comes in a flat package. You must assemble it and part of that involves having the proper materials on hand. For mine, I had to use a strong bonding glue in order to assemble it correctly (and even then it wasn't a sure-thing). While the pieces seem intuitive on the install, my lamp did not line up correctly in several of the areas and required me to both glue and then wrap it in rubber bands in order to for it to "set". Once the glue firmed up, I removed the rubber bands and the lantern sits fine.

This is adorable. .it takes mins to assemble and the overall effect it beautiful. It doesn't give off a lot of light, less than a candle so its more about the look of it. It plugs right in. Downside it ships from Thailand so it was about 5 weeks of waiting but it is worth the wait. Very pretty addition to my bedroom.

Dale Tiffany Dragonfly Table Lamp Reviews

We own several other Dale Tiffany stained glass lamps and this one is the same high quality we expected. The glass is very colorful, nicely soldered and finished. The base is high quality and nicely finished also. This lamp takes two of the new small base bulbs. (They look like, and are the same size a regular bulb but with a small base the size of a night light bulb instead of the standard sized Edison base) The safety sticker says to use 40W bulbs but we have been using 60W bulbs in similar lamps for years. I think it's more of an energy saving thing more than a safety precaution.

In years past we have had a lot of problems with lamps arriving broken because of poorly designed packaging. This is certainly not the case with this lamp! The styrofoam packaging is form fit and made to cradle the shade from within and without so I think it could take even the roughest of UPS tossing. Not one piece was broken or bent.

If you need a smaller sized accent lamp, this is certainly a very nice one.

I purchased this lamp because I liked the way it was described in terms of size and colors, and the way it was pictured. The order arrived within the week, and the lamp was packaged well. The base is heavy, looks good, but I am displeased with the colors on the shade. While the dragonflies are OK, the base color of the shade is mostly green, and dark green at that. Even with a 60W bulb it looks very dark nothing like the picture. Without the light on, it looks almost black. Very disappointing!

Don't know why the picture shows silver base and light pastel colors. It is definately a dark color lamp. I have several Dale Tiffany lamps and I have not been disappointed yet.

I ordered this lamp on the basis of the picture---predominantly blue shade with delicate light green and pink facets, pewter colored base. What arrived was a predominantly green shade with dark red (almost bliocked up) facets and a dark brown base.

The picture is very, very misleading, and I am thinking of returning the lamp even though it does seem to be well made. After all, if it doesn't fit the room, it doesn't fit. The lamp in the picture would fit though...

At first I thought that the lamp couldn't be left in the straight position, but after a good tug, I was able to straighten it completely or swing it out. There were a couple of issues, however. When 150W incandescent bulbs are used, the bulb in the higher position sticks up above the glass. I had to put a 150W in the bottom holder and a smaller 100W bulb in the higher socket. The lamp is meant to hold two 150 W bulbs, so this is silly. A glass bowl that was a bit higher would have solved this. Also, a silver cap near the top is crooked. This part came preassembled and cannot be straightened. This is minor, however. If CFLs are used, the company recommends that they only be used on the high setting, so if you're planning to use those bulbs, be aware that you will not have the option of using a lower setting. The price at this site was the lowest I found for this lamp. I originally bought it at a local store for $179. Fortunately, I hadn't opened the box yet and was able to return it when I found the lamp on Amazon.

We were looking for a bright lamp and since they no longer sell 500W halogen lamps, this was the next best alternative. The lamp is attractive, in a coquettish way, and the light is bright (though not as bright as the stars deep in the heart of Texas) for a non-halogen lamp. I would recommend this product.

Made in China is the only instruction that you get, and its printed in bold on the box. This is a desk lamp with low luminance. Its output is similar to an old low wattage incandescent light bulb. The color of the light is not akin to halogen bulbs at all. Maybe its the heavy frosting of the cover. I did not return the product, and I'm trying to find a reasonable use for it. I do not recommend this product.

I had bought 2 of these because they were in my price range and matched my decor really well. Unfortunately, when I received them, they were smaller than what the advertisement stated. I immediately contacted their customer service chat, which was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find (could not find a telephone number anywhere). I told them it wasn't fair I had spent money on something they advertised incorrectly and should have received the item that WAS advertised. They weren't very helpful and the guy could barely TYPE English with typos and lines that didn't make any sense. Not-so-great customer service.

Now to the lamp. It's really cute, BUT one of the lamps where the golden design is on the body is rubbed off half way, so it looks like they didn't even check to see if that one was okay to sell. Secondly, the lampshades are REALLY cheap. You can see the glue all over the back. They basically folded it over and glued it with really dark yellow glue. Horrible. Luckily, you can turn that to the back, but still shouldn't have to pay $27 for something a 5 year old could have made look better.

Like I said, I really like the lamp, but it is NOT worth the money or the hassle.

It's horrible quality and is very cheap.

You will most likely get something you are not satisfied with.

These decals were easy enough for my 2 1/2 year old to "help" place them on her bedroom wall, and they're small enough to not make the room look cluttered when they're put into small clusters here and there in the room. These peel off and restick without leaving any residue on the wall (and our walls are textured), and they're fairly thick, so you don't need to worry about the decal ripping when you remove it from the backing. From the image, I knew that there would be a lot of images of Sofia, I just would have liked to have different poses of her (these are the same that you see on every Sofia product out there, nothing new). And on a side note, this product can be found at BRU, for less.

After reading several reviews on this product I decided to purchase this product. The Delivery was fast through Amoxon Prime! 2nd day Delivery!! Which is always a plus!! I put this light over my pool table in my Gameroom. Now because the pool table had already been installed working around it seemed a bit tough. I would say if you have basic knowledge in electricity it's an easy install! If not then an electrician is recommended. In my case I had electrician install the fixture which took 30 min tips!!! The only issue we had was the side where you run the cable through the chains up to the ceiling. We noticed it was noticeably off level!! After troubleshooting I went to my local Home Depot and grabbed some weighted washers that fit perfectly inside the opening of the light pole fixture.

As far as lighting!! I'm satisfied it lights up the whole room 20X16 I would recommend this product!! By the way the only reason I rated it 3 stars was based on the fact that I had to level out the light using materials outside of what was purchased!! Other than that a good purchase.

I bought this to use with my new 8' pool table. I've received more comments on this light than the pool table itself, which cost many thousands of dollars! When I see similar looking lights as lighting stores, they cost at least twice as much. Here are my thoughts after several months of use.

PROS

Gorgeous light fixture; the oiled rubbed bronze is classic and elegant and the glass shades provide a beautiful amber glow

Although it looks heavy, it's actually very light; perfect if you already have the table in place since it can be held up by one person easily

Very durable; the first electrician I used actually goofed and the entire fixture fell on the table 2 days later luckily there was no damage to the table or the light fixture (hired a new electrician and replaced the bulbs)

More than ample light -three 100w bulbs is very bright so I have a dimmer on the switch

Easy to adjust height by adding or removing links; the bottom of my light is exactly 32" from the table, perfect to cast light on the entire table while minimizing shadows on the balls

Incredible value at about $300

CONS

Takes a little bit of patience to get the glass shades to align

The glass shades, though durable, cannot be wiped hard or scrubbed since the "cracked" coating comes off easily (when my light fell, a chain link scuffed one of the shades so I learned the hard way)

OVERALL

I love this light fixture! If I didn't already have medallion lights in my kitchen, I would consider buying another one to put above the island. In the meantime, I'm going to soak up all the compliments this is bringing me when people see this hanging above my pool table.

This is a cheap dual lava/glitter lamp but no cheaper than most other lava lamps you'll find. Ironically the standard that you see most everywhere (due to idiotic patent restrictions) is of the Lava Lite type, which range from average-to-terrible depending how your specific lamp scored during D20 QC rolls. This is no worse than the average ones (say 11 STR, 16 CHA?), but neither is it any better. Cheap base, very poor quality plastic materials excepting the two glass lamp canisters themselves which are heavy duty glass and were not cracked as far as I can tell. One of my two glass canisters (the glitter one) either had leaked a bit or had spillage from the factory. I didn't realize it was toxic and got some on my hands before I saw on the top of the canisters, "Avoid skin contact" -oops. The lamp's saving grace is that it's really beautiful during operation. The glitter is a constant stream of motion and the lava is exactly as you'd expect from a functioning lava lamp.

If I have any reliability, functionality, or flammability problems I will definitely come back and update because I plan to be using this lamp all day every day until the end of days.

This is a very cool lava lamp. It arrived quickly and meets all expectations. Just be aware that it gets really hot and it will take over an hour to warm up enough for the wax to start moving.
