I was looking for a hammered wide base lamp for my living room and purchased this on Amazon (shipped from Wayfair.com). I originally saw this lamp at Macy's home store, where it was listed for a lot more money. The look and quality are excellent. I did have a problem with some discolored areas on the shade when it arrived. I called Wayfair and they immediately ordered and sent a new shade at no charge. It is a large scale lamp, so make sure you measure correctly before purchasing.

Review of Feit Electric 60A/MP-130 60-Watt A19 Household Bulb, Frosted, 24

I ordered a 24-pack each of the 100 Watt and 60 Watt bulbs. The box was well packed and received with not a single broken bulb! I tested a few of each of the bulbs from each 24-pack and they worked with no problems. The construction of these bulbs appears higher in quality than the GE and Sylvania bulbs I have been buying, especially the soldering on the screw end and side. Some name-brand bulbs I have purchased have big solder globs making it difficult to screw them in or remove them from the light socket.

Please be aware that these bulbs are rated for 130V and 120V operation will produce less light and will look slightly more yellow-orange in color. I am a professional photographer with color darkroom experience so very familiar with "color temperature." The 100 Watt bulb looked about the same brightness when placed next to a 75 Watt bulb, and the color was almost identical. My outlet voltage tends to run high at 120V to 122V, because I have a transformer on the utility pole right in front of my house. If you live farther from the closest transformer or in a rural area the voltage may be as low as 110V to 115V. If so, these 130V bulbs may not be the best choice Light output drops off very quickly with lower voltage and will be much warmer in color (yellow-orange). But even at low line voltage they are a good choice for outside lights and hard-to-reach bulbs, since they will last 2 to 3 times longer than a standard 120V bulb. They will also look brighter and more pleasing than those nasty CFL bulbs!

Another "bright" idea is to try mixing your light sources by using a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL)in some fixtures and these 130V incandescent bulbs in others. This works especially well with light fixtures that have two or more sockets. CFL bulbs are colder in color toward blue-green. The yellow-orange color of these 130V bulbs will help to provide a more pleasing light when used together with CFL bulbs. You will also be saving on energy, just not as much as using CFL bulbs in ALL your sockets.

I first learned about these bulbs 15 years ago, where we used them in commercial applications. I can tell you that these bulbs last longer than anything else we tried. I finally started buying them for my own personal use, and some of these in my house are still burning after nearly 10 years. Compared to other 130 Volt bulbs, these are hands down the best bulb I have ever tried...and I have tried a bunch of them.

One bulb was broken in the box. It was not in an end package so I am not sure how it got broken. I suspect that it was broken prior to shipment. I have used the Decade 20,000 hour version of this light bulb and loved it. Will have to see how long this bulb lasts. Hope this lasts well.

For a 4 pack, it was a good price. A bit less wattage than my last bulb I bought locally. These are very bright in the bedroom. I am more used to the warmer yellow light, but these are less intense than my bluer 100 watt equivalent. Only 5000k instead of the 5300k 100 watt bulb. So, it is daylight in my bedroom.

If you had a 4 day power outage, you could use these with a small 12v inverter and a 100ah battery set up and have great light. Only 2.5amps plus .5amp for your inverter. So only 3amps. Run 5 hrs a night would last about 5-6 nights. Longer if you used it sparingly. So they would last longer than an incandescent bulb. A 125watt bulb would be slightly over 10amps, and would last less than 10 hours or 2 nights at 5 hours per night. It would light your living room, or dining room/kitchen like daylight. You could play cards, read a book, or anything. With a solar charger you could charge the battery up during the day, as after a storm the weather generally clears. You'd be glad to have economical and bright bulbs.

I was looking for a lamp less than 20 inches tall to go on an open shelf in a bedroom. This lamp fits the bill. It's pretty, but it not a good reading lamp or durable enough for a child's room. These limitations are fine with me. I needed something to give a pleasant ambient light to a room with only an over-head. It fits into the shelf, and even my 5 year old grandchild can manage the thumb switch. I like it, and would consider another one for the other side of the bed.

This lamp is perfect for what I wanted: a soft indirect light source on the back corner of my desk. I'm looking at it as I type. It was a bit hard for my huge hands to get at the light bulb socket, and I want to replace my 20 watt fluorescent bulb with a dimmer bulb, but it seems well enough made and does what I want. I really like it.

I own a SE Desk Magnifier lamp so I know what I got wasn't what DBROTH is advertising. I ended up with a lamp by HAWK, which is a cheap, worthless piece of junk. If you try to use the magnifier and bend the lamp part down, the whole lamp falls forward. The base is not heavy enough to support the lamp. The neck of the lamp is too flimsy to stay in position. What I got looked like it might have been a display model because it was badly scratched the the lid to the magnifier didn't lay flat. I returned the two lamps I bought and I am now trying another vender through Amazon. I was very disappointed with this vendor and product. PLEASE NOTE THAT I DID NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM FROM HOBBYTOOLSUPPLY. I am reordering this item from Hobbytoolsuppy and hopefully it will be the correct item. October 24th update: I have just received my new order from Hobbytoolsupply and they are in fact the SE lamps that are advertised by Hobbytoolsupply. I am very happy with my two new lamps. I do beading and these are perfect lamps for working with small beads. I would highly recommend these lamps as long as they are SE Lamps and not some cheap rip off look alike.

This has proven to be a tremendous benefit, reducing eye strain significantly when doing close work. The "ring" of non-glare, flourescent light around the lens enables you to clearly view detail on even the smallest of items. And, Anytime Tools customer service is second to none! You can't go wrong with this magnifier when you consider the cost versus most others on the market!

If you use this magnifying lamp curved over, looking at something on the tabletop (as pictured and illustrated on its box) the whole lamp tips over. I don't know what the other reviewers are using it for (or how) but if your intent is to light and magnify small work on your table top (such as modeling or electronics)... FORGET IT. This lamp is awful unless you're willing to fix it by adding weight to the lamp base.

Also, the magnifying lens only works correctly with the lens a precise, fixed distance from the table top and then a precise, fixed distance between your eyes and the lens. You can't vary one and compensate by adjusting the other. Just weird.

Not well thought out. Wouldn't recommend it. Won't buy it, or any other product from the company that made it.

The bulb shorted out as soon as the lamp was plugged in and a replacement can not be purchased. DB Roth (seller) can or will NOT replace the lamp or bulb so I have the option to pay shipping again to return it for a partial refund or just to foget about it. Either way the recipient doesn't get his Christmas gift, and I get only hassles!

The GoodThe size and magnification of this lamp are just wonderful for working on projects that need a 5X magnification. I found the 12" neck to be a very good height for projects that I was holding in my hands. It would not, however, focus on anything laying on the table where the lamp was placed.

The Bad Despite very limited use in terms of the length of time the bulb was illuminated, it burned out very, very rapidly. Rats!!

The Difficult The bulb in the lamp does not have a manufacturer listed and a call to the manufacturer of the lamp was worthless. Fortunately I was able to find a very nice replacement bulb from Global Industrial Equipment (13 Watt Energy Saving Fluorescent Bulb 6400K, Model 250939) which is carried by Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042RL6HI/ref=oss_product ). The replacement bulb fit perfectly and my magnifying lamp is as good as new. Given that this bulb is used in other lamps carried by Amazon, my hunch is that it will be much more durable than the original.

The item I received was opened and retaped. It looked like a return from another customer. It was partially assembled. The seller claims they open and inspect every package but that's hard to believe. Why would they partially assemble it.

Once the lamp was assembled, I discovered that you have to disassemble the lamp shade every time you need to change the light bulb. The seller confirmed that the lamp was indeed designed this way.

When I requested to return the lamp I was informed I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee plus a shipping fee of $11.73 each way. Even though this item was advertised with free shipping.

I paid $46.32 for this item and would only get a refund of $15.91.

Needless to say I won't be buying anything through this seller again.

The lamp itself is nice looking, and for the most part nice quality. It actually has three of those "swirls" at the base, which was a nice surprise. (There isn't a straight pole going straight down through the center, as it appears to in the picture.) But the glass shade sits right on top of the bulbs, so in order to change a bulb, you would have to disassemble the shade. I was able, through a long time of trial and error, to get it to sit barely above the bulbs, but I don't think that is how it is supposed to be.

But my biggest beef is the fact that it took so long to arrive. I was notified that it shipped about a week after I ordered it, but a week later, when I checked on the status, it had not shipped when they said it did. I got it maybe three or four weeks after I ordered it, which was about a week after the outside timeframe. I would have appreciated some updates, and I definitely do not appreciate being lied to about the shipping. Also, it wasn't easy checking up on the status of shipping. I had to do it in a round about way, as their emails said you couldn't track it.

There was a small crack on the top of the shade, but I decided to overlook it, as the assembling top piece covered it.

This was ordered for my Grandmother. She wanted a shorter lamp than her big tall ones for reading and more space on her coffee table. This turned out to be the perfect size and matched all the other types of metal lamps in the room. We were very impressed. She said it was a bit tough putting it together and when I went over I had to adjust the middle design. They have three metal bars in the middle and they have them swung together in one. So you have to prie them apart, Grandma didn't even notice that part. Probably because I had a hard time moving them into place myself. But once set up it was beautiful.

I got these to hang in front of my bathroom mirror on either side as there was no room for mirror sconces. The bathroom is quite modern and I felt it needed a little sparkle. These are beautiful. Give off decent light and really give the bathroom an upscale feel. I am so happy with these. They are fairly large. My wife and I received the pans in this set for our wedding over 3 years ago. They have been excellent despite very heavy use from us. The non-stick still doesn't stick and there is almost no discoloration. They are very easy to clean because the entire pan is non-stick, not just the inside. The silicon on the handle does an excellent job of protecting your hand from being burnt even at high temperatures.

The only problem we've had is that on a few of the pans the silicon part of the handle came loose. I submitted a request to their customer service department on the web and had brand new pans within a week at no cost to me.

Hot oatmeal can stick to the sides of some pans like concrete. The Anolon 1 1/2 quart saucepan is perfect for two people and is extremely easy to clean. The glass lid allows me to view the erupting oatmeal and turn down the heat before the stove is covered with oatmeal lava.

I purchased the Anolon Advanced cookware set for my wife two years ago and it is still going strong. The non-stick surface is durable and each piece has held up beautifully. I will say, we do not put the pans in the dishwasher. We have only hand wash them so I don't know what the detergent might do to the finish over time. But I will say that I am (and my wife) very happy with the Anolon set and have purchased extra items to add to our cookware arsenal.

Was looking for lighthouse lamps to go on each nightstand in my bedroom. Sort of the theme I have going right now. Searched all through Amazon and there was a decent selection of nice lamps. However most of them were priced well over $100, not what I was looking to spend. I came across these and they looked nice. Pefect for what I was looking for. I liked the "touch" light feature. Never had a lamp like that and I thought that would be something different, especially at night when fumbling in the dark to find the lamp switch. They were priced for about $30. My first impression was okay, for $30 they are going to be poorly made, arrive broken and all plastic. If that was the case I would have sent them back. I ordered two, and they arrived together in the same box. When I opened the box I was immediately impressed at how they packed the pieces. Everything was wrapped carefully to prevent breakage and placed in the box perfectly to avoid movement. Then all the empty space was filled with those mini padded air bags. The lighthouse plates that attach to the shade are made of glass and not one arrived cracked, chipped or broken. I think a company that takes time to ensure their product is packed well really cares about the customer. How many times, and it's happened to all of us at some point or another, you get an item shipped, open the box and it looks like someone just got a box, threw the item in there and mailed it? For a delicate item that can be disappointing. As far as the lamp goes, very sturdy, made of metal, some assembly required but very easy. Love how anywhere you touch the lamp it turns on. Each touch makes the light brighter. you have 3 levels of brightness using a regular B type bulb. Comes with 3 15 watt bulbs, but it can take up to 3 25 watt bulbs if you need more light. There are 3 separate bulb outlets on the lamp base, so all the bulbs get used. Pewter base is an awesome color which would probably go with many different decors. If you search further I think this comes in black as well. All in all very happy with the purchase.

I have been looking for years for the perfect light fixture to put above my kitchen sink. This one is perfect. It is open end, so I can change light bulbs easily, and I don't have to climb a ladder to do it. It uses regular light bulbs instead of specialty bulbs. It uses up to 100 watt bulbs, but I have 60 watt in each side and that is plenty of light. Looks pretty and matches my kitchen faucet. The first one arrived with both globes shattered, but another one arrived within a week and it was ok. Packaging is good, so I assume it was thrown around a lot in delivery. I would highly recommend this item.

My 86 year old mom has tried multiple hand held magnifiers over the years, some lighted, some not, in her efforts to keep reading after a diagnosis of dry macular degeneration. We decided to try this lamp due to the combination of LED lights, gooseneck positioning, and the strength of the magnifier.

In the month since the light was delivered my mom's life has expanded. She loves this light. With her hands free, she can work her large-print crosswords puzzles and is even reading magazines again. We are thrilled with the light and are so grateful that her quality of life is better because of it.

Our one wish for improvement with this light would be for a more weighty base for stability.

I thought I'd update my original review some 18 months after we originally purchased this terrific light.

Mom still loves her light, in fact, Thanksgiving day I overheard her tell a friend that it was her life saver. We've had no troubles with the light since it was purchased. The weight of the base hasn't been an issue for Mom and that is surprising because she is so wobbly.

I saw that it was on sale today and am thinking of buying it for my husband who also has vision troubles. I truly recommend this light to anyone needing hands-free lighted magnification.

Another update. Mom (now 89) still loves her light and uses it every day. No troubles with the LED lights, the base, or the gooseneck. Everything is still working perfectly. I'm so glad we purchased the light.

My wife purchased this lamp for cross stitching at night while we are watching tv. It replaces an older rattle prone cross stitch lamp. The LED is bright and allows her to direct the light to exactly where she needs it so that the light doesn't blind me while watching tv or even talking to her (the old one lit the room and tv like a runway). The magnification is great and she likes that portion. The only negative she spoke of was there is no place to clip the pattern she is following and thus has to pick it up and place it under the magnification when she needs it, but all else is great. She liked it so much she just bought another one to give to her aging dad for use while he does his crossword and game books. It will work terrific for him doing this.

The lamp is lighter weight and less stable than it looks in the picture. It was a little tough to secure the main "post" into the base securely. It is still just a little loose. The lamp itself has a tendency to totter when the magnifier is brought to the lower positions.

This said, the flexible arm is preferable to the hinged ones that are more common in magnifier lamps and the light and mirror are exactly what I need for small craft work. Overall a nice lamp for the price although far from perfect.

Delivery was fast and the packaging traveled well.

I bought this lamp to help my eyes with needlework. I like to sit down and lean back in the sofa or chair when I work. The lamp/magnifier was very carefully packaged and included an AC adapter. The lamp comes in separate pieces that are easy to assemble with easy to follow instructions. The height of the lamp is just right for a seated position but can be somewhat modified by adjusting the angle and tilt of the gooseneck part, but it is not height-adjustable otherwise. The weight of the base is appropriately balanced and the lamp is light enough to carry or move around. The LEDs give off a smooth and strain-less glow. The magnifier is so powerful that I almost don't need my reading glasses. The on/off switch for the LEDs is placed on top of the lamp in a convenient location. I think that the product description provided on the Amazon site doesn't tell you that the LEDs cannot be replaced. However, they are supposed to last 10,000 hours which is plenty. Overall, very good product and excellent value.

I chose this lamp because of the design and colors which coordinate well with our other decor. However, the body and base of the lamp are not centered on top of each other. I thought at first that only one of the 2 that I bought was askew, but both lamps are the same. Very unfortunate for an otherwise perfect lamp. Nevertheless, I will not be returning them as the flaw does not justify all the trouble of repacking and mailing.

First off the lights are exactly as described. I bought these for a Table in a Box light string set of fifteen. However I just couldn't quite bring myself to spring for another box of 12 so I could fill in the missing three needed to complete the light set. When I go the box all were intact and functioning but I noticed that the box would normally hold 15 lights!!! I wont speculate on where the other three went but it seems a bit odd to not throw in the other three that obviously were in the box at one point! Check around for singles of this light on Amazon, check shipping costs and see if 15 singles come in at a lower price. EDIT: I did some followup on this and several vendors here on Amazon sell the identical Bulbrite brand of bulb in several colors. Current pricing for a single amber is $0.82 a piece. The cost of 15 (with shipping) is just over a buck more than the 12 here. Amazon is a great marketplace and I'm constantly learning how to shop it hard for the best deals. Be a smart buyer and learn from my experiences.

Well they work, only one was received broken, and the yellow coating appears to be on the inside rather than outside so they are holding up fine outside on the patiothey don't produce a lot of light definitely for ambiance.
