Pretty Peacock Tiffany Table Lamp -1748 Reviews

Customer Ratings:

When I pulled this from the box my heart nearly flopped. I thought I had broke the frill off of the top of the peacock's head. Luckily enough, due to the material used it just bent over and was easy to straighten back up. No worries! This is indeed a beautiful decorative lamp and has added a nice touch to a center piece where it was placed between several house plants in a living room window. I've noticed neighbors looking at it and catchs their attention. My one and only concern I'd like to voice is the fact the top light bulb inside does not sit high enough to illuminate the upper portion of the peacock's body. Slight disappointment, but it's minor. This is the only reason why I did not give this lamp a 5 star rating.

It looks cheap in real life and the lamp shade is poorly put together and it is noticeable right out of the box. Good thing I did not pay full price.

Arrived today in a huge box with lots of Styrofoam packing. It was very secure and came with complete instructions. Lead soldering is black and is not in perfect condition. If you stand and look at it very close you will see lots of imperfections, but from across the room on a table this little beauty shines. I have amber colored bulbs in it and it just enhances the color even more. Couldn't be more pleased with how it changed the whole look of my home.

I received my light and immediately set it up, or should I say, plugged it in. I noticed right away it was making noise while rotating. I figured after it ran a while the noise would work its way out. It never did, the gears were making a grinding noise and once every rotation there would be a pop. I returned it and got a replacement asap from Amazon.

The second also makes a noise but isn't as noticeable, but its the gears again.

Otherwise the light is cool and makes an impact in a sports room.

I'll deal with the slight noise......

This Banker's Lamp arrived 2 days after I had placed my order, and it was securely packaged, with nary a scratch, dent or ding or anything broken. Just the right amount of light is given..brighter than a night light, but less light than a regular light bulb lamp. I highly recommend.

Best Deals for Traditional Bankers Lamp

After reading some of the horror stories for cheaper banker's lamps I decided to go a bit upscale. I'm glad I did.

The Ledu-brand lamp came completely assembled. All I did was screw in the included CFL lamp and plug it in. The blue glass shade's friction screw was tightened enough that I can position the shade wherever I like--no adjustment was necessary to the screw.

Note that there are multiple listings and, unfortunately, wildly varying prices, for this same lamp all over Amazon. If you search for "ledu bankers lamp" you'll see what I mean. Mine was $53.55 from Shoplet.

Very satisfied with my purchase.

Discount Lava Lite 14-1/2-Inch Classic Lava Lamp, White/Pink

Customer Ratings:

After reading the reviews, I was a bit nervous about ordering this as a gift...so instead of having the item shipped directly to the recipient, I had it sent to me so that I could check it out first.

Big waste of time/energy: the item arrived, was assembled, plugged in and did exactly what it was supposed to do (attractively, too).

I'm not sure what the unhappy customers are expecting here, but maybe they're disappointed because the reality of the item doesn't match their memory of what the item "should be".

The pink liquid is too dark and can hardly see the white wax movement in the lamp. I will be returning and look for one with clear liquid and colored wax. Construction of the lava lamp was very good.

I bought it because it reminded me of the past, when life was more carefree. Lava Lite is a trip down memory lane for me and the cost of the trip was reasonable.

Lava Lite is good for setting a nice warm atmosphere. I still love the Lava Lite! Perhaps it could be used as a night lite for kids.

I live on the east coast and we are experiencing sporatic power outages due to the storms from the past few days. I purchased my illumaguard several weeks ago and when the power went out last night my light flickered off and immediately came back on. I turned it off when I went to bed and early this morning when I woke up to no power I turned it back on. It's amazing. It lit up my family room, kitchen and stairs. I turned it off when it got light out and since then the power has been restored and the illumaguard is recharging. This is truly a great product and works exactly as advertised. I'm going to buy a few more before the next storm and give them to my family.

have two units in house i read the review about the light that did not last and i would say test the unit all you have to do is unplug it with the light on.i went through sandy and had to use the light for three days i put it on at night and off when i slept.it lasted for all of two nights and a part of third.i will get two more units since my wife has a thing about lights in the cats room and this is the safest way to have light for them.

Honest reviews on Illumaguard Table/Floor Lamp Power Outage Backup System

We are gearing up for a cold winter here in the Pacific Nothwest, and that always means a power outage or two. This is a perfect solution to accompany our flameless candles and our flashlights when the power goes out. We installed this in the livingroom on a torch lamp and it lights the entire area.

I wish the company would make one to power small appliances, like a coffee pot or hairdryer. Recommended highly for seniors...no more stubbed toes!

You must use a smaller watt bulb with this or else it will not work in a power outage. Upon charging it the first time, it worked, however, the second time, I couldn't get it to light the bulb at all. I have not had a real power outage to test it out timewise. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping it works when I need it most. Very pretty product. Very heavy duty.

Honest reviews on Mah Jong Tiles Encased in Wood Table Lamp

This is almost a great lamp -but missed the mark. The base was not property attached to the column; even more problematic was the poor packaging which resulted in damage during shipment. It's a shame, because the lamp is really clever and potentially a great accent. But the customer service was phenomenal: prompt, courteous, efficient. Despite the quality control on the item, I'd be inclined to shop with them again based on the customer service.

I installed couple of these as a tester before purchasing more. So far it has been working as desired. Here's my feedback and observation so far after a week's use

1. Built and looks are good.

2. One of the outlets is a Z-Wave outlet and another one is always on pass thru

3. Pairing with Z-wave is really simple and takes less than a minute for complex setup and few seconds for a simple remote. If you have a Harmony 890/1000 remote you will be able to use it without any gateway as well.

4. Z-wave outlet let's you Dim the lights including letting you control from your remote or on the module

5. Load Sense feature, which is disabled by default, can be enabled to let you use it without any remote or Z-wave interface. You can simply power-on your Lamp and module will sense the load of the lamp and simply powers it on. This is a good feature case you have a not so technically savvy person at home or have younger kids or even with guests do it the traditional way.

6. It does not seem GE makes it and seems a OEM brand. Other brands are also selling, like homepro, that seems very much alike but I have not used others yet.

7. Can be combined with several scenes to watch TV and dim lights. Before going to bed or leaving the house a single click/buttin will ensure that everything is powered off.

Cons:

1. I really wish that both the outlets were Z-wave

2. Little complex to enable Load Sense

3. Manual is just piece of paper ready to be recycled specifically advanced configuration and commands

4. Tech support is technically challenged and you may feel that you may know more than them. By the time they get back to you may have already resolved the problem just with the help of your own skills or or just by Google.

Other Thoughts:

1. Z-Wave outlet: This is a Lamp Module with Dimmer and should not be used for constant current required devices like an "Air Conditioner" or coffee maker.

2. Does work with Dimmable CFL although at "very low" settings you notice flickering effect but that is no fault of either devices. This is how CFL is supposed to behave (for now)

3. There is a Soft fuse instead of wired traditional fuse good for resets case something goes wrong but I am little skeptical for now.

Hope this will help you find what you're looking for.

my husband and I bought the starter kit, a remote, a few extra modules and a thermostat and light switch. He found something that gives us a year free of the Nexia (formerly Schlage link) subscription and it was cheaper than us buying the vera and the individual pieces. After that we are going to be getting a vera bridge because it's basically the same service and you don't have to pay a service fee. It was awesome because he ordered it while he was deployed and turned the light on and off and dimmed it while in Singapore! How cool is that!!! The girls in the apartment complex are jealous too lol

Honest reviews on GE 45602 Z-Wave Technology Lamp Module Dimmer, White

Recently bought a few of these and they dont work. All four in this shipment were labeled Ver 3.0d with Date Code 1243 and have the same issue. When sending the OFF command from the controller, this unit dims a bit then go to full brightness about 80% of the time. This makes them pretty much useless. Had no issues with a previous batch I bought which were all labled Ver 3.0a. Will be following up with Jasco/GE to ensure that I dont get another set from the same defective batch. Plus points for a great product at a good pricepoint. Negative points for a defective batch and poor Quality Contol.

I have used this lamp for close to a year now. It is very attractive and provides good light, but creates intense interference on my telephone line, as does another Ott-Lite that I own.

I've had this lamp and it's floor lamp version for several years now and I thought I should offer a review since I'm experienced with them. My parents bought these for me as a birthday present before I moved out to college. That was in 2006 and I still have these lamps. The metal finish doesn't show scratches, and it doesn't scratch easily. The original bulbs are still going and I run them often. The transformer in the lamps originally made a slight humming noise but I no longer notice it. They flicker to turn on but that isn't anything to fuss over. Reading on the computer or in a textbook with these lamps is like reading them out in natural, perfectly bright, sunlight.

I lived in Florida my whole life and then moved to New York where dismal gray occurs much more often. The lamps definitely helped me get over the sun setting hours earlier and the gray days. Having them on definitely made me feel like there was still sunlight outside coming into my room, even late at night.

The lamps get as warm as any other lamp in my experience, and can be quite bright when looking at the bulb. However, the lamps don't put out as much light as regular lamps. I actually use the desk lamp on my desk, and the floor lamp right next to my desk to cancel out the shadows. I have a central ceiling light in my room and use that in conjunction with these to create a brightly lit room. But these lamps weren't made to be really bright, they were made to imitate sunlight coming through a window, and that they do perfectly.

I recommend one change for customers to make to this lamp: assemble the top lamp part backwards from what the picture shows. The difference won't be too apparent, except the felt pad to keep the lamp pieces from scratching won't be in the right position. If you do this, the lamp can angle upward much more than the other way, and spread out the light across a greater area. I really liked this change; if you dislike the dark look that lamps create by lighting only certain areas, you will enjoy it too.

Despite a few set backs (brightness and needing to make a small modification), I still give these lamps 5 stars. They're five years old and look brand new, they are still stylish, they still get compliments for their looks and the light they output. Best of all, they actually do what they claim to do as OttLites: produce natural-looking sunlight. And they are definitely worth this reduced price.

I like the overall design of these desk lamps and I bought two of them for my office last year.

Both lamps quit working about 6 months into duty. Thought it was just the bulbs having burnt out, so I replaced both bulbs with Ottlight replacements (at over $10 each). Turned out the ballast/electronics is not user serviceable. So I now have two paperweights. Very disappointed in Ott quality control on this product and I probably will not buy Ott lamps again.

Strong clean light. Used to place between two 32 inch computer monitors to avoid glare or reflections in the monitor screen and light the desk area. Would like a feature to adjust the height up to 36 inches. Works well.

I think they called this a bronze finish, but I would call it brown. The lamp is put together well and is very stable on carpet. I wanted a halogen lamp for reading and the bightness of this unit is perfect. The drawbacks I believe exist with this model is the lack of adjustment for the lamp. More articulation in this area would be an improvement. The location of the switch on the main stem is awkward because where you would normally position this lamp you have to turn around to turn it on and off. I wish there were more to choose from, but given my choices I am happy with this lamp and can live with its design limitations.

After purchasing a new Casio AP-420 Digital Piano from Amazon, I was in the market for a new piano lamp. I was shocked to find that the typical piano lamp sells for anywhere from 75 to 200 US dollars! I'm sure those other lamps are quite nice, but I wasn't about to shell out that kind of dough. Luckily, I stumbled across this lamp on Amazon. It is cute, has a wonderful satin finish, and yes, it even looks nice on my piano every bit as nice as one of those hundred dollar lamps, I'm sure.

The angle of the arm is adjustable, as is the 'tilt' of the lamp head. It requires a 40W or less standard base T-Type bulb, which wasn't included. If you need a piano lamp and don't have money to burn, you can't go wrong with this one.

I have had this lamp for 2 1/2 years. The finish is lovely. HOWEVER, since the very beginning, it was less than wonderful. It is top-heavy and tips forward easily if I adjust it properly to shine over the top of the piano and onto my music. Yesterday the stupid thing decided to tumble off the piano entirely when I couldn't catch it in time. Get something with a heavier base. I wish I had.

I almost had a heart attack when I saw the prices of piano lamps! I think this lamp is absolutely perfect! I have it put very low and it has a great heavy base and isn't remotely going to tip over. You need to make sure the levers are tightened where you want them, but they stay put after that. I got a GE Reveal bulb for this from Home Depot. It was a couple extra dollars, but the light is much like sunlight. It perfectly lights up my music. Many times I play at night with only this light and it is all I need. I can't see any reason to spend a fortune on a piano lamp when this one is so great!
