I can not recommend any Tensor or Catalina lighting product due to their horrendous customer service! If you attempt to contact them about a warranty issue, they promise they will take care of it, but they never send you the paperwork necessary to process the return.When I called their customer service department in Canada to complain, they got extremely nasty saying "its only a light" and "I do not get paid enough to deal with these problems" In summary I believe that Catalina/ Tensor products are poorly made, and the company does not stand behind its products

I use the tensor modelFS125 on top of the elevated back of my computer desk. The quality is excellent with relatively low wattage. I would purchase another if they were available.

I bought two Tensor floor lamps which had Mica-like lamp heads. I used only the specified 50-100-150 single bulbs. We noticed a smell and hint of smoke and discovered that the bulb was melting and had blackened the lamp head. We had a hard time finding how to contact Catalina Lighting (no phone number) but finally contacted the customer rep. After many days, they acknowledge the issue (sent them pictures) but will no longer respond. We complained to the South Florida BBB but they already have may complaints against them and never respond (according to the BBB). My opinion, it the products say Tensor or Catalina Lighting, move on to another product that won't catch fire and with a vendor that will stand behind their products!

I ordered a 24-pack each of the 100 Watt and 60 Watt bulbs. The box was well packed and received with not a single broken bulb! I tested a few of each of the bulbs from each 24-pack and they worked with no problems. The construction of these bulbs appears higher in quality than the GE and Sylvania bulbs I have been buying, especially the soldering on the screw end and side. Some name-brand bulbs I have purchased have big solder globs making it difficult to screw them in or remove them from the light socket.

Please be aware that these bulbs are rated for 130V and 120V operation will produce less light and will look slightly more yellow-orange in color. I am a professional photographer with color darkroom experience so very familiar with "color temperature." The 100 Watt bulb looked about the same brightness when placed next to a 75 Watt bulb, and the color was almost identical. My outlet voltage tends to run high at 120V to 122V, because I have a transformer on the utility pole right in front of my house. If you live farther from the closest transformer or in a rural area the voltage may be as low as 110V to 115V. If so, these 130V bulbs may not be the best choice Light output drops off very quickly with lower voltage and will be much warmer in color (yellow-orange). But even at low line voltage they are a good choice for outside lights and hard-to-reach bulbs, since they will last 2 to 3 times longer than a standard 120V bulb. They will also look brighter and more pleasing than those nasty CFL bulbs!

Another "bright" idea is to try mixing your light sources by using a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL)in some fixtures and these 130V incandescent bulbs in others. This works especially well with light fixtures that have two or more sockets. CFL bulbs are colder in color toward blue-green. The yellow-orange color of these 130V bulbs will help to provide a more pleasing light when used together with CFL bulbs. You will also be saving on energy, just not as much as using CFL bulbs in ALL your sockets.

I first learned about these bulbs 15 years ago, where we used them in commercial applications. I can tell you that these bulbs last longer than anything else we tried. I finally started buying them for my own personal use, and some of these in my house are still burning after nearly 10 years. Compared to other 130 Volt bulbs, these are hands down the best bulb I have ever tried...and I have tried a bunch of them.

One bulb was broken in the box. It was not in an end package so I am not sure how it got broken. I suspect that it was broken prior to shipment. I have used the Decade 20,000 hour version of this light bulb and loved it. Will have to see how long this bulb lasts. Hope this lasts well.

I received my light and immediately set it up, or should I say, plugged it in. I noticed right away it was making noise while rotating. I figured after it ran a while the noise would work its way out. It never did, the gears were making a grinding noise and once every rotation there would be a pop. I returned it and got a replacement asap from Amazon.

The second also makes a noise but isn't as noticeable, but its the gears again.

Otherwise the light is cool and makes an impact in a sports room.

I'll deal with the slight noise......

These lamps so pretty in the picture. I was aware that the price was very very low but I figured I would give them a try anyway because they are touch lamps which was what I was looking for. They do not come assembled. Assembly is a pain in the neck. The individual pieces of glass that you have to put together were broken so I packed them all back up and returned them. Very very disappointed.

It is pretty; it has good lighting, but it is a little bit on the cheap side, and I had a little trouble keeping the light bulb in and stable.

This is a pretty little lamp but it is very fragile. The pieces of the shade are hanging on just barely to the frame and if you are clumsy or have big hands you may not be able to assemble it. The glass components are held onto the frame with delicate clips which I feel could have been a little longer. I have this in my guest room and I literally have to issue a warning "touch the base only, do not touch the shade". I love touch lamp technology especially for older guests but I don't want to have to worry about the shade falling apart if it is actually touched. I did not send this back but I would not buy it again.

Product arrived ok Seemed in good shape The base is so delicate with no cushioning on the bottom of the lamp if you set the lamp down normally it will crack as my lamp did I suggest putting stick on pads around base to avert such a disaster. I was so excited when I found this lamp and it would match my new living room furniture perfectly. It was pricey for me, but I bought it anyways.

I did measurements from the product description, which were confusing. So when it arrived, I was shocked to see how small it really was. It was meant for living room, but ended up on my bedroom nightstand. The lamp shade also lays pretty low onto the lamp itself. There is no way to raise it up and for it to stay in place. It was definitely not worth the $50 I paid.

For the low price I paid for this lamp, it's hard to complain. The plastic that makes up the stand/base itself seems to be a little bit flimsy, but it would do if you had to use it. I personally just took the liquid-filled glass piece out and put it into the old lava lamp I already had (it's the same brand, so it fits perfectly). The wax in my old lamp had turned bad, and the liquid was cloudy -and this was a great replacement. The liquid for this new one is crystal clear, and when the wax heated up, it had plenty of 'action' and bubbling, as I'd hoped. The product was also shipped very quickly, and it was packaged securely in a bigger box, so damage was unlikely. Overall, a great find for the price!

I have pruchased many lights over the years and the Stella Constellation light is by far the best. It can be set at three light variations. It is just wonderful. A light touch of the finger tip and it is on. It has a long cord making it easier to move to the location that bests suits you in the moment. I use it next to my sewing machine and then turn it to light up my large ironing board when I get up to press. I cannot imagine how I have survived without it. I would buy another in a second. This is a very unique, very stylish ceiling light. The major downfall is the amount (or lack of) light that this puts out. Basically it makes a good nightlight that will cast a soft mood light across a big room. You cannot use this light as primary lighting, not nearly enough output for that. I bought this lamp for Mom's birthday. It's just beautiful and she loves it. It looks even better lit up than it does in the picture: imagine all the colors just glowing from the lightbulbs and you'll know what I mean. The colors are vibrant, especially the blues, but not garish. It has a heavy bottom, so it definitely won't tip over, but picking it up could be a problem for weaker folks. Highly recommended!

I ordered a set of these lamps for my bedroom. The lamps are obviously well made. They sit solidly on my night stands. The mica panels in the lamp shade seem durable for such a delicate material. The on and off function of the pull chains is very smooth and has a well built feel to it.

The lamps have two bulb sockets per lamp and a pull chain for each socket. I hadn't wanted two bulbs in each lamp, but then I realized it's perfect for my needs. I have a low wattage bulb in the socket closest to the bed for late night reading and a higher wattage bulb in the other socket for illuminating the bedroom.

The light shining through the mica gives the mica the appearance of illuminated papyrus. It's a very attractive effect.

Nice lamp. A little pricey, but it does dress up my room. I wish there were other items like it to make a matching set. It doesn't produce as much light as I would have hoped. Looks like it is well made though. I like how it adds a contemporary feel, but also has classic lines.

The description on this lamp reads "White Mica panels." When the lamp came, I was very disappointed to see that the panels were not white, but a dark tan color. I had ordered this lamp thinking it would give me bright lighting for the study, but that was not the case with tan panels! In addition, returning this lamp was a nightmare, with 7 emails to the seller before I could get a return label for the manufacturer, Cal Lighting. FedEx tracking showed that the lamp arrived over a week ago, but I haven't heard about crediting my account yet. I called Cal Lighting Customer Service and left my name and phone number, but no one has returned my call. Finally had to file an A-Z Guarantee Claim for reimbursement. A total disaster and much frustration!
